Abstract:
Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah untuk mengevaluasi penggunaan teknik silase dan spray dried terhadap daya cerna tepung darah pada ikan Nila. Penelitian ini memakain Rancangan Acak Lengkap dengan 3 perlakuan dan masing-masing 3 ulangan. Sebagai perlakuan adalah tepung darah tanpa teknik pengolahan (kontrol), tepung darah dengan teknik silase, dan tepung darah dengan teknik spray dried. Percobaan menggunakan benih Nila berbobot 7,0 g, tiap akuarium berisi 20 ekor benih ikan Nila. Nilai kecernaan protein, nilai kecernaan lemak, nilai kecernaan energi, dan nilai kecernaan total dievaluasi. Hasil penelitian memperlihatkan ada perbedaan diantara perlakuan secara nyata terhadap nilai kecernaan protein, nilai kecernaan lemak, nilai kecernaan energi, dan nilai kecernaan total (P<0,05). Nilai kecernaan protein, nilai kecernaan lemak, nilai kecernaan energi, dan nilai kecernaan total tertinggi dari perlakuan teknik silase adalah 96,56%, 90,48%, 94,15%, dan 92,08%.Kata Kunci: Silase darah, spray dried, nilai kecernaan, ikan Nila

Penggunaan pewarna sintetis dan pewarna yang dilarang, karena memiliki efek negatif bagi kesehatan, masih marak dijumpai dalam produksi makanan dan minuman. Kulit buah naga merah yang selama ini merupakan limbah, dapat dimanfaatkan untuk produksi pewarna alami karena proporsi kulit tersebut cukup besar dan mengandung pigmen antosianin. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mempelajari cara mikroenkapsulasi ekstrak kulit buah naga merah menggunakan maltodekstrin DE10-12 dengan teknik spray drying. Proses spray drying dilakukan pada suhu inlet 150-160ºC dan suhu outlet 70-80ºC serta konsentrasi maltodekstrin DE10-12 sebesar 10, 15, dan 20%. Dari hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa konsentrasi 20% memiliki rendemen tertinggi (40,59%), kadar air terendah (4,67%), dan tingkat kecerahan tertinggi (76,77). Abstract:
ZnO:Fe thin films has been successfully carried out by a simple spray pyrolysis method. The thin film was grown on ITO (Indium Tin Oxide) substrate with a metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) structure. ZnO:Fe thin film characters as photodetector application include morphological structure, and electrical properties. SEM image results show the molarity difference can affect the particle size. The Current-Voltage (I-V) characterization shows that different solvent effects and molarity give different sensitivity. Sample ZnO:Fe 0.5M Ethanol has the highest sensitivity compared to other samples because it has a fairly low current and high bright current.

Intermetallic compound Fe-AL has good strength and hardness properties. Those properties were required Io improve the wear resistance of component which its application always contact with another part like cutting tool in machining processes. This experiment was carried out to improve the wear resistance of metal, which in this case is high-speed steel (HSS M41). This preliminary experiment was focused on to form the Intermetallic compound Fe-Al layer in the surface Of the steel, This layer was obtained by metal spray technique in which Al-Si spray to the surface of base metal HSS M41 and then heat-treated at 850oC, The holding time of heat treatment for 4 hours, 6 hours and 8 hours respectively was used, Experimental results showed holding time of heat treatment process was influenced to forming the intermetallic layer, thickness and hardness was specimen with heat-treated at 850 OC and holding time 8 hours exhibit the maximum hardness of 1120 HV and also increase the lifetime from 1.84 days to 14.125 days. The thickness of intermetallic layer was 0.81 mm.

