This article explores the factors contributing to the formation of urban heat islands in Tashkent, their impacts, and the significance of urban green spaces in reducing the intensity of urban heat islands. The study identifies two types of urban heat islands in Tashkent: air and surface hot islands. The cooling effect of green spaces in Tashkent has been quantified using the Invest software, and a heat mitigation index map of Tashkent has been developed. The findings suggest that urban green spaces play a crucial role in mitigating the intensity of urban heat islands in Tashkent.

The article analyzes the damage to the cable line 35 kV in the regions of Tashkent. According to the analysis results, electrical damages in the districts of Tashkent city were detected more often in Shaikhantakhur, Yunsabad, Yashnabad and Almazar districts than in other districts. Electrical damage was mainly in the sleeve -51%, in the cable – 43% and in the funnel – 6%. Moisture, corrosion, mechanical wear, manufacturing defects and other factors are the main causes of this damage.

It has been established that with the growth of transport electrification, it is possible to achieve hazardous concentrations of particulate matter in the atmospheric air of the city. In the Shymkent city (South Kazakhstan) in 2019 and 2021 several specimens of Bogdanov's thin-toed gecko (Tenuidactylus bogdanovi) were found. The find was located 129 km north of the nearest known location in the Tashkent city in Uzbekistan. The repeated finding of Bogdanov's gecko in Shymkent confirms the eligibility of including this species in the list of herpetofauna of Kazakhstan.
