Temne belongs to the South Atlantic Group of Niger-Congo (formerly the Southern Branch of the Atlantic Group of Niger-Congo; Blench 2006, Childs 2010) spoken in the northern part of Sierra Leone. According to Ethnologue (ISO 639–3: tem, Lewis 2009), Temne has a population of about 1.2 million native speakers. Like other South Atlantic languages, Temne is a tonal language with a noun class system, prefixed noun class markers and agreeing prefixes on dependent elements. Features determining class membership include number and animacy. Temne also features extension suffixes which alter the valency or the semantic structure of simple verb stems. The basic word order is Subject–Verb–Object.

ABSTRACTMany personal names in Temne (a Mel language spoken in Sierra Leone) are borrowed from other languages, and some contain foreign sounds and sequences which are unpronounceable for Temne speakers when they appear in other words. Contrary to what would be expected within a model of borrowing in which foreign sounds and sequences are modified over time to conform with the borrowers' language, the foreign sounds and sequences which occur in Temne names are stable. This paper treats these exceptions to the Temne phonological System as instances of phonological stereotyping – cases in which sounds and sequences, although they may be exceptions to the core phonology of a language, have acquired expressive meaning. Raziskava spolnih stereotipov v treh slovanskih romanih je dvodelna: prvi del predstavi spolne stereotipe, drugi pa se ukvarja z njihovo analizo in interpretacijo v naslednjih romanih: Filio ni doma Berte Bojetu, Kot da me ni Slavenke Drakulić in Temna ljubezen Alexandre Berkove. Študija je nakazala, da so ključne kategorije za sodobni pristop k spolnim stereotipom androginost, fantazma, performans in kritika mizoginije, za spolne stereotipe v (obravnavanih) romanih pa je usoden globalni spolni stereotip – moški je glava in ženska je srce. Njegova nevarnost je v Filio ni doma prepoznana kot antiutopično sredstvo razosebljanja ljudi, v Kot da me ni kot potrditev agresivnega moškosrediščnega principa, medtem ko je v Temni ljubezni stereotipna spolna socializacija obsojena kot perverzna ideologija (moškega) nasilja s pomočjo naslednjih stereotipov: ženska-negovalka, ženska-služabnica moškemu in otroku, ženska-občudovalka moškega, moški-gospodar.

Kurang Energi Kronik (KEK) dan Anemia pada ibu hamil merupakan 4 (empat) masalah gizi yang saat ini mendapat perhatian khusus. Upaya preventif yang dapat dilakukan pada kasus anemia dan KEK pada ibu hamil dapat dilakukan melalui Pemberian Makanan Tambahan (PMT). PMT pada ibu hamil dapat berupa pangan lokal atau pabrikan dan minuman. Salah satu pangan lokal yang telah di teliti dan terbukti dapat meningkatkan kadar hemoglobin (Hb) adalah produk olahan berbasis tepung tempe. Berdasarkan analisis situasi diperoleh data bahwa ibu hamil di wilayah tersebut sudah terbiasa mengkonsumsi tempe sehingga perlu adanya modifikasi olahan tempe menjadi yang lebih bergizi dan memiliki nilai jual serta dapat mendukung peningkatan kadar Hb ibu hamil. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut diperlukan adanya kegiatan pelatihan pembuatan olahan kudapan berbasis tepung tempe. Metode yang dilakukan adalah memberikan ceramah di kelas dan pelatihan pembuatan kudapan berbasis tepung tempe di laboratorium penyelenggaraan makanan. Peserta adalah ibu hamil di Kelurahan Pedurungan Tengah sebanyak 30 ibu hamil, Hasil kegiatan pengabmas saat pre-test di dapatkan 11 peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang baik dan 19 peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang cukup, hasil post-test dari 30 peserta 26 peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan yang baik dan 4 peserta memiliki pengetahuan dan ketrampilan cukup sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan pengetahuan tentang kadar Hb ibu hamil dan ketrampilan tentang pembuatan kudapan berbasis tepung tempe lebih bergizi serta diharapkan dapat menjadi penggerak pelaksanaan program perbaikan gizi masyarakat terutama meningkatkan kadar Hb ibu hamil melalui upaya perubahan perilaku dan peningkatan kemandirian finansial.

Abstract Seneca His Tenne Tragedies (1581) was the first printed collection of Seneca’s tragedies in English. This article re-examines this publication in the context of early modern production of collected unannotated editions of Seneca’s tragedies on the European mainland, and of the editorial and intellectual interests of its compiler, Thomas Newton. It identifies Newton as something of an early modern ‘print professional’, who was involved in the production of a wide variety of texts, translations, and commendatory poetry, and who used a variety of sophisticated strategies in print to draw attention to and to promote his own capacities and achievements; and it shows how the Tenne Tragedies participates in these practices. Attending to Newton’s activities alongside Jasper Heywood’s translation of Hercules furens reveals significant discontinuities in approach between the Tenne Tragedies and one of its constituent texts. Heywood’s translation first appeared in 1561 in a parallel-text format that was not designed for inclusion in a single-language collection such as the Tenne Tragedies, as one early modern reader’s response to the translation in this later printed context may show. Newton’s presentation of the Tenne Tragedies volume, and his particular attitude towards ‘Seneca’, complicates current critical understanding of the reception and uses of Senecan tragedy in Elizabethan England, and of any ‘project’ of Senecan translation in the period, which may be more an effect of Newton’s editorial proclivities, combined with modern understanding of Seneca as a single author, than reflective of attitudes towards Senecan tragedy in early modern England more generally.

The purpose of this study is to describe elitist language on the Humor Recehku Instagram account, namely (1) non-standard word forms; (2) abbreviated forms that cause non-standard; and (3) word forms from foreign languages. The method used in this research is the descriptive method. The data collection technique was done by observing and taking notes. Data analysis used Miles and Huberman qualitative analysis, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions and levers. This research leads to the content analysis “content analysis”. The data in this study are in the form of words, phrases, and sentences that experience language shifts in an elitist form. The results of this study indicate that there is a language shift in the case of using elitist language in the Humor Recehku Instagram account. First, non-standard word forms include non-standard words without a play (emang, gini, telfon, sampe, ngerasa dan sebagainya); non-standard words with a pun (Oktrouble dan gw); and non-standard words weakening phonemes (males, denger, bener-bener, ye, cakep, anjeng, kecapean, dan temen). Second, abbreviations that cause non-standard abbreviated standard words (sm, org, krn, dan trs); and abbreviated non-standard words (not and yesterday2). Third, foreign language words are divided into (typing, excuse, mood and so on); phrase (self-reminder, close friend IG); and sentences (is the best kind of sleep, oh well honey, you keep your small circle, and friend with many but trust any).

