Abstract:
Level of technical efficiency in fish culture reflecting the fish farmers achievement correlated to their managerial competency to manage the principle factors affecting its productivity. Objectives of this research were to evaluate technical efficiency in grouper growth out as well as its policy implication. This research was conducted in Lampung Province during September to December 2002. The area was selected by purposive sampling in Padang Cermin Sub district, South Lampung, and the respondent of farmers were selected by census method. The results showed that the average of technical efficiency level achieved by grouper farmers in floating net cages should be classified in middle to high categories with relatively homogen distribution. Principle factors affecting the technical efficiency was level of income from farming fish culture. As the technical efficiency level closed to the frontier, policy of culture development should be conducted using area-based extensive culture approach and should applicate imperative and innovative technologies.

Das präzise sowie wirtschaftliche Bearbeiten geschieht daher vorwiegend mit Schleifverfahren. Die Ultraschallunterstützung kann die Produktivität von Schleifprozessen erhöhen. In-Prozess-Messungen der Ultraschallamplitude sollen Aufschluss über die Wechselwirkungen von Werkstück und Werkzeug geben.   Due to improved toughness and material-specific high hardness of technical ceramics, the machining of these brittle-hard materials is challenging. Therefore, precise and economical processing is mainly done by grinding. Ultrasonic support can increase the productivity of grinding processes. In-process measurement of ultrasonic amplitudes provides information about the interaction between the workpiece and the tool.

Abstract:
Different products are produced by JSC “Palemono keramika” including brick and tile using Kertupis clay. This clay contains very small amounts of iron (III) oxide and a lot of fine break-up carbonates. Therefore the colour of clay body is lightly red. Often this colour does not satisfy the customers, especially restorers. The clay body colour improved by introducing various pigments in which the colouring oxides of Fe, Cr, Mn, Co predominate. Unfortunately, these oxides are very expensive and their use increases the production costs. The aim of this work was the investigation of possibilities to apply waste materials for colouring a clay body and to study physical and mechanical properties of the clay samples coloured by waste materials. It was established that for clay mass prepared by pouring dross or dry method the best colouring effect is reached introducing ca 7% of waste water sludge of JSC “Dzūkijos vandenys”. Such amounts of colouring materials only slightly change the properties of the ceramic samples. The density decreases by ca 100 kg/m3, the general shrinkage increases by 1% and the compressive strength by 15%. When the clay mass is prepared by a plastic paste method it is recommended to use a catalyst of iron-chromium CTK-2. Before use the catalyst must be ground in wet, filtrated and dried out. The Kertupis clay can be coloured in rich red colour by adding 30% of Dukstyna clay or 3–5% of the red pigment. The brown colour of the Kertupis clay can be obtained by introducing 3–5% of the technical MnO2.

Abstract:
Fish culture in floating net cages can be done through monoculture and polyculture systems. Those systems have been carried out technically by farmers in Tanjung Marthaalfons Ambon Bay. The development of fish culture business does not only pay attention to technical issues, but also the level of fish mortality and operational costs. Thus, this business needs to be evaluated financially. Through survey, the data was collected from key informants, and analyzed in qualitative and quantitative descriptive method. The result shows that fish farming business with floating net cages in Tanjung Marthaalfons Ambon Bay in financially feasible to be developed. When the income is compared to regional minimum wage of Maluku, fish culture business with polyculture system is more profitable because the income is above the regional minimum wage value of Rp. 3,645,698 / month. The value of return on investment and revenue cost ratio of fish culture with polyculture systems is higher than monoculture systems, and its payback period is faster than monoculture systems.

