Abstract:

Abstract:
This paper aims to establish a framework for evaluating technological innovation and to emphasize the important influence of path dependence on technological innovation. The fuzzy cognitive map (FCM) method is used to identify causal relationships among factors that influence technological innovation, and a FCM structural diagram for evaluating enterprise technological innovation is described. Meanwhile, a fuzzy feedback system for the evaluation of technological innovation, integrated with a nonlinear Hebbian learning algorithm, is established; dependence on expert opinions may be avoided through learning and practice using the cognitive map. Finally, using a computer software platform, a dynamic simulation of any complex index system can be realized. From this simulation, stable conditions can provide path references by which an enterprise engaging in technological innovation can improve the integrative efficiency and the overall effect of any realistic technological innovation activity.

Abstract:
The fuel-cell electric vehicle (FCEV) has been defined as a promising way to avoid road transport greenhouse emissions, but nowadays, they are not commercially available. However, few studies have attempted to monitor the global scientific research and technological profile of FCEVs. For this reason, scientific research and technological development in the field of FCEV from 1999 to 2019 have been researched using bibliometric and patent data analysis, including network analysis. Based on reports, the current status indicates that FCEV research topics have reached maturity. In addition, the analysis reveals other important findings: (1) The USA is the most productive in science and patent jurisdiction; (2) both Chinese universities and their authors are the most productive in science; however, technological development is led by Japanese car manufacturers; (3) in scientific research, collaboration is located within the tri-polar world (North America–Europe–Asia-Pacific); nonetheless, technological development is isolated to collaborations between companies of the same automotive group; (4) science is currently directing its efforts towards hydrogen production and storage, energy management systems related to battery and hydrogen energy, Life Cycle Assessment, and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. The technological development focuses on technologies related to electrically propelled vehicles; (5) the International Journal of Hydrogen Energy and SAE Technical Papers are the two most important sources of knowledge diffusion. This study concludes by outlining the knowledge map and directions for further research.

The field of ICT offers significant potential for Philippine schools. The immediate challenge for ICT institutions is to elevate their standards to meet international benchmarks and ensure graduates achieve relevant certifications. Another critical task is establishing global connections with industry to produce professionals who meet market demands. ICT presents opportunities for Philippine technological schools to explore new horizons. The internet has enabled schools to share libraries, educational resources, and even faculty with institutions worldwide. In research, the many-to-many nature of the internet has greatly enhanced collaborative efforts. ICT also allows Philippine technological schools to focus on software research and development, a less resource-intensive field where Filipino engineers can excel competitively. Furthermore, computers and networks have demonstrated their effectiveness in enhancing teaching and learning processes, paving the way for improved educational outcomes.

Abstract:
The article explores the interrelation between the main factors of national economy competitiveness on the basis of logical and correlation analysis of the data on 144 countries presented in The Global Competitiveness Report issued by the World Economic Forum. The analysis of the strength and nature of the relations between the factors gives grounds to assume that institutions, infrastructure, higher education and training are core problems; goods market efficiency, technological readiness are key problems; business sophistication and innovation are resulting problems. The analysis shows that the competitiveness indicators of other BRICS countries which are better than Russian ones, are achieved not due to any remarkable progress in economic policy, but owing to the lack of serious failures typical for Russian economy. For instance, the high level of Russian infrastructure, macroeconomic stability, sizes of home market and some other indicators come to nothing because of extremely low level of Russian institutions, market efficiency, financial market, and business sophistication. As a result, other BRICS countries' progress, which is not so remarkable itself, gives much better cumulative result in comparison with Russian breakthrough, which cannot be accomplished in the environment that is unfavorable for it. With the view of Russian economy competitiveness and innovation upgrade, firstly, it is essential to increase the quality of Russian institutions (the necessity of reforms is indubitable: Russia occupies the 133d place in the world in accordance with the quality of its institutions), to improve the infrastructure, higher education and training. The advancement in solving these problems will facilitate the situation or solve the large part of the problems of goods market efficiency and improve the existing technological readiness. The increasing of the goods market quality and the improvement of technological readiness will, in their turn, upgrade business sophistication and innovations. The proposed approach gives ground to claim that the reforms need to be made in the sequence described above. The upgrade of Russian companies’ business sophistication and their innovation will be to a great extent the result of the solution of the mentioned problems.