South Sulawesi's Lake Tempe is a popular tourist site. Many foreigners, both locally and internationally, visit Lake Tempe. The quality of the guide's service has a significant impact on the smoothness and comfort of travel in Tempe. As a result, a training and mentoring program for foreign-language tourism performers in the Tempe Lake area is required. The PKM program is carried out in stages: (1) PKM participant selection; (2) PKM briefing participants; (3) survey site; (4) PKM program socialization; (5) debriefing tourist actors; and (6) twice-weekly training and mentorship for three months. In total, 25 meetings were held to provide training and mentorship. The training team enhances the vocabulary at the start of the training, and subsequently, the material and speaking are intensified by the team. The assessment's findings revealed a significant increase: (1) There were three people in the very good group, 25 in the good category, and two in the bad category when it came to vocabulary ability. (2) There are 26 persons who are classified as good at tenses, and just four people who are classified as less good. (3) In terms of speaking skill, four people were rated as very good, 25 were rated as good, and one was rated as less good.

One of the tempeh craftsmen villages is Parerejo, Purwodadi Subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency. A total of 107 work and depend on their income as tempeh producers in that area. Thus far, most of the craftsmen only sold it in the form of fresh tempeh. Only view people are using tempeh as tempeh chips. Consequenetly, the tempeh are not sold on a day that is wasted due to the shelf life is not long enough. The introducing of implementers was carried out slowly and kinship before the main program was carried out. This program used fresh tempeh which was adjusted to the implementation of food technology knowledge. This was conducted by processing fresh tempeh into three types of diversified tempeh products such as mendoan tempeh, tempeh balls, and tempeh rolade. In this service program, communicative language was used to accompany knowledge transfer about tempeh processing to the tempe craftsmen community. This program was conducted to intend that the given information can be accepted by the community, so that this community service program get a positive response. After conducting counseling and training to the tempeh craftsmen community, some of enthusiastic were got from craftsmen when they did the activities. Most of the craftsmen did not yet know the diversification of processed tempeh products that were delivered by the team. As a result of this service program, it can be concluded that these activities were very beneficial for the tempeh craftsmen community in Parerejo Village and they hope that the service activities with more various materials.

Neist üks käsitleb meililisti Syndicate lagunemist ja vahetumist listiga Spectre. Teine käsitleb konflikti 1996. aastal näitusel „Interpol – a global network from Stock- holm and Moscow“. Kolmas juhtum on seotud Peeter Linnapi korraldatud näitusega „Le Top 50“ (1994), kus prooviti astuda otsekontakti lääne kuns- timaailma tippudega. Viimase näite täiendusena käsitletakse Kaisa Eiche 2021. aastal läbiviidud eksperimenti. Artikkel näitab, et Ida-Euroopast pole enam võimalik rääkida „lähedase Teise“ võtmes. Ta on „mitte-Teine“.

This article was made to describe the results of research on the use of language, about the way the media constructs a discourse, the constellation of power that occurs in the process of production and reproduction of meaning in the news about Tempe as thin as ATM card that reported by Detik.com. The method used in this research is descriptive, namely, the method that describes the status of the phenomenon to an object to be researched. This type of research is qualitative research because the data of this research is news that has been transcribed. Observation and documentation techniques are used to collect data in this research. While the data analysis technique used in this research is based on AWK Faucault’s theory which has two main focuses namely power genealogy analysis and knowledge archeology analysis. From the data analysis that has been done, some conclusions can be described. First, the news made by Detik.com has an argument and descriptive nuance that explains Sandiaga Uno's statement regarding the size of Tempe which is almost the same as ATM card. Second, Detik.com tends to report on the size of Tempe rather than the point of the statement that spoken by Sandiaga Uno. Detik.com, in its news, did not explain that the Tempe is as thin as ATM statement was an analogy, seemed to lead public opinion that Sandiaga Uno had made a lie on the discovery that there was thin Tempe as thin as ATM, so the public judged negatively on Sandiaga Uno's statement.

Education has always been socially conditioned. On the one hand, everything that happens in society necessarily reflects on the education process, and on the other hand, all changes in education cause changes in society. Baština journal, which used to be published by the Institute for the Study of Culture of Serbs, Montenegrins, Croats and Muslims in Priština from 1991 to 1997, and by the Institute for Serbian Culture in Priština since 1998, which has now been based in Leposavić since 1999, publishes papers in the field of social and humanistic sciences. These papers most often discuss topics in the field of Literature, History, History of Culture, Ethnology, Political Science and Sociology, and occasionally in the field of Ethnomusicology, Demography, Archeology, Art, Art History, Language, Literature and Aesthetics, while one journal issue published a special topic - Vladeta Vuković's Works. The journal has so far also included Discussions and Review, Chronicles and Composition. In this paper, the coauthors investigate the representation of education-related topics, as well as the character, scope and intensity of these topics in the Baština Journal from the first edition in 1991 to the latest edition in 2020. A retrospective study of scientific and professional papers showed that a total of 63 papers were published that directly and indirectly study education, primarily in the field of the history of pedagogy, general pedagogical topics and other education-related issues. These topics were mostly published within the History of Culture pillar. As a separate topic, Education was present only in two issues in 2007 and in one issue in 2009 and in the last two issues in 2020 within the Pedagogy course.

