Abstract:
OSS/BSS-systems used by telecommunication companies to conduct their business are a combination of several subsystems that closely interact with each other. Since the activities of telecommunications companies are related to the processing of personal data of individuals and legal entities, such systems should be subjected to testing, which should continue until the end of the life cycle. The huge size of telecommunications companies' databases, as well as the number of tests required to cover the entire functionality of OSS/BSS-systems are an obstacle to conducting rapid testing. This article describes an approach to testing organization that solves this problem, based on the selection and keeping the test data up to date. The effectiveness of the proposed approach has been demonstrated experimentally.

Abstract:
The object of the current research is the process of routing data packets in a telecommunications network. It was established that the state and parameters of data transmission channels and routers could have a negative impact and need to be taken into account in the process of modeling the routing of data packets in telecommunication networks. A model of simulated dynamic modeling of data packet routing in telecommunication networks has been devised and proposed. The suggested model makes it possible to establish quantitative values of the delay time of processing data packets during their routing along a separate segment of the telecommunications network, taking into account the state and parameters of the data transmission channel and routers. It has been established that the achievement of the minimum delay time of data packets during routing is achieved by choosing the path of their transmission under the condition of minimum transmission time by communication lines and the capabilities of routers in terms of their accumulation and service speed. At the same time, the reduction of packet transmission delay time relative to the average for the time network segment can reach from 21 to 38 percent. It is shown that the main factor affecting the value of the delay time is the speed of data processing along the selected path of packet transmission. The number of routing nodes in a separate data transmission path can affect the delay time only if the parameters of the routers are equal compared to others that are included in alternative routes. The model of simulated dynamic modeling of data packet routing reported in this work, unlike the existing ones, takes into account the state and parameters of data transmission channels and routers. It can be used in practical improvement of existing and development of new multi-service telecommunication communication networks

Abstract:
Effectiveness of the application of telecommunications systems is directly influenced by the effectiveness of the functioning of each component and device of its design. The article directly examines the issue of improving the carrier frequency estimation methodology for data transmission in telecommunication management and distance learning systems. The essence of the solution lies in proposals for improving the efficiency of frequency estimation at the input signal synchronization stage, which is presented on the example of a satellite telecommunication control system and distance learning. Namely, the analysis of modern satellite telecommunications systems was carried out and the features that affect the effectiveness of carrier frequency estimation and input signal synchronization were determined. The main inconsistencies are the low energy of the input signal receiving channel, significant signal frequency uncertainty, and the presence of "neighboring channels" receiving the input signal. It was determined that satellite communication systems during data transmission work in the mode with multi-station access in the variant of operation with frequency division of channels, which can receive data packets in the mode of multiple access or when providing a data reception channel on demand. At the same time, the operation of telecommunications systems can proceed both in continuous and in batch modes of receiving the input signal. It is considered that coherent processing of the input signal is carried out in demodulators of satellite telecommunications and interference-resistant coding is used. To solve the task of estimating the carrier frequency of the input signal in coherent demodulators of modern satellite telecommunications, considering the above-defined inconsistencies and features, the article proposes a methodical approach. The essence of this approach is to determine the potential boundary of variances of the obtained estimates of the carrier frequency and to develop algorithms for estimating the carrier frequency of the input signal separately for continuous and batch modes of input data transmission based on the fast Fourier transform. Keywords: Frequency, signal, uncertainty, carrier, estimation.

Abstract:
The article considers the problem of modeling large data array processing in distributed information and telecommunication systems. The analysis of the problem, associated with the incorrect operation of the information system, is conducted. It is shown that distributed systems allow distribution of logic and data across multiple physical servers, which, with the correct allocation of resources and logic, makes it possible to reduce the risks of failures. It is demonstrated how the calculation of productivity loss percentage from a failure in one of the distributed information system components is carried out. A fragment of the diagram, outlining the options for the store information system application, is examined. If it is necessary to purchase physical servers when building an information system, then it is possible to calculate the coefficient of decrease in the performance of the information system in the event of a failure on one of the servers while ensuring the conditions for simultaneous operation of servers. The graph, illustrating the dependence of the performance change on the number of nodes that comprise the distributed network, is given. The analysis indicates that the cases when there are not too many servers have the greatest effect on reducing the risks from adding nodes to a distributed system. If a distributed system already consists of many different servers and any logic is duplicated on many of them, the risk reduction from adding an additional server will be negligible.

