Abstract:
This paper elaborates upon the status of the Theology of the Body (TOB) among the philosoph- ical and theological disciplines. The TOB is a relevant part of ecclesiastical reflection due to the modern cultural context. The genesis of the TOB is deeply rooted in social, political and econo- mic development of the Western civilization after the Enlightenment and Positivism of the 19th c. The TOB is a part of theology which is a valid and necessary part of the human knowledge. The justification for the TOB comes from its subject matter, which is the human body. The human body transcends physical reality through its actions and points towards the invisible realm of the soul and morality. The TOB needs to be recognized as one of the ontological disciplines rather than a deontological one, only. The TOB can be categorized as a part of fundamental theology within systematic theology.

Seu desenvolvimento está marcado pelas influências das teologias européias, das primeiras obras da própria TdL e da abertura eclesial ao mundo, proporcionada pelo Vaticano II. Embora consolidada, esta teologia foi questionada pelo magistério eclesiástico devido à utilização do marxismo no interior de seu complexo teórico. Mas, sua consistência é a de ser uma teologia desenvolvida em função da irrupção do Reino de Deus na história, a partir da vida dos pobres deste mundo.Abstract: The Theology of Liberation (TL), as its history has unfolded, has made itself into a systematic Theology which places itself in the assemblage of other Theologies, having a method of relation to other Sciences, developing the genitive of the poor and assuming a universal character rooted in the place ofthe weak of history. Its development is marked by the influences of European Theologies, by the first works of TL itself and the ecclesial opening up to the world, given through Vatican II. Though Consolidated, th is Theology was questioned by the ecclesiastical magisterium due to its use of Marxism at the core of its theoretical complex. But its consistency is in its being a Theology developed in function of the outburst of the Kingdom of God in history, starting offfrom the life of the poor ofthis world.

Abstract:
Regardless of the solutions to the problem posed in this way, at least one is beyond discussion: in the practical dimension of systematic reflection of faith, it is about knowledge. Besides, it is theology that is the most appropriate way to defend knowledge against one-sided and partial approaches. It is determined by two issues that constitute an interpretative key in solving the problem posed: sense and context, as well as – in this perspective – two dimensions: cognition and free will. Therefore, in order to define the nature and importance of theology as practical knowledge, the problem of utilitarianism in science as such must first be solved. The turning point here is the Marxist appreciation of revolutionary praxis, which gives philosophy a new and practical meaning. It posed a particular challenge to theology and the objective nature of truth as a fundamental question in science. Both the Bible and the Christian systematic reflection of faith developed over the centuries clearly show that faith in Almighty God has a practical character. This means that faith cannot be reduced to knowledge only, just as faith cannot give up the problem of truth. In this sense, theology as practical knowledge, that is, on the basis of faith, a specific spiritual attitude and the choices that flow from it, is a proper understanding of the necessary participation of human reason, revelation and life in this event. From a Christological perspective, the best definition of theology as practical knowledge are the words from John’s Gospel: “I am the way, the truth and the life” (Jn 14: 6). In such an approach, the practical dimension of reflection on faith is simply love – first as the perfect fulfillment of the Law (Rom 13:10), and then as caritas, that is, a gift that does not retreat from renunciation and suffering. This means the necessity in this problem of the revealed truth about the Holy Trinity, in which the relationships of giving and accepting in love are difficult to consider theoretically. Just as practical and theoretical knowledge should not be opposed, knowledge and wisdom should not be confronted or separated. For theology, as wisdom, not only knows, but also knows why it knows and what to do with what it knows; not only poses the question of how to live, but also answers them. In other words, the practical dimension of systematic reflection of faith is essential for theology to be not only debatable, but also kneeling and working.

