Abstract:
Adoption of electronic health records (EHRs) has forced a transition in medical documentation, yet little is known about clinician documentation in the EHR. This study compares electronic inpatient progress notes written by residents pre- and post introduction of standardized note templates and investigates resident perceptions of EHR documentation. A total of 454 resident progress notes pre– and 610 notes post–template introduction were identified. Note length was 263 characters shorter ( P = .004) and mean end time was 73 minutes later ( P < .0001) with new template implementation. In sub

Background and Objectives: Careful assessment of depression and suicidality are important given their prevalence and consequences for quality of life. Our study evaluated the impact of an educational intervention in a family medicine residency clinic on rates of provider documentation regarding suicidality. One template used with the patient during the clinic visit elicited key factors (eg, plan, intent, barriers) and offered treatment plan options. The

Such generation of title pages makes it possible to simplify the work of teachers and help students avoid mistakes when filling out the title page.

An attractive means for sharing knowledge is Best Practices (BPs), which are proven as well as efficient and effective solutions to recurring problems. BPs can offer significant benefits, including improved performance, reduced re-work and cost savings. However, it is challenging to share and use BP Documents (BPDs) in organizations, which is the overall problem addressed in this thesis. Abstract:
Dynamic Algorithm Configuration (DAC) aims to dynamically control a target algorithm's hyperparameters in order to improve its performance. Several theoretical and empirical results have demonstrated the benefits of dynamically controlling hyperparameters in domains like evolutionary computation, AI Planning or deep learning. Replicating these results, as well as studying new methods for DAC, however, is difficult since existing benchmarks are often specialized and incompatible with the same interfaces. To facilitate benchmarking and thus research on DAC, we propose DACBench, a benchmark libra

Abstract:
Many organizations go through the motions of a management review so that they have documentation to pass a third party audit, however the review is often not effective. The reason they are not effective is managers do not take the time to prepare, collect and analysis available data, not enough time is scheduled with Top Management, and what time is available, the participants do not feel it is well spent or value added. A Top Management’s review is intended to ensure the organization’s quality management system is suitable, adequate, effective, and aligned with the strategic direction of the

Context: Safety analysis is an activity of fundamental importance in the development of safety-critical systems (SCS) to ensure that hazardous situations are properly found and mitigated. Such analysis is usually performed after a system requirements specification is available. Therefore, it is then worthwhile to investigate specification techniques to detect their strengths and weaknesses with respect to finding and documenting hazards early in the development process. Objective: In this paper, we investigate similarities and differences in the results of a preliminary safety analysis from re

Abstract:
Protocols have been developed to ensure complete and consistent collection of PRCI USM calibration data, logs files and documentation of test piping layout. The protocols also describe how to organize the data for inclusion in the PRCI USM test results database. The database processes the test results into standardized test reports and organizes the data for additional what if analysis of individual and combined test result sets. The zip file includes Excel spreadsheet templates for capturing the data for import into the database. There is also a related webinar.

Abstract:
Digital learning platforms (DLPs) can transform educational research by serving as infrastructure that bridges the gap between practice and research. This white paper examines the progress of DLPs in SEERNet, a multi-year initiative funded by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES), which aims to advance research infrastructure. Through coordinated efforts among platform developers, researchers, and practitioners, SEERNet members have addressed both expected and emerging challenges. The paper seeks to support others who are seeking to share platform data with researchers by clarifying the ra

Abstract:
The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) and state Departments of Transportation (DOTs) seek to provide high quality infrastructure that meets or exceeds the desired quality standards crucial for ensuring safety and efficiency in our nation's transportation systems. Efficient inspection practices—which enable conformance with plans, specifications, and quality standards—are an essential part of this effort. In this digital age, state DOTs are relying on emerging technologies to improve inspection practices. However, there is limited knowledge available regarding various emerging technologies
