Abstract:
Five compounds of mono para-hidroxy chalcon were synthesized (TC1, TC2, TC3, TC4, and TC5) and tested their cytotoxicity against HeLa cell and Raji cell. The difference in substituent of TC1 (R4 =H), TC2 (R4 = OCH3), and TC3 (R4 = F), showed the difference of their citotoxicity against HeLa cell. The citotoxicity of TC1 (LC50 = 16.08 µg/mL) ≈ TC3 (LC50 = 13.37 µg/mL), but the substituent difference of TC2 (LC50 = 147.43 µg/mL), decreasing it citotoxicity 10 times. Like wise their citotoxicity against Raji cell of TC1 (LC50 = 36.44 µg/mL) ≈ TC3 (LC50 = 30.46 µg/mL), but the substituent difference of TC2 (LC50 = 468.94 µg/mL), decreasing it citotoxicity activity 15 times. Nevertheless the strength of citotoxicity TC4 (LC50 = 98.74 µg/mL) and TC5 (LC50 = 110.97 µg/mL) against Raji cell are stronger than the citotoxicity of two of them against HeLa cell (LC50 of TC4 = none, LC50 of TC5 = 576.53 µg/mL). Abstract:
To develop novel radiolabeled amino acid tumor imaging agents, 4-methoxy-L-phenylalanine dithiocarbamate (MOPADTC) was synthesized successfully, and two kinds of 99mTc-labeled complexes ([99mTc]TcN-MOPADTC and [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC) with high radiochemical purities (RCP > 95%) were obtained. The in vitro stability and partition coefficient were determined, and the results show that both of these complexes have good in vitro stability; [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC is hydrophilic, while [99mTc]TcN-MOPADTC is slightly lipophilic. The biodistribution of [99mTc]TcN-MOPADTC and [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC in mice bearing S180 tumors shows that the tumor uptake and tumor/muscle ratio of [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC were higher than the tumor uptake and tumor/muscle ratio of [99mTc]TcN-MOPADTC. In addition, the tumor retention of [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC is better than the tumor retention of [99mTc]TcN-MOPADTC. A competitive inhibition assay was performed, and the results indicate that [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC may enter cells primarily via the L-alanine/L-serine/L-cysteine (ASC) system. Single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) imaging of [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC shows obvious accumulation in tumor sites, suggesting that [99mTc]TcO-MOPADTC is a novel potential tumor-imaging agent.

Abstract:
As multicellular organisms grow, spatial and temporal patterns of gene expression are strictly regulated to ensure that developmental programs are invoked at appropriate stages. In this work, we describe a putative transcriptional regulator in Arabidopsis, TACO LEAF (TCO), whose overexpression results in the ectopic activation of reproductive genes during vegetative growth. Isolated as an activation-tagged allele, tco-1D displays gene misexpression and phenotypic abnormalities, such as curled leaves and early flowering, characteristic of chromatin regulatory mutants. A role for TCO in this mode of transcriptional regulation is further supported by the subnuclear accumulation patterns of TCO protein and genetic interactions between tco-1D and chromatin modifier mutants. The endogenous expression pattern of TCO and gene misregulation in tco loss-of-function mutants indicate that this factor is involved in seed development. We also demonstrate that specific serine residues of TCO protein are targeted by the ubiquitous kinase CK2. Collectively, these results identify TCO as a novel regulator of gene expression whose activity is likely influenced by phosphorylation, as is the case with many chromatin regulators.

