The single-firm school is concerned with governance principles related to internal organisational projects and practice these principles at a technical level. Among the meritorious figures that develop the illuminative thought initiated by Suhrawardi is Shadr al-Dîn al-Shirazi, also known as Mulla Sadra. He is well known with his thought of al-Hikmah al-Muta'âliyyah or transcendent theosophy, an effort of harmonizing revelation, gnosis, and philosophy. He inflame an idea where the logic buried in the sea of light gnosis. He called the synthesis—one that he considered to be the particular basis of three major paths to truth for man, namely: revelation (wahy or shar'), intellection ('aql), and mystical vission (Kashf)—as al-Hikmah al-Muta‘âliyyah or t

AbstractThis paper explores an application of Catholic theology to mitigate the current destruction of God's creation underway due to global climate destabilization. Specifically it describes the possibility of the U.S. Catholic Church adopting a systematic plan to catalyze the world energy market to shift to solar photovoltaic energy, a non-polluting renewable energy source. The science behind the ecological crisis and climate change in the context of the Catholic basis for environmental stewardship is summarized to provide a moral foundation for the plan. Then, the viability and ramification

When opened the package from Pacific Conservation Biology and looked at the book that I was to do my first review on, my first thought was "What have I got myself into". I was looking at a collection of papers that were written by experts in various fields, of which I knew nothing about. As I prepared to slog through all the technical information about networks and social interactions, I realized that this was not just a collection of technical papers, but a well-constructed look at how the Internet has and will affect the way conservation occurs across the globe over the next few decades.

Youth violence is a significant public health issue in Thailand where most people who are injured are vocational college students. There is a need to identify methods whereby such violence can be prevented. We trialed a group program in a technical college in Thailand with 23 students who received a modified version of aggression replacement training. We then compared their results with those of 24 students who did not receive any intervention or preintervention at 1 and 3 month followups. Although we found little evidence supporting the effectiveness of the intervention, participants in the i

The interest in earthbag dome construction (also known as earthbag or superadobe) has been increasing as world consciousness develops to achieve the planet’s equilibrium for sustainable living. The main objective of this research is to develop a parametric tool to help architects modeling virtual earthbag domes from ideation to construction phase. This challenge has been addressed by adopting an experimental methodology that explores parametric generative design with the use of a visual programming language (VPL).
