Oumarou, Mahamane Laouali. "Technologie de l’information et de la communication et développement économique : les enjeux et les opportunités au Niger." Thesis, Paris 10, 2011. http://www.theses.fr/2011PA100231.
Full textNiger is a landlocked country in West Africa. Its position on the outskirts of essential poles in the under-region partly explains its delayed development. To this is added, a further delay, called digital divide. Its fleet of obsolete infrastructure does not allow it to take full advantage of global flows of information to take advantage of the competitiveness of the new information society. Spurred on by recent international discussions on new technologies, it appears that the economic development of Niger would require an appropriation of ICTs by the population. Therefore, these new information technologies are at the epicenter of development issues facing the Niger. This research was given the objective to analyze the current system of ICT in Niger and its ability to set off economic development in a context of globalization of economies based on information, knowledge and expertise, by using ICTs. Following this analysis and the questions it poses, some economic theories have emerged, the information economy and its derivatives. In the second time, this study explores, describes, explains, interprets and illustrates these theories in the context of ICTs access. Illustrative examples show that ICT correct some of these predictions. ICT improves human capital, refine agents' anticipations and reduce the risk of economic decisions. That’s why, ICTs can be considered as an economic development factor in Niger. In this revolution of new technologies, the economies have not necessarily need to go through the stage of industrialization as the old theories. The example of China and the Asian dragons shows that

Full textThe use of ICT has become increasingly important in hospitals. However, the legal framework structuring its use is very complex to grasp. Indeed, it is made up of general laws as well as specific ones and makes this framework sometimes unconsistent. To provide an optimal legal framework for the ICT to expand safely, the legislator needs to strike the right balance between protecting fundamental rights and securing practices. As the current legal framework does not provide this delicate balance, public authorities have a strategic role to play to ensure a secure use of ICT within hospitals. To guarantee the development of consistent projects, a strong governance has to set up a national leadership. The legal framework needs to be rehabilitated to support digital innovation in Healthcare and to ensure a legal protection required for an appropriate use of ICT. Hospitals have then a key role to play in securing their practices
Adrot, Anouck. "Quel apport des technologies de l’information et de la communication (tic) a l’improvisation organisationnelle durant la réponse à la crise ?" Paris 9, 2010. https://bu.dauphine.psl.eu/fileviewer/index.php?doc=2010PA090037.
Full textWe explore Information and Communication Technology (ICT) support to organizational improvisation during crisis response by completing three studies. The first study confirms diversity in research on improvisation and suggests that author’s perspectives on improvisation diverge with respect to four tasks within the research process. The second study identifies five constituents of organizational improvisation. In addition, it reports six ICT properties that promote the settling of appropriate conditions for interaction during organizational improvisation in crisis response. In the empirical work, we provide a more integrative picture of ICT support to organizational improvisation in crisis response by retrospectively observing crisis responders’ interactions during the 2003 French heat wave. Our empirical findings suggest that improvisation enables crisis responders to cope with organizational emptiness that burdens crisis response. However, crisis responders’ participation in organizational improvisation depends on their communicative genres. During the 2003 French heat wave crisis, administrative actors who had developed what we call a dispassionate communicative genre in relation to their email use, barely participated in organizational improvisation. Conversely, improvisers mainly communicated in what we call a fervent communicative genre. Therefore, our findings reveal that the ICT support to organizational improvisation in crisis response is mediated by the communication practices and strategies that groups of crisis responders develop around ICT tools
Ben, el Maati Abdelkader. "Les technologies de l’information et de la communication (TIC) : facteurs de développement humain : cas de la Région Méknès-Tafilalet au Maroc." Thesis, Paris 10, 2013. http://www.theses.fr/2013PA100109/document.
Full textThis study tries to answer the question: the information technology and communication (ICT) to help they create jobs in Morocco and which jobs they generate income sufficient enough to allow the ICT actors some, take responsibility for their basic needs (food, clothing, housing, health care) and for others to live a better life (getting married, having its own housing, social security, means of transport, access to leisure, to save). Taking into account the one hand, the standard of living of the majority and secondly the social and religious culture of Morocco, the concept of human development is reduced mainly to improve material conditions of life. To test the hypothesis, a survey was carried out in the Départment of Meknes-Tafilalet in Morocco. This study, based on data from 239 respondents throught questionnaire practicing in 113 companies (phone shops, cafes, call centers, operators, public administration) and on interviews and testimonies from 24 users) showed that the economic, ICT activities struggle against unemployment by providing employment even those who have no training in the field and provide access to various indices of the hierarchy of human development and in proportion to the level of qualification. On the social services provided by ICT (Internet, telephony, and nearby transmission of sports events and political, social networks, ATM services, e-government and e-governance ...) have made a great user satisfaction. However, the study revealed that ICT also have negative impacts on society (cybercrime, job loss, reduction in income..) and on the environment

Full textICT is a key performance factor in developed countries. This PhD thesis focuses on the adoption of ICTs and their impact on the performance of manufacturing SMEs in a developing country. Following a first part covering the theoretical and conceptual framework, the rest of the thesis is organized in three empirical studies. The first study uses a Probit model in order to identify the determinants of ICT adoption. Human capital seems to be the most significant explanatory variable. Based on linear regression of dummy variables, Granger causality, Kruskal-Wallis test, ANOVA test of Welch, followed by corresponding post-hoc tests, the second study highlights the existence of a strong statistically significant relationship between the level of ICT adoption and profitability. In a third study, many Probit models (simple, ordered and multivariate) were tested on different measures of performance. Firstly, we show that ICT have a positive impact on productivity, profitability and competitiveness of SMEs. Secondly, ICT, human capital and training are determinants of firm overall performance. Thirdly, when combined together, ICT and highly skilled human resources have an important contribution to the global performance. In conclusion, our empirical results demonstrate a positive impact of ICT, human capital and organizational change on firm performance