Abstract:
Nine families of bread wheat (TC5, TC6, TC7, TC8, TC9, TC10, TC14, 5395-(243AA), and 5395) with resistance to barley yellow dwarf virus and containing putative translocations between wheat and a group 7 chromosome of Agropyron intermedium (L1 disomic addition line, 7Ai#1 chromosome) induced by homoeologous pairing or tissue culture were analyzed. C-banding, genomic in situ hybridization (GISH), and restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) in combination with repetitive Agropyron-specific sequences and deletion mapping in wheat were used to determine the relative locations of the translocation breakpoints and the size of the transferred alien chromatin segments in hexaploid wheat–Agropyron translocation lines. All homoeologous compensating lines had complete 7Ai#1 or translocated 7Ai#1–7D chromosomes that substitute for chromosome 7D. Two complete 7Ai#1 (7D) substitution lines (5395-(243AA) and 5395), one T1BS–7Ai#1S∙7Ai#1L addition line (TC7), and two different translocation types, T7DS–7Ai#1S∙7Ai#1L (TC5, TC6, TC8, TC9, and TC10) and T7DS∙7DL–7Ai#1L (TC14), substituting for chromosome 7D were identified. The substitution line 5395-(243AA) had a reciprocal T1BS∙1BL–4BS/T1BL–4BS∙4BL translocation. TC14 has a 6G (6B) substitution. The RFLP data from deletion mapping studies in wheat using 37 group 7 clones provided 10 molecular tagged chromosome regions for homoeologous and syntenic group 7 wheat or Agropyron chromosomes. Together with GISH we identified three different sizes of the transferred Agropyron chromosome segments with approximate breakpoints at fraction length (FL) 0.33 in the short arm of chromosome T7DS–7Ai#1S∙7Ai#1L (TC5, TC6, TC8, TC9, and TC10) and another at FL 0.37 of the nonhomoeologous translocated chromosome T1BS–7Ai#1S∙7Ai#1L (TC7). One breakpoint was identified in the long arm of chromosome T7DS∙7DL–7Ai#1L (TC14) at FL 0.56. We detected some nonreciprocal translocations for the most proximal region of the chromosome arm of 7DL, which resulted in small duplications. Key words : C-banding, genomic in situ hybridization (GISH), physical mapping, translocation mapping, RFLP analysis.

Abstract:
Total column ozone (TCO) describes the amount of ozone in the entire atmosphere. Many scholars have used the lower resolution data to study TCO in different regions, but new phenomena can be discovered using high-precision and high-resolution TCO data. This paper used the long time, high accuracy, and high-resolution MSR2 dataset (2000–2019) to analyze the spatial and temporal variation characteristics of TCO over the Yangtze River Delta Urban Agglomeration to explore the relationship between the TCO and meteorological and socio-economic factors. The correlations between the TCO and climatic factors and the driving forces of meteorological and socio-economic factors on the spatial and temporal variability of TCO were also analyzed, and different mathematical models were constructed to fit the TCO for the past 20 years and predict the future trend of the TCO. The results show the following. (1) The TCO over the study area exhibited a quasi-latitudinal distribution, following a slight downtrend during 2000–2019 (0.01 ± 0.18 DU per year) and achieved its maximum in 2010 and minimum in 2019; throughout the year, an inverted V-shaped cycle characterizes the monthly variability of TCO; TCO was significantly higher in spring than in summer and autumn than winter. (2) Precipitation and the absorbed aerosol index (AAI) had critical effects on the spatial distribution of TCO, but meteorological factors were weakly correlated with the annual variation of TCO subject to the game interactions between different external driving factors. The monthly changes in the TCO were not in synergy with that of other meteorological factors, but with a significant hysteresis effect by 3–5 months. Socio-economic factors had a significant influence on TCO over the study area. (3) The Fourier function model can well describe the history and future trend of the annual TCO over the study area. The TCO over the study area shows a fluctuating upward trend (0.27 ± 1.35 DU per year) over the next 11 years. This study enriches the theoretical and technical system of ozone research, and its results can provide the necessary theoretical basis for ozone simulation and forecasting.

