Abstract:

Between 2020 and 2023, Castanopsis sclerophylla, an evergreen broad-leaved tree native to southern China, exhibited powdery mildew symptoms on mature trees in Nanchang, Jiangxi province, with an incidence rate of 50% to 75%. Microscopic examination of the sexual morph revealed that the fungus differed from Erysiphe kissiana by having smaller chasmothecia, and fewer asci and ascospores. Throughfall chemistry was studied in ponderosa pine (Pinusponderosa Laws.) seedlings exposed to wet and dry acidic deposition, ozone (O3), drought, and nitric acid (HNO3) in open-top chambers in the Sierra Nevada of California from 1988 to 1990. Seven acid rain events (pH 3.5, 4.4, and 5.3) occurred during each growing season. Acidity of the simulated rain treatments had little effect on net throughfall fluxes except for greater net SO42− content in throughfall of the pH 3.5 treatment. In this study, we explore TaNBR1 in response to drought stress. Expression of the TaNBR1 gene was strongly induced by NaCl, PEG, and abscisic acid treatments. The Toolebuc Formation in the Eromanga and Carpentaria basins in western Queensland shares many characteristics with successful tight oil plays in the US. A study by the Geological Survey of Queensland has examined key parameters for this formation, including depth, thickness, lithology, mineralogy, maturity (both vitrinite reflectance and Tmax), total organic carbon and mud gas compositions and identified a possible play fairway in the central Eromanga Basin.