Abstract:
The consideration of the relationship between pottery studies and the application of hard sciences in archaeology includes the scrutiny of the importance of pottery studies in the history of archaeology as a discipline, and especially the differences in the approach to material culture between European and North American researchers. After modest beginnings during the 19th century, petrographic analyses were introduced into ceramology during the first decades of the 20th century, mainly thanks to the works of Anna Shepard. She was one of the initiators of the first conference on the ceramic technology, held as early as 1938. For archaeology in general, it is significant to note that the beginning of pottery studies, stressing the importance of social anthropology as well as the application of hard science methods, markedly predates the expansion of processual archaeology.It is also vital to explore certain tensions and differences in approaches to ceramics, exiting today as the consequence of polarization inside archaeology, among researchers primarily leaning upon natural sciences, and the ones regarding material culture as the product of cultural processes. Archaeometry is widely applicable in ceramology, above all in identifying the pottery recipes, raw material provenance, firing regimes, and many other aspects that are the consequences of various cultural practices. Maybe paradoxically, the researchers leaning towards natural sciences have most frequently embraced the concept of technological choices, presupposing that every human activity is the consequence of social relations, leading artisans to choose one of several technical possibilities, depending upon social norms. On the other hand, ethno-archaeological research relativizes to a certain extent the “solid” and unambiguous results of natural sciences, more readily accepting the concept of technological style, i.e. considering the socially influenced technological traditions. The concept of archaeological biomarkers, i.e. research into the remains of organic matters on ceramic vessels, indicates the differences between the scientistically oriented European archaeology, as opposed to the North American, dominated by the anthropological dimension of research, and pottery is not treated as a mere source of data, but as an object of research in its own right. An additional difficulty in pottery studies is presented by the essential misunderstanding between archaeologists and natural scientists, also present in Serbia. We are still faced with the insufficient knowledge of possibilities of analytical techniques. On the other hand, the majority of research is conducted by the natural scientists, resulting in one-sided or multidisciplinary outcomes, and interdisciplinary studies are extremely rare. At the same time, although with exceptional possibilities, natural sciences applied to the research into the past are not infallible, and have been criticized on several levels, concerning the issues of raw material provenance, as well as identifying the remains of organic material on pottery vessels. Interdisciplinarity should undoubtedly be considered as an advantage in archaeological research, but we should bear in mind that the aim of pottery studies is the understanding of people and processes in the past, so the ultimate responsibility of interpretation rests upon archaeologists. For this very reason, they are obliged to understand the advantages as well as limitations of analytic techniques, and above all to formulate the theoretical framework, research topics and hypotheses.

Ikan mas merupakan salah satu ikan hasil budidaya dalam Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA)terbanyak di Jawa Barat. Pada tahun 2012 produksi ikan jenis ini sebesar 93.080 ton atau 48% daritotal produksi budidaya. Waduk Cirata merupakan salah satu badan air dengan produksi ikan mas yangcukup besar. Namun biaya produksi yang meningkat dan tidak efisiennya penggunaan input produksi,mengakibatkan terjadi penurunan margin keuntungan para pembudidaya tersebut. Salah satu cara yangbisa ditempuh oleh pembudidaya untuk meningkatkan keuntungan adalah dengan cara minimisasi biaya(cost minimization) dari input produksi (pakan, benih dan tenaga kerja), sehingga diperoleh kombinasiinput produksi dengan biaya terendah dengan produksi ikan yang optimal. Hasil analisis efisiensi unitusaha budidaya KJA di waduk Cirata dengan menggunakan pendekatan DEA menunjukkan bahwa hanyaada 4 % DMU yang fully efficient. Sedangkan dari hasil analisis minimisasi biaya melalui pendekatanShephard Lemma adalah diperoleh kombinasi input yang optimal untuk pakan sebesar 23.459,99 kg,benih ikan sebesar 556,62 kg, dan tenaga kerja sebesar 424,18 HKP, untuk satu unit usaha (4 petak)selama satu tahun. Biaya yang bisa dikurangi setiap tahun dengan menggunakan kombinasi input yangoptimal adalah sebesar Rp. 3.418.152,05.Title: Technical Efficiency and Input Optimization of Common Carp Cultureon Floating Net Cage in CirataCommon Carp Culture with Floating Net Cage (KJA) method in West Java Province has the highestproduction among the other species. It is more or less accounted for 48 % of common carp productionof West Java Province yield from KJA method. Cirata is one of the inland water, with high-yielding Carpon KJA. Problems faced by fish farmers in Cirata is continuous price increases, which cause a declinein their profits. To maximize the profits, this paper will analyzed the cost minimizing factor input (feed,fry and labor), in order to determine the best combination of factor input to produce given output withlowest cost, using Sheppard’s Lemma method. More over efficiency analysis using Data EnvelopmentAnalysis was also conducted. the result of cost minimization by means of Sheppard’s Lemma showsthe optimal input combination for one KJA unit were 23,459.99 kg for feed, 556.62 kg for fry and 424.18HKP for labor. Fish farmer could decrease their production cost for about Rp. 3,418,152.05 by using thecombination of optimal input. Efficiency analysis shows that only 4 % DMU’s were fully efficient.

