Abstract:
Equity risk premium contains the property of reflecting the fundamental judgments of individuals regarding risk that might exists in the economic market and the price associated with that risk. For ERP forecasting, attention is also devoted to technical indicators apart from the macro-economic variables. A set of 14 technical and 14 macro-economic variables is selected for this purpose and based on a standard predictive regression framework; all forecasts are generated by regressing ERP on a constant and a lag of macro-economic or technical indicator. It is found that as compared to macro-economic variables technical indicators provide better indications about ERP estimates. By using National Bureau of Economic Research (NBER) data of business cycle expansion and recessions, relative strength of ERP predictability is also investigated and it is found more than twice for recessions as compare to expansions.

Abstract:
Subject. The article analyzes development trends in certain types of service robots, namely, hybrid UAVs, bionic prosthetic hands, robotic vacuum cleaners. Objectives. We focus on identifying the main trends in the development of certain types of service robots, building dynamic models of their technical indicators and models of dependence of their price and weight on absolute characteristics and technical parameters. Methods. The study employs methods of correlation and multiple regression analysis. The data of the IFR, the Remotely Piloted Aircraft System, and websites of robot manufacturers serve as the informational basis of the paper. Results. The modeling unveils positive correlation between the integrated indicator of the technical level of hybrid UAVs of convertiplane type and the wingspan. The analysis of modern bionic prosthetic hands shows that the developers focus on optimizing the structure of the prosthetic, however, as the functions of the hand improve, the weight of bionic hand increases. The main factors influencing the price of robot vacuum cleaners are their power, weight, and operating hours. Conclusions. The unit price of a complex indicator of the technical level of hybrid UAVs is lower than the corresponding indicator of fixed-wing UAVs, reflecting a greater efficiency of hybrid UAVs. The analysis of technical indicators of robotic prosthetics (using the case of bionic hands) shows that any improvement of functional characteristics leads to deterioration of weight. The analysis of technical and economic indicators of robotic vacuum cleaners reveals a positive correlation between the price and weight, operating hours and power.

Abstract:
The purpose of the research of this scientific work is to assess the possibilities of development of farms in modern conditions, as well as to find out the problems and prospects of farms in Ukraine. Method. Farming is a form of entrepreneurial activity of citizens with or without the creation of a legal entity who have expressed a desire to produce marketable agricultural products, process and sell them in order to make a profit on land provided for family farming. An important role in the production of agricultural products is now given to farms that have actually become full-fledged entities in the agrarian diversified economy, have passed their first stage of formation and formation. The presence of a large number of large producers, problems of organization and location of wholesale markets, insufficient population of rural areas, inadequate level of resource supply – all this determines the specifics of the competitive environment in which farms operate. The task of development of farms in Ukraine requires the study of the peculiarities of their activities, analysis of the current stage of functioning of farms, identifying obstacles to their development and outlining areas for improvement of their activities. This is what determines the relevance of this article. Results. The scales and tendencies of development of farms in Ukraine, their place among other agricultural producers, including in the context of regions of Ukraine are analyzed. The main indicators of their activity are described. It is confirmed that despite the large number of farms, their place in the agricultural economy of Ukraine still remains insignificant. The main organizational and economic problems of farm development in Ukraine have been identified, which are related to the lack of equity, conditions for free access to credit, as well as the inadequate ratio between prices for technical equipment and agricultural products. The position of farms in the world is revealed. Scientific novelty and practical significance. The development of farming as a priority form of agricultural farms is shown. A number of measures for the development of farms are proposed. The advantages of farms over personal farms and over agricultural enterprises are given. Problems and prospects of farming in Ukraine are revealed.

Abstract:
The study evaluates the economic feasibility of technical analysis in the Indian stock market. It discusses that technical indicators do not outperform Simple Buy and Hold strategy on net return basis for individual stocks. Technical indicators seem to do better during market upturns compared to market downturns. However, technical based trading strategies are not feasible vis-à-vis passive strategy irrespective of market cycle conditions. Technical indicators also do not provide economically significant profit for industry as well as economy based data. Combining fundamentals with technical information, we find, that technical indicators are more profitable for small stocks compared to big stocks and for high value stocks compared to low value stocks. However, the economic feasibility of fundamentals' based technical strategies is still questionable. Our results seem to confirm with the efficient market hypothesis.