The paper describes the concept, architecture, and prototype test results of a packet processor that enables us to implement an application-specific high-speed packet processing system without expert-level programming skills. This processor has a pipelined processing architecture and features coarse-grained instructions that are based on the data formats of the telecommunication packet. Using this processor, target applications can be implemented within a short working period without degrading the processing performance. We implemented a prototype system to evaluate its packet propagation delay and packet forwarding performance. The measured results suggest that the architecture is useful for packet processing on high-speed telecommunication networks.

The power management of ICT systems, that is, data processing (Dp) and telecommunication (Tlc) systems, is becoming a relevant problem in economical terms. Dp systems totalize millions of servers and associated subsystems (processors, monitors, storage devices, etc.) all over the world that need to be electrically powered. Dp systems are also used in the government of Tlc systems, which, besides requiring Dp electrical power, also requireTlc-specificpower, both formobilenetworks (with their cell-phone towers and associated subsystems: base stations, subscriber stations, switching nodes, etc.) and forwirednetworks (with their routers, gateways, switches, etc.). ICT research is thus expected to investigate into methods to reduce Dp- and Tlc-specific power consumption. However, saving power may turn into waste of performance, in other words, into waste of ICT quality of service (QoS). This paper investigates the Dp and Tlc power management policies that look at compromises between power saving and QoS.

The method of identifying an anomalous situation based on segmentation of data sample is proposed. The method is aimed at using classifying algorithms that have the best quality indicators on individual data segments. The proposed method will be useful for monitoring information security systems. The method registers of factors that affect the change in the properties of targeted variables. Impact detection allows you to generate data samples, depending on current and expected situations. On the example of the NSL-KDD dataset, there was a division of many data into subset, taking into account the influence of the factors on the range of values. The processing of factors is shown using the change point detection function in the time series. With its use, a division of data sample by the final number of non-intersecting measurable subsets has been made. The results of Accuracy, Precision, F-Measure, Recall for various classifiers are shown. The proposed method allows to increase the quality indicators of classification in continuously changing operating conditions of telecommunication systems.</span>

Abstract:
In network telemetry systems, nodes produce vast number of configuration files based on how they are configured. Steps were taken to process these files into databases to help the work of the developers, testers and customer support to focus on the development and testing and to be able to give advice to the customers about how to configure the nodes. However, the processing of these data in relational database manager system is slow, hard to query and the storage takes huge disk space. In this paper, we are presenting a way to store the data produced by these nodes in graph database, changing from relational database to NoSQL environment. With our approach, one can easily represent and visualize the network of machines. In the end, we are going to compare the inserting, querying time and storage size in different database manager systems. The results could also be used for other types of configuration data too from other kinds of machines to show the connection between them and query them easily.

Abstract:
The article describes the use of Grid technology in telecommunication systems and the creation of Grid telecommunication systems. Network service providers are focusing on huge consolidated data centers. Particular attention began to be paid to improving the methods of scheduling data processing tasks. The shortcomings of modern approaches to planning are considered. These include the inability to provide the maximum total priority of tasks performed at individual planning stages in distributed computing systems. The developed planning procedure is described. It overcomes this shortcoming. But at the same time, to reduce the total processing time of tasks in the system in comparison with the planning procedure based on solving the problem of the least coverage. The desire for the maximum sum of priorities of the selected tasks is the main criterion for selecting tasks from the queue, which we will characterize by the importance coefficient. The coefficient of preservation of importance and the coefficient of acceleration of the operation of the Grid system segment are described. The article also proposes a solution to improve the efficiency and quality of task servicing. It is proposed to expand the functionality of distributed telecommunication systems based on the use of computer clusters using Grid technologies.

Abstract:
We review recent work on all-fiber (long-period fiber grating) devices for optical pulse shaping, particularly flat-top pulse generation, down to the subpicosecond range and their application for nonlinear switching (demultiplexing) of optical time-division multiplexed (OTDM) data signals in fiber-optic telecommunication links operating up to 640 Gbit/s. Experiments are presented demonstrating error-free 640-to-10 Gbit/s demultiplexing of the 64 tributary channels using the generated flat-top pulses for temporal gating in a Kerr-effect-based nonlinear optical loop mirror. The use of flat-top pulses has critical benefits in the demultiplexing process, including a significantly increased timing-jitter tolerance (up to ~500 fs, i.e., 30% of the bit period) and the associated improvement in the bit-error-rate performance (e.g., with a sensitivity increase of up to ~13 dB as compared with the use of Gaussian-like gating pulses). Long-period fiber grating pulse shapers with reduced polarization dependence are fabricated and successfully used for polarization-independent 640-to-10 Gbit/s demultiplexing experiments.

