Wibatara.com sedari awal dirancang untuk dapat digunakan sebagai katalog online ragam batik nusantara. Ide utamanya berasal dari keresahan bahwa adanya upaya asing untuk menguasai batik karena tidak bisa diberlakukan paten terhadap batik. Oleh karena itu diberikan solusi untuk menrancang wibatara.com sebagai media untuk memperkenalkan ragam batik nusantara bahkan hingga ke mancanegara. Untuk dapat digunakan sebagaimana mestinya, perlu dilakukan pengujian usabilitas terhadap wibatara.com. Pengujian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner System Usability Scale (SUS). Distribusi kuesioner dilakukan pada 50 orang responden yang terdiri dari pelajar, mahasiswa, guru, dosen, maupun masyarakat umum. Responden ini dinilai cukup mewakili karena keseharian mereka lumayan intens berkenaan dengan batik, terutama budaya menggunakan batik setiap hari kamis atau jumat, baik disekolah, perguruan tinggi, perkantoran ataupun pada acara lainnya. Pembobotan pilihan jawaban untuk tiap pertanyaan dalam kuesioner menggunakan skala Likert. Perhitungan hasil pengujian menggunakan rumus (SUS). Hasil uji reliability data kuesioner SUS menunjukkan angka 0,615 (questionable) dan hasil rata-rata skor SUS wibatara.com sebesar 79,52 (acceptable).

Abstract:
In the digital era, the existence of a website is a necessity for universities. Websites can be an effective marketing tool because they can reach higher education audiences globally without being limited by geographic boundaries. However, website managers must ensure that the website has good quality and visibility. One tool for measuring the level of website usability was the System Usability Scale (SUS). SUS was chosen because it was considered a simple instrument but can provide an overview of the level of website usability. This research involved 866 student website users. The measurement results show that the website obtained an SUS score of 61.4. This score was then interpreted into three scales, namely Grade Scales, Adjective Ratings and Acceptability Ranges. The results show that the score were categorized into the "D", "Good" and "Marginal Low" categories for the Grade Scales, Adjective Ratings and Acceptability Ranges respectively. This SUS score shows a fairly low level of usability, therefore website improvements, especially in terms of website visuals, are important to do immediately.

The progress of information technology is currently growing rapidly. Technology related to the internet is often a solution to most of the problems in existing needs, especially those related to the effectiveness and efficiency of activities and procedures. In this final project, the author discusses websites in the business field, namely e-commerce websites. In this study, the authors chose one of the most popular e-commerce websites in Indonesia this year, namely the shopee website, a website that not only offers products but also puts forward the appearance of the Shopee website which must always be considered because it is the main factor to increase customer purchases. In this study, the quality of the web that will be measured by users, especially for consumers, is based on measuring the quality of the website using the System Usability Scale (SUS). Evaluation of the shopee website is the first step to measure the level of usability on the website. Usability evaluation on the website is carried out to collect opinions from various respondents regarding the functionality of the website. In this study, the results obtained from the calculation of the average usability of the shopee website of 67.08 so that it can be said that the usability of the shopee website on product purchases has entered the OK category.

Documentation websites are a means for programmers to find solutions to the problems they face. Documentation websites that generally provide detailed information regarding how to use a particular framework. The documentation website used in this research is the documentation website from Tailwind CSS. Tailwind CSS is a CSS framework that has a utility-based component principle. With these principles, the website development process will be shorter, more flexible, responsive, and use code more efficiently. However, the convenience provided forces writing CSS code to be inline-CSS. This results in confusion arising from website programmers regarding CSS terms that are changed by Tailwind CSS. The Tailwind CSS website, which provides information related to the Tailwind CSS framework documentation, is in practice less intuitive, making it difficult for novice programmers to find solutions to the problems they face. This research aims to determine the usability of the Tailwind CSS website, from a student's perspective. The method used in this journal is SUS which is carried out by asking 10 questions related to the Tailwind CSS website to 30 respondents consisting of 87% men and 13% women. The selected respondents were students majoring in technology who used the documentation website from Tailwind CSS. The results of this research found that the Tailwind CSS website received a score of 70 on the SUS and could be categorized as Grade C or Fair.