Abstract:
AbstractThis paper is concerned with early cost estimation of sport facilities. Sufficiently precise cost estimation is essential for investors in the pre-investment stage where they decide on whether to pursue an investment and choose a suitable technical solution for the development of the project. Through a detailed analysis of the technical and economic documentation pertaining to seven sport facilities projects assembled using concrete prefabricated beam parts, as well as evaluation of the data thus obtained, three types of technical-economic indicators were set in relation to the enclosed building area, the number of spectator seats and the sports playing area. The results achieved indicate that evaluation of relations between these three indicators could contribute to a more effective use of investment funding on the part of the investor. Other conclusions include the finding that available indicators published by private companies active in the area of construction budgeting are not sufficiently accurate for the purposes of investment decision-making; specifically, these indicators greatly overestimate the costs of sport facilities, which can potentially lead to these projects being rejected. This contribution brings know-how for a more accurate early cost estimation of sport facilities in the Czech Republic which can, thanks to a generally applicable methodology, be used in other countries as well.

Background. The article discusses the formalization of performance indicators of a multiservice network management system based on the use of hybrid neural-fuzzy technology that combines the advantages of fuzzy logic and neural networks. A developed fuzzy neural model was subsequently used to make a decision about the transfer of real time streams through the channel of the multi-servo network. Methods for assessing the effectiveness of multiservice communication networks can be conditionally divided into three large groups: technical, economic and technical and economic. As the technical characteristics of the efficiency of the computer network, various indicators of network performance and reliability are used. Estimates of the costs of designing, installing and maintaining the network are used as economic characteristics. Technical and economic indicators are used for a comprehensive assessment of the project, and include various combinations of technical and economic characteristics. The response time is an integral performance characteristic, the most important for the network subscriber.

Aggregated technical and economic indicators and facilities coefficient in the building industryBudgetary indicators, such as technical-economic indicators, are valuation tools commonly used in assessing indicative costs in civil engineering. Their applications are used across the professional construction spectrum, from preparation of the investment process to checking implementation of the construction, in the banking, insurance and property value estimation systems. The catalogues of specific financial indicators may have significant differences between them. These differences can result from different ways of processing the catalogues. As a result of the differences, situations may occur in practice in which a disparity pertains between the values obtained and the effect of the results of planning, implementation, monitoring or other activities related to the buildings.

Abstract:
City growth and its resulted environmental issues are promoting a citywide application of sustainable steel structures. However, designers and constructors often hold conflicting perspectives on the sustainable construction of steel structures, which has been identified as a barrier to achieve sustainability in this area. Given that the existing sustainability indicator systems of steel structures are either design-oriented or construction-driven, this study aims to develop a new one by synthesizing both designers’ and contractors’ opinions in the development of such indicators. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to identify potential indicators. A questionnaire survey was then used to collect the viewpoints of designers and constructors on the identified indicators. Finally, a fuzzy set algorithm and hierarchical clustering were employed to detect the indicators’ relationships. The results present a three-dimensional indicator system composed of social-technical sustainability, greenness, and economic sustainability. Furthermore, it is found that designers and constructors have discrepant opinions on social-technical sustainability and greenness, while their views on economic sustainability are similar. The research findings provide managerial hints to the attainment of sustainable steel structures and enhance stakeholders’ understanding of design-and-construction integration in steel structure projects.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to develop a methodological approach to the problem of a quantitative assessment of the technical level (technical excellence) of geostationary telecommunication satellites (GTS). The technical level indicator is a quantitative measure for assessing the perfection of the design of a product and the quality of products (services) produced with its use. This is an important technical and economic indicator of experimental design work. The value of the technical level indicator is one of the determining factors in the competitiveness of the created space system. The paper discusses the existing methodological approaches to the quantitative assessment of the technical level of science-intensive and technically complex products. We present a new approach to determine the composition of technical performance markers for calculating the GTS technical level indicator allowing a formal description of the beneficial effect and a logical scheme for quantifying the technical level. The methodological approach to calculate the degree of influence of technical efficiency indicators on the value of the beneficial effect of the use of GTS is stated as well. It is based on a mathematical model of the hierarchy analysis introduced by T. Saaty, complemented by us with mathematical models for the best consideration of GTS technical features. It allowed us to ensure control of errors and contradictions in expert judgments involved in the preparation of initial data of unmeasurable or hardly measurable techno-economic indicators of GTS. Due to the higher level of formalization of the process of quantifying the technical level and the application of mathematical methods used in modern decision theory, the developed methodological approach serves to improve the quality of calculations significantly and to reduce the influence of the subjective factor in determining the value of the technical level indicator. Based on the above, we developed a method for quantitative assessment of the GTS technical level that meets the modern requirements.

