Abstract:
An educational system that aspires to be effective would constantly strive to bring about positive change into the society and the students it is meant to serve. Attending school would amount to a waste of time unless the experience manages to make a difference in the students’ lives regarding how they view themselves and the others around them. After all, education is not about stuffing students with knowledge; it is mostly about inspiring and empowering young learnerswith the knowledge that being different-with regards to gender, skin colour or social class - does not necessarily amount to being inferior. The aim of this reflective report is threefold. First, it tries to identify the relationship between knowledge and power. It will also elaborate on the concept of identity as a socio-cultural construct with deep implications for classroom practices, before closing with an investigation into how students and teachers' complex and diverse identities interact and shape the knowledge and power constructed in classroom practices, pedagogy, and curriculum. As implications, the paper concludes with the idea that there are yet a number of teacing and learning aspects to be explored before the classroom becomes a space where various identities are equally valued and recognized instead of a space where a sense of unequal distributon of power (and steriotypes unfairly associated with some identities) is maintained and perpetuated .

Abstract:
The writing of this article is based on the problem “Has the daily teaching-learning activity been focused on the students” (has a students-focused learning been put into practice)? If we carefully observe the daily teaching-learning activity in the classrooms, we could say that some teachers still tend to conduct it conventionally by applying the lecturing learning method and make notes (lecturing method and make notes). In such a condition, the conducted teaching-learning activity tends to be focused or centered on the presence of teacher in the class. In line with the development of the information and communication technology (ICT) in which ICT doesn’t only influence the various aspects of daily life but also influences the teacing-learning activity in the class. Abstract:
The purpose of this study examined the correlation between factors of teaching efficacy and their relation to faculty members’ backgrounds, and how organizational environment factors affect faculty teaching efficacy in male versus female populations. A questionnaire measuring six factors of teaching efficacy was distributed to 124 university faculty members in Vietnam. The finding of this study indicated that it was relatively high positive correlation between factors of teaching efficacy. Comparative results of male and female faculty members in various contexts detected using a statistical method and criteria demonstrated that almost individual factors including marital status, age groups, and academic rank were not significant in the male and female faculty teaching efficacy, except educational attainment factor. In addition, both genders were similarly affected by their organizational environment as far as teaching efficacy is concerned. The study’s implications for university management were also discussed.

Abstract:
ABSTRACTCommentators have concluded that frequent reference in Veritatis splendor to Gaudium et spes demonstrates a continuity of thought with the pastoral constitution, characteristic of a reiterative model of the use of prior magisterial teaching, one continuous teaching applied to additional issues. Recent centuries have shown that the encyclical teachings are often a vehicle for papal reinterpretation or recontextualization of previous teachings. This paper contends that the use of Gaudium et spes in Veritatis splendor follows this second model. The study demonstrates: first, that the theological anthropology of Gaudium et spes is recast in a dualist, individualist concept in Veritatis splendor, and second, that Veritatis splendor has re-contextualized quotations from Gaudium et spes on change, conscience, human autonomy, and human anthropology into teachings on law and precept. Thirdly, reliance on selective wording from Gaudium et spes enables Veritatis splendor to transform the role of the moral theologian into that of exclusively a disseminator of magisterial teaching.

Abstract:
The entry of the people of the archipelago into Islam is the ability of Islamic broadcasters to use attractive packaging, especially by emphasizing conformity with Islam or continuity with local beliefs. This continuity does not mean changes in local religious beliefs or practices but adjustments through teaching. There are many methods used by Islamic broadcasters to get the people of the archipelago to accept Islamic teachings, such as a recitation teacher who teaches Arabic either directly or indirectly. Because the Al-Qur'an, the Prophet's Hadith and Islamic teachings use Arabic, the teachers try to teach Arabic well and professionally. Arabic was first taught with the aim that Islamic teachings could be understood and practiced properly. By practicing Islamic teachings properly and correctly, it becomes an attraction for people who have not embraced Islam. After the teachings of Islam have been well and correctly accepted, the aim of teaching Arabic has changed, namely to communicate with other nations.

