Full textWorld mobile telecommunications have contributed, in different ways, to the improvement of life quality in our society; hence, as a dynamic sector of the economy, it must place life quality’s improvement as its main priority. Moreover, a committed country on developing this area will have be a greater opportunity of reducing social gaps besides generating the development of most of the economy’s sectors, without mentioning what it means for our society the democratization of information and knowledge. Likewise, our society has definitely migrated to a new era of information which represents the main support for its development. In this context, Colombia has not been indifferent to aim to this goal and thus the mobile telecommunications represent an attractive field for being analyzed. Therefore, this research project focuses on the development of a Strategic Plan for the Colombian mobile Telecommunications sector. As a result, the methodological development was done based on the The Strategic Process: A Management Approach by PhD Fernando D’Alessio Ipinza, who settled down the basis for achieving the outlined vision. Furthermore, the strategies proposed are focused on achieving a better access to the services, which means that Colombia must work on accomplishing a more competitive regulatory framework that would grant investment, and so the participation of more competitors; in addition to the strengthening of its infrastructure investment, which clearly has an important prospect to promote the generation of the added value in the Colombian productive sector, focusing on mobile telecommunications. Then, in a few years, Colombia would be recognized as pioneer by having an evident focus on the country's efforts in these strategies though the maximization of our economic development.

Full textTranstelco is a Mexican private company that is dedicated to the installation, operation and commercialization of connectivity services such as dedicated business Internet, private line links and other complementary services, through its own fiber optic network has a deployment of more than 10,000 kilometers This company is a very small competitor even in the sector of broadband internet for business and competes with large companies such as América Móvil with its subsidiary Telmex, Grupo Televisa with its subsidiary Izzy, and others also important as Total Play, Axtel alestra and Megacable. Transtelco has competitive advantages that in the long term can be carried out to become an important supplier in the Mexican market. Some of the competitive advantages of this company are (a) its high stability in the service, (b) its unique binational network and (c) its organizational culture. The Mexican government is always promoting important reforms in the telecommunications sector that in the short term allow to 100% foreign capital to invest in Mexican territory, this translates into higher levels of competition, this is why a Strategic Plan is proposed for an eight-year horizon for Transtelco to become the second most important provider of fixed broadband services in the Mexican business sector.

El presente trabajo de tesis tiene como objetivo principal elaborar un plan de negocios para prestar servicios de capacitación a microempresas que desarrollan sus actividades en la construcción de sitios y montaje de antenas de telecomunicaciones. El estudio fue realizado para estudiar la posibilidad de concretar un emprendimiento personal sustentable y rentable en el mediano plazo, el cual entregue un valor agregado especialmente a los trabajadores y empresas, las que han manifestado la necesidad de capacitación con mayor especificidad en tareas de alto riesgo. La metodología propuesta para abordar este desafío fue investigar quienes son los actores principales del mercado de la capacitación en Chile, el funcionamiento y beneficios otorgados por el gobierno en esta materia. De los datos obtenidos tanto de registros administrativos del estado como entrevistas realizadas a potenciales clientes dan paso a definir el mercado objetivo y determinar la creciente demanda por satisfacer. Mediante un análisis interno y externo se determinó cuan interesante es el potencial de la industria, las principales amenazas y competidores que se desenvuelven en el medio. Bajo una estrategia de marketing de diferenciación se espera crecer en el mediano plazo, dado el conocimiento y experiencia de los socios involucrados en este emprendimiento. Como resultado de lo expuesto en el párrafo anterior se definieron factores críticos de éxito los que llevaron a formular estrategias genéricas, competitivas y de posicionamiento para ofrecer servicios de capacitación a los trabajadores a través de una percepción de aprendizaje de calidad y lograr ser recomendados por clientes satisfechos con el servicio satisfaciendo la demanda del mercado objetivo. Después de desarrollar el proyecto en su conjunto la evaluación económica nos arroja para el escenario optimista (con crecimiento de 35% anual) un VAN=$48.510.896, con una TIR de 74%. Con los indicadores obtenidos se recomienda llevar a cabo el negocio. Finalmente se puede decir que el proyecto no presenta grandes volúmenes de utilidad, más el valor agregado que se quiere inferir es poner de manifiesto que hay un nicho no satisfecho de requerimiento de capacitaciones por trabajadores y microempresarios que no tienen acceso a calidad y disponibilidad de horarios para realizar cursos de prevención en faenas altamente peligrosas.

Full textThe mobile phone industry in Peru plays a key role in goal achievement set by the government towards integration, global access telecommunications, economic and social development of the country. Peru’s economic sustained growth demands the integration of all different productive industries, which requires converging services in telecommunications, mobility and permanent ubiquity. These services are also requested by the population, due to their communication needs. This document was prepared under a methodological approach, developed by Dr. D'Alessio. It covers objectives and strategies obtained and applied in the industry. By 2025, the industry objective proposes that all districts in Peru will be interconnected through the mobile phone network, improving the quality of life of users and the economic development of the country. For this purpose, five long -term objectives has been set: reach mobile phone coverage in every districts of Peru, have at least six telecommunication companies in the Peruvian market, offer at least six telephone operating companies, make half of the mobile network is supported with IMT advanced technologic platforms, achieve a market penetration of 80 lines per 100 inhabitants at least in each department and achieve a satisfaction level in all value chain participants with a "Very Good" rating scale, at least. Likewise, it concludes that the expansion of the industry will promote country’s economic development through job creation and it will strengthen regions’ integration nationwide. This will directly affect the improvement of quality life and the population’s economy. It is advised that the Government outline financial incentives, regulations and pending policies in order to offer necessary conditions to generate greater competition in the industry and assign a responsible entity to follow up the compliance of STO (short- term objectives) within the deadline, so as to ensure the achievement LTO (long-term objectives) On the other hand, the future of industry is closely related to other productive industries such as: health, education, finances, business, etc with which new products must be developed that combined with TIC will turn into the communication, production and future connectivity means and tool. Worldwide geographical barriers will disappear and new business opportunity will be generated; therefore gaining relevant value in the development of country and citizen.

Full textThe main objective of this thesis was to prepare a Strategic Plan for the company Movistar Peru based on the Sequential Model of the Strategic Process of D'Alessio (2015), which includes the formulation and planning, implementation and management, and the control and evaluation. This Plan that will allow Movistar to move from its current situation to become a leading telecommunications company that provides the Peruvian market with high quality, innovative services to connect people and improve their quality of life. The Strategic Plan includes Corporate values proposed for the company: (a) Integrity, (b) Diversity, (c) Transparency, (d) Customer-Oriented Service, and (e) Responsibility. The aforementioned values are aligned with the strategic axis of the Bicentennial Plan developed by the Peruvian Government (2014) and served as guidelines to establish seven long-term objectives to be achieved by the year 2023, 19 internal strategies, among which 10 were retained. Moreover, it is important to highlight that the long- and short-term objectives presented in this document have been identified from an ethical point of view of doing business, mainly focused on customer satisfaction and wellbeing of the Peruvian population, as well as on Movistar’s stakeholders. These objectives include spreading the 4G technology all over the Peruvian territory serving the entire rural communities and improving the infrastructure within the country in order to implement up-to-date communication technologies such as 5G.