Abstract:
Based on the analysis of modern literature, the paper clarifies the concepts of readiness and readiness for professional activity. The considered concepts made it possible to identify criteria for technical university students readiness for future professional activity. The formulated criteria made it possible to determine students readiness indicators for future professional activities. A rating assessment of the students mathematical competence and the gross scientific product of the university were selected as indicators of readiness. The choice of these indicators is justified using statistical data of the Samara Region: gross regional product and the ratio of the selected industry wage to the average wage. The demand for technical university graduates labor is a function of the real wage rate. The results of the correlation analysis prove that the technical university graduates readiness for professional activity has a significant effect on the regional economic development degree, which affects the degree of social-economic development. The study was conducted on the basis of Samara State Technical University. The work presents pedagogical conditions for the organization of the educational process for the development of technical university students readiness for professional activity. The obtained materials can be used as the basis for further refinement of students readiness indicators for professional activities and in the content of the training.

Abstract:
The aim of the article is to substantiate the possibility of using the performance indicator designed according to the author’s methodology along with other indicators characterizing functioning of socio-economic systems. The performance indicator is defined as the ratio of normalized and standardized actual results to expected values which are calculated by the model of the relationship of effective signs and state and impact factors. The model is a production function, whose parameters can be defined by factor analysis of dependencies. To substantiate the presented indicator the author carries out a comparative analysis of its statistical dependence with the indicators of technical efficiency calculated using the stochastic boundary method. The paper considers 12 different variants which differ in the type of distributing the random component, which characterizes the inefficiency of the system; methods of calculating technical efficiency, as well as the presentation of data (pooled and panel data). As a basic model, the power multiplicative model in the form of Cobb-Douglas is used, which includes the volume of gross regional product, the cost of fixed assets, the average annual number of employees in economy and the cost of technological innovation taking into account inflation. The information base of the research is data on regions of the Central Federal district for 2007–2016. For the considered variants the relationships between the proposed performance indicator and other indicators considered were statistically significant, which gives reason to use it as a private indicator for analyzing functioning of socio-economic systems. The performance indicator can be used as a tool to analyze and compare functioning of socio-economic systems operating in different conditions.

Abstract:
Traditional automatic control systems do not solve the task of limiting the harmful effects of technical objects on the environment. The problem is to increase the effectiveness of means of its protection against the harmful effects of industry. Relevant is the use of indicators of environmental performance of technical objects as controlled parameters. A new approach to the control of technical objects is proposed. As the main control parameter it proposed to adopt the level of their ecological efficiency. Complicating circumstances of solving the problem is the insufficient knowledge of the factors of harmful effects on objects of living nature, their intensity, interrelation, mechanism, strength, and dynamics of exposure. Improving the economic efficiency of technical objects leads to an increase in their ecological efficiency. The solution to the problem is facilitated by the fact that traditional ACS should be left in action, adding to them an ecological efficiency control component. Heat-powerengineering has a large impact on the environment through emissions and discharges of harmful substances and heat. To give to ASC the functions of controlling the ecological efficiency of the boiler (for SOy emission), it is necessary to apply an additional, new control loop - regulator of SOy concentration in furnace gases. An urgent task in the use of direct control of the ecological efficiency of boiler-furnace systems is the development and production of physical quantity sensors, reflecting the level of aggressiveness of the source of hazard, working in real time. Direct control of indicators of ecological efficiency is much easier in other branches of industry, in particular, in its food branch, where objects do not have a large-scale complex negative impact on the environment.