Up today in Europe there is no unanimous opinion which method is necessary for a correct assessment of roof ceramic tile frost resistance corresponding to the climatic conditions of application. Even the latest EU standards offer four methods of the assessment of the frost resistance for roof ceramic tile. Those standards refer to investigations carried out in various West Europe countries. Aluminosilicate laboratories of Vilnius Pedagogical University by cooperating with Erlangen-Nurenberg University and Riga Technical University have carried out investigation of roof ceramic tile frost resistance by applying two different methods (three-side and one-side freezing-thawing). Besides, deformations under one-side freezing-thawing and others physical-mechanical indices of the ceramic tile were investigated. Referring to the results of investigation of tiles manufactured by CO Lode (Latvia) and CO “Palemono keramika” (Lithuania), we have proved that three-side freezing-thawing method is erroneous for estimating frost resistance of the roof ceramic tile. Research of frost resistance of roof tile and brick is carried out at three research institutes. Tiles were tested using one-side and three-side (volume) freezing. In addition, rapid frost resistance evaluation method was determined using deformation measurement under cyclic frost-thawing process, textures and water adsorption, saturation coefficient under boiling conditions or vacuum environment of the samples tested. One-side freezing-thawing method using water or artificial rain for thawing of samples was determined as the mostly suitable testing method. Distribution of sizes of pores and capillars was determined as not tightly bound. The equations 2 and 4 indicate the possibility to forecast frost resistance of roof tile by two physical parameters: deformation size and water coefficient saturation in vacuum. Frost resistance of solid brick in one-sided freezing-method corresponds to the service conditions in brick walls better than for roof tile. Rapid forecast of frost resistance of solid brick is possible by the use of four physical parameters according to equation 5.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan input produksi terhadap hasil produksi, juga mengestimasi tingkat efisiensi penggunaan input produksi pada budidaya penggemukan kepiting bakau di Kabupaten Pangkep. Pada penelitian ini, teknik pengambilan sampel adalah sensus, yaitu petani pembudidaya penggemukan kepiting sebagai responden. Analisis data menggunakan Stochastic Production Frontier yang penyelesaiannya dengan bantuan program LIMDEP versi 6. Hasil estimasi menunjukkan dengan menggunakan fungsi produksi frontier bahwa variabel bebas yang signifikan berpengaruh positif terhadap produksi kepiting adalah luas keramba, jumlah benih dan jumlah pakan. Analisis terhadap Efisiensi Teknis (ET) rata-rata sebesar 0,94986. nilai tersebut dapat dikatakan sebagai prestasi atas kinerja penggunaan input produksi yang sangat memuaskan (mendekati 1), namun disisi lain kesempatan untuk melakukan pengembangan relatif sempit sehingga perlu upaya ekstensifikasi. Nilai R/C rasio sebesar 1,9516, artinya bahwa budidaya penggemukan kepiting bakau masih menguntungkan sehingga layak untuk dikembangkan. His study aimed to analyze the effect of the use of inputs to production, also estimate the efficiency of use of production inputs in the cultivation of mangrove crab fattening in Pangkep. In this study, the sampling technique is the census that farmers crab fattening farmers as respondents. Analysis of data using Stochastic Production Frontier settlement with the help of the program LIMDEP version 6. The estimation results show using frontier production function that the independent variables were significant positive effect on the production of crab is spacious cages, seed number and amount of feed. Analysis of the Technical Efficiency (ET) by an average of 0.94986. The value can be regarded as the achievement of the performance use of production inputs very satisfying (approaching 1), but on the other hand the opportunity to develop a relatively narrow so that extending the necessary efforts. Rated R / C ratio of 1.9516, it means that the cultivation of mangrove crab fattening still profitable so as to develop.