Salah satu perkembangannya adalah kemampuan melakukan pembelajaran daring menggunakan aplikasi kelas online. Universitas juga memanfaatkan teknologi ini dengan menggunakan aplikasi Google Classroom. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui bagaimana langkah-langkah dalam metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dapat dipakai dalam mengukur tingkat usability dan menganalisis tingkat usability aplikasi Google Classroom. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif SUS sebagai metode penelitian dengan menggunakan kuesioner yang dibuat dengan Google Forms dan dibagikan kepada 78 mahasiswa dan dosen di universitas secara acak. Hasil penelitian ini adalah aplikasi Google Classroom mendapat score SUS 73,141. Ini menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi Google Classroom termasuk Acceptable dalam Acceptability Ranges, dan memiliki Grade Scale B dan termasuk Good dalam Adjective Ratings.

System Usability Scale memiliki 10 pernyataan sebagai alat pengujian serta tidak memerlukan sampel yang besar. Healthy Laifu dibuat dengan tujuan mengajak pemain untuk berpartisipasi dalam tantangan, memecahkan teka-teki, dan mengambil keputusan yang baik terkait pola hidup sehat. Sejak diluncurkan di Play Store Healthy Laifu belum pernah dilakukan pengujian pada tingkat usability. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat usability dan menghasilkan hasil analisis usability Healthy Laifu menggunakan SUS (System Usability Scale). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode SUS (System Usability Scale). Hasil yang diperoleh adalah Healthy Laifu memiliki skor rata- rata SUS 71,91. Menempati level Marginal High pada posisi Acceptibility Ranges, dari sisi Grade Scales sistem menempati Grade C. Sedangkan dari sisi Adjective Rating berada pada posisi GOOD. Healthy Laifu memiliki nilai usability yang tidak terlalu baik, namun masih dapat diterima oleh pengguna.

Penelitian ini mengevaluasi tingkat usability aplikasi Spotify dengan menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS). Di tangah persaingan ketat yang terjadi pada layanan streaming musik, Spotify perlu mempertahankan kualitas layanan untuk menjaga loyalitas pengguna. Penelitian ini bersifat kuantitatif dengan melibatkan 32 responden yang menggunakan kuesioner SUS terdiri dari 10 pertanyaan dengan skala Likert 5 poin. Hasil menunjukkan skor SUS Spotify adalah sebesar 84,5. yang dikategorikan sebagai "Excellent" dan "Acceptable". Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa Spotify mudah digunakan dan memenuhi ekspektasi pengguna, sehingga mampu mempertahankan loyalitas dan bersaing dengan platform streaming musik lain.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis usability website LMS PoltekSSN menggunakan metode System Usability Scale (SUS) dalam konteks Interaksi Manusia Komputer (IMK). Dengan melibatkan 30 Taruna dari program studi Rekayasa Kriptografi, penelitian ini mengevaluasi karakteristik responden dan hasil perhitungan skor SUS untuk menilai tingkat usabilitas sistem. Metode penelitian yang digunakan melibatkan pengguna dalam memberikan penilaian subjektif terhadap website LMS PoltekSSN. Hasil analisis mencakup efisiensi, memorabilitas, tingkat kesalahan, dan kepuasan pengguna dalam menggunakan platform pembelajaran online tersebut. Dengan pendekatan metode SUS, penelitian ini memberikan wawasan yang mendalam terhadap pengalaman pengguna dan efektivitas sistem. Hasil analisis menunjukkan skor SUS sebesar 63,5, yang mengindikasikan tingkat usabilitas yang dapat diterima namun masih memiliki ruang untuk peningkatan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini memberikan dasar yang kuat untuk pengembangan lebih lanjut guna meningkatkan kualitas layanan pendidikan online di Politeknik Siber dan Sandi Negara. Diharapkan temuan ini dapat memberikan kontribusi positif dalam meningkatkan kepuasan pengguna dan efisiensi sistem LMS PoltekSSN.

Applikationen ger lärarna möjlighet till ett stödsystem med olika användningsområde som närvarokontroll, anmärkningsmöjligheter om förseningar och stök under lektionstid, verktyg för att anteckna elevarbete och motivera betyg direkt på plats. Stor vikt har lagts på att göra applikationen lättanvänd och användarvänlig och därför har tester med användare varit en stor del under utvecklingen.