Performing Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca is the fifth pillar of Islam, whereas these<br />five pillars of Islam are believed by all Muslims in the world as the foundation<br />of Islam. Hajj is a must for any Muslim who has all the abilities, in term of<br />financial, physical, as well as psychological, to perform it, This paper is a<br />report of a research on various aspects accompanying the accomplishment of<br />the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca by the pilgrims. Those aspects are the spiritualteologic,<br />the psychological, the sociological, and the economic. The objects<br />of the research were the city of Salatiga, the District of Semarang, and the<br />District of Magelang. The spiritual-teologic aspect is used to explain the level<br />of religiousity of a Muslim performing the Hajj while the psychological aspect<br />is related to the psycho-condition, mental, and desires experienced or possessed<br />by the pilgrims. The sociological aspect is the social faithfulness, the<br />social harmony supported by those pilgrims. Last but not least, the economic<br />aspect is the motive of the pilgrims to increase their prosperity or their economic<br />power. By implementing the descriptive-qualitative approach, this research<br />aimed at providing objective, accurate, and systematic depictions of<br />those issues related with the objects of the research. For the data collection,<br />the researcher used various methods such as observation, interview, and documentation.<br />The data was then analyzed through the descriptive qualitativequantitative<br />approach. The result shows that the spiritual-teologic, the psychological, the sociological, as well as the economic aspects are all present in<br />the accomplishment of the Hajj, with the spiritual-teologic and the psychological<br />aspects play the most dominant roles. The quantitative analysis shows<br />that there is a significant influence of the spiritual-teologic and the psychological<br />aspects toward the completion of the Hajj of the pilgrims. It is proven<br />with the statistical calculation that the degree of significant is 1% and 5%<br />that shows that the r sum is bigger than the r table or that 0,599&gt; 0,345&gt;<br />0,266. Meanwhile, the descriptive analysis of the data shows that the spiritual-<br />teologic and the psychological aspects are the more dominant aspects<br />compared to the sociological, as well as the economic aspects.<br />Haji merupakan rukun Islam yang ke lima, sementara rukun Islam dijadikan<br />sebagai pondasi dasar agama oleh seluruh umat Islam di dunia. Setiap muslim<br />yang telah mampu, hukumnya wajib menunaikan ibadah haji. Baik mampu<br />secara financial maupun mampu secara fisik ataupun psikis. Tulisan ini<br />merupakan hasil penelitian yang menfokluskan beberapa aspek yang menyertai<br />jama’ah haji. Aspek-aspek itu meliputi: aspek teologis-spiritual, aspek psikologis,<br />aspek sosiologis dan yang terakhir aspek ekonomis dengan mengambil objek<br />penelitian di Kota Salatiga, Kab. Semarang dan Kab. magelang. Aspek teologisspiritual<br />adalah aspek yang menjelaskan mengenai tingkat religiusitas seseorang<br />secara individu ketika melaksanakan ibadah haji, sedangkan aspek psikologis<br />yaitu, aspek yang berhubungan dengan psikis, mental, keinginan-keinginan<br />dialami yang dirasakan oleh jama’ah haji. Selanjutnya aspek sosiologis,<br />merupakan kesalehan sosial, hubungan kemasyarakatan yang dilakukan oleh<br />jama’ah haji. Dan yang terakhir aspek ekonomis, yaitu motif jama’ah dalam<br />melakukan ibadah haji adakah faktor atau keinginan meningkatkan ekonomi.<br />Dengan menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif-kuantitatif penelitian ini bertujuan<br />untuk mendapatkan gambaran yang objektif, akurat dan sistematis, mengenai<br />masalah-masalah yang ada di objek penelitian. Untuk mengumpulkan data<br />digunakan beberapa metode yaitu, observasi, interview dan dokumentasi.<br />Kemudian data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan<br />deskriptif kualitatif-kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aspek<br />teologis-spiritual, aspek psikologis, aspek sosiologis dan aspek ekonomis<br />menyertai para jamaah haji terutama aspek spiritual dan psikologis. Dari analisis<br />secara kuantitatif menunjukkan adanya pengaruh signifikan aspek teologis-spiritual<br />dan aspek psikologis terhadap jama’ah haji. Hal itu dibuktikan dengan hasil perhitungan statistik pada taraf signifikansi 1% dan 5% menunjukkan<br />bahwa r hitung lebih besar dari r tabel yaitu: 0,599&gt; 0,345&gt; 0,266. Sedangkan<br />analisis deskriptif menghasilkan bahwa aspek teologis-spiritual dan aspek<br />psikologis adalah aspek yang lebih menonjol jika dibandingkan dengan aspek<br />aspek-aspek lainnya, dibanding aspek sosiologis dan aspek ekonomis.

Abstract:
Human needs is not part of the traditional themes of systematic theology or even of theological anthropology. This article argues that human needs is a core concept in systematic theology even though it has not been an explicit theme of systematic theology. The concept of human needs is essentially related to the content of systematic theology. Any articulation of the doctrine of creation, covenant or salvation is underpinned by a view of what human needs are. This article shows that the question of human needs is normally related to systematic theology by referring to the task of systematic theology and the different modes of discourse found in which systematic theology gives expression to this task. This article also suggest a method by which an implicit concept of human needs may be discovered and engaged critically. This is demonstrated by analysis of two designs of theological anthropology: Karl Barth’ s second part of the third volume of his Church Dogmatics and the fundamental-theological anthropology of Wolfhart Pannenberg.