Abstract:
Understanding the human brain—arguably the most complex structure in the known universe—has long been a goal of science, medicine, and philosophy. Recent technological advancements have made the ambitious task of brain mapping more plausible than ever before. This essay explores the multidimensional approach needed to map the brain, emphasizing the roles of neuroimaging technologies, computational modeling, genetics, and artificial intelligence. It argues that while we are making rapid progress, truly mapping the human brain requires not just technical precision but also ethical mindfulness, global collaboration, and interdisciplinary innovation. Brain mapping is not only a scientific journey but also a humanistic one, requiring us to ask who we are and how our minds work.

Abstract This paper presents an extension of the mind map pedagogical tool, a conception in which the mind map becomes interactive and dynamic. We took advantage of all the mind map’s learning potential and benefits, and we add new ones when we propose the interactive mind map tool. We develop a model in which the teacher would have an authoring tool for creating a mind map with its elements, relationships, and interactive content related to each map element. The proposed tool is rich media, as it incorporates different types of media, allowing it to reach students with different learning profiles and needs. Furthermore, the technological aspect brings the school closer to the student’s reality.

Abstract:
In the face of strikingly intense technological development, there have been significant discrepancies in the understanding of the concept of the map; an understanding that is fundamental to cartography and, more broadly, GIScience. The development of electronic products based on geoinformation has caused a growing need for the systematization of basic concepts, including defining what a map is. In particular, the modification of the idea of the map may profoundly influence the future development of cartography. The comprehensive and innovative use of maps, for example, in location-based service (LBS) applications, may contribute to more in-depth analyses in this area. This article examines how the concept of how the map is used in technological or scientific literature about the latest geoinformation applications, as well as analyzing the survey results that confirm the change in social perception of the concept of the map in cartography. The article also refers to the role of the map in the process of indirect cognition and understanding of geographical space—cognition realized through maps. A social understanding of mapping concepts is evolving and covers the entire spectrum of geoinformation products. It seems that the latest geoinformation solutions, such as navigation applications and, in particular, applications supporting the movement of autonomous vehicles (e.g., self-driving cars), have had a particular impact on the concept of the map. This is confirmed by the results of a survey conducted by the authors on a group of nearly 900 respondents from a variety of countries. The vast majority of users are convinced that the contemporary understanding of the concept of the map is a long way from the classic definition of this concept. Therefore, in the opinion of the authors of this article, it is worth undertaking research that will become a starting point for a discussion about the broader definition of the map in GIScience.

Abstract:
As life expectancy increases, the number of people who suffer from blind and visual impairment due to presbyopia is gradually increasing. Assistive device systems have been used to overcome various physical, social, infrastructure, and accessibility barriers. As technology has advanced, the scope of assistive technologies has been expanded. Therefore, we explored technological opportunities in assistive technology for the blind and visually impaired to establish a strategy for the technology competition in the near future. Firstly, the patent vacuum is detected by generating the patent map based on generative topographic mapping (GTM). Secondly, social network analysis is applied to identify the relationship between patent vacuums and occupied grid points in the patent map. Finally, the technology activity index and technology impact index are considered at quantitative and qualitative levels. Consequently, it was identified that wearable devices, including the road situation signal acquisition module and data acquisition process control module, could be occupied in the future. This study can provide practical ideas for research and development (R&D) in the field of assistive devices for the blind and visually impaired. In addition, this study can be an ample source for decision/policy makers to project new contents.

Geography Students should be familiar with various map skills and apply them in their daily life. The methods for teaching map skills are varied. It can be done through direct instruction, inquiry-based, structured, problem-solving, model/example-based, student-led learning, and still, it is growing. Many studies discussed students' map skills usage in learning geography, the correlation between map abilities and achievement, the impact of map skill programme achievement, and the student's attitude about geography. The growing trend in map reading abilities indicates that to become a specialist user, one must acquire the knowledge and skills to analyse map components efficiently. The geographical map enables us to determine the precise location of any point on this planet. Thus, children, beginning in childhood, should be educated about geographical maps, which will help them build their map skills. Additionally, teachers use real-world maps to tackle various issues about geography education and learning. This study describes map skills learned in geography as well as technological advancements for geography students.

Abstract:
This paper presents a method for analyzing innovation trends through the detection and analysis of patent activity, the identification of new technological capabilities, key modern technologies and inventions. As part of this study, it is proposed to use a method based on structures extracted from the SAO patent corpus. A fivestep method has been developed for identifying SAO structures, expanding them, clustering, and also building flow sheets. This approach can be applied to the analysis of technological trends (trend mapping). This map visualizes the development of subclasses of patents identified through cluster analysis and technology over time. In addition to identifying technological capabilities, the described approach can be applied to construct maps to study the trends of competitors. Unlike a trend map developed using all applicants patents, this competitor card limits its attention to a single organization. A map for each company visualizes the focus of technology development in the company, allowing for a comparative analysis between companies. Based on this map, the company can identify competitors with additional technologies and understand the technological advantages and disadvantages of the target area.