Gizi merupakan salah satu faktor penentu keberhasilan tumbuh kembang anak yang optimal. Gizi yang cukup dan seimbang sangat diperlukan dalam periode emas pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak. Kekurangan gizi yang terjadi pada periode emas tersebut dapat menyebabkan berbagai masalah, salah satunya adalah masalah gagal tumbuh sehingga anak menjadi lebih pendek (stunting) dari standar. Data Riskesdas (2018) menunjukkan bahwa prevalensi stunting di NTT sebesar 42.6% dan prevalensi Gizi Kurang sebesar 29.5%. Hal ini berarti bahwa masalah kekurangan gizi pada anak-anak dalam proses tumbuh-kembang masih sangat tinggi. Oleh karena itu, Program Pemberian Makanan Tambahan bagi anak sekolah (PMT-AS) menjadi salah satu upaya percepatan pencapaian dalam pembangunan nasional terkait pengentasan masalah gizi pada anak sekolah. Ikan merupakan salah satu jenis pangan sumber protein hewani yang banyak ditemukan dan banyak dikonsumsi oleh masyarakat di Pulau Semau. Nugget merupakan produk olahan dalam bentuk beku yang bersifat siap untuk dimasak. Tempe merupakan makanan sumber protein, serat pangan, kalsium, vitamin B dan zat besi. Kegiatan Pengabdian pada Masyarakat ini bertemakan : pemberian makanan tambahan anak sekolah (PMT-AS) berbasis pangan lokal dalam meningkatkan status gizi siswa Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batuinan Semau Kabupaten Kupang. Kegiatan pengabdian pada masyarakat ini dilakukan bersama anak-anak Sekolah Dasar Negeri Batuinan, UPTD Kecamatan Semau Kabupaten Kupang sebanyak 35 orang anak pada bulan September – Nopember 2021. Adapun hasil yang diperoleh adalah terjadinya perubahan pengetahuan anak- anak tentang 1). Khasiat kandungan gizi ikan dan tempe; 2). Anak-anak mengetahu tentang cara pengolahan ikan dan tempe menjadi bentuk olahan yang sederhana dan dapat dikonsumsi sebagai pangan pendamping sumber karbohidrat dalam sarapan pagi, makan siang atau makan malam mereka.

Članek obravnava domnevno otroško perspektivo v izbranih tujih in slovenskih slikanicah, klasificiranih kot problemskih. Produkcija problemskih slikanic in mladinske literature na sploh se vsako leto veča, kar dokazujejo priporočilni seznami Pionirske knjižnice Ljubljana, temu pa premo sorazmerno ne sledi merilo kakovosti. Na podlagi teorije o perspektivah v otroški literaturi (Saksida 1999), o teoriji implicitnega bralca (Iser 2001), načinih prikazovanja problemske slikanice (Blažić 2011) in teorije o začetnem bralcu (Nikolajeva 2014) so bile analizirane problemske slikanice, ki eksplicitno predstavljajo temo nasilja, smrti, vojne, drugačnosti, zasvojenosti, begunstva in vprašanje identitete spola. Iz analize izbranih del lahko sklepamo, da so nekatere slikanice, ki so bile napisane za (pred)šolskega otroka ne glede na naslovniško univerzalnost otroškega besedila, vprašljive kakovosti zaradi načina prikazovanja teme, ne pa zaradi same teme slikanice.

The paper deals with the elements of violent communication in the headlines of daily newspapers in Serbia when it comes to the topic of traffic. Recent media research in Serbia shows a trend of increasing aggressive communication in the media, which has far-reaching consequences for all elements of society. The time sample for which the analysis was performed is the entire year 2020, which was specific because for almost two months a state of emergency was introduced due to the corona virus. The aim of the work is to indicate how much and in what way the use of violent language is noticeable in the daily press, as well as that it is applied in sensitive topics such as the topic of traffic where, according to the standards of professional media ethics, there should be respect for the victims. the injured and their families. The method used for research is content analysis and comparative method. The analysis shows that violent communication dominates in the tabloid media, while it is almost absent in the serious press. Aggressive communication occurs when reporting negative events such as traffic accidents and traffic violations. Jargon language and hyperbole are most often used as a tool for violent communication. Indeed, it was noticed that the topic of traffic is more dominant in the tabloid media. Only the daily newspaper Večernje novosti pays equal attention to news from the black chronicle related to traffic, but also to service information that is important to readers.

Posebno se problematiziraju četiri teme: 1) odnos priručnika prema standardnojezičnim naglasnim pravilima, 2) pitanje uporabne norme s posebnim osvrtom na naglasni inventar i dijalektnu sliku, 3) provedba načela normativne hijerarhije u naglasnoj normi te 4) primjeri obrade iz dvaju navedenih rječnika.

Parerejo Village, Purwodadi Subdistrict, Pasuruan Regency, which is famous for its tempeh village because most of patriarch work as tempeh craftsmen. The majority of tempe craftsmen sell their product only fresh tempeh and the minority processing the tempeh into chips and nuggets. This has an impact on the disposal of unsold tempeh due to its short shelf life. The program has the targets community were the wives of tempeh craftsmen with the aim of helping their husbands. This program applies appropriate technology from the science of food technology to processing fresh tempeh. Fresh tempeh products were processed into two types of diversification, namely tempeh juice and es puter. The training was carried out using the verbal language of the local community with the aim were easily delivered of knowledge and can be accepted by the community. Socialization and training can also be carried out well that can be known by looking at the community's response with enthusiasm and the sustainability of the program which will be carried out continuously in a coordinated manner by the chairman of the tempeh craftsmen community. The results of this program can be concluded that community service to tempeh craftsmen is very useful and the community hopes that the product can continue until it is ready for production and commercial in the market.

U radu se kritički pristupa poimanju rječnika kao neutralnog izvora znanja. Rječnik se proučava kao zbirka tragova koje u njemu ostavljaju autori i sredina u kojoj nastaje. Cilj je ovoga istraživanja otkriti kako su se u jednojezičnim objasnidbenim rječnicima hrvatskoga i češkog jezika odrazile razlike u društvenom uređenju dviju bivših socijalistički uređenih država: SFRJ i Čehoslovačke. Provedena je sociolingvistička poredbena analiza prvenstveno predgovora čeških i hrvatskih rječnika objavljenih tijekom socijalističkog razdoblja. Posebna pozornost posvećena je dijelovima teksta koji se odnose na društvenu zbilju i okolnosti nastanka rječnika. Glavna pretpostavka bila je da će socijalizmu i njegovim utjecajima na leksikografiju više pozornosti biti posvećeno u češkim rječnicima, dok će hrvatski rječnici u većoj mjeri obrađivati temu jezika kao indeksa nacionalnoga identiteta. Analiza dobivenih podataka bolje rasvjetljuje položaj leksikografske djelatnosti u uspoređivanim društvima i opisuje utjecaje koje na nju imaju nejezikoslovne (ekonomske, političke, ideološke) okolnosti. Rezultati potvrđuju hipotezu o prisutnosti teme socijalizma u češkim rječnicima i teme jezika kao indeksa nacionalnoga identiteta u hrvatskim rječnicima.