Full textIn France, Physical Education sets up in school organized sports and physical, artistic activities, using a didactic process to provide teaching situations and educational activities which give a status to the body of the students and of the teacher too. This educational purpose aims to test/experiment a total body experience and PE teachers have to wonder about/be asked about the uses of ICT especially in a space/time school context. The manipulation/handling of these technological artefacts is viewed/considered as fine motor skills without physical exertion and energy expenditure comparable to sport and physical activity however uses of ICT with technological changes come in and redefine the relationship between living body and virtual body that we are proposing to name “PE 2.0”. This research work aims to demonstrate that PE teachers have been defining uses of ICT for their school subject for many years and respond to technological developments especially in the broadcasting and computing technologies. Based on the results of two surveys led with the PE teachers of the regional education authority (Nancy-Metz Academy) and a review of existing writing and used devices, we describe these users and the evolution of their uses/practices. The evolution of devices and available interfaces allows to include them more than in the past during lessons. But the PE teachers who use them take a proactive approach and their practices are still considered as innovative and experimental. Thus, the initial formation and continuous training of the teachers and the compilation/collection of their experience thus should must be, today, a priority for the school institutional stakeholders

Full textThe diffusion and use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is now widespread, be it in the workplace, within the family, or school where it is a key objective of the necessary knowledge and skills to be acquired by the end of basic education in France. What about the end of primary school? Our research has been directed at the study of the use, skills and performance of ten year old pupils in regard to their usage of software such word processing, web based search engines and messaging software based on the repository of computer science and Internet (B2i). We have for this purpose, conducted a field survey among more than 200 pupils and their teachers, using different approaches: interviews, questionnaires, follow-up of skills in problem solving of practical exercises and design analysis. The results of this research reveal that the integration of ICT in schools is not yet effective and the implementation of B2i is far from being achieved. However, they are gradually getting familiar with the use of external memory drives, messaging software and the skills required for computer use. We observed that most pupils have some proficiency in using word processing software and research engines. Most of their computer skills are often acquired in out of the classroom context or from family members

Full textThis thesis will allow us to take a new look at the debate on furthering the social integration of immigrants thanks to a socio-technical use of the web. Present-day society is being profoundly altered by the Technologies of Information (TIC) that are omnipresent and increasingly invasive in almost every aspect of the social field. These accelerating mutations are nonetheless liberating a powerful potential of creativity and development for a portion of the population hitherto excluded from mainline society, by the handicap of language in the case of an immigrant population, and by the lack of access to the new technology (TIC). The double exclusion facing these immigrant populations accounts for a large part of their problems with integration. Against this general background, our thesis develops the following hypothesis: mastering the new technologies of information and communication (the TIC) can become a formidable instrument for overcoming handicaps of background, language, education when appropriated within educational facilities outside the official school systems. Overcoming the digital divide can provide a shortcut to full participation in the culture and usages of the society at large. How can this be achieved? Under what conditions? We shall treat these questions via a five-pronged approach: appropriation of TIC, social integration, socio-technical devices, social mediation and digital pedagogy. Our conclusions will be based on the study of a concrete case in a specific environment. We have demonstrated how the people of Belleville, who are largely illiterate, have nonetheless been able to acquire minimal skills in the use of TIC. Tests specifically elaborated by us for this type of public allowed us to evaluate their competency in areas such as word-processing, handling the computer, and surfing on the web. Our study is conditioned by the need, both to examine the social and cognitive aspects of adult apprenticeship where the population concerned is far-removed from normal access to TIC, and to propose new approaches adapted to EPN technical devices as well as to the types of TIC usage this population might need

Full textGabon, a country of central Africa, has a population of about 1 500 000 inhabitants. TheGabonese economy relies mainly on its natural resources. Since the begining of 1990, this countryhas chosen a development plan, aiming at the diversification of its economic sectors. It is in thisperspective that the country pays a particular attention to ICT (Information and CommunicationTechnology) and to its intergration in the process of development. However, ICT poses a triplechallenge: that of know-how; social skills; and that of the preservation of the general interest. Asin the other french-speaking countries, Gabonese leaders have understood the strategic importanceof ICT in the future of Gabon. The fact remains that the use and appropriation of ICT can bebeneficial, if they are mastered and guided by a farsighted public policy, which is a greatopportunity for social cohesion and intergration. On the other hand, when this fails, it can bringabout additional inequalities. As a matter of fact, if the environment defined by ICT is that ofaccelerating change and structural performance, the difficulties are significant when it comes tothe adaptation and the appropriation of these tools by many people. This research is interested inthe conditions of a real social cohesion which would be fostered by ICT. This requires a politicalcontext which favours access to Information Technology in the largest sense. We are thereforefocusing our attention on the political structures

Full textThe theme of this thesis within the field of training throughout the working lives of administrative officers of the state of Djibouti and in particular the use of ICT.Indeed, the role of ICT in adult education, has become an important means to modernize teaching and mode of transmission of knowledge to wider audiences. There has been a very important phenomenon of convergence and distance learning worldwide. Many of the National School of Administration (ENA), including those of industrialized countries now devote human and financial resources very important to teach digital. They use this system to enrich their classroom teaching and sometimes also to provide programs remotely. It is therefore to study the environment of this system in its complexity, taking into account its specifications (educational and functional), but also its dynamics, its implementation and operation. We will consider in particular the educational and technological dimensions of alternative teaching methods and training of adults in order to propose and to adapt to the context of Djibouti. Thus, it is to find clues and criteria for strategic decision making to enhance the skills of human resources of the government of Djibouti

Full textPsychosocial risks are recognized as one of the major problems of the contemporary professional world and the European social dialogue has took on the fight against the first of them, the pandemic of work-related stress, as a priority. In this context the relationship between information and communication technology (ICT) that innervates companies as well as society and psychosocial risks is not formally established. One continues to consider worker on one side and tools on the other side as if they were mere passive instruments to support men at work, as if it was necessary and sufficient to be formed in the instruction for their use. A national statistical survey, focus groups, qualitative interviews and participant observations show that the lack of awareness of the digital ecosystem of tertiary workplaces has resulted in ignorance of the adverse effects that are as powerful as many. This gap leads to widespread control deficiencies in workers and professional organizations

