This research paper aims to provide a comparative analysis of interpolation methods for estimating bathymetric data. Accurate measurement of bathymetry is crucial for a variety of applications, including navigation, oceanography, and coastal management. However, due to the high cost and difficulty of acquiring bathymetric data, gaps in measurements are common. Interpolation methods are widely used to fill these gaps and estimate the depths of water at unsampled locations. In this study, we analyze the most commonly used interpolation methods, including linear, inverse distance weighting, krigi

AbstractA popular and challenging task in video research, frame interpolation aims to increase the frame rate of video. Most existing methods employ a fixed motion model, e.g., linear, quadratic, or cubic, to estimate the intermediate warping field. However, such fixed motion models cannot well represent the complicated non-linear motions in the real world or rendered animations. Instead, we present an adaptive flow prediction module to better approximate the complex motions in video. Furthermore, interpolating just one intermediate frame between consecutive input frames may be insufficient fo

We show that our new method preserves the linear accuracy property of barycentric interpolation in a coordinate-invariant sense. This paper deals with spatial interpolation of instantaneous Particle Tracking Velocimetry (PTV) data. Such a task can be handled using generic signal processing tools like B-splines, radial basis functions (RBF) or Kriging. We deal with non time-resolved PTV as gathered by dual frame particle image velocimetry (PIV) systems followed by dual frame PTV algorithms. In such a dual frame context, Physics-based interpolation techniques typically rely on enforcement of divergence free constraints on the interpolated field. Interpolation is a procedure that depends on the spatial and/or statistical properties of the analysed variable(s). It is a particularly challenging task for small datasets, such as in those with less than 20 points of data. This problem is common in subsurface geological mapping, i.e., in cases where the data is taken solely from wells. Successful solutions of such mapping problems depend on interpolation methods designed primarily for small datasets and the datasets themselves. Modeling reality face of a given person is a difficult task because of the complexity of face surface. To improve the modeling results, kriging was used in 3D face modeling adjustment . The general face model is personalized using the space interpolation technology of Kriging. To improve the result of Kriging, the 3D model is smoothed by interpolating once again in a local area near every feature point, and then a better natural result is achieved.