<p><em>Coprocessed</em> eksipien merupakan teknik untuk meningkatkan fungsi eksipien seperti kompaktibilitas dan daya alir serbuk. Kalsium karbonat digunakan sebagai diluen yang bersifat basa yang mempunyai sifat kompaktibilitas jelek, sedangkan Manitol merupakan material bersifat plastis dan telah dilaporkan dapat meningkatkan kekuatan dan kompaktibilitas tablet. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah meningkatkan fungsionalitas kalsium karbonat melalui pencampuran dengan manitol secara <em>spray</em> <em>dryin</em><em>g</em>. <em>Coprocessed</em> manitol-kalsium karbonat dibuat secara <em>spray drying </em>(SD-MC)<em> </em>dengan perbandingan 80:20; 60:40; 40:60; dan 20:80. Penetapan parameter proses <em>spray drying</em> dengan menggunakan konsentrasi larutan manitol 4%, 8% dan 12% pada suhu inlet 90<sup>o</sup>C sampai 110<sup>o</sup>C dan untuk <em>feed</em> <em>rate,</em> tekanan <em>air pump gauge,</em> <em>blower flow meter </em>dengan nilai berturut-turut 6 gram/menit, 1 kg/cm<sup>2</sup> dan 0,45 Nm<sup>3</sup>/menit. Serbuk SD-MC yang dihasilkan kemudian dievaluasi kompaktibilitas serbuk, uji difraksi sinar-X, FTIR dan SEM. Proses yang menghasilkan rendemen paling tinggi diberikan pada konsentrasi larutan manitol 4% dan suhu inlet 110 <sup>o</sup>C. Nilai <em>tensile</em> <em>strength</em> SD-MC pada daya kompresi 9,81 kN paling besar diperoleh pada perbandingan 60:40 yaitu sebesar 1,93 MPa. Sementara itu, hasil uji analisis difraksi sinar X memberikan puncak-puncak yang sama dengan setiap puncak komponen penyusunnya (manitol dan kalsium karbonat) dan uji FTIR dari serbuk <em>coprocessed </em>tidak terjadi interaksi, serta morfologi yang ditunjukan oleh SEM menunjukan serbuk <em>spray</em> <em>dryied </em>menghasilkan partikel sferis. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan, SD-MC dengan perbandingan 60:40 memiliki kompaktibilitas serbuk yang paling baik.</p>

The lack of supporting infrastructure facilities such as the Laboratory at Samudra University, especially in the Civil Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, has resulted in Samudra University having to work hard in building infrastructure to keep pace with advances in technology and science. This study aims to plan the dimensions and reinforcement of beams, columns, plates and stairs in the Civil Engineering Laboratory building. The laboratory building to be analyzed has a total of 3 floors with floor dimensions of 43 m x 27.49 m. Modeling and analysis of the structure of this building is assisted by the SAP2000 program using the Special Moment Bearing Frame System (SPRMK) and is designed according to SNI 03-1726-2012, SNI 03-2847-2013, and PPPURG 1987. The structure is planned to use concrete quality fc' 30 MPa and steel grade fy 400 MPa. The results of the analysis obtained that the floor slab thickness was 13 cm using D10-200 mm reinforcement for main reinforcement and D10-300 mm for split reinforcement. The thickness of the roof slab is 12 cm using D10-200 mm reinforcement for main reinforcement and D10-300 mm for split reinforcement. The dimensions of the B1 beam are 50 cm x 70 cm using 12D25 for the support area with D10-80 mm braces and 8D25 reinforcement for the field area with D10-120 mm braces. Begel B2 30 cm x 50 cm using 4D25 reinforcement for the support area and field with braces for D10-200 mm field and braces for D10-100 mm support. The dimensions of the K1 column are 60 cm x 80 cm using 10D25 reinforcement with D10-300 mm begel. The dimensions of the K2 column are 60 cm x 60 cm using 8D25 reinforcement with D10 -200 mm begel. The thickness of the ladder plate and landing was obtained 13 cm using D10-200 mm reinforcement.

Denna uppsats kommenterar min översättning från engelska till svenska av kapitel sju ur The IT support handbook av Mike Halsey. Källtextanalysen visar att texten är pedagogisk men jargongartad på grund av sin breda målgrupp. Syftet är att ge lättläst information och instruktioner. På grund av detta valdes Vermeers Skoposteori och Nords instrumentella översättning som översättningsprincip. Jag använder Nords kategorier för översättningsproblem och översättningssvårigheter för att diskutera arbetet. Svårigheterna är beroende av översättare och situation. Kategoriseringen tyder på att översättningsstudenter kan ha goda språkliga färdigheter men bristande sakkunskap. Lösningarna på främst konventionsrelaterade och lingvistiska problem visar att måltexten anpassats till mottagaren, vilket resulterat i en instrumentell översättning. Samtidigt tilläts vissa främmande drag från källkulturen som kulturella referenser kvarstå, eftersom dessa redan inkorporerats i målkulturen.
This essay covers my translation from English to Swedish of chapter seven of Mike Halsey’s The IT support handbook. The source text is pedagogical and easy to read, while also including a lot of jargon due to its broad target group. The purpose is giving easy to read information and instructions. The translation principle chosen is Vermeer and Nord’s skopos theory and instrumental translation. I use Nord’s categories of translation problems and difficulties for discussion. The difficulties suggest that translation students can have reliable linguistic skills but insufficient subject knowledge. The solutions for mainly convention-related and linguistic problems show how the target text has been adapted to its readers, resulting in an instrumental translation. Some cultural references remain in the target text however, since they were already incorporated into the target culture.