In the study, we examined the production of Estonian vowel categories by second language (L2) speakers of Estonian (native language Finnish) and compared them to those of native Estonian (L1) speakers. The vowel systems of the two languages are very similar: all eight Finnish vowels have close counterparts in Estonian, though Estonian has one more vowel category. The vowels for acoustic analysis were extracted from the target words embedded in sentences read by both L1 and L2 informants. The results showed that using the native Finnish vowel patterns for the Estonian counterparts has been a successful strategy – due to phonetic similarity of the shared vowels in the two languages, the L2 vowels assimilate well to Finnish L1 vowel categories. The L2 learners have acquired proper tongue position for the new vowel category /õ/ in tongue height and in front-back dimension, but deviate from the L1 speakers in use of the lip rounding gesture.
Kokkuvõte. Einar Meister ja Lya Meister: Eesti vokaalid soome emakeelega keelejuhtide häälduses. Artiklis uuriti soome emakeelega keelejuhtide eesti vokaalide hääldust ja võrreldi seda eesti emakeelega keelejuhtide hääldusega. Eesti ja soome vokaalisüsteemid on väga sarnased – kõigil soome vokaalidel on eesti keeles foneetiliselt lähedane vaste. Eesti keeles on lisaks veel üks vokaalikategooria, s.o ümardamata keskkõrge tagavokaal /õ/. Uuringus kasutati eesti ja soome emakeelega keelejuhtide loetud samu lauseid, vokaalide akustiliseks analüüsiks eraldati neist rõhulised vokaalid. Kõigi vokaalide puhul leiti kolme formandi sagedused, millest esimene (F1) on seotud keele kõrgusega, teine (F2) keele ees-tagapoolsusega ja kolmas (F3) huulte ümardatusega. Tulemused näitasid, et (1) tänu soome vokaalide foneetilisele sarnasusele vastavate eesti vokaalidega oli soome emakeelega kõnelejate eesti vokaalide hääldus lähedane eesti emakeelega keelejuhtidele; (2) on omandatud küll /õ/-vokaali hääldusasend nii keele kõrguse (F1) kui ka ees-tagapoolsuse (F2) teljel, kuid F3 väärtuste põhjal paigutub soomlaste hääldatud /õ/ ümarate vokaalide rühma.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan lagu-lagu berbahasa Jawa bermuatan nilai-nilai karakter sebagai media pembelajaran anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain Research and Development (R&D) dengan mengadaptasi teori Sugiyono. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik wawancara dan teknik angket, sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan deskriptif kualitatif. Penelitian ini menghasilkan enam prototipe lagu berbahasa Jawa bermuatan nilai karakter. Enam lagu tersebut berjudul Elinga, Pasinaon, Kuwajibanku, Temen, Bumi Asri, dan Nuswantara. Lagu Elinga memuat karakter relegius, lagu Nuswantara memuat karakter cinta tanah air, lagu Pasinaon memuat karakter kedisiplinan, Lagu Bumi Asri memuat karakter peduli lingkungan, lagu Temen memuat karakter kerja keras, dan lagu Kuwajibanku memuat karakter mandiri. Uji keberterimaan lagu-lagu ber-bahasa Jawa bermuatan nilai-nilai karakter sebagai media pembelajaran anak usia dini dilakukan oleh guru-guru ahli dalam hal ini adalah guru-guru PAUD. Nilai uji keber-terimaan tersebut adalah 77,5 sehingga termasuk dalam kategori baik.This research aims to develop the Javanese songs containing character values ??as a learning medium of the early childhood education. Research and Development (R & D) design adapted from Sugiyonos theory is used in the research design. The techniques of collecting data used in this reasearch are interview and technical questionnaires, while the data analysis technique used is the qualitative descriptive.This reasearch result shows six prototypes of Javanese language songs containing character values. The songs are Elinga, Pasinaon, Kuwajiban, Temen, Bumi Asri, and Nuswantara. Elinga song has the religious characters, Nuswantara song has the patriotism characters, Pasinaon song has the discipline characters, Bumi Asri has the concern of environment characters, Temen song has the characters of hard work, and Kuwajiban song has independent character.The acceptance test of the Javanese songs containing character values as a learning medium of early childhood is done by the professional teachers, namely teachers of the early childhood education. The value of this acceptance test is 77.5. Therefore, it belongs to good category.

Leivu is one of the South Estonian dialects historically spoken in eastern Latvia and influenced by Latvian. One likely influence is broken tone or stød, which was developing in Leivu mainly as a result of the loss of /h/ in first quantity degree words. The aim of this study is to determine what characterises the pronunciation of CV’V-words (lost intervocalic /h/) and differentiates these from CVV-words. Sound durations, F0 and intensity contours of the syllable rhyme were analysed. Vowel duration in CV’V-words tends to be longer than in CVV-words. In CV’V-words, a short drop in intensity can occur between two identical or two different vowels, with the first vowel often being longer than the second one. In some cases, the second vowel in CV’V words was laryngealised. In CV’V-words, an early F0 turning point where F0 starts to fall occurs more consistently than in CVV-words where F0 can also be rising.
Kokkuvõte. Pire Teras: Katketoon leivu CV’V-sõnades. Leivu on üks lõunaeesti murretest, mida räägiti Ida-Lätis ja mida mõjutas läti keel. Üks neist mõjudest on tõenäoliselt katketoon, mis oli tekkimas peamiselt esmavältelistes sõnades /h/ kao tulemusel. Liivi keeleski on katketooni kujunemise üheks põhjuseks peetud just /h/ kadu. Selle töö eesmärk on välja selgitada, mis iseloomustab leivu /h/-kaoliste CV’V-sõnade hääldust ja mis eristab neid kolmandavältelistest CVV-sõnadest. Analüüsiti häälikukestusi, põhitooni- ja intensiivsuskontuure. Vokaalikestus on leivu CV’V-sõnades veidi pikem kui CVV-sõnades. CV’V-sõnades võib toimuda intensiivsuse langus ja tõus või järsk intensiivsuse langus nii kahe ühesuguse kui ka erineva vokaali vahel: esimene vokaal on enamasti kestuselt pikem kui teine. Ka CVV-sõnade hilistekkelistes diftongides on esimene osis sageli pikem kui teine. Mõnel juhul larüngaliseerub CV’V-sõnades silbituuma lõpuosa. Põhitoonikontuuris on CV’V-sõnades palju järjekindlamalt varane pöördepunkt ja langev põhitoon kui CVV-sõnades, kus tuleb ette ka hilise pöördepunktiga tõusvat põhitooni.

The Tembe tribe, which resides south of Maputo Bay, originates from the present day Zimbabwe and is also linked through archaeological evidence to the ancient state of Mapungubwe. It migrated to Mozambique and later occupied the land south of Maputo Bay, straddling between Mozambique and South Africa, from Mkhuze and Maputo.The list of its rulers has been confused over the years due to the repetition over various generations of most of the names and distortion of some of the names to suit the Tsonga language (or its Rhonga dialect), which the Tembe adopted in later years. A close look at the names, however, does give a chronology of the history of the tribe from its breakaway from the Mapungubwe.Therefore, the focus of this article is on the time of the breakaway to the end of the 18th century, when it was in its apogee with a recognised kingdom. It looks into the migration route from Mapungubwe and the succession history of the ruling lineage during this period. The article helps to boost the understanding of the Tembe’s Kalanga links and could help assist future research of other Kalanga migrations to the south around the same period.