Abstract:
This paper describes the process of evaluating an audience engagement tool developed by a company called Stagecast. It is evaluated using the system usability scale, which is a common and simple way of measuring the usability of an application. The process starts with developing a feedback moment for the application that includes questions from the system usability scale. The application is then first tested in a laboratory setting with the feedback moment launched after an event, and second, it is tested in a real live event. The results in this paper indicate that the overall satisfaction with the Stagecast application was average, based on scoring of previous usability tests, with a score of 65.96 for the SMASK live event, though the participation in the feedback moment was limited.<br>Den här rapporten beskriver processen för utvärderandet av en produkt för att engagera publiken under live event som utvecklats av företaget Stagecast. Produkten är utvärderad med hjälp av system usability scale (SUS), vilket är ett vanligt och simpelt sätt att mäta användarvänlighet för applikationer. Processen börjar med att utveckla en feedback moment för applikationen som innehåller frågor från system usability scale. Applikationen är sedan testad i en studio där feedbackmoment lanseras efter eventet. Steg nummer två är att lansera feedbackmoment efter ett live event. Resultaten i den här rapporten indikerar att generella tillfredsställelsen med Stagecast applikationen var medel, baserat på en sammanställning av tidigare undersökningar med SUS. Poängen blev 65.96 för SMASK eventet, men deltagandet i feedbackmoment var begränsat.

Denna studie har till syfte att reda ut hur de olika MDI-begreppen användbarhet och användarupplevelse relaterar till varandra, samt hur detta relaterar till datainsamlingsmetoden System Usability Scale, eller SUS. SUS mäter användarens uppfattning av en produkts användbarhet, vilket innebär att den har kopplingar till både användbarhet och användarupplevelse och därmed skulle kunna placeras i ”gränslandet” mellan dessa. Arbetet utreder användbarhet och användarupplevelse som två begrepp var för sig, för att sedan undersöka hur de förhåller sig till varandra och avslutningsvis till SUS. Detta undersöks genom innehållsanalyser av litteratur samt kortsorteringar för att inkludera praktikers perspektiv på ämnet och därmed få en bredare bild av hur det verkligen är. Resultatet visar på en relation mellan användbarhet och användarupplevelse, där båda till stor del påverkar varandra vid människa-datorinteraktion. Detta innebar även en tydlig koppling i hur SUS förhåller sig till detta. Studiens resultat har använts till att ta reda på hur SUS går att modifiera för att rikta sig mot endast användbarhet eller endast användarupplevelse med hjälp av litteraturen om de båda begreppen.

Passwords continue to dominate the authentication landscape in spite of numerous proposals to replace them. Even though usability is a key factor in replacing passwords, very few alternatives have been subjected to formal usability studies and even fewer have been analyzed using a standard metric. We report the results of four within-subjects usability studies for seven web authentication systems. These systems span federated, smartphone, paper tokens, and email-based approaches. Our results indicate that participants prefer single sign-on systems. We utilize the Systems Usability Scale (SUS) as a standard metric for empirical analysis and find that it produces reliable, replicable results. SUS proves to be an accurate measure of baseline usability and we recommend that going forward all new authentication proposals be required to meet a minimum SUS score before being accepted by the security community. Our usability studies also gather insightful information from participants' qualitative responses: we find that transparency increases usability but also leads to confusion and a lack of trust, participants prefer single sign-on but wish to augment it with site-specific low-entropy passwords, and participants are intrigued by biometrics and phone-based authentication.

Abstract:
The relationship between the perceived usability of a beautiful interface and of an ugly interface is analyzed in this study. This study correlates the visual aesthetics of the website with perceived usability. This research is performed to know the significance of visual aesthetics on perceived usability. A website is designed with two interfaces. One interface is designed by following design guidelines with respect to usability and the other interface is designed without following guidelines. To measure the aesthetic value of these website interfaces, visual aspect questionnaire is used in classical aesthetic sense. After drawing a conclusion on aesthetic values i.e. beautiful interface and of an ugly interface, a survey performed using System Usability Scale (SUS scale) to measure the perceived usability of the beautiful interface and an ugly interface of the website. From the results we found that perceived usability of the beautiful interface is significantly higher than the ugly interface. System Usability Scale turns out sensitive to measure the beauty of the website. Results also show that the design principles have some overlapping with the visual aesthetic of the website.