(2) The guide to improving the quality of spirituality based on the Bible is that teachers should give comprehensive attention so that students can assess and track the extent of their spiritual development. (3) By giving systematic instruction to the students alone they can understand this life which must change constantly in this life for the glory of His name. Abstrak: Dalam tulisan ini penulis berusaha mencermati karya-karya dari almarhum Pater Robertus Hardawiryana, SJ (1926-2009), salah satu teolog Indonesia yang terkemuka segera seusai Konsili Vatikan II. Berdasarkan karya-karya beliau terakhir yang sudah diterbitkan, yakni Pentalogi, tetapi juga memanfaatkan beberapa manuskrip yang belum diterbitkan, penulis memusatkan diri pada pandangan Hardawiryana tentang metode berteologi sejauh tercermin dalam tulisan-tulisannya. Pada umumnya, pandangan Hardawiryana tentang metode bisa dilihat pada awal karangan-karangannya, di mana tampak bahwa dia sangat sadar akan pentingnya metode dalam berteologi. Dalam hal ini Hardawiryana sejalan dengan arah-arah baru yang dibuka oleh Federasi Konferensi-konferensi Uskup Asia dalam pelbagai dokumennya. Meskipun demikian, sulit diharapkan suatu paparan teoretis yang menyeluruh dan sistematis tentang metode berteologi dari teolog ini, mengingat bahwa minat utamanya lebih tertuju pada pengupayaan suatu arah pastoral yang kuat pada tulisan-tulisan teologi, dan sebaliknya juga, pada pemberian dasar teologis yang kuat pada kebijakan-kebijakan pastoral. Selain itu, penulis juga memandang perlu untuk menilik sejenak pembentukan intelektual Hardawiryana agar lebih menolong untuk memahami kecenderungan-kecenderungannya kelak dalam berteologi. Kata-kata Kunci: Teologi, metode berteologi, pembinaan teologi, orientasi pastoral, inkulturasi, FABC. Abstract: In this essay the author attempts to explore the works of the late Fr. Robert Hardawiryana, S.J., (1926-2009), one of prominent Indonesian theologians in the wake of the Second Vatican Council. Based on this theologian’s latest published works, the Pentalogi, but also making use of some yet unpublished manuscripts, the author focuses on Hardawiryana’s view of theological method as reflected in his writings. In most cases, his view on method can be seen from the introduction he provides at the beginning of his articles, as he is highly aware of the importance of method in doing theology. In this way he concurs with the new trends opened up by the Federation of Asian Bishops’ Conference in its various documents. However, one can hardly expect a thorough and systematic theoretical exposition on theological method from this theologian, as his main interest lies elsewhere, namely, to bring a truly responsible pastoral thrust to theological writings, and vice versa, to provide sound theological foundation to pastoral policies. The author also considers that a glimpse at his intellectual formation would be of considerable help to understand Hardawiryana’s future leanings in theology. The following article understands theology in the pragmen of the history of Islamic civilization by mapping the periodization of the systematic development of Islamic theology from time to time. The discussion of this paper is therefore carried out in a simplistic picture of the history of Islamic theology within the limits of the period, which was carried out to avoid a long historical discussion. This paper then maps the period of development of Islamic theology in three major periods, namely: the classical period, the medieval period, and the modern period. All periods will be systematically elaborated in a systematic and regular nature of historical decisions. This work should be judged by prioritizing the discussion of Islamic theology in the perspective of historical thought which is full of social, political and cultural implications. Tulisan berikut memahami teologi dalam pragmen sejarah peradaban Islam dengan memetakan periodesasi perkembangan sistematis teologi Islam dari masa ke masa. Pembahasan tulisan ini karenanya dilakukan dalam gambaran simplistis terhadap sejarah teologi Islam dalam batasan periode, yang dilakukan untuk menghindari pembahasan sejarah yang panjang. Tulisan ini selanjutnya memetakan periodesasi perkembangan teologi Islam dalam tiga periode besar, yaitu: periode klasik, periode abad pertengahan, dan periode modern. Semua periode akan dijabarkan secara sistematis dalam kekhasan penutusan sejarah yang bersifat sistematis dan teratur. Karya ini kiranya patut ditilik dengan mengedepankan bahasan teologi Islam dalam perspektif pemikiran sejarah yang sarat dengan iplikasi sosial, politik dan budaya.

A teologia é uma atividade constitutivamente social; tem um caráter ou uma dimensão social que a caracteriza e a mensura sob certo aspecto. Não apenas trata de questões sociais ou pode servir a determinados interesses sociais, mas é, enquanto atividade estritamente intelectiva, uma atividade social. E essa, precisamente, é a problemática com a qual nos confrontamos neste artigo. Nossa pretensão é mostrar em que sentido toda teologia é social. Trata-se, portanto, de explicitar e formular de modo sistemático esse caráter ou essa dimensão social da teologia. Para isto, começaremos tratando da dimensão social da vida humana e do caráter social da intelecção humana para, finalmente, explicitar e formular o caráter social da teologia. Ele tem a ver com seu âmbito de realidade, com sua finalidade ou seu caráter interessado, com sua eclesialidade, com suas mediações teórico-conceituais e com seu caráter conflitivo.ABSTRACT: Theology is a constituently social activity; it has a character or a social dimension that characterizes it and measures it under a certain aspect. It not only deals with social matters or being able to serve definitive social interests, but it is, while being strict intellective activity, a social activity. And this, precisely, is the problem which we confront in this article. Our aim is to show in which sense all theology is social. This article endeavors, therefore, to explain and formulate in a systematic way this character or this social dimension of theology. ABSTRACT The notion that pastoral theology is less intellectual than biblical, systematic and historical theology is also considered only as applied theology makes theology often overlooked. Efforts to make pastoral theology a branch of theology parallel to each other, require a long struggle by European and American pastoral theologians. The long struggle that produced positive results also felt its impact in the development of pastoral theology in Indonesia. However, the concept of pastoral theology developed in the Western world and then brought to Indonesia influenced the concept of Indonesian pastoral theology. The style and color of Western pastoral theology is still very thick, because it needs to be contextualized according to the conditions of Indonesian society. Western pastoral theology is thick with its individualism, while the Indonesian context is very diverse. For Indonesia with the context of its plural society with all its unique contexts and problems, pastoral theology is a theological reflection on and in the context of pastoral care. The correlative theology method is seen as a theological method that is relevant to the Indonesian context.

The theological dimension of the name of Jesus is not only a domain of biblical teaching, pa- trology, theology of spirituality or theology of liturgy. It is also a eld for re ection of systematic theology. This study starts with a brief theological analysis of the name of Jesus and states that this is a summary of His earthy mission which is a saving mission to man and the world. Karl Rah- ner’s contribution to contemporary christological re ection is hard to overestimate. His so-called transcendental christology is an attempt to include anthropology into the structure of theology as its integral component. In contrast, narrative theology deals with modern man as the addressee of the Christian message about salvation. It develops particular ways of access by a man, who is not a believer, to the Person and work of Jesus of Nazareth as the true and living Son of God.

