A scientific and technical article, as a paper highlighting the results obtained by the authors, represents some «final chord» in scientific and production activities. The process of preparing and publishing scientific and technical articles is a specific area of scientific activity being regulated by both certain stylistic canons and a set of normative documentation. For novice authors who do not have a linguistic and legal basis, for example, engineering and technical specialists in the oil and gas industry, it is sometimes quite difficult to take into account all the nuances and ensure high

Abstract:
This annotated bibliography identifies and summarizes sixteen current articles portraying the technical writer. Despite the abundance of literature on the subject of technical communication, there is scant literature that describes and humanizes the technical writers—the skills they value, products they produce, roles they play, or industries they serve. The sixteen articles listed here, all published since 1980, paint a picture which may be of use to practitioners, students, educators, authors, and researchers.

The necessity of adding structural markup to the corpus of scientifc and technical texts has been shown. Abstract:
Very few articles exist that document technical communication in Hungary. My Fulbright research reveals two general points: First, technical communication pedagogy stresses correct use of professional terms and phrases in technical translations or technical articles for fictional audiences. Second, it does not emphasize the importance of specifying target audiences in students’ work; similarly, Hungarian companies, perhaps driven by oral culture in communication, do not target at any specific audiences in written communication. In this respect, education and practice seems to shape each other.