Abstract Students of István Deák have been at the forefront of problematizing the Czech national narrative, particularly following the fall of Communism. The Czech nationalist interpretation of history casts the Czechs as an imprisoned nation within Austria (and later inside the Soviet bloc). In this schema, the 1620 Battle of White Mountain ushered in an era of temno (darkness) during which the Germanic Habsburgs suppressed the Czech national language and culture. This article examines how scholars who studied with Deák complicated this narrative by investigating national indifference and fissures within the nineteenth- and twentieth-century national movements.

Rijeka je zbog svog položaja i povijesnih zbivanja oduvijek bila mjesto dodira i ispreplitanja različitih tradicija, kultura i jezika. U razdoblju od početka dvadesetoga stoljeća, pa do Prvoga svjetskog rata u toj je multikulturalnoj i višejezičnoj sredini postojala bogata tiskarska tradicija, tako da se u navedenom razdoblju tiskalo čak 13 periodičnih publikacija na četiri jezika koja su tada bila u uporabi (hrvatskome, talijanskome, njemačkome i mađarskome), a na daskama njenih dvaju kazališta igrale su se kazališne predstave na četiri jezika. U navedenom razdoblju u Rijeci je gostovalo pedesetak talijanskih glumačkih družina s više od 950 dramskih predstava, što je za duhovna strujanja unutar njenog urbanog kulturnog života od posebnog značaja. Te su gostujuće glumačke družine ujedno odigrale značajnu ulogu u kazališnome razvitku kao poveznice s europskim kazališnim životom i šire, s tadašnjom kulturom u srednjoeuropskim razmjerima. Slijedom takvog razvoja situacije i sama se Rijeka našla u središtu civilizacijskog međudjelovanja različitih kulturnih tradicija, te je odigrala vrlo značajnu ulogu i kao posrednik između tadašnjeg hrvatskog, talijanskog, mađarskog i njemačkog kulturnog kruga.Vrijedna svjedočanstva o tome nalaze se u tadašnjem riječkom tisku talijanskog govornog izraza koji do sada nije bio dovoljno istražen. Želeći svojim skromnim prilogom doprinijeti cjelovitijoj slici riječkog kazališnog života toga doba i riječkog kulturnog identiteta, koristili smo napise iz pet riječkih talijanskih periodičnih publikacija (La Voce del Popolo, Il Popolo, La Bilancia, La Difesa i La Giovine Fiume) kao izvornu dokumentaciju za analizu kazališnih tema vezanih uz talijanski segment riječkog dramskog glumišta. Namjera nam je bila da kroz književno - kritičku analizu kazališnih osvrta i kritike u dostupnim periodičnim publikacijama oslikamo stanje riječkog talijanskog dramskog glumišta kao značajnog čimbenika unutar riječkoga kulturnog identiteta, te doprinesemo njegovoj prepoznatljivosti u međunarodnom kontekstu.

Rööpsete perekonnanimede teke on unikaalne Eestis ja Lätis, kus mõisas pandi 1820.–1830. aastail samale talupojale üks, kirikus aga teine perekonnanimi. Nimede panemise õigus oli mõisadel, kuid kohati võtsid pastorid osa nimede panekust ning muutsid kirikuraamatutes nimesid ka hiljem. Eestis oli üksikuid piirkondi (mõisu), kus rööpnimede hulk oli suurem, nt Ahja mõisas 53%, Roosna-Alliku mõisa Järva- Madise kihelkonna osas 32%, olles enamasti aga mõne protsendi piires. Võnnu kihelkonnas muutsid vastastikku üksteise nimeloomet mõisavalitsused, kolm järjestikust pastorit ning eriti köster. Pärast üldise perekonnanimepanekuga loodud rööpnimesid oli XIX sajandi teisel poolel ja XX sajandi algul nende tavalisim tekkepõhjus saksastamine, harvem sugulussuhete muutumine (kärgpered, lapsendamised). Kui mõnel pool jõudsid kirikuraamatute nimekujud ka hingeloendisse, siis tavaline see polnud. Sel põhjusel oli ka XX sajandi algul inimestel vallavalitsuse välja antud tsaariaegses passis või iseseisvusaegsel isikutunnistusel üks, kirikuraamatutes teine nimi. Rööpnimed kaotati enamasti riiklike perekonnaregistrite sisseseadmisega alates 1926. aastast ning ametlikustati reeglina sünnikandes leiduv nimekuju. Osal juhtudel tekkisid topeltnimed. Rööpnimed on dokumentides tekitanud segadust ka hiljem.
Abstract. Fred Puss: Muuga or Kersna? The appearance and perishment of Estonian parallel family names. The reason for the appearance of parallel family names in Estonia and Latvia is unique: in the 1820s–1830s, the manor officials gave family names to local peasants and the Lutheran pastors changed those names or gave different ones. In some areas, mismatch was up to 53%, but generally did not exceed a few percent. Sometimes in the church records, the names were later changed to match the manor (or later tax) records, but much less often vice versa. However, when the names in the church records were changed (mostly Germanized) in the second half of the 19th century, but not in the tax records, new mismatches appeared. As of 1926, the state began to keep vital statistics records and the name in a birth entry in the church book was usually fixed as the only family name thereafter. This marked the end of the occurrence of most of the parallel family names in Estonia, but some became double family names and some still caused confusion in later records.

As a result of the Decision of the Holy Synod of the Romanian Orthodox Church, 2019 year gives us the opportunity to honor Patriarch Justin Moisescu. He was a special hierarch due to his Olympic profile, to his complex personality and to his ministry and work, providential for the Romanian Orthodoxy of the 80’s of the last century. He was a professor of theology of high moral and scientific value, who taught the students during the communist era, at the Faculties of Theology in Warsaw and Bucharest, fundamental disciplines such as “New Testament Study”. Concerned with translating reference works into Romanian, he is the initiator of a monumental work: the translation into Romanian language of the Holy Fathers’ works. Due to his programmatic idea, more than 100 volumes have been produced so far, which are part of the collection “Parents and Church Writers” ( “P.S.B.”). The present study seeks to highlight and bring to light the texts of theb “Pastoral” which the hierarch Justin Moisescu, during his 30 years of ministry, addressed to the clergy and to the people, as: 1. Archbishop of Sibiu, 2. Archbishop of Iasi and Metropolitan of Moldova and Suceava and 3. Archbishop of Bucharest, Metropolitan of Ungrovlahia and Patriarch of the Romanian Orthodox Church.