Full textIn order to measure the contribution of the educational scenario in distance learning for obtaining computer skills and Internet certificate from the University Ouaga II, we chose to observe the effects of intervention modalities Proactive or reactive tutoring and the influence of the size of the limited or extended teams on the performance and participation of learners. The results of the data analysis allow us to see a significant effect of the reactive modality on the performance measured by the relative learning and driving gain. This means that, in circumstances like ours, the reactive modality leads to results superior to those associated with the proactive modality. In addition, this research reveals that the large size of the team has a significant effect on participation measured by the number of messages to the forum. Thus, our results show that learners in extended teams produce on average more messages than their team peers reduced in a context like our study

Full textThe objective of this research is to evaluate the integration of ICT in Palestinian universities for foreign language teaching: the case of RUFO and QIF projects. By adopting a constructivist theoretical approach, this study is conducted on three levels: micro (teachers and students), meso (on line courses) and macro (policy of the university and the Ministry of Education). The research is based on a qualitative and comprehensive methodology. A content analysis was applied to the triple collected data (interviews, excerpts from on line courses, official excerpts) The findings show that current teaching practices have not evolved as a result of the integration of ICT; the use of this new modality has amplified the existing traditional and directive practices; sometimes it has moved them backward. The main conclusion is that it is not possible to innovate without changing the educational paradigm and shifting from a teaching-centered model to a learning- centered one. Development of higher education requires the implementation of: a complex and cooperative educative engineering, a bidirectional and transversal management process of the innovation, and a training-coaching at all levels

Full textWith the development of new information and communication technologies, working procedures are increasingly computerized. This increasing computerization of working procedures raises the question of their acceptance by workers who have to appropriate new ways of doing their work. The present thesis aims to examine the conditions for the adoption of technologies conveying work procedures by maintenance technicians. Four studies are carried out on two fields of research (aeronautical maintenance and industrial maintenance) with the aim of understanding how maintenance technicians perceive and use these computerized working procedures. Two studies are carried out in the field of aeronautics and aim to investigate the social acceptability and the use of three new formats of procedures (3D animation, 2D and photos) before they are set up in the workshops. Study 1 examines the perception of new procedure formats by technicians (N = 136). The results of this study show that beliefs related to usefulness and ease of use are the main predictors of behavioral intention. In addition, it appears that beliefs differ depending on the type of use behavior of the procedures (daily or exceptional use). In order to understand the possible difficulties in using these new formats, Study 2 concerns the realization of user tests (N = 41). The aim is to study the usefulness and usability of the new procedural formats compared to the current format (text + image). The results show that all technicians succeed in maintenance, regardless of the format used. In addition, in general, new formats allow technicians to be more efficient because they take less time with new formats (3D animation and photos) than with reference formats and so errors made during maintenance are reduced. The new formats, with the presence of visual information, facilitate the location of the information on the equipment. Finally, a large majority of technicians intend to use the new formats. Two other studies are carried out in the field of industrial maintenance on the acceptance and use of a management of procedures software by the technicians. In this framework, study 3 concerns the perception of software in use by maintenance technicians (N = 61). The results highlight the belief in perceived compatibility as the main predictor of attitude, behavioral intention, and actual use of the software. In order to investigate the actual use of the software, study 4 deals with the analysis of the activity of 8 technicians from four workshops (filmed observation and interview). The results show that the software is suitable for only some of the technicians. Indeed, it seems to represent a brake for experienced technicians and moderately experienced technicians in the sense they are constrained in the use of the software (impossibility to navigate freely between the steps). However, the software proves to be a valuable help for inexperienced technicians (help support, training aid ...). Recommendations are made to improve the design of the software studied. In particular, improvements in the design of the three new formats of aeronautical maintenance procedures are suggested (adapting the format to the task carried out, improving the ergonomics of the touch pad...). In the second case, we make recommendations to modify the procedure management software and make it more compatible with the work of the technicians (setting up an expert mode, facilitating the search for information, navigating freely between steps …)

Full textAt the outset of the 21st Century, the notion of mobility has broadened in scope to examine the migrant experience from a more multi-dimensional perspective. Our research focuses on « the experience of mobility)) by migrants, which is defined as the entirety of physical, social, relational and virtual transitions experienced through significant displacement, as well as the knowledge gained through those experiences. We hypothesize that the experience of mobility by migrants is multi-facetted and has a profound impact on the individuals who have been transformed through migration. « Mobility », therefore, can no longer be defined as a simple physical movement. Our methodological approach is based on the personal narratives of 60 Chilean migrants to France during various waves of migration. Finally, if we accept the idea that mobility is an all-encompassing social phenomenon, we may also consider that the act of migration represents a « total mobility »

Full textIn recent years, progress made in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT) has stimulated social and economic globalization, leading to the development of an information society. Widespread campaigns around that society advocated the need and even the urgency for African countries to use these technologies to reach the expected level of development of which the nation Mali is not an exception. In that area telecommunications and affiliated strategies oriented towards universal access play an important role. However, technological advances are involved in the atomization of society especially broadening the gap between men and women. Moreover, stakeholders are concerned by this situation, especially since, according to the United Nations, the lack of access to ICTs is the third crucial challenge for women after poverty and violence. Therefore, the consideration of gender issues and women integration in ICTs and development become more important despite the constraints and the gap between what is said and what is done. This work focuses on issues that include the use of technologies such as mobile phones by Malian women in an environment whereby tradition and modernity tackle each other. In other words, this study analyses how mobile phones, the new practices and transformations it brings in, fit in the daily life of Malian business women

Full textWhen we talk about adults using computers, inequalities between women and men very often emerge, and particular emphasis is placed on the negative relationship which women supposedly have with computers. Studies on ways of reducing these inequalities have often been based on information collected by IT professionals or expert users. This leaves out the majority of normal users (both women and men). Therefore we have very little information on people who, although they are not experts or professionals, appreciate computers and use one regularly and confidently. This thesis is aimed at this particular group of people. The main objective was to gather information on how women and men who are regular but non-professional users can form positive relationships with ICT computers. Twenty-five narrative interviews were conducted with this aim in mind. Based on a comparison between the sexes, the study explores potential inequalities between women/men and examines the potential role of gender, that is, a “hierarchical system of norms for each sex”. The results show that positive relationships are based on the same aspects for both women and men. The influence of gender depends on power games and on recognising situations which defy the imagination, in which men are much closer to technology than women