Its program based on the conviction that the praxis lived by the faith community n Jesus Christ from the very beginning is the access to the specific manifestation of God which constitute the object of the Christian theological studies. This point of departure is bipolar and it takes on the two main theological settings: Jesus Christ event with its preparation with the people of Israel and its continuation in the life of the Church (historical-systematic theology); and Christian community’s life in the midst of the current challenges (Christian praxis). This double dimensions guide the studies from the beginning through the description of the “Christian Fact” which provides the program’s own development. The concept that guides the graduation (License and Doctorate) is the same. On this basis, he confronts the systematic theological exposition of incarnation with the question of God in modern times. Balthasar represents the centre of his theological principle in the "drama of God". This drama became visible to all men when Christ, Son of God, died for the salvation of the world. That is an act of solidarity and became for Balthasar the central concept of soteriology. Salvation by faith is a theological topic that is still being discussed and debated among theologians. The classical debate between Calvinism and Arminianism is still developing from both the point of view of dogmatics and systematic theology. Because the differences that exist make the understanding of salvation also different. In the discussion about salvation often the discussion does not go well, because each stick to the concept of salvation based on dogma. In understanding the systematic theology related to salvation is also influenced by dogma and ignores elements of biblical theology, the concept of salvation by faith written by Paul needs to be reexamined, considering that Paul's Theology is very sharp in reviewing the Theology of Salvation by Faith in Romans. It is very interesting that the line of thought in Romans which can be examined especially regarding salvation by faith. So seeking the truth about salvation by faith in Rome is not a regression in theology. In fact, examining Romans is a very basic step in seeking the truth about salvation by faith. The problem in this research is to find an understanding of salvation by faith based on Romans and what dimensions are in Romans that become the flow of thinking in discussing salvation by faith. The conclusion of this research. The author finds that Paul is very consistent in making God's righteousness the main concept in understanding salvation by faith. And consistency makes God's righteousness the center of the development of salvation by faith into something that is always new.Keselamatan oleh iman adalah merupakan topik teologi yang masih terus dibicarakan dan diperdebatkan di kalangan para teolog. Perdebatan klasik antara Calvinisme dan Arminianisme masih terus berkembang baik dari sudut dogmatika dan juga Teologi Sistimatika. Karena perbedaan yang ada membuat pemahaman tentang keselamatan juga berbeda. Dalam diskusi tentang keselamatan seringkali diskusi menjadi tidak berjalan dengan baik, karena masing-masing bertahan dengan konsep keselamatan yang berdasarkan dogma. Dalam memahami Teologi Sistimatika yang berkaitan dengan keselamatan juga dipengaruhi oleh dogma dan mengabaikan unsur Teologi biblika, Konsep Keselamatan Oleh Iman yang ditulis oleh Paulus perlu dikaji kembali, mengingat Teologi Paulus sangat tajam sekali dalam mengulas Teologi Keselamatan Oleh Iman dalam Surat Roma. Sangat menarik sekali alur berpikir dalam Surat Roma yang dapat diteliti khususnya mengenai keselamatan oleh iman. Sehingga mencari kebenaran tentang keselamatan oleh iman dalam Roma bukanlah sebuah kemunduran di dalam berteologi. Justru meneliti surat Roma adalah langkah yang sangat mendasar dalam mencari kebenaran tentang keselamatan oleh iman. Masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mencari pengertian mengenai keselamatan oleh iman berdasarkan Surat Roma dan dimensi apa saja yang ada dalam surat Roma yang menjadi alur berpikir dalam membahas keselamatan oleh iman. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini Penulis menemukan bahwa Paulus sangat konsisten untuk menjadikan kebenaran Allah menjadi konsep utama dalam memahami keselamatan oleh iman.Dan konsistensi menjadikan kebenaran Alllah menjadi pusat dari pengembangan keselamatan oleh iman menjadi sesuatu yang selalu baru.

AbstractThe impetus of this article is the response of the New Testament scholar Pieter Botha to a book entitled Bondgenoot en beeld (1991) written by the Systematic theologian Adrio König. König's reaction to Botha's discussion and critique published in one of the issues of Theologia Evangelica (1993) reveals a lack of comprehension of the issues at stake. Botha's main critique is that König does not take the Enlightenment seriously. This article commences with a short historical overview of three main paradigm switches in Biblical Studies: the Reformation, the historical-critical approach and the paradigm switch that came along with the birth of modern literary criticism. It then attempts to identify the paradigms within which Botha and König work and in the last instance discusses the main reason why they are at loggerheads. The conclusion drawn is that only theologians who work within the same paradigm can communicate meaningfully.

