Abstract:
Informatization is one of the stages in the development of modern society. This process is characterized by the increasing role of education in all spheres of human activity and the increasing importance of artificial intelligence and communications. One of the key areas of informatization is the addition of education to new theories and practices that are aimed at using advanced information technologies for the purpose of teaching and teaching the modern generation. Information and communication technologies (ICT) are a form of informatization. On the other hand, now they are actively being introduced into the educational process as teaching aids. The successful implementation of informatization is largely determined by the human and material potential of educational institutions and the degree of teacher training. The process of introducing ICT into practice is chaotic, but today there is a pattern in it, and researchers around the world find and explore it.

Abstract:
The paper discusses using online resources in modern teaching Russian as a foreign language (henceforth - RFL). A lot of resources for teaching and learning Russian are uploaded online daily. However, the format of their integration into educational process has not been analyzed yet. The acuteness of the present study stems from the necessity to define effective educational online resources for teaching RFL. The study draws upon the data of free-access online resources developed for A0-B1 level students in leading Russian universities. The aim of the study is to analyse online RFL resources, including educational software, applications and sites, their structure and their chances to be integrated into teaching process. The research has resulted in estimating educational and functional value of online teaching resources for students who study Russian in order to enter Russian universities. The paper presents conclusions concerning practical application of online resources in RFL teaching practice in blended education of foreign students in the higher educational establishments. The theoretical significance of the research lies in the fact that the analysis of fundamental scientific articles and electronic materials allows us to expand and deepen our knowledge about the place of e-teaching aids in the sphere of teaching foreign languages and RFL, as well as to justify the need to include electronic teaching materials in order to intensify the learning process. The results of the research can be implemented in blended forms of learning, distance learning, as well as in organizing students' independent learning in the university environment.

Abstract:
The article identifies the main learning technologies used to teach students in higher medical education. Learning technologies have been found to help improve the learning process and improve learning outcomes. The main learning technologies used in working with students of higher medical educational institutions are analyzed. It is investigated that learning technologies influence the teaching of foreign languages. It was found that the use of research, simulation, information, problem-based learning and heuristic are common and used in foreign language teaching. It is concluded that for the effective use of technology it is important to pay attention to what technology may be suitable for each individual student group. The use of modern teaching aids is part of information and communication technology. It is this technology that reveals the full range of ICT applications. Search technologies allow to actively involve students in research activities due to motivation to learn a foreign language and search for new resources and sources of information. Heuristic technology is one of the most used today, it allows to involve all students in active interaction in the classroom, to make associations between clinical disciplines and English and to be as ready as possible for interactive tasks. Simulation and dialogue technologies give students the opportunity to feel like real doctors, gain experience in communication in different situations and develop their communication skills. In the future, we plan to explore learning strategies that should be used in foreign language classes.

Abstract:
The professional training of specialists in the field of the digital economy is a promising direction in the development of economic education. The transition to digital technologies in management, banking, manufacturing, commerce, communications determines the emergence of new requirements for the professional and general competencies of university graduates. It is necessary to create an innovative vocational training system based on the use of electronic teaching aids and digital technologies. The implementation of this task should begin with the development of scientifically determined approaches to the creation of teaching aids that take into account all kinds of efficiency factors. This determines the importance of the task of scientific and methodological substantiation of the technology for creating electronic educational resources for the training of specialists in a new format. The paper proposes an analytical approach to determining the content and structure of the basic component of the methodological system - an electronic textbook. The expediency of its use in order to develop necessary competencies of the individual and group levels is substantiated. It is proposed to use a matrix form of information representation and elements of matrix and vector analysis to structure the material. A mathematical model has been developed that describes structural relationships between the concepts of the thesaurus. The structural elements in this model are the glossary concepts of an academic discipline. The possibilities of using the model for unification and automation of information processing during the selection of textbook content in various educational fields are discussed. Examples of using the proposed model in various subject areas are given. The authors describe how to represent a model based on graph theory and methods for solving the problem of the presence of cycles in this semantic structure. The main conclusions and results of the study can be used for the practical development of electronic learning tools, automating the process of structuring their content and methods of use in the educational process.

