Abstract:
Leadless pacemakers will most likely be the future of cardiac pacing. Leadless pacing employs a single-chamber system to pace only the right ventricle and is fully self-contained, which eliminates the need for leads. These systems, implanted by using a transcatheter sheath, are indicated for patients who need right ventricular pacing only. These devices enable patients to avoid lead-related complications, from lead fracture to extraction challenges, as well as pocket-related complications such as infection and disfigurement. Leadless pacemakers also are compatible with magnetic resonance imaging and do not require surgical placement, so patients avoid postoperative mobility restrictions. Because this technology will be increasingly used for cardiac internal electronic devices, commonly seen in critical care nursing, nurses must be knowledgeable about the indications for use of a wireless pacemaker, the implantation procedure, postprocedural care, device interrogation, and follow-up. This article discusses leadless pacemakers, clinical indications for their use, key similarities and differences between the current devices being used, key points for nursing care of patients with a leadless device, and the future of this technology.

Abstract:
Glass provides many opportunities for advanced packaging. The material properties give many opportunities. As an insulator, glass provides advantages in providing low electrical loss, particularly at high frequencies. The relatively high stiffness and ability to adjust coefficient of thermal expansion gives advantages to manage warp in glass core substrates and bonded stacks. Forming processes allow the potential to both form in panel format as well as to form at thicknesses as low as 100 um, giving opportunities to provide cost-effective solutions for the industry. Via fabrication technology development continues to advance providing via diameters < 20 um in size in production ready environment. [1–5] As the industry adopts glass solutions, significant advancements have been made in downstream processes such as glass handling and via/surface metallization. We will provide an update on advancements in these areas as well as handling techniques to achieve desired process flows. There also continues to be increasing amounts of data showing the ability to achieve electrical and thermo-mechanical reliability of substrates with TGV and latest data here will also be provided.

Abstract:
A cone-type piercing mill was developed by the authors for materials with poor hot workability. This piercing mill is called “the super piercer” in Europe. It has a pair of cone-type main rolls supported at both ends with their roll axes inclined and crossed so as to enable piercing at high feed and cross angles. In order to ensure the best performance of the rotary piercing, disc rolls are adopted instead of plate guide shoes. The super piercer was put into practice at the small-diameter seamless tube plant operated in 1983. The recent progress in our research and development on the super piercer has resulted in the concept of “the new super piercer,” which allows expansion piercing. Namely, the development of the skewing technology for disc roll axes and its application to the cone-type piercing technology has realized remarkable increase in the expansion ratio. The new super piercer was adopted as the core technology of the new medium-diameter seamless tube plant operated in 1997. In this paper, studied in detail were the influences of the expansion ratio, feed and cross angles on the rotary forging effects, redundant shear deformations and power consumption.

Abstract:
Information and communication technology (ICT) has the credit to be relatively more closely related to the society facilitating economic transactions to be easy and fast and social wellbeing in all walks of life. It has had global and international importance, as it has worked as an important tool in globalizing the world, and has become a pressing necessity of the globalized world. Moreover, its relevance in the globalized world is intensifying, as its constructive role is every day spiraling. Its vale in that sense will go on mounting. On the other hand, its evil-ridden uses and abuses are menacing the people and countries around the world. Delinquent people and rogue countries are using the technology for achieving their sinister objectives. This aspect of the technology is bothering policymakers, business executives and individuals in the society. In view of this, two pertinent questions arise: one, which of the two aspects of the information and communication technology is dominant; and second, what preventive and punitive measures should we adopt in order to mitigate the evil use of the technology. A vivid comparison of both, which has been carried out in the paper, demonstrates that the beneficial use of the information and communication technology is predominantly high. Thus, our strategy, as the paper suggests, should be to support the useful aspect of the technology with useful conditionality so that it could abate and control its evil use, and to adopt preventive and punitive measures in order to defeat the evil-doers. For that, both legal and extralegal tools should be adhered to. Towards these, the paper offers some useful suggestions.

Methods: In present work, different patent applications in the field of bubble electrospinning technique, which represents the advancement in bubble electrospinning technology, are searched and analyzed using various paid and free patent databases. The patent search results are compiled, analyzed and individual innovations are studied in detail to bring all the advancements hitherto in the bubble electrospinning technology under the purview of one review article. Results: The “bubble ws3 electrospin” syntax in the structured search (TAC) facility of the patseer® has revealed most relevant patents on advancement in bubble electrospinning. After applying the family patent filter to the search result (33 patents), ten patents are selected for detailed study. The gist of the invention from each of the patent application or granted patent is recapitulated in this paper, along with their mosaics. Conclusion: Definite number of inventions are available in the field of bubble electrospinning technique. Inventions, which are disclosed, might have their pros and cons with respect to ease of acceptance by the industrial fraternity for large-scale production depending upon simplicity or complexity of the instrument. There is a profound scope of innovation in the bubble electrospinning technology in the areas like bubble stabilization, size and production rate control and much more.