Full text
Abstract:
Purpose – The purpose of the thesis is to create understanding of the outsourcing decision making by developing a decision model for outsourcing. To achieve this, the following questions are answered: What factors should influence the outsourcing decision? What costs should be analyzed so that an outsourcing decision should be balanced? What components should be included in a decision model for outsourcing? Method – The thesis is based on an analytical conceptual study with a deductive and inductive approach, where the influencing factors was generated through literature reviews. Comparison and analysis of existing theories were made to identify the influencing factors, based on the generated influencing factors a decision model for outsourcing was created. Findings – Results from the study shows that there are several factors that influence the outsourcing decision and can in summary be positioned as strategic and competitive factors and cost factors. The developed decision model for outsourcing consists of seven steps, where each step includes various analyzes and decisions, the seven steps are based on the factors that should be affected by outsourcing. Research limitations/implications – The results in this thesis are based only on theory. The model can still be generalized by being adaptable for different Organization. Practical implications – Decision model can be used to aid and support in an outsourcing decision. To facilitate the decision-maker and get an overview of the factors and costs that are affected by the outsourcing decision model can be used. With the decision model, the organization can analyze factors and costs to obtain a comprehensive decision-making. Originality – Since many organizations are making outsourcing decision wrongly without taking into account all the factors affected by the outsourcing decision. There is, in the authors' knowledge no complete decision model that highlights all the factors that may be affected by an outsourcing decision.

Abstract:
The modifications of transparent conductive oxides (TCOs) have been studied using an electrochemical evaluation technique (cyclic voltammetry (CV)). Substituted ferrocenes were chemically adsorbed onto the surface of indium tin oxide (ITO) and indium zinc oxide (IZO). The electroactive surface coverage, the redox potential, and the charge transfer rate of the adsorbed modifiers were evaluated using CV. The highest electroactive surface coverage was produced by ferrocene phosphonic acid while ferrocene acetic acid showed the fastest charge transfer rate. The charge transfers with the modified electrodes were evaluated in the presence of a solution electroactive probe. The charge transfer rate of the solution probe was enhanced with the modified electrodes compared to the charge transfer rate measured with unmodified electrodes. Even though the cause of the enhancement in the charge transfer rate is not clear, the results suggest that the modification of TCO may improve the charge collection efficiency of TCO, which is desirable for the application of TCO in devices such as organic photovoltaic cells.

Abstract:
This work concerns the development of CuFe1-xCrxO2:Mg delafossite oxide thin films deposited by RF-magnetron sputtering for the potential transparent conductor applications. Various CuFe1-xCrxO2 (0 = x = 1) powders were synthesized by a standard solid-state reaction. These oxides crystallize with the delafossite structure and a complete solid solution was obtained. Thermo-structural study has revealed the stability range of CuFe1-xCrxO2 compounds under oxidizing and reducing atmosphere. Their physical properties were also characterized. Thus, we showed that the stability range increases with the chromium quantity and chromium-rich delafossites are the most conductive and the least absorbent. Then, CuFeO2:Mg and CuCrO2:Mg delafossite thin films were prepared at room temperature by RF-magnetron sputtering from ceramic targets. After annealing under vacuum at 450°C, CuFeO2:Mg thin films have too low optoelectronic properties for p-type TCO application in the visible range; however these compounds are promising for infra-red TCO applications and/or absorber for photovoltaic application. After annealing under vacuum at 450°C, the p-type conductivity and the bandgap of CuCrO2:Mg thin films are about 0,1 S. Cm-1 and 3,13 eV respectively. These values can be increased by annealing at higher temperature than 450°C

Abstract:
Po důkladné analýze trhu vybral autor služby nabízené největším vyhledávačem Google a jedním z největších dodavatelů IS/ICT společností IBM.

Abstract:
At present, the utilization of thermal energy from sunlight has been widely adopted as the working principle of concentrated solar power (CSP) generation systems. In this research, we suggest a CSP technology based on the properties of transparent conductive oxide (TCO) films on metal substrates which is compatible with mass production of solar selective absorbers that can be utilized at high temperatures. TCO material has plasma wavelength in infrared region. Therefore the electromagnetic wave with shorter wavelength than plasma wavelength goes through the material, while the electromagnetic wave with longer wavelength is reflected on the surface. By coating metal surface with a TCO film, interference is occurred in transparent wavelength range of TCO. Therefore, solar energy is highly absorbed, though thermal radiation from the absorber is suppressed. The optical property of fabricated TCO coated metal is well consistent with the simulated property. It is revealed that the performance of the absorber is improved by fabricating microstructures on the metal substrate. Thermal stability is confirmed at 700°C in vacuum for 3 hours. Solar absorptance and hemispherical emittance of the fabricated absorber are 0.82 and 0.17, respectively, which is comparable to that of commercialized absorbers.