Abstract:
The technical and economic indicators of introduction of new type of smoothing reactors are calculated considering the features of the operating conditions of traction power supply systems of direct current 3,5 kV. Based on the data provided by operating and installation organizations, an assessment was made of cost indicators of catenary system repairs. The main financial items were formed, on the basis of which the calculation of net income and net present value was carried out in order to determine the payback period of inv estment costs. The payback period based on the calculations (a little more than three years for equipment related to fixed assets with an assigned service life of twenty-five years) indicates a high level of investment attractiveness of a new type of smoothing reactor. The suggested method allows calculations using a large number of physical and operational parameters that affect the economic performance of the device.

Abstract:
The paper analyzes the waste recovery methods. The comparison of the recovery and processing technologies of solid domestic waste is made. The most effective technologies are proposed from the point of view of ecology, specific capital investments, profitability. Analysis of the research results showed that the pyrolysis technology for the neutralization and recovery of domestic waste is the best according to technical and economic and environmental indicators. The calculation of the economic pay-back is carried out using the example of the waste recovery plant construction by the pyrolysis method in the Arkhangelsk region. The calculation took into account all costs associated with the construction and operation of the plant, including capital investments, maintenance and removal of waste, as well as their storage. At the same time, the item of income was formed both at the expense of obligatory of the Arkhangelsk region resident payments for the domestic waste removal, and at the expense of additional financial revenues from electricity and secondary resources (slag, pyrolysis oil, pyro-gas) generated during the recovery process. The project payback period was 7.8 years.

Abstract:
The aim of this study was to analyze technical and economic indicators of family milk production systems, with different technology levels, in the Caiuá sandstone area in Northwestern Paraná, Brazil. The analysis period covers the agricultural years 2002/2003 to 2013/2014. The categorization of the milk production systems was based on information from agricultural farms monitored by the Reference Network for Family Agriculture. The cost-benefit analysis method was used for the economic assessment of milk production. Based on the results, three family milk production systems were identified in the region, characterized by the use of low, medium and high intensification technologies for pasture management. The production costs per unit area were found to be higher in the system with high technology and lower in the system with low technology. However, although the total revenue in the production system with a high technological intensification is greater than in the other systems, the capital needed for a technological transition is higher. In all the systems, when the costs were deducted, including the return on family labor, there was a profit, even with the climate and soil constraints inherent in the region.

Abstract:
The development of processing organizations in a changing environment requires constant updating of approaches to assessing the processes of their economic activity, including the knowledge of methods and tools for analyzing the technical component of a business. As the main analysis tool, special techniques are usually used based on a certain sequence of calculation of analytical units. Existing approaches to the business analysis of fixed assets are based on level terminology and provide fragmented methodological procedures that include complexes of traditional, rather than key indicator systems. Considering the peculiarities of the dialectical methodological postulate of the transition of quantity into quality and taking into account the process nature of the subject of business analysis, it is advisable to develop an algorithm for methodological procedures for evaluating the technical component of the economic activity of organizations processing agricultural raw materials; justify the possibility of taking advantage of the comparative approach to algorithmization; identify meaningful relationships between the attributive properties of static and dynamic key performance indicators. Using the proclaimed targets, a five-stage business analysis algorithm for the technical component of the economic activity of sugar production entities has been formed, taking into account the specific features of these processing organizations. The distinguishing features of the developed algorithm is the ranking of key indicators, organizations themselves and periods of assessment. The selection of key indicators was carried out on the basis of the systemic method and cost approach, the combination of which makes it possible to ensure the fulfillment of the requirements of reliability and accuracy. Recommended business analytical procedures systematically cover the entire process of movement of fixed assets in organizations, which allows us to eliminate existing gaps in the formation of an information base for evaluating the technical component and identify benchmark areas for making proactive management decisions in terms of mobilizing all the possibilities for the intensive use of fixed assets organizations.