Nummeret her indeholder tre artikler, der alle på forskellig vis viser eller diskuterer inkarnationens spor og de deri indeholdte paradokser eller dobbeltheder. I artiklen “Korsets gåde – en undersøgelse af offerbegrebets filosofiske og teologiske implikationer” diskuterer Annette Hjort Knudsen den tese, som den norske teolog Asle Eikrem er kommet med i sin bog God as Sacrifical Love. Ifølge sidstnævnte er korset ikke blot en unødvendig, men også en beklagelig del af Kristusbegivenheden, der forstyrrer billedet af Gud som kærlighed. Kristusbegivenheden forstås bedre ud fra inkarnation og opstandelse alene. Målet for artiklen er at undersøge, hvorvidt det modsatte lader sig hævde over for Eikrems indvendinger: at korsdøden er nødvendig for Jesu forsonergerning. Frem for at forstå korset som inkonsistent i forhold til forståelsen af Gud som kærlighed vil Hjort Knudsen forsvare det synspunkt, at korset netop er en konsekvens af forståelsen af Gud som kærlighed. Det gør hun dels ud fra en bestemmelse af den systematiske teologis opgave, der er inspireret af Sarah Cockley, og som vil fastholde de kristne symbolers paradoksale karakter og den systematiske fremstillings foreløbighed, dels ud fra en grundlæggende analyse af offerbegrebets dimensioner. Ud fra en forståelse af frelsen som konkret, frem for abstrakt, konkluderer Hjort Knudsen, at korsets nødvendighed er uløseligt forbundet med syndens uomgængelighed på en måde, der ikke retfærdiggør undertrykkelse, som hævdet af Eikrem. Margrethe Kamille Birkler fremstiller i artiklen “Paul Tillich: Samarbejdet mellem menneskets ontologiske ophav og eksistentielle vilkår” Tillichs teologiske antropologi bl.a. ud fra en række mindre kendte skrifter fortrinsvis fundet i Hollis-arkivet på Harvard. Artiklen tager udgangspunkt i Tillichs velkendte sondring mellem menneskets essens og eksistens. Alt teologisk arbejder beror på et samarbejde mellem menneskets ontologiske ophav og menneskets eksistentielle situation. Derfor er teologien bundet til en dobbelt, korrelativ opgave. Dens mål er at give svar på menneskets søgen efter dets ontologiske grund, men 82 Bo Kristian Holm må samtidig bygge på en eksistentialistisk analyse af menneskets konkrete situation. Teologien må arbejde både vertikalt og horisontalt, fordi altid i verden er præget af en uomgængelig dobbelthed, der også går igen i Tillichs protestantiske forståelse af mennesket, der som alt andet levende er præget af en dobbelthed af godt og ondt, sandt og falsk. Ved at læse Tillich ud fra mindre kendte værker uddyber Birkler med sin artikel forståelsen af grundbegreber i Tillichs teologi og skriver sig samtidigt ind i en stigende international interesse i Tillich. Nummerets sidste artikel “Athanasios af Alexandrias 39. Påskebrev fra påsken 367” af Nils Arne Pedersen og Lasse Løvlund Toft præsenterer den første samlede danske oversættelse af det vigtige og berømte 39. påskebrev skrevet af oldkirkens store inkarnationsteolog, Athanasios. Brevet spiller en stor rolle, fordi det indeholder den første kendte liste over de 27 skrifter, som siden kanoniseres som Ny Testamente. Selve listen har været kendt længe, men resten af det originale græske brev er gået tabt. Store dele af brevet findes dog i sahidisk koptiske versioner, der dog ikke er udgivet samlet. Nærværende oversættelse baserer sig netop på en sammenligning og sammenstilling af de tilgængelige kilder på koptisk, der sammenlignes med tilsvarende syriske paralleller. Det fulde brev viser, hvordan diskussionen af de kanoniske skrifters antal fandt sted i en større strid med arianere og manikærere og muligvis også montanister. Der er med stor glæde, at Dansk Teologisk Tidsskrift kan bidrage med at gøre denne ellers svært tilgængelige, men centrale, kilde kendt. Começa com uma releitura da história dessas disciplinas na academia, na qual são apresentadas as dificuldades de cada uma: as ciências das religiões, provenientes da história das religiões e com falta de clareza quanto a seu método e a seu objeto, e a teologia, sobretudo a moderna, também com problemas de método e de objeto, já que somente suas disciplinas históricas são consideradas universitárias e não as sistemáticas. Após essa releitura, passa-se a uma interrogação mais aprofundada sobre o que diferencia as duas disciplinas nas sociedades pluralistas atuais, propondo, numa última parte, algumas modificações em ambas para uma fecundação mútua num mundo onde o campo religioso parece demandar uma inteligência mais apurada, que não pode ser dada apenas por uma abordagem das ciências das religiões e tampouco pela teologia.ABSTRACT: The text reexamines and deepens the relation between theology and sciences of the religions in the present time, having as starting point the European situation, and more specifically Switzerland, where the author, a reformed theologian, teaches. It starts with a rereading of the history of these disciplines in the academic sphere, in which the difficulties of each one are presented: sciences of the religions, proceeding from history of the religions and with a lack of clarity in terms of its method and its object, and theology, overall modern theology, also with object and method problems, since its only historical disciplines are considered university and not systematic. After this rereading, the text advances with a deeper interrogation on what differentiates the two disciplines in the current pluralistic societies, proposing, in a last part, some modifications in both for a mutual enrichment in a world where the religious field seems to demand a more refined intelligence, that can be given neither by just a treatment of sciences of the religions and nor by just a treatment of theology.