Abstract:
Telecommunication traffic prediction is an important aspect of data analysis and processing in communication networks. In this study, we utilize the least-squares support vector machine (LSSVM) prediction method to improve the prediction performance of telecommunication traffic. As the parameters of LSSVM are difficult to determine, we propose to optimize the LSSVM parameters using the improved artificial bee colony (IABC) algorithm based on the fitness-prediction strategy (i.e. FP-IABC). We employ real traffic data collected on site to establish a telecommunication traffic forecasting model based on FP-IABC optimizing LSSVM (FP-IABC-LSSVM). The experiment results indicate that in the case involving no increase in the computational complexity, the proposed telecommunication traffic forecasting model-based FP-IABC-LSSVM has a higher prediction accuracy than the prediction model based on the ABC optimizing LSSVM (ABC-LSSVM), particle swarm optimizing LSSVM (PSO-LSSVM), and genetic algorithm optimizing LSSVM (GA-LSSVM). Further, with respect to the standard root mean square error and the average computation time, the proposed FP-IABC-LSSVM is the optimal prediction method of all of the comparison methods. The proposed prediction method not only improves the prediction accuracy, but also reduces the average computation time.

The score model consists of two components: service quality score and connectivity score models. It also incorporates human psychological impacts such as the peak and end effects. We implement a large-sized data processing system that manages real-time service logs to generate quality scores at the customer level using big data processing technology and analysis techniques. The experimental results confirm the validity of the developed model in distinguishing probable complaint callers. With the adoption of the system, the first call resolution rate of the call center increased from 45% to 73%, and the field engineer dispatch rate from 46% to 25%.

Abstract:
This work is focused on creating an open-source software-based solution for monitoring traffic transmitted through gigabit passive optical network. In this case, the data are captured by the field-programmable gate array (FPGA) card and reassembled using parsing software from a passive optical network built on the International Telecommunication Unit telecommunication section (ITU-T) G.984 gigabit-capable passive optical network GPON recommendation. Then, the captured frames are converted by suitable software into GPON frames, which will be further processed for analysis. Due to the high transfer rate of GPON recommendations, the work describes the issue of writing to the Mongo database system. In order to achieve the best possible results and minimal loss of transmitted frames, a series of tests were performed. The proposed test scenarios are based on different database writing approaches and are implemented in the Python and C# programming languages. Based on our results, it has been shown that the high processing speed is too high for Python processing. Critical operations must be implemented in the C# programming language. Due to rapid application development, Python can only be used for noncritical time-consuming data processing operations.

Abstract:
This paper investigates and proposes a solution for Protocol Independent Switch Architecture (PISA) to process application layer data, enabling the inspection of application content. PISA is a novel approach in networking where the switch does not run any embedded binary code but rather an interpreted code written in a domain-specific language. The main motivation behind this approach is that telecommunication operators do not want to be locked in by a vendor for any type of networking equipment, develop their own networking code in a hardware environment that is not governed by a single equipment manufacturer. This approach also eases the modeling of equipment in a simulation environment as all of the components of a hardware switch run the same compatible code in a software modeled switch. The novel techniques in this paper exploit the main functions of a programmable switch and combine the streaming data processor to create the desired effect from a telecommunication operator perspective to lower the costs and govern the network in a comprehensive manner. The results indicate that the proposed solution using PISA switches enables application visibility in an outstanding performance. This ability helps the operators to remove a fundamental gap between flexibility and scalability by making the best use of limited compute resources in application identification and the response to them. The experimental study indicates that, without any optimization, the proposed solution increases the performance of application identification systems 5.5 to 47.0 times. This study promises that DPI, NGFW (Next-Generation Firewall), and such application layer systems which have quite high costs per unit traffic volume and could not scale to a Tbps level, can be combined with PISA to overcome the cost and scalability issues.

Abstract:
Qualified telecommunication facilities and infrastructure complement the convergence of technology applications. One of the most widely used by the public is Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms. However, it raises a new problem as domestic operator service providers are aggrieved by OTT platforms that are gaining more popularity despite their unclear legal standing. The Indonesian government responded by issuing a number of regulations. This study describes the regulations governing telecommunications and OTT platforms in Indonesia as well as pointing out the consequences and challenges of the issuance of these new regulations by taking into account the conditions of the national electronic system. This study applied a qualitative method with a normative juridical approach. Data was collected through an online literature review with analytical descriptive data processing. The results of this study elucidate the four latest regulations governing the telecommunications service sector and OTT platforms. These regulations are complementary, even though digital taxes are still seen as challenges in the form of whose outcomes are considered to have not touched the Indonesian people in general. In this instance, it demonstrates that regulations are complementary, as is the case with natural law theory, and that the law adapts to social life.