AbstrakEmbung adalah bekas galian tanah liat dari penambangan di PT. Semen Indonesia yang dimanfaatkan oleh warga sekitar sebagai sumber pengairan pada kegiatan dan tempat budidaya ikan dengan sistem Keramba Jaring Apung (KJA). Tujuan Penelitian ini untuk melakukan kajian teknis faktor abiotik embung bekas galian tanah liat PT. Semen Indonesia untuk budidaya perikanan dengan teknologi KJA. Metode penelitian menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pengumpulan data survei yang dianalisa menggunakan WQI min dengan data diperoleh berupa kualitas air (suhu, pH, DO dan kecerahan). Hasil penelitian suhu pagi hari pada ke empat titik pengambilan sampel berkisar 32,3 – 32,7°C dan siang hari berkisar 32,7 - 33°C(kurang layak), pH pagi hari 8 – 8,1 siang hari 7,9 – 8 (layak), dissolved oxygen (DO) pagi hari 5,6 – 6,2 ppm, siang hari 6,1 – 6,7 ppm (layak) dan kecerahan pagi hari 69,6 – 78.7 cm, siang hari 61,6 – 77 cm (layak) dengan mengacu pada standar kualitas air PP No. 82 Tahun 2001 dan BBPBAT (2010). Berdasarkan hasil analisa faktor abiotik tersebut, maka direkomendasikan jenis ikan nila dapat dibudidayakan di embung bekas galian semen dengan teknologi KJA. AbstractEmbung is a former excavation of clay from mining at PT. Semen Indonesia is used by local residents as a source of irrigation in activities and fish farming sites using the floating net cage system (KJA). The purpose of this study was to conduct a technical study of abiotic factors used for clay excavation of PT. Semen Indonesia for aquaculture with KJA technology. The research method used the descriptive method with survey data collection analyzed using WQI min with data obtained in the form of water quality (temperature, pH, DO and brightness). The results of the morning temperature study at the four sampling points ranged from 32.3 - 32.7C and daytime ranged from 32.7 - 33 ° C (less feasible), morning pH 8 - 8.1 during the day 7.9 - 8 (feasible), dissolved oxygen (DO) in the morning 5.6 - 6.2 ppm, daytime 6.1 - 6.7 ppm (feasible) and morning brightness 69.6 - 78.7 cm, daytime 61, 6 - 77 cm (feasible) with reference to water quality standards PP No. 82 of 2001 and BBPBAT (2010). Based on the results of the analysis of the abiotic factor, it is recommended that the type of tilapia can be cultivated in used cement excavated ponds with KJA technology.

The master’s thesis deals with the topic of electrical discharge machining. The first part of the thesis contains a study of the die-sinking EDM. The die-sinking EDM of the silicon carbide ceramic is realized in the experimental part of the thesis. The result of this work was to explore the influence of the EDM sinking parameters, specifically pulse current, open-voltage and pulse on-time, on the machined surface. Furthermore, the analysis of the tool electrode was made. This analysis was focused on the wear in the corners, which has key influence on accuracy of the machining. The machining time was also examined.

Abstract:
The presented diploma thesis deals with the issue of wire electrical discharge machining of SiSiC ceramics. The first part explains the principles of electrical discharge machining, describes the WEDM technology and presents the properties of the advanced ceramics. The second part consists of a detailed analysis of the cutting process of eighteen samples obtained with systematically changing process parameters. Based on the obtained results from EDX analysis, SEM electron microscopy and topography there was performed an analysis of the influence of process parameters on the cutting speed, surface roughness, kerf width and number of wire breaks with usage of the selected brass cutting wire. From the evaluated results it was possible to select a combination of parameters that ensured a stable machining process.