Full textThe development of the internet leads to various changes in our everyday life, including in the academic sphere and in the work of teachers. In the light of work and education sociologies, this thesis analyses professional uses of the internet by primary school teachers in the Frenchspeaking Community of Belgium. Based on a questionnaire survey, an ethnographic proccess and the analysis of websites and social networks, the pluralist approach of this study makes it possible to analyse the uses of the internet by these professionals, to understand when and how they use it in their work and to study its impact. This study focuses on the analyses of the work in its globality, going beyond the visible aspects of the uses in order to comprehend them as a whole and in their full complexity. More than 200 teachers were surveyed, which allowed to focus on regular and prevailing uses as well as, on the contrary, neglected ones. The observation of these stakeholders daily work during three school years brings the contextualization of certain elements, sometimes being moderated in the light of the realities on the ground. Finally, the analyses of the used websites and their interactions on social networks highlights some teacher tasks at times concealed

Full textAdministration in Africa has begun to develop information technology tools that facilitate exchange and communication between administrators and citizens. Paperless documentation is being developed in Africa. Sometimes, it is driven by requirements or guidelines of international institutions. E-government is one of the factors of modernization reform of African states. It is defined as the application of new information and communications technology (ITC) in public sector (administration) in order to improve the efficiency of services provided to citizens. In the literature of the subject, there are several e-government models presented and evaluated in the terms of their presence in the states or organizations. Developing countries, like Togo, have taken the road to modernization for ten years, with a variety of objectives. Some countries in Europe, America and Asia have already more than twenty years of experience in this reform. Despite the disparity of e-government programs, their objectives and their advancement (the agendas are not the same in all countries), international assessment procedures in overall ranking of countries are ubiquitous. They suggest that there is a universal model of electronic government which can be apply to measure the progress of any country. But international indicators are used to make decisions that engage in the realization of e-government projects. It is therefore necessary to examine the validity of these methods. This is the subject of this dissertation. The questions of the universality of models lead to investigate whether international ranking indicators in digital development reflect reality and whether they take into account all comparative parameters supposed to define the progress of a state. This dissertation is divided into three parts. The first part discusses the models of e-government and the technological context in Africa, including the statements of places of telecommunication and network infrastructure (facilities and applications, Internet service providers and telephone, etc.), the Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and e-government. Then, non-typical successful case studies of West Africa (Cape-Verde), North Africa (Tunisia), and Central Africa (Rwanda) are presented. The second part discusses the case of e-government in Togo. It outlines the foundation for the development of e-government in Togo and presents the state of ICT development and the establishment of administrative records. Advantages, disadvantages and challenges of e-government in Togo are discussed as well. After the presentation of the general context in Togo, the methodology and the results of the field study are discussed. The field study was based on interviews with actors involved in the implementation of the e-government in Togo and on observations. The third part deals with the theoretical framework of this research. It analyzes international comparison of methods of e-government by providing a reflection on the methodology of the construction e-government indicators and international assessments in light of studies carried out in Togo
Rassy, Jessica. "Le processus de recherche d’aide par les technologies de l’information et des communications (TIC) d’adolescents ayant un risque suicidaire." Thèse, Université de Sherbrooke, 2017. http://hdl.handle.net/11143/11076.
Full textA growing number of adolescents are seeking answers to health problems through Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), especially regarding mental health. Some studies even report that adolescents highly at risk of suicide do not seek help in person and prefer seeking help through ICT. To our knowledge, no study in Quebec has yet explored the ICT help-seeking process of adolescents at risk of suicide. Thus, the aim of this study was to understand and generate a theory on the ICT help-seeking process of adolescents at risk of suicide. The objectives were to: (1) describe the use of ICT by adolescents at risk of suicide seeking help and (2) understand the ICT help-seeking process of adolescents at risk of suicide. Grounded theory methodology was used in response to these objectives to help model the help-seeking process of adolescents at risk of suicide. Data was collected through semi-structured interviews, an ICT help-seeking questionnaire and live observations of ICT help-seeking by the adolescents of this study. Theoretical saturation was reached with a total of 15 adolescents, aged 13 to 17, at risk of suicide. Data was analyzed using Corbin and Strauss’s paradigm model and the constant comparative method until data saturation occurred and a substantive theory was generated called the virtual emotional drowning theory. In order to “virtually cope with emotional drowning” (central category), the participating adolescents tried different strategies and sometimes, more than one strategy was used in the same session. These strategies included distracting themselves, getting informed, revealing themselves and helping others. The use of these strategies resulted in emotional growth, getting help, getting temporary relief, having no changes or sadly, having an exacerbation of suicidal thoughts or an actual suicide attempt. Finally, suggestions for clinical practice, training programs and future research are presented. The results of this study allow a better understanding of the use of ICT by adolescents at risk of suicide in order to develop, implement and evaluate ICT nursing interventions that will better respond to these adolescents’ needs.