Abstract:
Telecom fraud detection is of great significance in online social networks. Yet the massive, redundant, incomplete, and uncertain network information makes it a challenging task to handle. Hence, this paper mainly uses the correlation of attributes by entropy function to optimize the data quality and then solves the problem of telecommunication fraud detection with incomplete information. First, to filter out redundancy and noise, we propose an attribute reduction algorithm based on max-correlation and max-independence rate (MCIR) to improve data quality. Then, we design a rough-gain anomaly detection algorithm (MCIR-RGAD) using the idea of maximal consistent blocks to deal with missing incomplete data. Finally, the experimental results on authentic telecommunication fraud data and UCI data show that the MCIR-RGAD algorithm provides an effective solution for reducing the computation time, improving the data quality, and processing incomplete data.

Abstract:
In today's digital world, saturated with data flows, universal multifunctional systems are developing, capable of solving various problems related to optimizing the use of available computing resources. A distinctive feature of such systems is the heterogeneity of incoming flows of user requests due to the multifunctionality of modern information systems, expressed in supporting various multimedia services on a single platform. Data heterogeneity and large volumes of data create many problems related to the speed of digital systems and data storage security. The solutions can be found in artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, particularly machine learning. Therefore, development and implementation of digital telecommunication complexes for storing, processing, and forming a dynamic flow of multiformat data using AI technologies are becoming more relevant. This paper aims to identify trends and prospects for developing these complexes, and develop proposals on their perspective characteristics. The authors focused on review the experience of Russian organizations developing multi-object analytics systems and analyze the technical and functional characteristics of existing systems. The result of the review and analysis is a table with a comparison of the technical characteristics of existing complexes and proposals for characteristics that are promising for further implementation.

Abstract:
Telecommunication operators are massively moving their network functions in small data centers at the edge of the network, which are becoming increasingly common. However, the high performance provided by commonly used technologies for data plane processing such as DPDK, based on kernel-bypass primitives, comes at the cost of rigid resource partitioning. This is unsuitable for edge data centers, in which efficiency demands both general-purpose applications and data-plane telco workloads to be executed on the same (shared) physical machines. In this respect, eBPF/XDP looks a more appealing solution, thanks to its capability to process packets in the kernel, achieving a higher level of integration with non-data plane applications albeit with lower performance than DPDK. In this paper we leverage the recent introduction of AF_XDP, an XDP-based technology that allows to efficiently steer packets in user space, to provide a thorough comparison of user space vs in-kernel packet processing in typical scenarios of a data center at the edge of the network. Our results provide useful insights on how to select and combine these technologies in order to improve overall throughput and optimize resource usage.

Abstract:
The article defines the system features, properties and characteristics of information and telecommunication networks of automated environmental safety systems: information reliability and proven efficiency as a fundamental characteristic of system perfection. The main task of this research is to standardize the highest level of information and telecommunications networks architecture that provide the creation, processing, storage, deletion and transportation of information. In this case, the architecture is considered as a single for: all types of networks (including network services): optical transport network, Internet network (data network), fixed telephone network, mobile network and all types of products, customers, services, resources, aspects of management. A very important requirement is that the system architecture should not change when changing the structure of products, market requirements or the structure of the company. Standardization of information systems architecture involves: defining a complete list of architecture components; determination of functional boundaries of components; definition of interfaces (protocols) of interaction of components. The main purpose of architecture standardization is: to reduce the implementation of telecommunications services by reducing the time for implementation and modernization of information systems, and increase the efficiency of implementation of information systems, as well as reduce costs for their creation and operation by: avoiding duplication of functions; use of open interfaces; repeated use of the same type of elements. The research concerns the structural synthesis of the architectures of four main telecommunication networks: transport, IP, mobile and fixed. Eight sets of network resources (levels) were selected to standardize each network architecture. Based on the results of the analysis, it is possible to draw a conclusion about the development potential of each network depending on the trends of modern telecommunications services. The telecommunication services means of production architecture, which include platforms of network resources and network services, is considered. The article proposes a methodological basis for the synthesis of information and communication technology systems in order to establish a single information platform, which is presented as a universal architecture of information and communication systems. The messaging service is considered in the context of: one workstation, one domain and interconnection between domains. The efficiency of information transmission systems is considered. When evaluating different communication systems, two indicators were taken into account: efficiency and noise immunity; their combination gives a fairly complete description of the system. The most perfect system is the one that provides the greatest efficiency at a given noise immunity or, conversely, the greatest noise immunity at a given efficiency.

