There are four commonly used statistical tables, namely Student’s t, Unit Normal Distribution or Z, chi-square, and F tables. The purpose of this paper is to provide researchers and practitioners a brief description of the tables and how to use them. The T table is used for sample analysis with normal distribution. The Z table is used for population or expected value analysis with normal distribution. The chi square table is used for one sample analysis that is not normally distributed. The F table is used for two samples that are not normally distributed.

Data must be centered and scaled before analysis, and as in conventional two-way analysis, preprocessing options affect the reduction in dimensionality and the appearance of the results. Abstract The corrosion of AISI Type 316L stainless steel (316L SS) liner plates in the flash chambers of a multistage flash (MSF) desalination plant, located on the Arabian Gulf coast was investigated. The 316L SS liner plates developed severe corrosion within six years of operation. This study was conducted to develop an understanding of the mode and causes of corrosion of the liner plates, and to determine the effect of heat treatment (annealing or heat effect during welding) and temperature of salt solution on corrosion of the liner plates. Specimens of the liner plates were studied in as-r

The oil and gas industry can be considered one of the main industrial fields in corrosion inhibitor usage. In this aggressive environment, dissolved CO2poses as an intensifying component. The study and synthesis of new materials that can mitigate corrosion rates in such an aggressive environment is a constant scientific effort. Nanomaterials research can be considered a fast-growing field with many applications [1]. Specifically for corrosion inhibitor studies, materials that present a 2D or 0D structure, such as graphene oxide and carbon dots, respectively, may offer excellent inhibition capa

Abstract The purpose of this work was to compare the degree of sensitization (DOS) data from a modified double loop electrochemical potentiodynamic reactivation test (modified DL EPR) with an ASTM standard practice for detecting sensitization. The DL EPR test was modified for use with cast stainless steels because the stronger passivation characteristics of duplex ferrite/austenite castings rendered the standard EPR test results inconclusive1. The samples used for these tests were CF8, the cast version of wrought 304 stainless steel. CF8 is roughly composed of 18 wt% Chromium, 8 wt% Nickel wit

In deltaic environments like the Danube Delta, sedimentary particles can range from clay and silt to sand and gravel. The proximity to the Black Sea introduces marine processes into the deltaic system that can be translated as a mixture of fine-grained sediments derived from the fluvial delta along with marine sediments from the Black Sea. This region is of particular importance for the ecology and hydrology of the Danube Delta due to the presence of sandy deposits that cause a major change in both natural and anthropogenic habitats. The emergence of artificial canals dug in sandy deposits had

Example data would be oil and gas densities, relative total and relative oil volumes, and produced gas volumes in the CVD and DLE lab tests. Introduction: The most common methods used in the laboratories for measuring serum creatinine level are Jaffe and enzymatic methods. Compared to Jaffe method, enzymatic method is more expensive but less susceptible to interferences. Interferences lead to misleading of test results and lead to misdiagnosis. The overall risk associated with the Jaffe method depends on the probability of misclassification of Chronic Kidney Disease. In practice, very few routine specimens can be processed within the time interval manually. Considerable delay occur in sample delivery, either because of human errors

Heavy minerals (HMs) are minerals with a specific gravity greater than 2.9 g/cm3. They are commonly highly resistant to physical and chemical weathering, and therefore persist in sediments as lasting indicators of the (former) presence of the rocks they formed in. The presence/absence of certain HMs, their associations with other HMs, their concentration levels, and the geochemical patterns they form in maps or 3D models can be indicative of geological processes that contributed to their formation. Furthermore trace element and isotopic analyses of HMs have been used to vector to mineralisatio