This paper is aimed to determine the appropriate Christian attitude towards the practice of belis (dowry) in Sumba Island. The biblical, anthropological, and sociological concepts of dowry are the conceptual framework for understanding and analyzing the concept of belis. Based on systematic reviews and asymmetric comparisons of the Sumbanese belis concepts and biblical concept of dowry, it is found that rejection of the practice of belis is unnecessary. Belis can be practiced by Sumbanese Christians with a critical attitude. The goal is the transformation of the belis culture. Transformation is achieved through several actions: doing belis principles that do not conflict with biblical principles; rejecting the principles that conflict with biblical principles; and avoiding the practices of belis which have been distorted by deviating motivations either from the biblical or the rights belis principles. The social sciences investigate the way people relate in society via various institutions and structures, which facilitate relationships in the economic, cultural and political spheres.The social sciences also investigate the way human beings relate to nature for two reasons, namely to defend themselves against the power of nature, and also to enable them to benefit from nature. Systematic theology studies the relationship between God and humanity in light of revelation and faith. "The peculiarity of Paul's eschatology," is an explanatory study of Paul's theological thought, specifically relating to the ideas or teachings of the end-time (eschatology). It is remembered that eschatology is one of the doctrines in systematic theology that has not yet been fulfilled so it often leads to debate and often becomes a neglected doctrine because of the difficulty or error in interpreting the teaching. in this connection, this study intends to provide clarification and affirmation that Paul's belief in the events of the end times contained in his eschatological discussion is a fact that will really happen. In addition, this study also intends to convey the uniqueness or uniqueness of the end-time doctrine from the perspective of the apostle Paul. To realize that understanding, the author conducts a study of several Bible verses and the views of the experts in approaching the passages of Paul's eschatology. From this approach, there is some understanding of the peculiarities of Paul's eschatology whose impure theological thought is derived from himself, but his thoughts have had a significant influence, among them his background as a genuine Jew, his background of life stained by Greek thought, and that is primarily the influence of Paul's own Christian experience. Hal tersebut mengingat bahwa eskatologi merupakah salah satu doktrin dalam teologi sistematika yang belum tergenapi sehingga seringkali menimbulkan perdebatan dan tidak jarang menjadi doktrin yang diabaikan karena kesulitan atau kekeliruan dalam menafsirkan ajaran tersebut. sehubungan dengan hal tersebut, maka penelitian ini bermaksud untuk memberikan klarifikasi dan afirmasi bahwa keyakinan Paulus akan peristiwa-peristiwa akhir zaman yang terdapat dalam pembahasan eskatologinya merupakan fakta yang benar-benar akan terjadi. Di samping itu, penelitian ini juga bermaksud untuk menyampaikan keunikan atau kekhasan doktrin akhir zaman tersebut dari perspektif rasul Paulus. Untuk mewujudkan pemahaman tersebut, maka penulis melaksanakan kajian terhadap beberapa ayat Alkitab dan pandangan para pakar dalam mengadakan pendekatan terhadap ayat-ayat eskatologi Paulus. Dari pendekatan tersebut, diperoleh beberapa pemahaman mengenai kekhasan daripada eskatologi Paulus yang pemikiran teologis yang tidak murni berasal dari dirinya sendiri, namun pemikirannya mendapat pengaruh yang cukup signifikan, di antaranya adalah latar belakangnya sebagai orang Yahudi asli, latar belakang kehidupannya yang diwarnai oleh pemikiran Yunani, dan yang terutama adalah pengaruh pengalaman kekristenan Paulus sendiri. É a insistência em mostrar que existe na vida humana um âmbito ou uma dimensão que envolve e dá acesso à realidade de Deus, enquanto fundamento último do real. E independentemente do modo como esse fundamento seja inteligido (Deus, pura facticidade, realidade-desconhecida) e da posição que se tome diante desse problema (teísmo, ateísmo, agnosticismo). Este artigo apresenta, de modo bastante condensado, mas sistemático, o primeiro aspecto da abordagem zubiriana do problema de Deus na vida humana, qual seja, a dimensão teologal do homem, a partir de onde ele poderá se enfrentar filosoficamente com a problemática da história das religiões, em particular, com o cristianismo. The journal passed through two phases. The first one begins with its foundation and goes until 1981, when the Jesuit Theological Faculty Cristo Rei of São Leopoldo (RS) moved to Belo Horizonte (MG). The editor’s note of the founding edition pointed out that the journal was committed to research, but that it was also to investigainclude articles written by students. In its second phase, the ideological lines were clearly defined as being in service to the Church committed with our poor and oppressed people.

Transformation is the key to the growth of the church and mission. Transformation is a positive change toward Christ that marks believers’ life, as indicated by Paul’s exhortation in Romans 12:2. The church refers to the people who believe in Christ so they are renewed by the power of the Holy Spirit. That transformation or renewal empowers the church to function as the light of the world, as a missional community through the power of the Holy Spirit. This article seeks to present the strong correlation between the spiritual transformation of the church by the power of the Holy Spirit with her function as a missional community. This article elaborates the meaning of transformation in the New Testament, the meaning of transformation from the perspective of systematic theology, and the strong correlation between spiritual transformation and the function of the church as a missional community. Abstrak Transformasi adalah kunci dari pertumbuhan gereja dan misi. Hal tersebut merupakan perubahan positif yang menjadi ciri kehidupan orang percaya kearah Kristus, sebagaimana nasehat Paulus dalam Kitab Roma 12:2. Gereja adalah orang-orang yang percaya kepada Kristus sehingga dibaharui oleh kuasa Roh Kudus. El objetivo del presente artículo fue identificar el aporte de las revistas científicas colombianas de teología y filosofía en la difusión de investigaciones relacionadas con los temas de corrupción, paz y reconciliación, por medio de un estudio bibliométrico centrado en indicadores de impacto con el propósito de generar reflexiones. El método se centró en un estudio cuantitativo no experimental, siguiendo el método de revisión sistemática. En Colombia, existen nueve revistas científicas en el área de teología y filosofía indexadas en Publindex; el 11,1 % está en categoría A2, el 22,2 % en B y el 66,7 % en C. En cuanto a la posición en SJR, el 22,2 % está en los cuartiles medios (Q2 y Q3), el 33,3 % en Q4 y el 44,4 % sin cuartil. Respecto a la difusión relacionada con los temas de corrupción, paz y reconciliación, el aporte es muy bajo: 3,4 % y 2,7 % respectivamente. La baja visibilidad de estas publicaciones plantea la necesidad de evaluar el cumplimiento de gestión editorial y calidad de contenido, que afectan la divulgación de los resultados de investigación, pero también se debe tener en cuenta las características y dinámicas propias de las publicaciones en humanidades.Palabras clave: corrupción, paz y reconciliación, factores de impacto, análisis de contenido, teología, filosofía. Abstract Hidayatut Thulab is one of the pesantren in Kediri, East Java, which publishes many books, especially the book of morality and interpretation. Achmad Asymuni and his son Achmad Yasin Asmuni as caretakers of the Hidayatut Thulab pesantren are among the ulamas and kiai in Kediri, who are very productive in their work. This article aims to analyze one of the books by Achmad Yasin Asymuni entitled Tafsir al-Fatihah, the book of interpretation of his work is usually called tafsir bimakna petuk. The analysis was carried out using the Islah Gusmian text analysis framework with regard to the technical aspects of writing and hermeneutic aspects. From this analysis it can be seen that in the technical aspect of writing this interpretation adopts coherent systematic, detailed presentation form with persuasive exposition language style and non-scientific reference sources. As for the hermeneutic aspect, this interpretation has a Sufic theological nuance. Artikel ini bertujuan menganalisa salah satu kitab karya kiai Achmad Yasin Asymuni yang berjudul Tafsir al-Fatihah, kitab tafsir karya beliau biasa disebut dengan tafsir bimakna petuk. Analisa dilakukan dengan menggunakan kerangka analisis teks Islah Gusmian dengan memperhatikan aspek teknis penulisan dan aspek hermeneutik. Dari analisa tersebut dapat diketahui bahwa pada aspek teknis penulisan tafsir ini menganut sistematika runtut, bentuk penyajian rinci dengan gaya bahasa eksposisi persuasif dan sumber rujukan non ilmiah. Adapun pada aspek hermeneutis, tafsir ini bernuansa teologis sufistik dengan metode tafsir riwa>yat. Selain itu, kitab tafsir al-Fatihah ini menggunakan makna gandul dengan aksara Jawa pegon dengan dibubuhkan lambang kedudukan kata dalam tata bahasa Arab di hampir seluruh kata-kata.

