Dodržování daňové morálky je jednou z oblastí, kde laboratorní experimenty mohou přispět k pochopení individuální racionality ekonomických subjektů. Teoretický model založený na teorii očekávaného užitku a předpokladu racionálního jedince (homo oeconomicus) není schopen pokrýt a vysvětlit komplexitu individuálního rozhodování o (ne)dodržení daňových zákonů. Zároveň platí, že možnosti zkoumat daný jev „v terénu“ jsou omezené. Výsledky získané prostřednictvím laboratorního testování tak mohou pomoci zaplnit prázdná místa ve výzkumu. Námi prezentovaná analýza se v této souvislosti zaměřuje na několik dílčích cílů. Vzhledem k relativně malému povědomí v české odborné komunitě (i) diskutujeme relevanci metody laboratorního experimentu v ekonomii pro zkoumání chování daňových subjektů, přičemž se opíráme o (ii) shrnutí dosavadního stavu poznání ve zkoumané oblasti. Detailněji experimentální metodu (iii) představují výsledky vlastního výzkumu (experimentu). V experimentu, který představuje náš příspěvek, jsme se zaměřili na posouzení vlivu dvou základních fiskálních proměnných na míru dodržování daňové morálky. Cílem je posoudit vliv měnící se pravděpodobnosti daňové kontroly a výši sankce uložené v případě krácení daně. Naší výzkumnou otázkou bylo, zda a do jaké míry měnící se hodnota těchto proměnných ovlivní chování daňového poplatníka, resp. jeho ochotu odvádět daň v řádné výši. Výsledky provedeného experimentu ukazují, že reakce českých subjektů na parametrickou změnu těchto proměnných je velmi obdobná, jako je tomu v zahraničních experimentech. Z obou studovaných faktorů má na ochotu řádně platit daně výraznější vliv rostoucí pravděpodobnost daňové kontroly. Naopak vliv výše uložené sankce je spíše marginální.

V posledních dekádách došlo v ČR, podobně jako v jiných zemích, k zásadním změnám v rodinném a reprodukčním chování – mezi nimi také k poklesu sňatečnosti a odkládání vstupu do manželství. Tyto změny bývají vykládány z perspektivy druhé demografické tranzice, která postuluje, že ve společnosti dochází k posilování hodnot negativně ovlivňujících individuální rozhodnutí vstoupit do manželství. Nicméně vliv hodnotového profilu jednotlivce na vstup do manželství dosud nebyl explicitně modelován. Proto používáme data ze dvou vln šetření Generations and Gender Survey z let 2005 a 2008 a ukazujeme, jaký byl vliv vybraných hodnot (měřených v první vlně panelu) na pozdější vstup do manželství. Nalézáme pouze dílčí potvrzení teorie druhé demografické tranzice (materialismus zvyšuje pravděpodobnost vstupu do manželství u respondentů mimo pracovní trh). Celkově pozorujeme mnohem slabší vliv hodnotových proměnných na vstup do manželství, než jsme podle teorie druhé demografické tranzice očekávali.

This thesis compares Weibull weakest link theory with inclusion of one and all three principal stresses. Principal stresses needed for this theory were calculated with finite element method. The informational research is in the introduction of this thesis. It includes ceramic materials, Weibull weakest link theory, Gaussian quadrature over spherical surface and ceramic head of hip joint endoprothesis. Theoretical part is used for next calculations of probability of failure. The probability of failure of ceramic rod loaded by four-point bending is calculated in first calculations. This task is solved as contact in the next step. Next part of this thesis is about selection of suitable method of numerical integration. This method will be used in the calculation with all three principal stresses. The results of calculation with all three principal stresses are compared with the results of the calculation which includes only first principal stress. Firstly, this is done for cylindrical body and then used on head of hip joint endoprothesis. In the last part of this thesis, probability of fracture of head hip joint endoprothesis with shape deviation of nominal conicity is calculated.

Prvotním cílem tohoto projektu bylo prostudovat problematiku jazykového modelování pro rozpoznávání řeči a techniky pro získávání textových dat z Webu. Text představuje základní techniky rozpoznávání řeči a detailněji popisuje jazykové modely založené na statistických metodách. Zvláště se práce zabývá kriterii pro vyhodnocení kvality jazykových modelů a systémů pro rozpoznávání řeči. Text dále popisuje modely a techniky dolování dat, zvláště vyhledávání informací. Dále jsou představeny problémy spojené se získávání dat z webu, a v kontrastu s tím je představen vyhledávač Google. Součástí projektu byl návrh a implementace systému pro získávání textu z webu, jehož detailnímu popisu je věnována náležitá pozornost. Nicméně, hlavním cílem práce bylo ověřit, zda data získaná z Webu mohou mít nějaký přínos pro rozpoznávání řeči. Popsané techniky se tak snaží najít optimální způsob, jak data získaná z Webu použít pro zlepšení ukázkových jazykových modelů, ale i modelů nasazených v reálných rozpoznávacích systémech.