Abstract:
At present, the utilization of thermal energy from sunlight has been widely adopted as the working principle of concentrated solar power (CSP) generation systems. In this research, we suggest a CSP technology based on the properties of transparent conductive oxide (TCO) thin films on metal substrates which is compatible with mass production of solar selective absorbers that can be utilized at high temperatures. Since the plasma wavelength of TCO materials is in the infrared region, electromagnetic waves with wavelengths longer than the plasma wavelength are reflected at the surface, whereas electromagnetic waves with shorter wavelengths pass through the surface layer and reach the substrate. In other words, a TCO thin film behaves as an antireflection film only in the transparency range of TCO coating. This phenomenon is demonstrated through numerical simulations based on rigorous coupled-wave analysis (RCWA). The prepared samples also show favorable spectral selectivity and satisfactory performance as solar selective absorbers, with a solar absorptance of 0.76, a thermal emittance of 0.12 at 800°C and a spectral selectivity of 6.5 at 800°C.

Abstract:
In this study, a method combining room temperature pulsed laser deposition (PLD) and direct pulsed laser recrystallization (DPLR) are introduced to deposit superior transparent conductive oxide (TCO) layer on low melting point flexible substrates. As an indispensable component of thin film solar cell, TCO layer with a higher quality will improve the overall performance of solar cells. Alumina-doped zinc oxide (AZO), as one of the most promising TCO candidates, has now been widely used in solar cells. However, to achieve optimal electrical and optical properties of AZO on low melting point flexible substrate is challenging. Recently developed direct pulsed laser recrystallization (DPLR) technique is a scalable, economic and fast process for point defects elimination and recrystallization at room temperature. It features selective processing by only heating up the TCO thin film and preserve the underlying substrate at low temperature. In this study, 250 nm AZO thin film is pre-deposited by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on flexible and rigid substrates. Then DPLR is introduced to achieve a uniform TCO layer on low melting point flexible substrates, i.e. commercialized Kapton polyimide film and micron-thick Al-foil. Both finite element analysis (FEA) simulation and designed experiments are carried out to demonstrate that DPLR is promising in manufacturing high quality AZO layers without any damage to the underlying flexible substrates. Under appropriate experiment conditions, such as 248 nm in laser wavelength, 25 ns in laser pulse duration, 15 laser pulses at laser fluence of 25 mJ/cm2, desired temperature would result in the AZO thin film and activate the grain growth and recrystallization. Besides laser conditions, the thermal conductivity and crystallinity of the substrate serve as additional factors in the DPLR process. It is found that the substrate’s thermal conductivity correlates positively with the AZO crystal size; the substrate’s crystallinity correlates positively with the AZO film’s crystallinity. The thermal expansion of substrate would also contribute to the film tensile stress after processed by DPLR technique. The overall results indicate that DPLR technique is useful and scalable for flexible solar cell manufacturing.

Abstract:
A parametric study for a booster assisted ejector refrigeration system in steady state is carried out employing Lu’s ejector model in transition regime. The range of generator and condenser temperatures is considered for a solar powered system. Conceiving the ejector geometry, through the area ratio φ and the main throat area A*, and the system behavior, through the energy efficiency COPs, the exergy efficiency εs and energy ratio Er, it was found that their extreme values, lowest for A* and highest for the remainder, are reached at the highest generator temperature, TGE, and booster discharge pressure, pDIS, with the lowest condenser temperature, TCO, for the considered evaporator temperature, TEV, of −10°C. In regard to the ejector behavior, its maximum efficiency value, ηEJ, is reached for the highest TGE and the lowest TCO for an intermediate pDIS. If TCO is increased, the maximum ηEJ value is achieved at a higher pDIS. In spite of that the maximum ηEJ value is not reached at the highest pDIS, its influence is not reflected in system behavior because U always increases and its maximum value agrees with theory. The most important system and ejector parameters are presented as a reference.