The present work deals with the design and manufacturing of 3D structures in LTCC (Low Temperatue Cofired Ceramics) technology. To use this technology LTCC workplaces have been designed and technological processes for high quality reproducible production were suggested. Technological possibilities of low temperature co-fired ceramics were demonstrated in the design and manufacturing of pressure sensors, electrode systems for ozone generators, planar circuit elements (coils and transformers) and in the design a special package for middle-power terahertz modulator. Design of selected parts of respective devices was proved by simulations in COMSOL Multiphysics. The work provides new insights into the structure of power integrated circuits sleeves and structure of electrode systems for different types of electrical discharges. Results of this work can contribute significantly in the application of planar circuit elements, in the development of different types of sensors, in the design of atypical types of packaging or in the design of electrode systems for capacitive coupled electrical discharges.

Das Verlangen nach neuen Materialien mit Eigenschaften, die noch vor zwanzig Jahren für die Wissenschaft und Industrie unerreichbar waren, hat neue Perspektiven für die technische Keramik eröffnet. Auf Grund niedriger Aufheizraten und hohem Beschädigungsrisiko der Probe, ist das Entbindern das schwierigste und vor allem ein sehr teueres Verfahren. Im Rahmen dieser Arbeit wird eine mathematische Beschreibung des Entbinderungs-Prozesses geliefert und verschiedene Bindersysteme auf die Möglichkeit ihres Einsatzes bei MW-unterstütztem Entbindern von Keramiken untersucht. Um die rechnerischen Aussagen zu überprüfen, wurde eine Reihe von Versuchen in der auf dem thermogravimetrischen Prinzip basierenden Anlage zum Entbindern von Keramik durchgeführt. Aus den Versuchsergebnissen wurden Schlussfolgerungen gezogen und mit theoretischen Aussagen verglichen.

Nowadays, nanostructures fixed on solid substrates and colloidal nanoparticles permeate through all areas of human life, in area of sensors and detection as well. This dissertation thesis deals with the fabrication of nanostructures on the surface of planar electrodes via self-ordered nanoporous template of aluminum trioxide. The nanofabrication, as one of many possible techniques, is used to increase the active surface area of electrodes by creating unique surface types with specific properties. These electrodes are very perspective in the applications, such as biomolecules electrochemical detection and measurement. The transformation of aluminum layer into non-conductive nanoporous template in the process of anodic oxidation is a fundamental technique employed to obtain the array of nanostructures in this thesis. The fabrication of high quality nanoporous membranes with narrow pore size distribution on various types of metallic multilayers is one of the key experimental parts in this work. Several problems associated with the production of the thin-film systems, including the dissolving the barrier oxide layer, are discussed and solved. Another part of this work deals with the use of nanoporous membrane as a template for the production of metallic nanostructures via electrochemical metal ions deposition directly into the pores. The obtained nanostructures as nanowires, nanorods or nanodots are characterized by the scanning electron microscopy and energy-dispersive or wavelength X-ray spectroscopy. The electrode surface, modified by gold nanostructures suitable for the detection of biomolecules, has been chosen for the electrochemical measurements, due to the gold biocompatibility. The nanostructured electrodes were characterized by electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and cyclic voltammetry. The effect of nanostructured surface geometrical parameters, including the size of the electrochemically active area, on the results of electrochemical measurements has been observed and compared to flat gold electrodes. Two model biomolecules, namely guanine and glutathione, have been chosen for the study of potential application of these nanostructures in biosensors.

The master’s Thesis – Minibrewery in Vyškov, has a form of project documentation which contains relevant requirements according to valid regulations. The proposed building is situated on the plot number 2123/72 in the city Vyškov. It is a detached building which stands separately on the flat terrain. It is a two-storey building with partial basement. It is formed from three units – a minibrewery, a brasserie with kitchen and an administrative part. It is made of monolithic reinforced concrete frame, brick blocks with vegetative flat roof. The upper level attic gable is at the height of 8,880 meters. The seminar paper – minibrewery in Vyškov – is a part of the Master’s Thesis.