John Studley translated four of Seneca's plays into English: Agamemnon, Medea, Hippolytus (as Phaedra was known in the Renaissance), and Hercules Oetaeus, and these were later included in Thomas Newton's collection Seneca His Tenne Tragedies, 1581. This essay focuses on Studley's Hippolytus, with intersecting discussions of his Agamemnon. It looks at the Latin texts and commentaries Studley may have been using, and shows that his translation incorporates elements of intertextuality and imitation that expand on Seneca's own engagement with Ovid. Tracing how Seneca's and Studley's characters find models and counter-models in other mythological figures, the discussion draws attention to Studley's foregrounding of generational confusion, and his handling of gender.

To convey this counseling material using language that is easy to understand so that it is easily understood by the target of counseling. The media used in this counseling is print media. The conclusion of this activity is counseling about the importance of maintaining balanced nutrition to the community by suggesting nutritional supplements to help maintain balanced nutrition in a more enjoyable way. Based on the results of this study, many parents are interested in making this food as a snack for additional nutrition for their family.

This review provides the summaries of reports presented in the scientific seminar “Transient phenomena in language and speech” dedicated to the memory of Professor Vera Vassilyevna Babaytseva, which was held online on the digital platform of the State University of Humanities and Social Studies (Kolomna, Russia). The seminar included a presentation of a paper by Babaytseva on the syntactic functions of the pronouns ty and vy that remained unpublished during the author’s lifetime. Also, a number of reports on topical issues of the Russian syntax were presented: the functioning of stable comparisons svetlo kak dnem and temno kak noch’yu in the structure of an impersonal sentence; the semantics and syntactics of predicatives vidno and slyshno in a complex sentence with complement clauses; performative inseparable utterances; variability in language and speech in correlation with the concept of “norm” when related to the word as a lexical or syntactical system unit; the contrast of the conditional-temporal logical-grammatical model (N1 - eto kogda ...) and the explanatory one (N1/Pron - eto pro N4). The information on the works of recent years implementing the ideas of the structural-semantic direction of modern Russian studies was introduced at the seminar.

Brojni radovi posvećeni glagolskom vidu u različitim slavenskim, ali i u drugim jezicima u kojima ova kategorija nije morfološki obilježena, proizveli su obilje naziva te doveli do nejasnoća koje predstavljaju prepreke u razvoju aspektologije. U tradiciji radova koji opisuju glagolski vid i aspektna značenja u slavenskim jezicima pojedini se nazivi redovno pojavljuju, dok noviji nazivi nemaju nužno isto značenje pod perom svih autora koji ih koriste. No uz iznimku rijetkih članaka koji opisuju pojedine teme, nijedan autor nakon Đure Grubora nije pokušao razraditi cjelovito nazivlje koje bi udovoljilo potrebama za opisom aspektnih značenja u hrvatskome. Iz toga proizlazi potreba za preispitivanjem postojećih naziva i definicija pojmova koje označavaju kako bismo mogli ponuditi precizno osnovno nazivlje kao poticaj za nastavak istraživanja o aspektologiji. U prvom dijelu istraživanja ponudit ćemo pregled do sada korištenih naziva i pojmova u radovima posvećenim glagolskom vidu. U drugom dijelu predložit ćemo usustavljeno osnovno nazivlje i harmonizirane definicije u njemu označenih pojmova.

Prispevek obravnava poezijo Michelangela Buonarrotija še zlasti iz zornega kota njegovega upesnjevanja teme ljubezni, ki nastopa v triadi renesančno zastopanih vrlin skupaj z Dobroto in Lepoto. Omenjeno razumevanje je prikazano z očrtom širšega nazorsko-filozofskega ozadja (Giovanni Pico della Mirandola, M. Ficino, C. Landino, A. Poliziano) tedanje visoke renesanse. Izpostavljena je kompleksnost obdobja in razmerje do florentinske pesniške preteklosti (Dante, Petrarca). Michelangelova navezanost na besedni izraz, ki je bila neločljiva od njegovega umetniškega ustvarjanja, je predstavljena kot miselno preciznejša in ontološko poglobljena, saj ponuja umetnikovo samorefleksijo smrti. Za umetnika samega so bili njegovi stihi povsem enakovredni likovnemu izrazu, saj so mu z mislijo o nesmrtnosti pomenili premagovanje zavesti o minljivosti (lastnih) umetnin.

В 2018 г. на городище у с. Строенцы Рыбницкого района был обнаружен вещевой клад раннего железного века. В его состав входило не менее восьми бронзовых и серебряных изделий — украшений (три браслета, парные серьги и перстень) и аксессуаров костюма (две фибулы и цепочка). Предметы, по всей видимости, были помещены в лепной сосуд или в его поддон. Среди ранних вещей следует выделить раннелатенские фибулы последней трети IV — первой половины III в. до н. э. Однако на основании датировок более поздних вещей (цепочки и перстня) время депонирования клада следует отнести к третьей четверти III в. до н. э. Установить, кем был депонирован клад, невозможно. Тем не менее, обнаруженные вещи отчетливо сочетают в себе ювелирные традиции фракийской, скифской и латенской культур. In 2018, an Early Iron Age hoard was discovered in the expanse of fortified settlement near Stroentsy in Rybnitsa district. The hoard consisted of at least eight objects of bronze and silver, with personal ornaments (three bracelets, paired earrings, and a finger ring) and costume accessories (two fibulae and a chain) included. Apparently, the objects were placed in a vessel modeled by hand or in the bottom part of this. As the earliest objects, the early La Tene fibulae should be distinguished which are dated within the time range from the last third of the 4th century until the first half of the 3rd century BCE. However, the deposition time of the hoard should be attributed to the third quarter of the 3rd century BCE based on the dating of the latest items, namely a chain and a finger ring. It is impossible to establish who deposited the hoard. Nevertheless, the items discovered clearly combine the jewelry traditions of the Thracian, Scythian and La Tene Cultures.