The first is to study and analyze listening strategies and the role of multimedia in the acquisition of this skill. The second is to provide individual macro-task training in multimedia environments to improve listening comprehension of French as a foreign language. The study was conducted with 30 learners of French as a foreign language at the institute of language, art and culture at Suan Dusit Rajabhat University, Bangkok, Thailand. We collected the data by using three different methods : observation, questionnaire and interview. The realization of this research has enabled us not only to respond to initial questions and to validate our assumptions, but also to develop methods that can be used by learners as a starting point to improve the skill of listening. We found that the type of listening strategy employed depended on the learner’s language level. Students adjusted their listening strategies according to the type of task that needed to be carried out and the type of sound recording. Students used the support of ICT to learn at their own pace, manage their time more effectively, be more autonomous, and learn according to their individual needs without the need for feedback from the teacher. All learners have taken advantage of our listening training experiments to enable them to improve their listening skills and be more autonomous learners. This analytical study has enabled us to devise and make use of the best teaching and training strategies for early language learning that can improve learners’ listening and other language skills (reading, speaking and writing) when studying French as a foreign language

Full textOur thesis is devoted to the study of information technology and communication (ICT), their uses, impacts and their appropriations as well as the constraints which slow down their integration in small and medium-sized enterprises (SME). Our research allowed :To analyze the acceptability factors of the information system by adopting a behavioral approach and aims at showing the necessity of an immaterial approach (Human / Cultural, organizational / managerial ...) in the conduct and management of the project of the information system (IS). To Consider two levels of analysis: The micro level to analyze the immaterial factors relative to the methodology of the implementation project of IS and the immaterial factors relative to the phases of the project of the IS. The macro level to analyze the immaterial factors relative to the strategy of assistance and support, diffusion of ICT in SME. To Concept design of a research model and doing two tests: The first basic test of our model in pre-adoption allowed to show a statistically significant correlation between the immaterial factors and the acceptability factors. Communicate the results of the first test. The second test model in post-adoption phase allowed to confirm the continuity of the acceptability of IS in post-adoption with the increase of the rate of acceptability of IS. Confirm the continuity of the consideration of the immaterial factors in the project of implementation of an IS with the increase of the rate of system immateriality. Deduct that our immaterial approach allowed to improve the rate of acceptability of the IS and, consequently, to increase the rate of success of the project of implementation of IS

Full textThe aim of this thesis is to study the impact of information and communication technologies (ICT) on the transaction costs. It is composed of five chapters. The first treated principally the development of « new economy », linked to the democratization of the usage of ICT. These ICT affect also the informational environment of the agents and the nature of their rationality, essential determiners of the transaction costs. The second chapter reminds therefore the reasons of the existence of the theory of transaction costs, as well as its main concepts and hypotheses. The third chapter shows how ICT reduce these transaction costs. We distinguish the impact of ICT on coordination costs and on motivation costs. We demonstrate that ICT reduces coordination costs and increases efficiency. These efficiencies are process improvement of trade and marketplace benefits. At the same time ICT affect motivation costs, we discuss the effect of Internet on informational asymmetries. Our conclusions suggest that reduction of coordination costs is important. However, the Internet is not marked by more asymmetry of information than the traditional market. The fourth chapter is interested in the organizational choice related with the effect of ICT on the transaction costs. The limits of the choice market/hierarchy result in the appearance of the theories which take into account the coexistence of these two organizational choices in new forms of organization such as networks. The main characteristics of these organizational forms make the object of the developments of the last chapter

Full textThis research work is based upon the assumption that the ICTEs (Information and Communication Technologies for Education), Internet and other Information systems developments bring about a deep and fundamental change to the approach of the overall context of archive and documentation management in Africa. Our survey concerns the current development of information technologies in general and particularly the use of ICTEs in higher education in Africa, focussing on the mechanisms implemented at the School for Librarians in Dakar, Senegal, “EBAD” (École des bibliothécaires, Archivistes et Documentalistes de Dakar) and the way they are received by the African specialists. Such a significant digital upheaval necessarily implies new methodologies devised for “informational activities”, remote work and new know-hows in the processing, management, research and sharing of information. For that reason, African information and documentation specialists are now led to get involved and adapt to their new role of information mediators, which implies that they acquire and master new educational, informational, documentary and sociotechnical capabilities. This new role of African specialists is all the more necessary as the vast majority of our fellow citizens are illiterate (more than 60%, particularly in languages used by northern countries for the exchange of cultural resources and information). Now these capabilities can admittedly be acquired only by training; this is why we have set our goals through our three empirical studies: firstly, to review the current state of training in the African LIS, secondly by asking the specialists questions, to assess their practice of information and distance learning methods and to identify their own training needs. Thirdly, we are laying the base for the reflection on future prospects of jobs in the field of information / documentation in Africa, in complex and ever-changing environments

Full textInformation and communication technologies have borne much hope in Africa in all areas of economic and social life and especially in education. For higher education this hope is all that greater needs and challenges are many. The African University faces a threefold problem: mass numbers of students primarily at the undergraduate level, lack of educational facilities and lack of sufficient qualified teachers in a number. It is in this context ICT appear as a possible solution to overcome resolve these difficulties. On this momentum, with the other countries of the sub region, Senegal tries to use these technologies to reform and improve its higher education system. Indeed, with the increase in the number of colleges at the level of secondary education, the mass of the numbers of students exerts strong pressure on the University authorities. Each year, thousands of young graduates knock at their doors; It was then that ICT and e-learning appear as alternative to solve this equation trimmed of all virtues With the significant achievements in the field of computing and internet connectivity of UCAD, are difficult access conditions related to the mass of staff especially at the undergraduate level on the way to be solved?

Full textUses of the Internet and involvement in school work: ethnographic and quantitative approach of undergraduate degree studentThe influence of Internet practices on student involvement in undergraduate work. This doctoral work looks at a particular aspect of first year students undergraduate experience, notably their level of scholarly involvement within the context of an increasingly prevalent digital world. Some key aspects of the study include documenting student appropriation, relationship to, and use of the Internet (strategies employed) within their academic studies. To examine the relationship between first year students Internet use and their academic studies, this study looked primarily at laptop usage during and outside of class over a period of three to six months. What is innovative about this study is its use of both non-digital and digital data collection methodologies. Non-digital data collection included observation, questionnaire and interviews. Digital data collection, via software, which was installed on students computers, permitted an extremely detailed, account of undergraduate digital practices. The analysis within and between these numerous data collection approaches provided a more in-depth understanding of students digital practices ( the particular use of social media in academic studies) and enabled an examination of the coherency between reported practices and actual practices recorded (the organization of breaks or the continuous use of the Internet during school work). This study shows that the use of the Internet by students is not homogeneous to this population and the impact it can have on studies is more complex than it seems