Abstract:
This study assessed the preparedness of school health personnel to develop and deliver HIV/AIDS prevention education programmes for young people in China. A survey of 653 personnel working in secondary schools in 14 cities was conducted. More than 90% had basic knowledge of ways in which HIV can be transmitted, but knowledge of ways in which the virus is not transmitted needs improvement. Substantial numbers of teachers were not sure whether there was an effective preventive vaccine (42%) or did not know whether AIDS was a curable illness or not (32%). The great majority approved of AIDS prevention programmes in universities (98%) and secondary schools (91%), although fewer (58%) agreed that the topic was appropriate for primary schools. Currently, most classroom activities focuses on teaching facts about HIV/AIDS transmission, while less than half are taught about HIV/AIDS related discrimination and life skills to reduce peer pressure. Personnel with some prior training on HIV/ AIDS education (53%) had better factual knowledge, more tolerant attitudes and more confidence in teaching about HIV/AIDS than those without training. The majority of teachers indicated a need for more resource books, audiovisual products, expert guidance, school principal support and dissemination of national AIDS prevention education guidelines to schools. Abstract:
Within youth sport, there is a clear need for improved coaching education and coaching resources. Most youth sport coaches recreational leaders are generally recruited from the community based on their availability and volunteerism (McCallister, Blinde, & Kolenbrander, 2000). While these individuals often have the best interests of participants in mind, it is difficult to ask/require a volunteer to pursue specific sport training, when they are often already pressed for time. However, with the continued growth of online resources, and the convenience the internet affords, it may be a viable option to offer online coaching resources to assist volunteer coaches and recreational leaders. Therefore, the purpose of this poster presentation is to discuss and explore volunteer youth sport coaches’ and recreational leaders’ opinions of website resources. One hundred and sixteen volunteer coaches and recreational leaders completed an 11 item survey assessing their opinions on website resources. Coaches were from a large Southwestern city and represented multiple sports including football, soccer, volleyball, cheerleading, and basketball. Results indicated that overall, participants held positive opinions regarding websites as a resource and a means for providing needed and novel information to coaches. However, they only marginally agreed that a website was the most effective method of teaching coaches and recreation leaders. Participants suggested a preference for learning material through seminars and workshops. Future research should continue to address the feasibility and limitations of online resources for coaches. As well, as technology continues to evolve, researchers should begin to address the helpfulness of social media and smartphone apps as instructional aids and resources for coaches.

Abstract:
This paper discusses the teaching of earthquake resistant design within schools of architecture. It aims to stimulate discussion on more effective means of teaching the subject, and to suggest ideas and resources for schools whose seismic design curriculum might benefit from further development. It is argued that seismic design issues should be included and integrated into architecture curricula. The case is based primarily on observations of building failures resulting from flawed architectural design decisions and subsequent critical reaction from within the architectural profession itself. However, another reason is that the large sizes and restrictive layouts of some seismic load resisting systems impact unavoidably upon architectural layouts. The content, teaching methods and teaching staff qualities appropriate for a seismic design curriculum are discussed in a case study from the School of Architecture, Victoria University of Wellington. Two key aspects of perceived success are the course's relevance to architectural design and the variety of presentation. Teaching methods, teaching aids and useful references are provided. The evaluation of the courses considered in the case study is discussed, and postgraduate and post-graduation seismic education in New Zealand is reviewed.

The rapid informatization process of the education system has created both the opportunities and the need for the use of e-books in education. E-books allow students to actively participate in the learning process, to personalize their learning, to gain new knowledge and to evaluate their own abilities. The e-textbook also enriches traditional forms of learning, encompassing a large amount of teaching and learning materials and stimulating the development of new teaching methods. In our opinion, it is time to switch to electronic and interactive formats in the development of electronic aids and textbooks in universities. One of the leading directions in the use of information and communication technologies today is the effective use of computers in educational activities. The main issue in implementing this activity is the selection of e-learning resources that will improve the quality of education.