El adjetivo adminícula, un hápax hasta el momento impenetrable, deja de serlo a la luz de otro pasaje (del Coloquio de las oposiciones, c1600) en que también aparece combinado con muerte, y sobre todo gracias a la comprobación de que la expresión ayudar a morir, con el valor de ‘provocar la muerte a alguien, generalmente por medio de un veneno’, gozó de notable difusión entre los siglos XVI y XVIII. Así, adminícula, dicho de muerte, ha de ser ‘no natural, sino provocada’ (aunque no, en este caso, por la acción de un tósigo, como supuestamente temen los áulicos del gobernador de Barataria, sino por la de la mera privación de todo alimento).

Prispevek obravnava glagolske internacionalizme v nemščini in slovenščini ter se osredotoča na pomenske in vezljivostne strukture izbranih nemško-slovenskih glagolskih parov. Znotraj skupine mednarodnih besed, o katerih govori tudi SEJO, so najprej opredeljeni globalizmi, ki so prisotni v jezikih po vsem svetu, saj jih generirajo globalne teme, kot je denimo aktualna pandemija covida. Od teh se razlikujejo internacionalizmi; zanje veljata kriterij prisotnosti v najmanj treh jezikih, od katerih dva nista genetsko povezana, ter kriterij pomenske ustreznosti. Zaradi delne ekvivalence internacionalizmov lahko nastanejo pari lažnih prijateljev. Kontrastivna obravnava v prispevku prikaže, da pri nemško-slovenskih internacionalnih glagolskih parih prihaja do nekaterih razlik v pomenski strukturi in pomenskoskladenjski vezljivosti, ter razkrije različna razmerja med izbranimi slovenskimi glagoli in njihovimi nemškimi ustreznicami, ki se med seboj razlikujejo tudi zaradi variantnosti istega leksema v različnih nemških standardih.

This article discusses revelations of patriarchal along with colonial discourse and practice as poignantly adumbrated to coalesce and interact in Joseph Conrad’s Heart of Darkness. In this respect, the misogynistic representation of female characters who are sketched as insubstantial mystified stereotypes in a heterosexist men’s world constitutes an important aspect of the narrative. Besides, the connotative depiction of the river – characterized by an antagonistic aura ascribable to the hinted juxtaposition of the Congo and the Thames – as a symbolically evocative topographical element encourages keen reflection. Last but not least, the implication of language as an influential instrument serving to the endorsement of colonialist as well as patriarchal causes is worth exploring from a psychoanalytic perspective featured by feminist sensitivity.

Razgovornu upotrebu jezika odlikuju češće verbalne intervencije nego što je to slučaj u monološkim upotrebama jezika bilo da se vlastiti izričaji revidiraju, upotpunjuju, popraćuju primjerenim izričajima, bilo da se verbalno reagira na inicijalni izričaj sugovornika. Takvi česti zahvati rezultiraju mjestimično kraćim izričajima u razgovorima. Razmjerno česta su u razgovorima i značenjska pražnjenja početnih odnosno završnih dijelova izričaja i jezična pojednostavljivanja upotrebom manje specificiranih odnosnih elemenata. Jedan od razloga svih navedenih svojstvenosti razgovornog jezika je emergentnost postupka nastajanja obavijesti i posljedična potreba za povlačenjem novih verbalnih poteza u bilo kojem trenutku vlastitog govornog prinosa. Razlozi zasigurno leže i u jezičnom procesiranju koje nije trenutačno nego zahtijeva određeno vrijeme te u polaganju prava na preuzimanje uloge govornika svih sudionika u razgovoru koje doseže vrhunac neposredno nakon smisleno, jezično, djelatno i melodijski potpunih izričaja odnosno slijeda izričaja. Korpus ovog istraživanja predstavljaju radijske kontakt-emisije Hrvatskog radija emitirane u posljednjem desetljeću u trajanju od otprilike deset sati. Cilj istraživanja je izdvojiti sintaktičke i semantičke strukture svojstvene isključivo razgovornoj upotrebi hrvatskog jezika. Nakon preslušavanja razgovorā, njihova bilježenja te kvalitativne analize sekvencija u razgovorima izdvojene su: apokoinu konstrukcije, naknadni dodatci rečenici, samostojeće teme, drugi primjeri sintaktičke usitnjenosti razgovora, primjeri jezičnog pojednostavljivanja, primjeri pitanja „u zadnji tren” te primjeri semantičkog pražnjenja početnog odnosno završnog dijela izričaja.

En el presente trabajo propongo estudiar las relaciones de philía en la tragedia Orestes de Eurípides, haciendo foco en las expectativas respecto de la forma de conducirse que supone el hecho de ser varón o mujer. Para ello, en primer lugar, analizaré el vínculo entre el protagonista y Pílades, quien no teme el contacto con Orestes y consigue evitar que se suicide. Se trata de una diferencia notable respecto del accionar de Menelao, pariente de sangre de los hijos de Agamenón, que parece llegar a Argos para salvar a sus sobrinos, pero finalmente conspira contra ellos. Luego abordaré la relación de Electra con el Coro, destacada desde el punto de vista formal, ya que la párodo y el tercer estásimo constituyen diálogos líricos. La comparación entre la interacción de las argivas y el modelo de Pílades y Orestes permitirá indagar la incidencia de las mujeres en la trama.

Na stanje razumevanja in razumljivosti na Slovenskem in obenem tudi ustreznosti zahtev izključevanja ali omejevanja katerekoli ravni norme ali oblike, varietete med drugim kažejo tudi rezultati pismenosti, ali posplošeno, sporazumevalne zmožnosti osnovnošolskih otrok. Rezultati Nacionalnega preverjanja znanja kažejo, da se iz leta v leto stopnjujejo težave pri samostojnem tvorjenju jezikovno pravilnih zaokroženih besedil katerekoli vrste, prav tako pri povzemanju teme, sklepanju o posledicah; posebej izstopajoče je, da precej učencev po 9-letnem šolanju ne dosega niti minimalnih standardov pri rabi lastnega jezika. Kot navajajo poročila (Statistični podatki NPZ), imajo učenci, kadar morajo v izhodiščnih besedilih poiskati ustrezne podatke in jih uporabiti v besedilu, ki ga sami tvorijo, precej težav, čeprav gre tudi pri teh nalogah za naloge, ki po učnem načrtu preverjajo minimalne standarde. Še več težav imajo učenci pri uporabi, ki zahteva tudi analizo in sintezo. To se še posebej izrazito kaže pri samostojnem tvorjenju zaokroženih besedil (in sicer ob besedilu katerekoli zvrsti oz. vrste), in to kljub temu da gre za vodeno pisanje z razmeroma natančnimi navodili glede vsebine, in kljub dejstvu, da imajo učenci s podobnimi besedili (kot je npr. interpretacija grafa) opraviti tudi pri drugih predmetih. Posebno pozornost velja nameniti tudi jezikovni pravilnosti oz. ustreznosti tvorjenih besedil. Čeprav gre za minimalne standarde, učenci z najnižjimi dosežki pri tej točkovani enoti dosegajo komaj kako točko.