Full textThe purpose of this research is to analyze the inner workings and mechanisms that facilitate the emergence of the phenomenon of ICTs use in an industrial environment. We consider ICTs as mediated communication devices. By using an inductive ethnographic approach and relying on our detailed study of the metallurgical sector, we propose an interpretive modelling of the phenomenon of its use. The model of the overlapping roles of techniques, discourses and practices underscores the importance of considering how these three dimensions interact. It has the advantage of going beyond the technical and social determinism by identifying the three constituent processes of ICTs use: technique idealization in discourse, the widespread use of ICTs in practices and, lastly, their legitimization. Thus, a gradual construct emerges of the use of mediated communication devices, which have become so commonplace that they blend into the local environment. The use of ICTs has proven to be an evolutive phenomenon that develops over time and takes a variety of forms

Full textIn the past decade, university students have had a growing access to computers. They now use them, for leisure and for work, at home and at the university. But little is known on what are their ordinary uses of information and communication technologies (ICT) in order to comply with what the university requires of them. This research in educational sciences has focused on this issue. It has studied the activities of university students in science and technology, using as a conceptual framework a systemic approach and the cultural-historical theory of activity. In particular, we have focussed on the activity of producing lengthy texts, using a corpus of digital documents written by Master students at home, in order to report on their activities as interns. The results show the hypothesis of a link between the complexity of the morphological construction of the text (complex inter and intra propositional) and the construction of the instrument to produce the text

Full textThe general objective of this study is on the one hand, to draw up an inventory of fixtures of the integration of information technologies and communication (ICT) in the Moroccan education system and on the other hand, to identify and analyze the major hurdles likely to block this integration. In the present study the mixed approach of methodology was adopted, to meet this need, starting from the points of view of the various recipients and to support the validation by the combination of various information sources, in order to give a complete image of the studied fact. Thus, the data-gathering was made in two phases: The first consists of the qualitative data-gathering in priority by using two possibilities of collection namely: the study of documents and talks semi-directed by the headmasters of the primary and secondary schools and the persons in charge of the integration of the ICT on the ministerial, regional and provincial level.. As for the second phase, it, consists of an investigation by questionnaires provided by the teachers, the headmasters and the pupils of primary and secondary schools and it primarily aims at collecting quantitative informationThe results highlighted three principal categories of uses of the ICT at the Moroccan school, namely: the use of the ICT as an independent discipline to teach, the use of the ICT in administration and finally the use of the ICT as educational tools to teach other subjects. Data analysis collected show that in general, in spite of the important investments, the integration of the ICT at the Moroccan school still remains in embryonic phase. More particularly, the teaching integration of the ICT remains, for the majority of the teachers, very limited if not absent. The results also show that the process of integration of the ICT in teaching/training meets multiple obstacles. Indeed, five principal categories of obstacles were identified, namely: the general obstacles related to the structural problems of which the educational system itself, The obstacles relating to the policy and the strategy of implementation of the ICT in the education, the obstacles linked to the infrastructure of the ICT, the obstacles linked to the professional support and the and the obstacles relating to the cultural and linguistic stakes

Full textThis thesis allows us to appreciate the cognitive functioning of deaf college students, speakers of French Sign Language, in their relation to written French. It takes a psycholinguistic approach to learning, using the concepts of bilingualism, cognition, written production and Information and Communication Technologies. A primary study explores various types of written work (SMS, blogs, written school works, note-taking) and shows that deaf students decompose words into sublexical units and adapt to the writing context. A second study of the morphological decomposition of words during a computer training session provides an overview of their performance in the treatment of these units. A final study on note-taking and real-time written production provides information on how students reuse the learning from the training session and their behaviour in the act of writing. An effect of language transfer, or degree of signability, from sign language to French is noticeable. When sublexical decomposition is confusing, the use of orthographic units appears to mask morphological processing. This raises the question of educational training materials and the teaching of writing skills. Spontaneous writing, the contribution of multimedia, and sublexical semantic units for generating automatic gestures in the writing process, appear to be promising avenues

Full textThis work is a theoretical, methodological, and practical contribution to the teaching/ learning of foreign languages (especially of French as a foreign Language) using the new educational technologies. The emergence of technologies of information and communication has opened new horizons in terms of education which have proved useful for the teaching of languages. The Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) are of the discussion of the social and philosophical challenges they generate; the generalization of these technologies have spin-offs used in the field of the teaching of languages. In the framework of this research, we are considering the use of technologies of information and communication in the learning of French as a Foreign Language and especially the use of educational software intended for French courses for Ir anian students. That is to say, there is a relationship between students and language educational software. In this connection, does the introduction of the computer in the language class not invite the rethinking of what the distance causes in terms of the practices of teaching and learning, technological uses, and devices to help learning? We are going to first cover the general models of learning and their relations with educational software available in trying to fix the shortcomings of the Ir anian context. With the analysis of cultural elements (educational culture, culture in the general sense) of the context, we can see that it is a tool with potential cognition as the software needs to adapt to the realities of the cultural context and the needs of the intercultural target audience. A field experiment gives us the opportunity to verify the use of tools and adaptation of this type of teaching material for the intended audience and makes us question the effectiveness of educational software in the service of learning foreign languages in different contexts

Full textCameroon must face the quasi universal requirement of integrating the ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) into education. From this gigantic and complex field, we pointed problems relating to the didactic training of the teachers of French language. This French language which has the polemical status of being considered as a second language in Cameroon (Cuq, 1991). The thesis which pertains to the sciences of language, adopts however a systemic (Moigne, 1977) and necessarily a transdisciplinary approach (Nicolescu, 1996), only likely to deal with the complexity (Morin, 1982) of the set of themes. On the basis of the sociolinguistic situation of Cameroon - officially bilingual country (French, English), containing 300 national languages - this study reveals the epistemological (Popper, 1963), technological (Karsenti, 2005) and ethical bonds (Comenius, 17th century) which exist between the status of French, the training of teachers and the ICT in such a multilingual context