Prestandan i dagens mobiltelefoner har ökat på senare tid. Därmed har det blivit aktuellt med förstärkt verklighet i mobilapplikationer. Det här arbetet har undersökt hur förstärkt verklighet används i mobilapplikationer för att framhäva en plats. Genom att använda förstärkt verklighet blir det möjligt att tillföra information till den verkliga platsen. I syfte att applicera förstärkt verklighet har vi utvecklat Lara. Lara är en prototyp av ett spel i form av en virtuell skattjakt som utspelar sig på Campus Valla i Linköping. Den evolutionära prototypen har testats av fyra personer som efter testet svarat på frågor angående användbarheten. Resultatet från testerna visade att användbarheten var god. Testerna visade även att det finns intresse att utöka Lara med både server och editor. Arbetet visade att presentationen av förstärkt verklighet har stor betydelse för hur påtaglig upplevelsen blir.<br>The performance of mobile phones have increased recently. Thus, it has become relevant with augmented reality in mobile applications. This work has examined how augmented reality is used in mobile applications to focus on a location. By using augmented reality you will be able to add information to a place. In order to apply augmented reality, we have developed Lara. Lara is a prototype of a game in the form of a virtual treasure hunt that takes place at Campus Valla in Linköping.The evolutionary prototype has been tested by four people who afterwards answered questions about usability. Results of the tests showed that the usability was good. The tests also showed that there is interest to expand Lara with both server and editor. The work showed that the presentation of augmented reality have significant impact on how real the experience becomes.

Abstract:
This study explored how the UI of booking sunbeds could be designed to be efficient and effective while being satisfactory to use for novice admin users of the system. Personas were created through a workshop that together with visual heuristics helped drive the design of an initial paper prototype that was evaluated with users. Iterating the design of the paper prototype, a hi-fi prototype was created using Adobe XD. The hi-fi prototype was evaluated using a task-based usability test with seven participants who provided quantitative data of time spent per task and number of clicks required, and qualitative data through a SUS questionnaire along with semi-structured interviews. The prototype was effective and efficient while scoring a high 90 points on the SUS scale. Qualitative data from the participants indicated that the inclusion of transitions and transformation in the UI helped create a playful experience and a system that was perceived to be easy to learn and use. The results and data of evaluating the prototype can help future designers of systems account for transitions and transformations earlier in the design process that could improve the overall usability for novice users in general.<br>Den här studien utforskade hur ett gränssnitt för ett bokningssystem kunde designas för att vara effektivt och ändamålsenligt samtidigt som användargruppen av administrativa förstagångsanvändare uppfattar systemet som tillfredsställande. En workshop hölls för att skapa personas, vilket tillsammans med visuella heuristiker drev designen av en första pappersprototyp som utvärderades med användare. Med feedback från pappersprototypen skapades en digitalt interaktiv prototyp som utvärderades baserat på kvantitativa data från hur användare klarade av att utföra uppgifter, samt kvalitativa data från semistrukturerade intervjuer och användbarhetsenkäten SUS (System Usability Scale). Prototypen var effektiv och ändamålsenlig och fick 90 poäng enligt SUS-skalan. Den kvalitativa data indikerade att inkluderingen av övergångar och transformeringar i gränssnittet skapade en lekfull upplevelse och gjorde att systemet ansågs vara enkelt att använda. Abstract:
This Master’s Thesis aimed to assess and propose improvements for initial learnability in Sectra AB’s Picture Archiving Communication System (PACS) by integrating usability engineering and agile software development. Assessing initial learnability and re-designing complex systems is difficult as they have a high skill cap and take longer time to learn in comparison to simpler ones. Further, companies that use agile methodologies often focus on completing small items which might hide the overarching vision of a product that can lead to usability problems. While there are several methods for assessing usability, no research has specifically focused on assessing initial learnability in complex systems. This study however investigates how this may be achieved by combining current methodologies for measuring learnability with usability engineering and agile software development. Initial learnability issues and needs were assessed after evaluating Sectra PACS using 5 participants and analysed using impact mapping as well as conducting a focus group within the organisation that owns the product.