Kokkuvõte. Artikkel käsitleb kausatiivsuse väljendusvahendeid suulises eesti keeles. 14 eesti keelt emakeelena kõnelejat kirjeldasid 43 videoklipis kujutatud põhjustamisahelat. Uurimuse esimene eesmärk oli saada ülevaade kasutatud väljendusvahenditest. Materjalis esinesid täielikult põhjuslikkust väljendavad vahendid (põhjustamis- ja tulemussündmust sisaldavad) ja põhjustamisahela osade sidujad. Põhjustamissituatsiooni osasündmuste seos võidi jätta eksplitsiitselt väljendamata, osi ühendati ka sõnaga ja või ning, sidesõnadega (nt sest) ja konnektiividega (nt mille peale). Põhjustamisahela väljendusvahenditena kasutati ka relatiivlauseid, des-konverbi, v-kesksõna, elatiivi, komitatiivi, kaassõnu, erinevaid konstruktsioone (nt analüütilisi kausatiivikonstruktsioone) ja derivatiivseid ning leksikaalseid kausatiive. Teine eesmärk oli vaadata väljendusvahendite jagunemist erinevate situatsioonitüüpide vahel. Kõigis kirjeldustes esines näiteid, milles põhjustamissituatsiooni osi eksplitsiitse väljendusvahendiga ei seotud, seoti sõnadega ja või ning või kasutati mõnda muud siduvat sõna. Kõikide situatsioonitüüpide kirjeldamiseks kasutati ka põhjuslikkust väljendavaid muutuskonstruktsioone, relatiivlauseid, derivatiivseid ja leksikaalseid kausatiive.
Abstract. Kairit Tomson, Ilona Tragel: What happened and who did it? Means of expressing causality in Estonian. The aim of this paper is to give an overview of the means of causal chain in Estonian and to describe how those means are distributed between causal situation types. The results of this research are based on the experiment with 14 Estonian speakers who described 43 video clips by answering the question “What happened?”. The video clips originate from the project “Causality across Languages”. Participants described causal situations by using 1) constructions (e.g rebib pooleks ‘tears apart’, ajab naerma ‘makes laugh’, palub visata ‘asks to throw’), 2) morphological causatives, 3) lexical causatives, 4) linking words between subevents (e.g ja ‘and’, nii et ‘so that’, sest ‘because’ and relative pronouns), 5) other morphosyntactic means (des-converb, case suffixes, postpositions). In addition, subevents were mentioned without adding any linking word in between.

Članek predstavlja pesniški opus Vladimirja Kaučiča - Jeana Vodaina, ki je nastal med letoma 1945, ko je izdal svojo prvo pesniško zbirko Rose et noir in 1955, ko je sprejel službo pri pariški založbi Caractères, kjer je spoznaval vodilne francoske umetnike tistega časa (Tzara, Jakovski), kar je vplivalo na njegovo ustvarjanje in dojemanje umetnosti. Kavčič se je rodil v takrat italijanski vasi Čiginj na Tolminskem. Družina se je preselila v Loreno, kjer je končal osnovno šolo in se začel preživljati kot fizični delavec. Povezal se je z delavskimi kulturnimi društvu in ustvarjal kot pesnik, slikar ter tipograf. V članku analiziram njegove prve pesniške zbirke, in sicer Rose et noir (1945), Le toron noir (1947), A travers la lucarne (1949), L’arbre retrouvé (1951), Le jour se fera (1951), Pas de pitié pour les feuilles mortes (1951) in pesmi, ki so v tem času izšle v literarnih revijah. Analiza je pokazala, da so bile v mladostnem obdobju Vodainove priljubljene mladostne teme narava, Lorena, tegobe delavskega razreda in življenja v sodobnem času nasploh. Kvaliteta te poezije je jezikovna spretnost in sopostavljanje delavske tematike z motivi iz narave in ljubeznijo, mestoma tudi ironijo. Vodainova zgodnja poezija je večinoma sicer shematična, deloma tudi repetitivna. Opazen je vpliv Paula Verlaine in Jacquesa Préverta. Zadnja analizirana zbirka Pas de pitié pour les feuilles mortes pomeni prelom v umetnikovem opusu, saj je v njej pesnik prvič pokazal svoj izvirni slog, ki v zbirkah zrelega obdobja pride bolj do izraza.

This article provides a first quantitative overview of the timing and volumerelated properties of breath holds in spontaneous conversations. Firstly, we investigate breath holds based on their position within the coinciding respiratory interval amplitude. Secondly, we investigate breath holds based on their timing within the respiratory intervals and in relation to communicative activity following breath holds. We hypothesise that breath holds occur in different regions of the lung capacity range and at different times during the respiratory phase, depending on the conversational and physiological activity following breath holds. The results suggest there is not only considerable variation in both the time and lung capacity scales, but detectable differences are also present in breath holding characteristics involving laughter and speech preparation, while breath holds coinciding with swallowing are difficult to separate from the rest of the data based on temporal and volume information alone.
Kokkuvõte. Kätlin Aare, Marcin Włodarczak ja Mattias Heldner: Hinge kinni hoidmine spontaanses kõnes. Artikkel kirjeldab hinge kinni hoidmist spontaansetes vestlustes ajaliste ja kopsumahuga seotud omaduste kaudu. Hinge kinni hoidmist analüüsitakse esmalt selle põhjal, kus see käimasoleva hingamisfaasi kopsumahu ulatuse suhtes asub. Teine fookus on ajalisel faktoril: kus hoitakse hinge kinni käimasoleva hingamisfaasi alguse ja lõpu ning vestlustes sisalduva kõne vm suhtes. Hüpoteeside kohaselt peaks hinge kinni hoidmine ajalisel ja kopsumahuga seotud skaalal toimuma erinevas kohas sõltuvalt sellest, milline kontekst hinge kinni hoidmist vestluses ümbritseb. Tulemused näitavad, et kuigi hinge kinni hoidmine esineb suure varieeruvusega mõlemal skaalal, sisaldab andmestik mustreid, mis eristavad kõneplaneerimisega seotud hinge kinni hoidmist teistest alternatiividest. Tulemustest selgub ka, et neelatustega seotud hinge kinni hoidmist on keeruline muudest eristada vaid aja ja kopsumahuga seotud informatsiooni abil.