Abstract:
The main aim of this article lies in the comparison of ancient cosmico-natural elements from the Vedic period with their counterparts in the Presocratics, with a focus on food, air, water and fire. By way of an introduction to the ancient elemental world, we first present the concept of food (anna) as an idiosyncratic Vedic teaching of the ancient elements. This is followed by our first comparison—of Raikva’s natural philosophy of Vāyu/prāṇa with Anaximenes’s pneûma/aér teaching in the broader context of both the Vedic and Presocratic teachings on the role of air/breath. Secondly, water as brought to us in pañcāgnividyā teaching from Bṛhadāraṇyaka Upaniṣad and Chāndogya Upaniṣad is compared to the teaching of the Greek natural philosopher Thales. Finally, the teaching on fire as heat being present in all beings (agni vaiśvānara) and in relation to cosmic teachings on fire in the ancient Vedic world are compared to Heraclitus’ philosophy of fire as an element. Additionally, this article also presents a survey and analysis of some of the key representatives of comparative and intercultural philosophy dealing with the elemental and natural philosophy of ancient India and Greece.

Abstract:
Ever since Jesuits were first allowed to stay in China in 1583, persecutions against them have never been ceased. Some of them were initiated due to their as foreigners while others were directly targeted their identities as Catholic missionaries. In such anti-Catholic persecutions, Catholicism was particularly accused and depicted as a heterodox teaching and was therefore classified into the same category with other traditional Chinese heterodox teachings like the White Lotus Sect, the Non-Action Sect, and so forth. This is actually a very strange, yet interesting phenomenon given the fact that Catholicism and traditional Chinese heterodoxy teachings share almost nothing in common whether in terms of doctrines, organization patterns or cultural backgrounds. Based on the research conducted by Barend ter Haar on the White Lotus Teaching tradition that the heterodox teachings in China represented by the White Lotus Sect is nothing but a political construction, which has no relevance to its actual religious beliefs, this paper aims at a detailed analysis on the process of the construction of the heterodox-teaching-image of Catholicism in the Ming China through a thorough study on the three labels that are repeatedly employed by anti-Catholic official-scholars, which are “assembling at night and dispersing at dawn”, “men and women indiscriminately mingling together”, and “sorcerers and sorcery-performing” respectively. Besides, the necessity and significance of the construction of the heterodox-teaching-image of Catholicism in the anti-Catholic persecutions will also be elaborated.

Abstract:
The Sempalan sect taught by Abah Pal Lima has been developing for a long time, with a number of followers of more than seven thousand people scattered across different regions, and its teachings do not have a handbook. People are interested in this teaching because they have advantages such as alternative medicine and other magic powers. Throughout his teachings, he also believes in the presence of God, who has different qualities but does not believe in the foundations of faith and the pillars of Islam. So do not believe in the existence of gods, prophets, holy books (the Koran) as well as the question of taqdir, and there is no duty to worship and not to make prayers, fasting, zakat and pilgrimages. He assumed that besides him and his followers, they were considered heretics and would go to hell. This teaching gives priority to mental problems and believes that they are "inner people" who are in "culture" rather than "born" people in "the world." This is their reason for not carrying out the obligations ordered by Allah Almighty. The teachings of Abah Pal Lima is strongly influenced by the teachings of tasawuf wahdat al-wujud (unity of being) which was developed by Ibn Arabi, because it discusses the problem of Nur Muhammad and in humans, there is an element of divinity in addition to the element of being (al-Haq and al-Khalq). It is also influenced by the teachings of al-Farabi on the principle of emanation or delegation. The teaching of Abah Pal Lima was heretically rejected by the Banjarmasin City Ulema Council on 06 Jumadil Awwal 1439 A.D./23 January 2018 AD with a letter-number. 004/DPK-MUI / Bjm/1/1/2018, since the contents of the teachings, are in accordance with the ten criteria for heresy according to the MUI.