Este artigo responde pormenorizadamente às críticas feitas por G. Imaguire em sua resenha do livro indicado no título (= ES). Trata-se principalmente de nove temas respectivamente teses de caráter central para a concepção exposta no livro. O presente artigo analisa cada um destes temas, em parte corrigindo erros de apresentação e de interpretação e em todos os casos respondendo às objeções de Imaguire. Trata-se dos seguintes temas/teses: (1) Para esclarecer o estatuto das sentenças filosóficas, ES propõe uma teoria dos três operadores que explicitam o caráter de sentenças: são estes o operador teórico, o operador prático e o operador estético. O artigo esclarece o sentido exato desta teoria. (2) ES apresenta uma nova definição de saber/conhecimento em oposição direta à já famosa definição “knowledge is true justified belief” articulada por E. Gettier. (3) ES defende uma concepção de orientação ontológica das estruturas formais fundamentais (lógicas e matemáticas); estas são esclarecidas. (4) Em ES é exposta e defendida uma nova concepção de ontologia em perfeita conformidade com a semântica de uma linguagem filosófica transparente; esta ontologia exclui o conceito de “substância” e critica o uso do conceito de “objeto”. (5) ES expõe uma nova teoria semântico-ontológica da verdade que tem como consequência um relativismo moderado da verdade. (6) ES formula um argumento muito especial contra o fisicalismo; o artigo explica pormenorizadamente este argumento. (7) A concepção exposta em ES afirma que o cristianismo, em virtude do caráter racional e teórico da teologia que o explicita, constitui, em oposição a outras religiões, uma temática com prioridade de importância e atenção para o filósofo sistemático. Neste artigo esta tese é explicada e defendida contra interpretações erradas. (8) O oitavo tema é a grande questão posta pelo conceito de mundo no contexto das relações entre teorias filosóficas e teorias científicas. O artigo esclarece uma série de mal-entendidos a respeito deste grande tema. (9) Finalmente, com relação a um argumento-chave que ES apresenta para fundamentar a tese que, por razões sistemáticas, se deve admitir uma dimensão absolutamente necessária do Ser, o artigo demonstra que a resenha comete um muito grave erro de interpretação, baseando neste erro uma crítica infundada ao argumento. O artigo esclarece extensamente o argumento, suas pressuposições e suas consequências.Abstract: This article is a detailed answer to G. Imaguire’s criticisms of the book Structure and Being: A Theoretical Framework for a Systematic Philosophy (hence referred as ES). Imaguire focuses on nine topics that are central to the book. The present article analyses each one of these theses, sometimes correcting errors made and misrepresentations introduced by Imaguire, and in all cases, responding to Imaguire’s objections. The theses are the following: (1) In order to clarify the status of theoretical sentences occurring in philosophical works, ES presents a theory about the three operators that make explicit the statuses of three mutually irreducible kinds of sentence: the theoretical operator, the practical operator, and the aesthetic operator. (2) ES offers a new definition of knowledge in significant opposition to the now-famous definition formulated by E. Gettier, “knowledge is true justified belief.” (3) ES defends an ontologically oriented conception of the fundamental formal (logical and mathematical) structures. (4) In ES, a new ontology is propounded in strong conformity with the semantics of a transparent philosophical language. This ontology rejects the category of substance and criticizes the widely used concept of object. (5) ES presents a completely new semantico-ontological theory of truth. One of its consequences is a moderate relativism with respect to truth. (6) ES presents a unique argument against physicalism; this article elaborates on it. (7) ES considers the phenomenon of religion and states that, due to its rational and theoretical theology, Christian religion, in opposition to other religions, provides a uniquely promising resource for philosophical considerations. (8) ES extensively thematizes the concept of world in connection with the problem of the relationship between philosophy and science. (9) Finally, ES develops the main features of a theory of Being as such and as a whole. ES offers especially an important argument on behalf of the thesis that the universal dimension of Being must be conceived of as two-dimensional: as the dimension of absolutely necessary Being and the dimension of contingent beings. This article reconstructs the exact meaning of the argument and explains its presuppositions and consequences.

