This study examines Tatums, Oklahoma, under the assumption that the historically black towns (HBT) developed as a response to conditions in the South. This community provides a rich example of the apparent anomalies that the environment of self-segregation created. Despite the widespread violence of the Klan, the residents of the HBTs were not the targets of lynching or mob violence. The dissertation analyses the reliefs and paintings on thirty-one different tombs in Western Anatolia erected between 600 and 450 BC, in order to illuminate the ways in which non-Greek elites were identified on their memorials. The tombs from three areas are treated: Phrygia, Hellespontine Phrygia and Lydia, where the primary language groups were Phrygian, Mysian and Lydian. Unlike other heroines of the Greek romantic novels, who are consistently chaste, the heroine of Achilles Tatius’ novel Leucippe and Clitophon displays a (temporary) lack of sexual reticence; she also possesses musical talent. These features are central to her characterization in the novel’s first two books, which, incidentally, bear the distinct influence of Roman love elegy. The paper explores various levels of development across Slovak tourism regions. The main objective is to identify the six most developed tourism regions in Slovakia. Hierarchical cluster analysis was used as the primary tool for assessing the level of tourism development. Brevoort and updated by KTA-Tator, Inc. in 1996 (1) provided a table of projected service life based largely on a survey of coating manufacturers.