Abstract:
The identification of customer churn is a major issue for large telecom businesses. In order to manage the data of current customers as well as acquire and manage new customers, every day, a substantial volume of data gets generated. Therefore, it's crucial to identify the causes of client churn so that the appropriate steps can be taken to lower it. Numerous researchers have already discussed their efforts to combine static and dynamic approaches in order to reduce churn in big data sets, but these systems still have many issues when it comes to actually identifying churn. In this paper, we suggested two methods, the first of which is churn identification and using Natural Language Processing (NLP) methods and machine learning techniques, we make predictions based on a vast telecommunication data set. The NLP process involves data pre-processing, normalization, feature extraction, and feature selection. For feature extraction, we employ unique techniques like TF-IDF, Stanford NLP, and occurrence correlation methods, have been suggested. Throughout the lesson, a machine learning classification algorithm is used for training and testing. Finally, the system employs a variety of cross validation techniques and training and evaluating Machine learning algorithms. The experimental analysis shows the system's efficacy and accuracy.

Abstract:
<p>The use of mobile applications extends to the telecommunication sector, mainly due to COVID-19. Failure to provide it can cause dissatisfaction and result in the removal of the mobile application. Moreover, this leads to lost service opportunities, so paying attention to the mobile application's quality is essential. There has yet to be a study on measuring the service quality of a self-service mobile application in the telecommunication sector using online customer reviews. This study uses sentiment analysis and topic modeling to determine the service quality of a self-service mobile application in the telecommunication sector from reviews on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This study uses myIndiHome as a case study. The total data obtained from both platforms are 20,452 reviews. Sentiment analysis was performed using Naïve Bayes, support vector machine, and logistic regression, while topic modeling was performed using latent dirichlet allocation. The results show that logistic regression performs better than support vector machine and Naïve Bayes. Meanwhile, topic modeling shows that the positive review data has three topics, including application features, products/services, and application interfaces. Moreover, the negative review data has five topics, including application availability, application feature reliability, application processing speed, bugs, and application reliability.</p>

Abstract:
Knowledge of behavioral patterns of a system can contribute to an optimized management and governance of the same system, or of similar systems. While human experience often manifests itself as intuition, intuition can be notoriously misleading, particularly in the case of quantitative data and subtle relations between different data sets. This article augments managerial intuition with knowledge derived from a specific byproduct of automated transaction processing performance and log data of the processing software. More specifically, the authors consider data generated by incident management and ticketing systems within IT support departments. The authors’ approach utilizes a rigorous analysis methodology based on System Dynamics. This allows for identifying real causalities and hidden dependencies between different datasets. The authors can then use them to derive and assemble knowledge bases for improved management and governance in this context. This approach is able to provide more in depth insights as compared to typical data visualization and dashboard techniques. In the experimental results section, the authors demonstrate the feasibility of the approach. It is applied on real life datasets and log files from an international telecommunication provider and considered different improvements in management and governance that result from it.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the study of theoretical and methodological principles and practical recommendations for the use of information resource protection technology for the effective functioning of video communication systems. With the development of international relations in society, the introduction of information and telecommunication technologies, Ukraine is actively developing and implementing video conferencing technology, creating and implementing virtual events, webinars, video conferencing and online broadcasts. The use of such systems allows you to get a variety of information, use textual and visual graphics, and so on. For video conferencing systems are relevant threats to information security, which are inherent in any information and telecommunications system. One of the main problems of organizing a reliable video conferencing system is to ensure the optimal data rate at the maximum speed of audio and video processing. The main types of information are considered and the directions of maintaining information security of information and telecommunication systems in accordance with the legislation of Ukraine are determined. The main types of information security are related to the protection of confidentiality, integrity and accessibility and to the confirmation of authorship. To ensure the reliability of the video conferencing system, the protection of open information from unauthorized actions is used, which leads to its accidental or intentional modification or destruction, authorization of users. The tasks of user authorization are management of access rights, collection of statistics and acts as an additional means of ensuring the reliability of the system. Ensuring the protection of information resources is carried out through the use of means and methods of technical protection, implementation of organizational and technical measures of a comprehensive information protection system. Studies of these methods make it possible to distribute the load on all elements of the system in proportion to their resources and characteristics.