Abstract:
With the advent of the knowledge economy, firms often compete for intellectual property rights. Being the first to acquire high-potential patents can assist firms in achieving future competitive advantages. To identify patents capable of being developed, firms often search for a focus by using existing patent documents. Because of the rapid development of technology, the number of patent documents is immense. A prominent topic among current firms is how to use this large number of patent documents to discover new business opportunities while avoiding conflicts with existing patents. In the search for technological opportunities, a crucial task is to present results in the form of an easily understood visualization. Currently, natural language processing can help in achieving this goal. In natural language processing, word sense disambiguation (WSD) is the problem of determining which “sense” (meaning) of a word is activated in a given context. Given a word and its possible senses, as defined by a dictionary, we classify the occurrence of a word in context into one or more of its sense classes. The features of the context (such as neighboring words) provide evidence for these classifications. The current method for patent document analysis warrants improvement in areas, such as the analysis of many dimensions and the development of recommendation methods. This study proposes a visualization method that supports semantics, reduces the number of dimensions formed by terms, and can easily be understood by users. Since polysemous words occur frequently in patent documents, we also propose a WSD method to decrease the calculated degrees of distortion between terms. An analysis of outlier distributions is used to construct a patent map capable of distinguishing similar patents. During the development of new strategies, the constructed patent map can assist firms in understanding patent distributions in commercial areas, thereby preventing patent infringement caused by the development of similar technologies. Subsequently, technological opportunities can be recommended according to the patent map, aiding firms in assessing relevant patents in commercial areas early and sustainably achieving future competitive advantages.

Technological processes of the food industry are characterized by uncertainty and complexity of the process, which depend on many factors, from the composition of raw materials to the physico-chemical properties of products at all stages of its production. All these objects increase the possibility of fluctuations in the parameters of the process and the quality of the final product. The issue of creating an information system for quality control of finished products of the technological process of butter production, based on the application of statistical methods of product quality control, namely Schuhart control charts, is considered. In order to build Schuhart control charts, experimental data on the moisture content of the finished product is being used, which is set by the technological regulations in accordance with the type of oil. Diagnosis and forecasting of the quality of finished products are carried out by analyzing the maps of the average and the scope for the possible emissions beyond the control limits of the process, namely the upper and lower limits. The average map is used to display the stability of the process with the application of the average process and reveals unwanted variations or conditions under which the process leaves the state of static control. The scale map serves to identify undesirable variations in the subgroup of the sample and serves as an indicator of process variability. In case of going some values beyond the scope map indicates on the existing of «reason-consequence» type of relationships in the system. K. Abstract:
Cherries, as high-value horticultural products, have long faced preservation challenges due to their perishable nature and limited postharvest longevity. During storage and transportation, these stone fruits are particularly susceptible to quality deterioration and pathological decay, significantly impacting commercial viability and consumer acceptance. Modified atmosphere preservation (MAP) technology has emerged as the predominant preservation method for cherry storage, recognized for its operational safety, environmental controllability, and technical reliability. This review systematically examines the physiological degradation mechanisms of cherries during storage, identifies critical environmental factors influencing decay patterns, and synthesizes recent advancements in MAP applications. The analysis encompasses technological principles and efficacy evaluations of atmospheric modification, with particular emphasis on how regulated temperature, humidity, and gas composition parameters affect the bioactive compound retention, organoleptic properties, and overall eating quality—crucial factors for enhancing consumer satisfaction and market value. Furthermore, this paper critically addresses current technological limitations, including implementation costs, operational complexity, and environmental sustainability concerns. Finally, it proposes innovative optimization strategies and outlines future development trajectories to advance technological refinement and promote sustainable innovation in terms of cherry preservation methodologies.