Abstract:
To enhance the opportunities for students to access information and the instructors of a large, general plant science class, “Virtual Classroom” concepts using computers resources were implemented. The Virtual Classroom uses three computer resources: 1) a closed subscription LISTSERV for the extramural class discussions, 2) electronic mail for homework assignment and submission, and 3) a World Wide Web Internet homepage for the course. In a large, introductory-level class, student–teacher interaction can be limited. The size of the class and the content may inhibit questioning and discussion among the class participants. The LISTSERV allowed for questions to be posed by students at their leisure and facilitated discussion among students and the instructor outside of the confines of the class meeting. The LISTSERV also allowed instructors to to respond to the students by referring questions to “experts” on a particular subject. Using e-mail for homework assignment and submission was useful for tracking when student read assignments and submitted completed assignments. Electronic assignment grading and returning was paperless and easy for instructors to maintain. The homepage provided students with a permanent syllabus, lecture outlines, homework assignment descriptions, and study aids. Additionally, from the homepage students were able to send e-mail to instructors and search library databases and other electronic databases. Experiences from the instructors using these computer resources will be presented and discussed.

Abstract:
The needs of technological advancement which is infused into education system are more and more inviting thorough researches since digital environment influences educational settings. In specific, virtual laboratories as the digital environment is now not used only in engineering and computer science fields but also in educational field in general. Digitalized teaching aids, web-based learning, e-learning etc. are such possible prospective fields that need virtual labs in them. In regard to that, this study is initiated to conduct a need analysis of virtual labs for Jambi province context through library research. This study employs documentary analysis techniques to assimilate reliable information regarding virtual labs from the related literatures. Purposively, this study selects online journals that are correlated to virtual labs and analysed the variables, methods, and results of study. This study finds that studies done yield few shortcomings of virtual labs usages to only the lost opportunity of students to involve their senses during the use of virtual labs. However, in general virtual labs usages contribute benefits to science education such as: a) Virtual labs assist students to link between theoretical and scientific concepts to practical laboratory techniques and skills; b) Virtual labs provide simulations that make students more engaged in learning scientific phenomena; c) Although some important opportunities of learning experiences are not provided by virtual labs such as sensory involvement in learning, most virtual labs are developed to fulfil the characteristics of teaching aids; d) Virtual labs abbreviate the preparation steps of practicum activities, hence they make class-time used effectively; and e) Virtual labs allow students to repeat experiment for multiple times. In addition, virtual labs usages also bring prospects to some important aspects of educational field namely financial resources, academic advancement, technological computer simulation improvement, and cultural aspects. This study suggests the Jambi Education Board to recommend virtual labs usages at schools to equip science education as supplemental and supporting teaching aids.

Abstract:
After the development of speech signal processing technology has matured, various language learning tools have begun to emerge. The speech signal processing technology has many functions, such as standard tape reading, making audio aids, synthesizing speech, and performing speech evaluation. Therefore, the adoption of speech signal processing technology in English pronunciation teaching can meet different teaching needs. Voice signal processing technology can present teaching information in different forms, and promote multi-form communication between teachers and students, and between students and students. This will help stimulate students' interest in learning English and improve the overall teaching level of English pronunciation. This research first investigates and studies the current level of English pronunciation mastery. After combining the relevant principles of speech signal processing technology, it puts forward the areas that need to be optimized in the design of the English pronunciation teaching system. Through the demand analysis and function analysis of the system, this research uses speech signal processing technology to extract the characteristics of the speech signal---Mel Frequency Cepstrum Coefficient (MFCC), The system's speech signal preprocessing, speech signal feature extraction and dynamic time warping (DTW) recognition algorithms are optimized. At the same time, this research combines multimedia teaching resources such as text, pronunciation video and excellent courses to study the realization process of each function of the system.