Mitt arbete syftar till att finna exempel på hur tyskan används som arbetsspråk inom svenskttekniskt yrkesutövande begränsat till det maskintekniska området inom och utom Sverige.Härigenom söker jag för min språkundervisning sätt att konkretisera behovet av flerspråkighetinför det kommande förvärvslivet för att motivera elever att välja att studera fler språk. För att fåsvar på frågeställningarna jag ställt har kvalitativa intervjuer med svenska tekniska företag ochderas medarbetare gjorts. Utifrån undersökningen har jag försökt finna vilka språkliga färdighetersom behövts och när tyskan är fördelaktigare än engelskan som arbetsspråk. Ur studien framkomatt skoltyskan inte räckte som arbetsspråk. Vidare fann jag exempel på att användningen av tyskai yrkessammanhang omedvetet främjar tillämpning av kulturell och social kompetens vidmänskligt mellanhavande.
My intention with the study was to find examples of how school taught German is applied in the Swedish technological work environment within the field of mechanical engineering within and outside the Swedish boarders. By this I tried to find ways to concretize for my future pupils the need of multilingual knowledge in the life of gainful employment in order to make them understand the importance of it and thereby motivate them to study more then one foreign language during their school years. To be able to find any answers to my questions, interviews with Swedish companies in the technological branch were done. With the interviews as a starting point I have tried to find out which linguistic skills are needed in the use of German and when German is more advantageous than English in the working environment. Further, I found example that showed the use of German in working environment in professional context unconsciously promotes application of cultural and social competence by human interaction.

Dagens svenska samhälle ställer stora krav på läskunnighet bland sin befolkning. För personer med olika typer av lässvårigheter innebär det problem att tillgodogöra sig skriven text i alla dess former. Hindren kan dock överbryggas med hjälp av tekniska läshjälpmedel.

För att ta reda på vilka kompensatoriska tekniska hjälpmedel som används i den svenska grundskolan och vilka lässvårigheter eleven har som får tillgång till läshjälpmedel gjordes intervjuer med tre specialpedagoger från två kommuner. Resultatet visade att det var ett fåtal läshjälpmedel av dem som marknaden erbjuder som används i det dagliga arbetet i grundskolan. Utnyttjandet av tekniska kompensatoriska läshjälpmedel är i ett inledningsskede. De elever som erbjöds tekniska läshjälpmedel är de som har stora svårigheter i läsprocessen och därmed uppnår de inte kursplanens mål.

New methods have been developed to find patterns and trends in order to gainknowledge from large datasets in various disciplines, such as bioinformatics, consumer behavior in advertising and weather forecasting.The goal of many of these new methods is to construct prediction models from the data. Linear regression, which is widely used for analyzing data, is very powerful ford etecting simple patterns, but higher complexity requires a more sophisticated solution. Regression trees split up the problem into numerous parts but they do not generalizewell as they tend to have high variance. Ensemble methods, a collection of regressiontrees, solves that problem by spreading the model over numerous trees. Ensemble methods such as Random Forest, Gradient Boosted Trees and Bayesian Additive Regression Trees, all have different ways to constructing prediction modelfrom data. Using these models for large datasets are computationally demanding.The aim of this work is to explore a parallel implementation of Bayesian Additive Regression Trees (BART) using Apache Spark framework. Spark is ideal in this case asit is great for iterative and data intensive jobs.We show that our parallel implementation is about 35 times faster for a dataset of pig's genomes. Most of the speed improvement is due to serial code modification that minimizes scanning of the data.The gain from parallelization is a speedup of 2.2x, gained by using four cores on aquad core system. Measurements on a computer clusters consisting of four computers resulted in a maximum speedup of 2.1x for eight cores.We should emphasize that these gains are heavily dependent on size of datasets.