Abstract:
The article explores theological, normative and sexual construction as well as the power relation and its contesta- tion that contribute to the perpetuation of the hegemony of patriarchal discourse on early marriage. It also discloses the mechanism of knowledge power that operates in the discourse of the issue. The phenomenon of early marriage illustrates how knowledge is constructed, controlled and perpetuated through several mechanisms to be eventually systematic discursive practice. The discourse and practice of early marriage relate with a set of patriarchal knowl- edge constructed based on understanding of religious texts and legitimated theologically and culturally by related agencies. Knowledge on the sinful of free sex and the danger of woman’s body in the one side and in the other side marriage as part of worship is standardized as norm and social order (a norm that woman has to cover their body, get marriage early to be able to be protected) which operate in the system of power as the ruler and controller of the practice and the continuation of the power of the knowledge. A set of norms and orders including the banning, com- pulsory, stigmatization, and stereotype become strategic mechanism in strengthening the knowledge power on the normality of early marriage. Several religious and cultural practices become the locus to instill the norms and the knowledge on the early marriage as being a religiously legitimized sexual channel and prevention for unwanted preg- nancy outside marital institution. The series of the construction of knowledge and of sexuality on the body of woman, as well as on theologically unwanted pregnancy and woman’s age limit, is standardized in the form of norms and orders that function to strengthen the knowledge. Hence, the power of patriarchal and discriminative knowledge systematically contributes to the perpetuation of discourse and practice of early marriage. The reconstruction of non-patriarchal and non-discriminative knowledge is urgent in order to create what Foucault calls “the rupture from the past,” by involving authoritative agencies and re-inculcating egalitarian norms and orders as a control over the continuation of non-discriminative knowledge and practices in relation to early marriage. [Tulisan ini mengeskplorasi konstruksi teologis normatif, seksualitas, dan relasi power serta kontestasinya yang memberikan kontribusi terhadap pelanggengan serta hegemoni wacana patriarkhi sekitar pernikahan dini dan me- kanisme kekuasaan pengetahuan yang beroperasi dalam wacana pernikahan dini tersebut. Fenomena pernikahan dini menggambarkan bagaimana pengetahuan dibentuk, dikendalikan serta dilanggengkan melalui berbagai me- kanisme sehingga menjadi praktek diskursif yang sistematik. Wacana dan praktek pernikahan dini berkaitan den- gan berbagai pengetahuan patriarkhi yang dibangun berdasarkan pemahaman terhadap teks agama dan dilegiti- masi oleh agen-agen (tokoh dan lembaga agama) dan legitimasi kultural. Pengetahuan tentang dosa seks bebas dan bahaya tubuh perempuan di satu sisi, dan di sisi lain perkawinan sebagai ibadah dibakukan menjadi norma dan peraturan (norma bahwa perempuan harus menutup tubuhnya, harus segera menikah agar terjaga) yang dalam sistem kekuasaan berfungsi sebagai pengatur dan pengontrol praktek dan keberlanjutan kuasa pengetahuan terse- but. Berbagai bentuk aturan dan norma, seperti larangan, keharusan, stigmatisasi dan stereotipi, menjadi mekanis- me strategis dalam mengokohkan kekuasaan pengetahuan tentang “kenormalan” pernikahan dini. Norma disosial- isasikan dalam berbagai kegiatan keagamaan dan praktek-praktek kultural dan pada saat yang sama dibangun pengetahuan tentang pernikahan dini sebagai lembaga penyaluran hasrat seksual dan menjadi solusi antisipatif kehamilan diluar lembaga perkawinan. Rangkaian konstruksi pengetahuan dan seksualitas tentang tubuh perem- puan sebagai sumber godaan, pacaran identik dengan hubungan suami Isteri, kehamilan tidak dikehendaki, dan keterbatasan usia, kemudian dibekukan dalam bentuk norma (misalnya keharusan menjaga virginitas, keharusan menjaga nama baik keluarga dan larangan melanggar norma) dan berbagai aturan yang menguatkan pengetahuan tersebut, dan memberikan kontribusi dalam melanggengkan wacana dan praktek pernikahan dini. Analisis relasi kuasa tentang pernikahan dini memperlihatkan bahwa kuasa pengetahuan yang patriarkhi dan dikriminatif secara sistemik memberikan kontribusi signifikan terhadap pelanggengan praktek pernikahan dini. Dengan demikian, agar dapat mewujudkan apa yang disebut Foucalt sebagai “the rupture from the past,” diperlukan konstruksi pengetahuan yang non patriarkhi dan non diskriminatif, dengan melibatkan agen-agen dan lembaga yang dipandang otoritatif dan legitimatif, serta pembakuan norma dan etika yang egaliter sebagai alat kontrol terhadap pengetahuan terse- but. Dengan pembakuan norma, aturan dan etika maka subyektifitas dan praktek masyarakat juga akan dapat berubah menjadi egaliter dan non dikriminatif.]

Abstract:
Biblical theology - dogmatic theology The purpose of this article is to make a contribution to the discussion between systematic theology and biblical theology from the point of view of what systematic theology can expect of the latter. In this discussion the ideas of JP Gabler, as portrayed by H Boers, can play an important role. The following notions are identified: Dogmatic tendencies should not play a part in the presentation of a biblical theology. Biblical theology should accept a responsibility only to the biblical material which is employed; form a bridge between the exegesis and the exegetical results on the one hand and the systematic theology on the other hand; keep its purpose aligned to dogmatic theology and help to construct methods as how to incorporate the diversities and unity in the biblical witness.