This paper proposes an intelligent system to track location of an individual animal or animals in wildlife sanctuary. Existing systems makes use of various technologies such as RFID, GPS, GSM, etc. RFID based systems either lack in range if passive tags are used or lack in cost effectiveness if active tags are used. Similarly, GSM based system becomes costlier and requires constant network connectivity. Hence this paper proposes a Wi-Fi based tracking system. Proposed system makes use of ubiquitous technology which encourages the use of Wi-Fi Transceivers. The Stationary Wi-Fi Transceiver consists of ESP8266 NodeMCU development board which detects the Mobile Transceiver. The Mobile Transceiver consists of ESP8266 NodeMCU attached to animals. The Stationary Wi-Fi transceiver detects Mobile Transceivers under its vicinity and sends the data to other Stationary transceiver through hop based transmission and ultimately the data is stored in the database. The mobile application accesses the location information from the database for particular animal and plots it onto the Map. In recent decades, cartography has experienced a number of paradigm changes seen in refreshed research agendas and renewed education programs. Yet cartography remains the science, art and technology of making and using maps. This paper addresses four persistent research questions in cartography: 1 ) What is a map? 2) What are maps made for? 3) How are maps made? and 4) Who is making maps? Based on a retrospective analysis of cartographic advances since the introduction of the Internet in the early 1990s, the author gives an overview of evolution with regard to map types, map affordances, mapmaking workflows and the roles of mapmakers and map users. While some cartographic principles used since ancient times will continue to serve as anchor points for future development, ever-changing technological potentials and user requirements force us to maintain vitality with more and more innovative maps and map-based services. Abstract:
Andrew Marvell has rarely been studied in relation to early modern science, even though his poetry reveals his interest in the scientific and technological developments of his time. In this study, I make a claim that Marvell’s poetic innovation of the country house poetry results from his active engagement with the new insights of early modern science, articulated most famously by Francis Bacon. In his poetic innovation, Marvell draws upon the new empirical and analytic methodology of early modern science. My focus is the poet’s impersonation of an estate surveyor. By taking up the role of an analytic and yet poetic surveyor, the poet maps out the discursive field of multiple visions competing at the historical juncture, which used to be hidden behind the monolithic vision of a utopian community in earlier precedents of the genre. In this poetic map, the surveyor-poet manages to capture not only the ascending logic of land improvement, represented by his lord, Sir Thomas Fairfax, but also the alternative views, namely, Diggers’ proto-communist ideas and fenmen’s protest against agrarian modernization. The poetic map delineates the contours of the discursive conflict surrounding the land in mid-seventeenth century England, the locus of the birth of capitalism.

Abstract:
The article considers the evolution of digital maps and virtual globes and current issues associated with their creation and use. The author shows that as technology has evolved, digital cartographic applications have become increasingly different from traditional maps and globes, becoming essentially three-dimensional interactive digital models of the Earth and near-Earth space, territories, objects and processes. These models often also act as an interface for interacting with large volumes of poorly structured data. Characteristic new qualities of such 3D models of the Earth (virtual globes), according to the author, are multiscale, multitasking and multitemporality. Analyzing the features of modern digital cartographic applications, the author highlights the key problems and potential risks associated with their creation and use. These include, first of all, the issues of data status in virtual worlds and trust in them; control of information flows between digital models and the real world; manipulation of user perception through software algorithm settings, data filtering or spoofing. The article focuses on the issues in legal regulation of 3D documents, including virtual globes, as well as issues of user responsibility for the possible consequences of their actions in the virtual models and technological difficulties in providing a comfortable work with 3D models in stereo mode. As a consequence, according to the author, two-dimensional mapping products, including traditional maps, are still preferred by most users, although they are now created on the basis of three-dimensional digital models. Prospects for further development and application of digital 3D reality models depend not only on the improvement of technology, but also on the formation of new habits of working with information.

Abstract:
Over the past few decades, geoportals have been considered as the key technological solutions for easy access to Earth observation (EO) products, and the implementation of spatial data infrastructure (SDI). However, less attention has been paid to developing an efficient model for crowdsourcing EO products through geoportals. To this end, a new model called the “Open Community-Based Crowdsourcing Geoportal for Earth Observation Products” (OCCGEOP) was proposed in this study. The model was developed based on the concepts of volunteered geographic information (VGI) and community-based geoportals using the latest open technological solutions. The key contribution lies in the conceptualization of the frameworks for automated publishing of standard map services such as the Web Map Service (WMS) and the Web Coverage Service (WCS) from heterogeneous EO products prepared by volunteers as well as the communication portion to request voluntary publication of the map services and giving feedback for quality assessment and assurance. To evaluate the feasibility and performance of the proposed model, a prototype implementation was carried out by conducting a pilot study in Iran. The results showed that the OCCGEOP is compatible with the priorities of the new generations of geoportals, having some unique features and promising performance.

Abstract:
The paper is devoted to the development of a mo-bile device and method for mobile measurements of photosynthetic photon flux density (PPFD) over the technological area of greenhouses. Within the frame-work of the method, a software product is imple-mented, which calculates PPFD and creates a map of PPFD distribution over the technological area of the greenhouse. The control tests of the device un-der greenhouse microclimate conditions were per-formed, confirming the operability of the installation.