Abstract:
Teaching oral monological speech to students of non-language higher educational institutions has always been a point of professional interest of methodologists as a complicated practical task. In the conditions of COVID-19 pandemic its implementation has become complicated due to impossibility of immediate interaction between academics and students. Thus, a prerequisite for raising the effectiveness of instruction is the expedient application of web-technologies. WebQuests are defined as an inquiry-oriented lesson format in which most or all the information that learners work with comes from the web. WebQuests are projects that raise students' motivation, develop their critical and creative thinking, as well as communicative and social skills. In their turn, compilation WebQuests are defined as tasks where students are supposed to take information from a number of sources and put it into a common format (like: a cookbook, a booklet of an exhibition etc.). The resulted texts are creative products that can be presented orally or in written form. Besides, while doing Compilation WebQuests students are supposed to read or listen to information which makes them a universal method and means of developing communicative skills. The methodological prerequisites of developing students' oral monological skills by means of Compilation WebQuests include: the choice of the methodological approach, the instructional stages, exercises and aids. The current research employs the inductive approach of teaching oral monological speech and, consequently, 3 stages that it involves: the stage of creating short utterances on the topic, the stage of their expansion by means of verbal and non-verbal aids, and the stage of their independent creation. The aids that can be used include: texts, outlines, substitution tables, structural schemes, role-cards, key-cards, proverbs and sayings, functional models and cards, audios and videos, illustrations (photos, posters and caricatures), functional noises etc. The article suggests assignments structured according to the stages described above and including the aids mentioned, that can make up the basis of a Compilation WebQuest's Process and Resources section.

The aim of the article is to present the results of the analysis of modern requirements for the didactic projection of teaching aids, to justify the demand for their design and to present a project for the integrated use of didactic tools in the training of power exercises. The study used a method of theoretical analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature on the issues reflecting the state of the problem of the didactic facilities projection, the theoretical foundations of training motor activities, the problems of creating and using didactic means for teaching motor activities. To determine the efficiency of the traditional methods of teaching power exercises a pedagogical experiment was established. 34 girls and 47 boys participated in the experiment. The results which showed the quality of learning the orienting basis for motor actions were obtained by testing. Results of the study. The modern requirements of the theory of projecting teaching aids indicate the need for a comprehensive design and reflection of the components of the implemented didactic system in the teaching facilities, namely: the purpose of training, the content of training, the learning process itself and organizational forms of education. Projecting these elements in accordance with the requirements presented in the theory makes it possible to implement a pre-designed didactic system in practice. The analysis of the theoretical bases of teaching motor actions shows that the process of mastering knowledge of motor actions as an indicative basis for carrying out these actions is of primary importance for developing motor skills and abilities. The obtained results of power exercises training system according to the traditional method showed the following: 70.2% of young men and 84.3% of girls reached the first level of learning the orienting basis of motor actions in power training. Indicators of the second level of learning were extremely low: only 5% of boys and 18.7% of girls reached it. Abstract:
Reducing human immunodeficiency viruses (HIV) and acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) racial/ethnic disparities in the Deep South has been a critical objective of the U.S. National HIV/AIDS Strategy. This finding, originally published in 2010 by the Office of National AIDS Policy, serves as a complement to the Health and Human Resources and Services Administration’s Ending the HIV Epidemic (EtHE): A Plan for America. The EtHE plan, released in 2019, emphasizes community stakeholder involvement to achieve the planning goals of decreasing new HIV infections in key U.S. geographic areas. According to the plan, an important stakeholder is faith leaders, especially around stigma reduction. This paper focuses on a community–academic research partnership’s exploration of southern Black faith leaders’ teaching perspectives regarding HIV prevention, sexuality, and sexual health in predominantly Black congregations in Memphis, Tennessee. The partnership conducted four focus groups using a semi-structured discussion interview. Any adult faith leader involved in ministry work in a predominantly Black church was eligible to participate in the discussion. A total of 26 faith leaders with a mean age of 54, representing four Christian denominations, consented to participate in the study. Emerging themes included: (1) restriction of scripture to teach prevention and address sexuality, (2) role of secrecy and silence in living with HIV, and (3) impact of the stigma of HIV and sexuality. Findings may inform nationwide jurisdictional implementation plans, particularly for faith-based interventions in southern churches working toward ending the HIV epidemic.