Oggigiorno il machine learning è parte integrante della quotidianità, oltre ad essere impiegato anche in molti altri campi come in medicina e in politica. Questa crescente permeazione del machine learning in aree differenti da quella informatica rende necessario modificare l’approccio alla materia per permettere anche a chi non ha una formazione specifica di mettere in campo tecniche di machine learning per riuscire a dare un’interpretazione più completa ai dati a disposizione. Nel corso degli anni sono state percorse strade differenti nel tentativo di rendere il machine learning più accessibile, dalla semplificazione degli algoritmi all’utilizzo di interfacce grafiche interattive. Quest’ultima modalità è attualmente la più apprezzata e più utilizzata, ma non è priva di insidie. In questo volume di tesi vengono esaminate tre piattaforme che utilizzano questa metodologia (Weka, KNIME e Orange) valutandone usabilità e user engagement per rilevare punti di forza e criticità.

Abstract To successfully implement a Learning Analytics Dashboard (LAD), the perceived usability by its users’ needs to be assessed at different stages of development. This study examines how the demographic background of students in maritime education and training, their academic experiences, and perception toward artificial intelligence (AI), data security etc. influences the perceived usability of a LAD prototype. Two LAD visualizations under development have been shared with two groups of potential users: (1) line graphs based on desktop simulator log data, and (2) heat maps based on eye-tracking data. A follow up survey was conducted incorporating the System Usability Scale (SUS) and focusing on related qualitative factors. A total of 63 useable responses were analysed using machine learning (ML). The findings reveal that users who were exposed to line graphs have a higher perceived usability than those exposed to eye-tracking heat maps. Further, those with a higher degree of trust in Artificial Intelligence (AI) also have a higher perceived system usability.

AbstractThe global burden of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) is a worldwide public health problem. In 2019, 18.6 million people died from CVD, representing a 17.1% increase compared to 2010. Also, some individuals who experience a cardiovascular event will require some form of cardiovascular procedure, such as a pacemaker or implantable cardioverter-defibrillator insertion, aneurysm repair, or heart valve replacement. Mobile health (mHealth) is a valuable tool for supporting individuals with CVD in self-management, providing medical recommendations, virtual consultations, reminders, and disease monitoring notifications. The main objective of this research was to enhance postoperative care for cardiac procedures. To achieve this, the research involved the development of a new mHealth application and the subsequent evaluation of its usability. The study constituted technological and usability research by using Design Science Research Methodology (DSRM). The design of the mobile application followed the principles of Persuasive Systems Design (PSD) model, which encompass a clear definition of the main task, user interaction through dialogue, system credibility, and social support, aiming to help change user behavior. The sample was non-probabilistic for convenience, and System Usability Scale (SUS) was applied to physicians and nurses as well as individuals in the information technology field. The sample comprised 18 participants, of whom 55.6% were female. The participants rated the application positively, with a median final SUS score of 95 (IQR 90–97.5). Finally, the mobile application presented high usability and user acceptance.

Zusammenfassung Dieser Artikel untersucht die Akzeptanz und Gebrauchstauglichkeit von digitalen Selbstbestimmten Identitäten (SSI) im Gesundheitswesen anhand von zwei Anwendungsfällen: der selbstsouveränen Gesundheitsdatenverwaltung und dem Identitätsmanagement im Knochenmarkspendenden-Register. Die Anwendungsfälle und ihre technische Umsetzung werden vorgestellt und anschließend durch eine Evaluation bewertet. Die Evaluation wurde mittels semistrukturierter Online-Interviews und des System Usability Scale (SUS) mit 13 Teilnehmer*innen im Alter von 20 bis 75 Jahren durchgeführt. Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass SSI-Lösungen überwiegend positiv wahrgenommen werden, da sie eine erhöhte Kontrolle über persönliche Daten ermöglichen und als Erleichterung im Alltag betrachtet werden. Die Hauptherausforderungen liegen im Vertrauen gegenüber privaten Anbietern und der unterschiedlichen Akzeptanz bei verschiedenen Bevölkerungsgruppen. Der Artikel schließt mit Handlungsempfehlungen zur Erhöhung der Akzeptanz und der Bedeutung von SSI für die zukünftige Digitalisierung des Gesundheitswesens.
