Academic literature on the topic 'Tarradellas'

El restablecimiento de la Generalitat ha sido considerado como uno de los episodios claves del relato político de la Transición. Las negociaciones entre Josep Tarradellas y Sánchez-Terán, unidas a los contactos anteriores entre Gobierno y president, así como el acuerdo de Perpiñán con los partidos catalanes, han sido interpretados por la historiografía como respuestas a un anhelo de la sociedad catalana en el tiempo político que se abrió tras la muerte del general Franco. Ahora bien, hasta la fecha se ha hecho poco hincapié en una visión histórica más amplia que supere el ámbito temporal de la Transición. El propio Real Decreto-ley 41/1977 hace referencia al decreto de 1938 por el que se derogaba la Generalitat. Nos encontramos, por tanto, con el único texto que reconoce una institución republicana, una cuestión poco abordada por la historiografía. De igual manera, tampoco se han aportado explicaciones convincentes de por qué, a diferencia de lo acaecido con la Generalitat, no se restablecieron otras instituciones republicanas existentes al comienzo de la Transición. Trataremos de dar respuesta a estas cuestiones a partir de testimonios de prensa, el archivo personal de Sánchez-Terán, las memorias de los principales políticos catalanes y entrevistas con algunos de los protagonistas.

A Arqueologia que se fez na Espanha, durante o regime Franquista, foi sem dúvida uma Arqueologia enviesada, compelida e sobretudo, cruel. Nesse artigo discorreremos sobre a relação entre o Governo e a Academia no período franquista. Temos como objetivo evidenciar os maus usos da Arqueologia, para tanto abordaremos quatro autores que tiveram importante papel na Arqueologia durante o regime de Franco, são eles: Julio Martínez Santa-Olalla; Martín Almagro Basch, Oswald Meghin e Miguel Tarradell i Mateu.

Questo articolo riesamina il lavoro di M. Ponsich, pubblicato nel 1981, sul centro monumentale di Lixus (Morocco). Egli interpretava le strutture trovate negli scavi iniziati da Tarradell nel 1948 come un ínsieme di santuari tra loro legati e databili principalmente in epoca romana. Il nuovo esame dei resti conservati insieme con i più recenti scavi ci permettono di riesaminare questa parte del sito. È possibile identificare i resti di un grande santuario di periodo mauretano (IV-I secolo a.C), che include templi, giardini e magazzini. Nel periodo di Giuba II (30-10 a.C.) al di sopra dei giardini adiacenti ai templi più antichi fu costruito un palazzo. Tale complesso residenziale era dotato di un atrio corinzio e due peristili. È stato anche possibile identificare l'oecus triclinaris, il cryptoporticus, le exedrae e le sale. Nell'articolo si propone che il palazzo sia una delle residenze di Giuba II.

Can Gio mangrove forest (CGM) is located downstream of Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), situated between an estuarine system of Dong Nai - Sai Gon river and a part of Vam Co river. The CGM is the largest restored mangrove forest in Vietnam and the UNESCO’s Mangrove Biosphere Reserve. The CGM has been gradually facing to numeric challenges of global climate change, environmental degradation and socio-economic development for the last decades. To evaluate sediment quality in the CGM, we collected 13 cores to analyze for sediment grain size, organic matter content, and trace element concentration of Cd, Cr, Cu, Ni, Pb, Zn. Results showed that trace element concentrations ranged from uncontaminated (Cd, Cu, and Zn) to very minor contaminated (Cr, Ni, and Pb). La tesi doctoral Josep Tarradellas (1899-1936). Dels orígens a la Guerra Civil aborda els anys de joventut i de formació política del qui va ser president de la Generalitat de Catalunya (1954-1980). El treball presenta com la progressió i experiència professional de Tarradellas, com a dependent de comerç, viatjant i petit empresari, va influir en la seva actuació política posterior. Situant les habilitats organitzatives apreses en els seus negocis com la base d’una política de gestió, planificació o pragmàtica. Apareixent, en aquest sentit, amb un perfil més propi dels self-made men nord-americans esdevinguts polítics que no pas amb el dels dirigents catalans i espanyols que li eren contemporanis. La tesi s’atura en el moment en que aquesta etapa de formació acaba en començar la Guerra Civil, quan Tarradellas esdevé una figura central del període i ja es pot considerar un polític ‘adult’. El treball també planteja com el testimoni del propi Tarradellas sobre el seu passat, en els anys 1977-1988, va configurar un relat de la seva etapa de formació, comunament acceptat per manca d’un estudi crític, que no es correspon amb l’esdevingut. En aquest sentit, la tesi planteja que aquesta alteració, lluny de ser fruit de la desmemòria, és el resultat de la recerca de la legitimitat com a President i la voluntat de lligar la seva figura amb la del president Francesc Macià (1931-1933) per aconseguir-la.
The thesis Josep Tarradellas (1899-1936). From Origins to the Civil War explores the youth of the President of the Generalitat de Catalunya (1954-1980) and the period of his political education. The research shows how the development and professional experience of Tarradellas, as a shop assistant, sales representative and business man, influenced his later political action. It argues that Tarradellas used the organizational skills learned in his job as the basis of his management, planning and pragmatic policies and appears in this respect, to share a profile more closely related to American businessmen that became politicians, than to his Catalan and Spanish political contemporaries. The thesis stops at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War, when the training of Tarradellas as a politician ends and when he becomes a central figure of the new period as an ‘adult’ politician. The work also argues that Tarradellas set up a false narrative on his youth, during the period 1977-1988, which has been commonly accepted. The thesis suggests that this alteration, far from being the result of forgetfulness, was done with the aim of searching for legitimization as a President in order to tie his image to that of President Francesc Macià (1931-1933).