Abstract This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to improve the soft-skill ability of elementary school teachers and students in Tarumajaya, Bekasi, West Java, Indonesia. The activities carried out in the form of Classroom Action Research training and Creating Teaching Aids for teachers and training on the National Science Olympiad for their students. The method employed in the PkM was through material exposure (lectures), discussion, question and answer and direct practice of the material provided. The activity of the teacher begins with the exposure of the Classroom Action Research Material to the teacher delivered by the guest speaker. At the beginning, the teacher was asked to submit learning problems in the classroom. Based on the problem presented, then the resource person provided the material and adjusted it to solve the problem. The goal is that the teachers can solve the problems raised using appropriate and interesting learning methods and teaching aids. Furthermore, the teachers were directed to focus on one problem which is then revealed in the form of problem-solving steps. As for the material for making teaching aids, teachers were provided with materials to create the teaching aids and they were given a guide to make the aids as needed. Beginning with the presentation of material about the concept of teaching aids, participants were guided to make teaching aids based on the mathematical concepts to be appointed. While in the student section, the participants conducted the National Science Olympics training activities by taking the pre-test, followed by material exposure and discussion of questions and post-tests. Because students are not familiar in answering the questions about the type of National Science Olympiad, they were guided to complete each question and taught the resolution strategies. The results of this community service has been uploaded to https://youtu.be/cmoITKDbMOo Abstrak Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PkM) ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan soft-skill guru-guru dan siswa Sekolah Dasar (SD) di Tarumajaya, Kabupaten Bekasi Provinsi Jawa Barat. Abstract:
Several socioeconomic, environmental, ethnic, family, and educational factors influence an individual’s academic performance and can determine their school performance in mathematics. Mathematical competence is one of the skills that allow students to build visions of the future from performance in the present. However, the perception that students have of mathematics, in addition to the teacher–student relationship, the classroom, gender, teaching–learning, and motivation are crucial factors for achieving an optimal academic performance and preventing school failure. The aim of the present study was: (1) to examine which variables of the dimensions “Learning Mathematics” and “School Environment” significantly contribute to the marks in the second quarter and quantify their relative importance; (2) to determine the optimal algorithm model for predicting the maximum gain in students’ marks in the second quarter and quantifying it; and (3) to analyze the maximum gain in terms of gender. A total of 2018 high school students in Melilla were included in this cross-sectional study. Mathematical learning and the school environment were assessed using a validated 14-item questionnaire. Gain lift was employed to quantify the improvement in students’ performance. The role of the classroom and teacher–student relationship had a greater influence on mathematics scores than affinity indicators, teaching, study time, teaching resources used, study aids, and motivation.

Abstract:
Teaching of writing skills has become a growing concern for teachers with the implementation of CEFR aligned curriculum in recent years. Lack of relevant materials and resources is one of the contributing factors to this concern. Furthermore, writing skill acquisition could pose a challenge in the primary ESL classroom. Therefore, this study was conducted in a suburban primary school with the aim to discover Match Plate's potential in aiding pupils' writing skills. This research employed action research as the research design, and utilised three data collection methods, namely a pre-test and post-test, questionnaire and observation checklist. A total of ten participants were involved in this study. The findings revealed that there is a positive increment in the post-test results as compared to the pre-test results. Based on the survey questionnaire, most participants showed positive perceptions towards the use of Match Plate. Additionally, the data gathered from the observation checklist showed that participants were able to build sentences using Match Plate. Hence, the findings suggest that Match Plate shows potential to support pupils’ mastering of writing skills. Apart from that, pupils' positive learning attitude could be observed throughout the treatment period. Thus, it is highly recommended for teachers to resort to alternative teaching aids for language teaching.