Abstract:
As a supplier of sustainable transport solutions, Scania manufactures gas engines. Fueled with biogas, they offer a significant decrease in carbon dioxide emissions compared to standard diesel. The gas engines are fitted with a three-way catalytic converter, which converts hydrocarbons, carbon monoxide and nitrogen oxides from the combustion process to substances with less adverse effects. A misfire is an undesired lack of combustion. They are typically caused by faults in the ignition system, fuel system or by an unsuitable air/fuel ratio. If a misfire occurs, fuel may enter the catalytic converter where it combusts. This increases the temperature in the catalyst to above its design limit, permanently damaging it. The excess fuel also causes increased hydrocarbon emissions. Emission legislation mandates that malfunctions causing excess emissions must be continuously monitored by the vehicle. The misfire detection on engines sold in the North American market must comply with the stringent CARB legislation. It may also be assumed that upcoming European legislation will be stricter. Furthermore, current production engines use dedicated hardware to detect misfires. A misfire detection method that uses signals from sensors already fitted to the engine could result in cost savings. A literature study was performed, after which suitable methods to proceed with were chosen. Data was collected in an engine test cell, and was analyzed offline. Misfire detection methods based on exhaust pressure sensors and knock sensors were evaluated. A detection algorithm developed for Scania’s diesel engines was evaluated. With some modifications, it appears suitable for gas engines. Simplified variants of this method were developed with promising results. A method based on Fourier transform of a low-order frequency showed excellent results, perhaps at the expense of processor load. A knock sensor based method also showed some promise in detecting misfires. However, the position of the knock sensors appears critical, and further investigation is required. Classified parts of this thesis are replaced by the symbol □. Some plot axes are erased for the same reason.

Om en misständning sker kan oförbränt bränsle ta sig till katalysatorn, där bränslet förbränns. Detta ökar temperaturen i katalysatorn, vilket kan försämra dess prestanda. Det kan även leda till ökade utsläpp av kolväten. Fel som kan påverka utsläpp måste enligt lagstiftning kontinuerligt övervakas av fordonet. Scanias gasmotorer kan komma att säljas på den nordamerikanska marknaden, där kraven på misständningsdetektering är striktare än i övriga världen. Det kan även förväntas att kommande europeisk lagstiftning kommer att vara strängare än tidigare. Tekniken för misständningsdetektering på nuvarande gasmotorer använder dedikerad hårdvara. En misständningsdetekteringsmetod som använder signalen från befintliga givare kan leda till kostnadsbesparingar. Efter en litteraturstudie valdes lämpliga detekteringsmetoder ut för vidare undersökning. Data inhämtades från körningar i provcell och analyserades offline. Metoder baserade på avgasmottryck och på knacksensordata utvärderades. En algoritm utvecklad för misständningsdetektering på Scanias dieselmotorer utvärderades. Med vissa modifieringar verkar den gå att tillämpa på gasmotorer. Förenklade varianter av denna metod utvärderades, även dessa med lovande resultat. En metod baserad på Fouriertransform av lägre ordningens frekvenser i avgastrycksignalen visade utmärkta resultat, eventuellt på bekostnad av processorlast. En knacksensorbaserad metod uppvisade lovande resultat. Dock verkar placeringen av knacksensorerna vara kritisk, och vidare utvärdering krävs. Hemligstämplade delar i denna rapport har ersatts av symbolen □. Axelvärden i vissa figurer har raderats av samma skäl.

Studiens syfte var att analysera förskollärares konstruktioner av digital teknik i relation till språkutvecklande undervisning. Initialt studerades litteratur som behandlar utbildning, undervisning, digital teknik och språkutveckling. Vidare bygger studien på en fokusgruppsdiskussion med fyra förskollärare. Detta är en kvalitativ studie med innehållsanalytisk ansats ur ett socialkonstruktionistiskt perspektiv. Abstract:
The current pollution policies in all European and American countries are forcing the industry to movetowards a more efficient and environmentally friendly engines. On the other hand, customers requiremaintaining the power and fuel consumption. Lowering mainly nitrous oxides (NOx) and carbon particles(Soot) is therefore a challenging task with a very strong impact on mainly the automotive andaeronautical market.The purpose of the current work is to research the pollution production of automotive diesel enginesand optimize the fuel injection and piston geometry to lower the emissions. The interaction betweenfuel and air as well as the combustion are the two main physical and chemical processes governing thepollutants formation. Converged-CFD will be the CFD tool employed during the analysis of the previousproblems.The fuel-air interaction is related to jet break up, vaporization and turbulence. The strong dependenceon the surrounding flow field of the previous processes require the equations to be solved numericallywithin a CFD code. The fuel is to be placed in a combustion chamber (piston) where the spray will affectthe surrounding flow field and ultimately the combustion process.In order to accurately represent the nature of the processes, the current work is divided into two mainchapters. Spray modelling and Combustion Modelling. The first will help to accurately model the discretephase (fuel spray) and the vapour entrainment. The second chapter, combustion modelling willretrieve the knowledge gain in the first part to accurately represent the fuel injection in the chamber aswell as the combustion process to ultimately model the pollutants emissions.Finally, a piston bowl optimization will be performed using the previous analysed models and give theindustry a measure of the potential improvement by just adjusting the fuel injection or by modifyingthe piston bowl geometry.

