V členitom geografickom priestore pohoria Považský Inovec, možno aplikovať metódu predikcie komunikačných trás využitím nákladového povrchu. Pomocou presných mapových podkladov a s realistickým číselným vyjadrením zvyšujúcej sa obťažnosti prechodu cez rôzne typy terénu, je možné vypočítať teoretický model cesty. V sledovanom priestore boli vymodelované cesty medzi lokalitami Ducové-Kostolec a Bojná-Valy, ktoré boli následne overené prechodom aj v teréne. Terénny prieskum potvrdil prítomnosť reliktov ciest, úvozov a ich zväzkov v priestore, ktoré určil aj výpočet teoretického modelu.