Full textThis research explores the consequences of introducing information and communication technologies (ICT) in the field of education in Sub-Saharan Africa. It seeks to identify, from a social policy perspective, the differences between the discourse adopted by differing social actors and actual field practice. The study is based on the integration of technologies in teacher training in Burkina Faso, where there are high levels of poverty and illiteracy. This work tries to show that the integration of the ICT in education, whose declared objective is to resolve structural, institutional and teaching problems, as well as reducing the socio-economic in-balance with other industrialized countries, is largely utopian, given the actual state of development in Burkina Faso – a utopia resulting from a mythical understanding of technology. After the presentation of the context of the research, (Chapter 1), the second chapter offers a review of the relevant literature and the theoretical approaches underpinning the research. Chapter 3 explains the methodology. The final chapter presents the results of the analysis, combining data from direct observation, official texts and interviews (25) with educators and politicians

Full textAcquiring a new Information Technology System (IT) is no longer a strategic issue; rather, it’s the general attitude towards the IT System that determines the extent of efficiency and benefits an organization realizes by implementing it. The Assessment of the performance and impact of IT Systems on organizations, has become of great interest to the Business Administration Management sciences. Also, It is of a major concern for companies leaders (KALIKA 2000; M Tahir Jan, Johan W de Jager, Alileche Ameziane, Naheed Sultan 2019).The use of IT is gradually spreading throughout the entire value chain of the company. However, their level of acceptance varies from country to country and from sector to another. In addition, the optimal implementation of ITs faces multiple difficulties:- technical: in particular to meet interoperability needs and to ensure sufficient control by users;- economical: in terms of investment; - behavioural in terms of stakeholder resistance. Thus, accelerating the process of acceptance and improvement in its use, involves identifying the factors that predict this process. In Morocco, research work that addresses the issue of the process of user acceptance of ITs in the context of luxury hotels is lagging considerably. This postulate is gaining momentum as this is mainly a crucial economic activity for Morocco, namely tourism. The implementation of IT in luxury hotels is only an initial phase of their successful integration. At this stage, the acceptance phase is the most delicate because it reveals a gap between the expected utilization and the actual level of use of these technologies. Furthermore, it is important to reflect on the attributes that influence users in their decision to accept or reject an IT and the extent of their use. The reasons for resistance go beyond the rational decisions advocated in the economic approach (cost, effort...). They cover: the specificities of ITs, the organizational context, the cultural, psychological and ethical specificities of users, and social influence. The purpose of this work is to answer the following question: What are the personal characteristics, specificities of IT users, and internal environment influences inside Marrakech luxury hotels that predict the acceptance of an IT system? In light of the literature review conducted on IT acceptance theories, we designed and tested a conceptual model by conducting a qualitative study by interviewing ten luxury hotel managers, and a quantitative investigation of 235 IT users to examine the factors that directly influence an IT system acceptance. The results of our research revealed the significant influence of personal characteristics, subjective norms, perceived risk, and managerial support as antecedents of expected performance. We concluded that these variables predict IT acceptance through attitude, intention and reluctance to change

New reporting tools are required, in order to produce, share, and exchange data. Indeed, the entities inevitably turn to the use of information and communication technologies, to make the transmission of data easier, and to facilitate the decision-making. However, information and communication technologies are changing the control’s art in organisations. Facing this context, financial auditors cannot ignore the companies’ computerisation phenomenon, which is becoming more and more complex. It is within this context, that I am submitting this thesis, which aims at demonstrating the evolution of the auditors’ profession to adapt itself to the audited entities’ information system, and to the technologies used in the auditing mission. To reach this aim, I will, at first, explain the current auditors’ role, their working environment, and the information systems that goes with them, by introducing the acceptance determinants of this technology. Then, I will show that it requires a model to follow in order to improve the financial auditor’s decisional productivity

Full textIn the mid-1990s , Africa began to show its interest for what is now called Information and Communication Technologies ( ICT ). All sectors of development have been concerned, one of the most emblematic being education. This research has aimed at contributing to the analysis of the use of ICT in education in Mali. Having a rather exploratory nature, it focuses on two distinct moments : that of radio in the 1960s and that of information technology and communication in the 2000s. For this period , particular attention has been paid to general secondary education, an area about which not much scientific research has been so far published. This analysis has shown that the experiences related to technology made in the past seem to show similar patterns of development to what is currently happening to such an extent that one could almost substitute the word "ICT "to the word "radio ". Our data from the analysis of telecommunication development also show that the technological revolution experienced by Mali today is more akin to mobile telephony than to the Internet. Our case study on the introduction and use of Information Technologies and Communication in Malian public and private high schools and in cyber cafes reveals remarkable innovation at both the school administration , among students as among teachers. However, the situations are very varied according to schools and risks of a growing digital divide exist

Full textWith the analysis of the causes of drug-induced diseases in the French primary care, the collaboration between healthcare professionals, supported by information and communication technology, appears to be a major challenge to secure the patient’s care. The objective of this thesis was to identify the aspects of pharmacy practice on which to develop the physician – community pharmacist collaboration and to explore the organized forms of collaborative pharmacy practice in the context of the deployment of the Pharmaceutical Record (DP).First, we explored the process of the physician – community pharmacist collaboration. A literature review was conducted to identify the specific models of collaboration. A total of 16 articles were included and four different models were identified. Their analysis showed that collaboration is based on an individual process underpinned by two categories of drivers: (1) towards the other professional and the personal interest for collaborative practice; (2) the perception of the other professional and the evaluation of his skills. As the collaboration is based on the recognition of professional skills, the second part of this work was to analyze the pharmacists’ role and the impact of the DP in the safety of the dispensing. The DOPI-OFFI study is an observational, cross-sectional and multicenter study on pharmacists’ interventions (PIs) performed in the primary care and on the evaluation of the DP in the dispensing process. A total of 243 community pharmacies have documented 7231 PIs. The DP appears to be a valuable complement when the patient's local pharmacy record is blank or incomplete and as an effective tool to prevent discrepancies with the medication history. The study also identified the context associated with the PIs. Thus appropriate actions would be proposed to enhance the quality of pharmacy practices. Finally, the study demonstrated the sustained communication between general practitioners and community pharmacists about the drug-related problems. The collaborative dynamics is also based on the specific healthcare professionals’ and patients’ needs. The objective of the third part of this work was to determine the preferences of the general population, the physicians and the community pharmacists on pharmacy services and their organization. We developed a Best-Worst Scaling experiment. We identified the key characteristics of pharmacy services from 6 focus groups that were conducted with patients, general practitioners and community pharmacists. Three questionnaires, each consisting of 20 attributes, were developed. The development of the community pharmacists’ role must be based on the current practice, on pharmacy services that have demonstrated their effectiveness and on the legitimacy of the pharmacist to propose them. The results of the BWS will complement the results that were already established by this work