Abstract:
At the Uppsala Monitoring Centre (UMC), individual case safety reports (ICSRs) are managed, analyzed and processed for publishing statistics of adverse drug reactions. On top of the UMC’s ICSR database there is a data processing tool used to analyze the data. Unfortunately, there are some constraints limiting the current processing-tool along with that the amount of arriving data to be processed grows at a rapid rate. The UMC’s processing system must be improved in order to handle future demands. In order to improve performance various frameworks forparallelization can be used. In this work, the in-memory computing framework Sparkwas used for parallelization of one of the current data processing tasks. Local clusters for running the new implementation in parallel was also established.

Skriftlig information från myndigheter har ofta ett rykte om sig att vara tungläst och svår att förstå. Detta trots att det finns lagkrav på att information från myndigheter ska vara skriven på ett lätt och begripligt sätt. Myndigheter arbetar efter ett antal råd, under det gemensamma namnet klarspråk för att uppfylla dessa krav på ett mer lättillgängligt språk.                      I detta examensarbete granskas läsbarheten i texter från Energimyndigheten. Vid en mätning av texternas läsbarhetsvärde (LIX) upptäcktes ingen ovanligt hög svårighetsgrad. Texterna upplevs trots detta som att de har en högre svårighetsgrad. Texternas läsbarhet och stil har därför analyserats för att hitta andra faktorer som kan ha påverkan på texternas läsbarhet. Analyserna visade att abstraktion var en av faktorerna som påverkar textens läsbarhet, och jag har därför valt att i detta arbete titta närmare på denna problematik. Abstraktionens påverkan på läsbarheten är känt inom forskning på området. Det finns dock en problematik inom forskningen att mäta abstraktion eller att bestämma vilka ord som ska anses abstrakta. Abstraktion har därför ofta förbisetts vad gäller att skriva på ett mer lättillgängligt sätt eller för att mäta en texts läsbarhet. Abstraktion och myndigheters egen terminologi hänger också ihop. De ord som läsaren är van vid upplevs som mindre abstrakta medan ovanligare terminologi upplevs som mer abstrakt, då läsaren inte är van vid dessa ord. Det är därför viktigt för myndigheter att tänka på mottagaranpassningen, är texterna anpassade till en mottagare utanför myndigheten, och vad förväntas läsaren ha för kunskaper inom området? Med detta i åtanke kommer texter från Energimyndigheten bearbetas för att få fram ett nytt mottagaranpassat material med ökad konkretion och läsbarhet.
Written information from agencies have a reputation of being hard to read and understand, even if there is a law that says that information from Swedish agencies should be written in a simple and understandable way. Agencies work with their writing after the principles of plain language, to live up to the demands of a simple and understandable language. In this report the readability of texts from the Swedish Energy Agency have been examined. When the texts readability was measured using a readability index (LIX), it did not indicate any significant difficulty. Despite this the texts can be perceived as more difficult. The texts readability and style have therefore been analysed in this report to find other causes that might affect the readability. The analysis showed that abstraction could be a factor that influences the texts readability, and I have chosen to look closer on that factor in this report. That there are effects of abstraction on readability is a well known fact, however it´s problematic to measure it and decide which words should be considered abstract. These problems have caused abstraction to be overlooked when it comes to writing more understandable and to measure texts readability.  Agencies own language also effects reading and how abstract a text appears to be. Words that the reader is used to appear less abstract then words that they are more used to. Therefore agencies own language can often appear more abstract to the reader. Text therefore needs to be adapted to the reader outside of the agency that is not used to their kind of language, and also consider the readers amount of knowledge on the subject. With all these things in consideration texts from The Swedish Energy Agency will be processed to create a new material adapted to the reader with increased concretion and readability.

Abstract:
With the emergence of various big data platforms in recent years, Apache Spark - a distributed large-scale computing platform, is perceived as a potential substitute for Message Passing Interface (MPI) in High Performance Computing (HPC). Due to the limitations in fault-tolerance, dynamic resource handling and ease of use, MPI, as a dominant method to achieve parallel computing in HPC, is often associated with higher development time and costs in enterprises such as Scania IT. This thesis project aims to examine Apache Spark as an alternative to MPI on HPC clusters and compare their performance in various aspects. The test results are obtained by running a compute- intensive application on both platforms to solve a Bayesian inference problem of a extended Lotka-Volterra model using particle Markov chain Monte Carlo methods. As is confirmed by the tests, Spark is demonstrated to be superior in fault tolerance, dynamic resource handling and ease of use, whilst having its shortcomings in performance and resource consumption compared with MPI. Overall, Spark proves to be a promising alternative of MPI on HPC clusters. As a result, Scania IT continues to explore Spark on HPC clusters for use in different departments.