Probably the most frequently used definition of reinsurance is insurance for insurance companies, by reinsurance the cedant (insurance company) cedes part of the risk to the reinsurer. Reinsurance plays nowadays a crucial role in insurance industry as it does not only reduce the reinsured's exposure, but it can also significantly reduce the required solvency capital. In past few decades various approaches to reinsurance actuarial modelling were published and many actuaries are nowadays just reinsurance specialized. The thesis provides an overview of the actuarial aspects of modelling a non-life per risk and for motor third party liability per event excess of loss reinsurance structure, according to the author's knowledge no study of such wide scope exists and various aspects have to be found in various fragmented articles published worldwide. The thesis is based on recent industry literature describing latest trends and methodologies used, the theory is compared with the praxis as the author has working experience from underwriting at CEE reinsurer and actuarial reinsurance modelling at global reinsurance broker. The sequence of topics which are dealt corresponds to sequence of the steps taken by actuary modelling reinsurance and each step is discussed in detail. Starting with data preparation and besides loss inflation, more individual claims development methods are introduced and own probabilistic model is constructed. Further, burning cost analysis and probabilistic rating focused on heavy tailed distributions are discussed. A special attention is given to exposure rating which is not commonly known discipline among actuaries outside of reinsurance industry and different methodologies for property and casualty exposure modelling are introduced including many best practice suggestions. All main approaches to the reinsurance modelling are also illustrated on either real or realistically looking data, similar to those provided by European insurance companies to their reinsurers during renewal periods.

The scope of the presented master thesis was the experimental study of multi-filament yarns made of AR-glass and used for textile-reinforced concrete. The behavior under the tensile loading was investigated by laboratory tests. A high number of yarn specimens (over 300) of six different lengths (from 1 cm to 74 cm) was tested to obtain statistically significant data which were subsequently corrected and statistically processed. The numerical model of the multi-filament bundle was studied and applied for prediction of the yarn performance and for later results interpretation. The model of n parallel filaments describes the behavior of a bundle with varying parameters representing different sources of disorder of the response and provides the qualitative information about the influence of their randomization on the overall bundle response. The aim of the carried experiment was to validate the model presumptions and to identify the model parameters to fit the real load-displacement curves. Unfortunately, due to unsuccessful correction of measured displacements devalued by additional non-linear contribution of the unstiff experiment device the load-displacement diagrams were not applicable to model parameters identification. The statistical evaluation was carried only for the maximal load values and the effect of the specimen size (length) on its strength was demonstrated. The size effect curve did not exclude the existence of spatial correlation of material mechanical properties modifying the classical statistical Weibull theory.

Management projektů a jejich rizik je v současnosti rozvíjející se disciplína, která si získává stále větší pozornost a uplatnění v praxi. Tato práce popisuje úvod do problematiky řízení rizik, zkoumání metod jejich identifikace, vyhodnocení a managementu, předcházení jejich následkům a jejich zvládání. V další části práce byla provedena analýza vzorků rizik z reálných projektů, byly popsány metody pro identifikaci a vyhodnocení následků rizik v úvodních fázích softwarového projektu, taktéž byly popsány atributy rizik a navržen způsob jejich dokumentace. V závěrečné části zadání byl navržen a implementován prototyp modelové aplikace pro podporu managementu rizik softwarových projektů.

Recent results from cognitive psychology suggest that human behavior can be, in some situations, better described by laws known from physical quantum theory. This work responds to this development and seeks to answer the question of how quantum models of cognition and decision-making can contribute to our understanding of the social world. We introduce the approaches to the application of quantum theory in social sciences - quantum consciousness, quantum reasoning and quantum metaphor and further develop the second, in the context of strategic interaction in game theory. We show that the quantum model corresponds to both the psychological intuition and many empirically known anomalies such as the order effect, disjunction effect, or context effect. In this work, we derive a specific model of strategic interaction between two players, and we test it in the experimental Prisoner's Dilemma game. The model is based on the rational choice theory, which is nevertheless re-defined when it is shown how the strategic choice is changed if the quantum probability (C*-algebra) is used as the underlying theory instead of classical probability (σ-algebra). The notion of quantoid is an analogy to the notion of matroid in the context of quantum realm. This thesis summarizes basic properties of quantoids and the correspondence between quantoids and selfdual matroids. A new set of axioms is derived as an alternative to the set which was used as the original definition of quantoid. A catalog enumerating all quantoids with the size of their ground set up to 5 elements is attached in the appendix and a larger database of quantoids (up to 7 elements in the ground set) is enclosed as an attachment of this thesis.