In this work, the main problem was to know how to preserve the revenue of the states (VAT and tax on corporate profits) in the context of immaterial beyond-borders services in the era of IT. In this perspective, it appears that the question of territorial connection of immaterial services is closely related to a problem of identification and location of the parties. Therefore, it is necessary to continue the cooperation and even to coordinate, first, between various authorities in France, and secondly, between tax authorities and IT providers

Full textThe principle objective of this thesis is to best understanding the strategies that are conducive to the didactic and pedagogic integration of ICT in teaching geography in Syria. We are particularly interested to innovation of geography teaching in Syria. We are focus on ICT and their role in contributing to improving the quality of geography teaching in the secondary school. We asked about what ICT tool is used? Which teaching to geography? To answer those questions, an empirical study was conducted in Syrian secondary schools in four Syrian cities, two questionnaires; several interviews and experimentation are made on the ground. The thesis is well identifying important factors that contribute to the sustainability of the pedagogic and didactical of ICT integration in the specific context of secondary school. The results are used to develop a strategy referred to the innovation of the teaching of geography, thanks to this inventory of ICT in teaching geography in Syria. Moreover, these results shed light on the main categories of barriers to pedagogic and didactical integration of ICT in education including geography : barriers to external factors and barriers to internai factors. The research also included the use of ICT by students to identify factors that promote or inhibit the sustainable integration of ICT in teaching geography

Full textThis study focuses on research in language learning and the use of ICT. It is based on actionresearch carried out in courses of English as a second language in two language training centres in Damascus (Al Faiha Institute and Al Majmouha Al Arabia). The phonological nativisation process during the acquisition of English as a second language implies a subsequent work which sometimes raises some difficulties that ICT, more precisely multimedia and speech recognition, can contribute to remedy. This thesis presents a phonological remediation work conceived like a coherent set of macro-tasks and micro-tasks. The objective of didactic research is the observation and the description of practices in order to propose, then to experiment with the best adapted approaches, while confronting the theories to the effects that the environment, here the Syrian context, may generate. An example of action-research carried out in Damascus, in several stages, is described in order to adapt the theoretical positions to the local potentialities and to measure the effects of the hypotheses that permitted to elaborate the learning system and the tasks. The conclusion proposes ways of reflection that will be presented in the form of new hypotheses in order to refine the results and to show that it is possible to bring some modifications or orientations that could be adapted to the local situation

Full textOur work deals with the use of interactive whiteboard (IWB) in schools. We are particularly interested in the cognitive effects of three pedagogical potentials of the IWB on the teaching and learning in Cycle III of primary school in France. The study is conducted in primary classes 4 (CM1) and primary 5 (CM2) and focuses on the teaching and learning of the concept of fractions. The relationship between the use of IWB and the effects of these practices on student learning appears complex and raises many questions. This complexity comes primarily from the plurality of factors more or less involved in the teaching and learning process. To better understand this issue, our research focuses on the influence of the three themes of the IWB: 1. the technical educational interactivity supported by the use of IWB; 2. the terms and working ergonomics involved by the use of IWB; 3. Visual and manipulated multimodal media used on this digital instrument. This study focuses on theoretical elements used in research in the fields of education and disciplinary teaching to address this problem. We based our thinking, initially, on the notion of mediation by drawing on the instrumental approach according to Rabardel (1995). The tasks done in the classroom are in a collective framework. Secondly, we analyze, according to the theory of activity of Engeström (1987). Finally, we are inspired by the works of Piaget (1948) in order to understand the development and construction of the notion of fractions in children. Besides, in this research, the IWB is not isolated from other existing elements in the class but it is a techno-semiotic-pragmatic device (Peraya, 1999). From this point of view, the IWB meets three entities: the technic, the semiotics and the social. The IWB is seen as the set of interactions between these three areas: technological, technosocial and system of representations of the order of semiocognitif. The three fields of investigation of the IWB were conducted with a sample composed of students and teachers from the department of Rhone through questionnaires, direct field observations, interviews and pre and post testing. The objective of plurality of data construction tools was to confront the opinions obtained in order to consider the effects of three pedagogical potentials of the IWB on the teaching and learning of the concept of fractions. This research shows that IWB is a very useful tool for the teaching and learning of fractions. In particular, we found that the IWB promotes interactions between different actors in the classroom and the collective construction of knowledge. Teachers have particularlyemphasized the assistance the IWB has brought to the relational development of students and the singular facilitation the conceptualization of the concept of fractions. Visual and multimodal media manipulation of the IWB is also a cognitive aid for students in their learning

Full textThe present research treats of the involvement of Information and Communication Technologies in the development of the self-training of to-be primary school teachers. The context in which this research settles is double. Firstly, that of the setting up of the teachers’ training reform – masterisation – which took place in France from 2010 to 2013. Secondly, that of the contemporary problems related to the use of digital technology for self-training. The following work is based on data which was gathered during individual interviews with primary school teacher trainees who originated from masterisation, in order to explore their views on the profession, on the knowledge as well as on Information and Communication Technologies. Its goal is the better understanding of what self-training via ITCs represents for them, and also to bring into light the stakes engendered, in terms of career building and development. What stands out from this, is that the complexity of this rather peculiar pre-teaching phase is doubled by that of teaching and of self-training in a “digital world”. It appears that the infinite possibilities which are offered by these technologies only strengthen the need for a very solid initial training. This implies the reinforcement of human interaction through an enlightened and enlightening guidance for beginning teachers, enabling them to develop all the sooner their professional competence and to continue to make them evolve all along their career
