Hebrew authors, and in particular a number of prominent poets, have played an important role in the development of today's Hebrew. Compounding operations by the Polish-Israeli poet Avot Yeshurun continue this tradition by reuse of earlier language components for the application of a linguistic strategy. Most of the time it is done in accordance with normative requirements for word formation in Hebrew. The poet's reuse of biblical Hebrew language components (as linguistic and conceptual common denominators) involves three levels of usage: the primary biblical usage, choice of a marker function,

Means include ways to increase the consumer’s awareness, add energy storages or build smarter homes which can control the appliances. To be able to implement these, indications on how the future consumption will be could be useful. Therefore we look further into how a framework for short-term consumption predictions can be created using electricity consumption data in relation to external factors.

Ghana is one of the last countries to introduce it – aiming to raise financial resources for national development, and limit the informal economy. The introduction of the Electronic Transfer Levy (E-Levy) in Ghana raised several protests and concern among the population and mobile money operators, and it is still doubtful whether the tax will raise adequate financial resources. This paper estimates the impact of the E-Levy on mobile money usage and user perceptions. We use data from the Ghana Chamber of Telecommunications on

Abstract:
High-Performance Buildings (HPBs) are designed to maximise resource efficiency and cost-effectiveness, optimising energy, water, and indoor environmental quality throughout their life-cycle. These buildings outperform benchmarks established by Indian standards, such as the Energy Conservation Building Code (ECBC) and the National Building Code (NBC), consuming 50% (Factor 4) to 25% (Factor 2) of typical energy and water usage. HPBs adhere to stringent requirements for indoor air quality (IAQ), waste management, and resilience. Furthermore, they undergo continuous monitoring and performance ver

Hernandez Martinez, Victor. Capital-Skill Complementarity in Manufacturing: Lessons from the US Shale Boom. Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland, 2024. http://dx.doi.org/10.26509/frbc-wp-202412.

Full text
Abstract:
This paper tests the existence of capital-skill complementarity in the manufacturing sector using quasi-experimental increases in the relative price of low-skill labor induced by the US shale boom. I find that in response to the shale boom, local manufacturing firms decreased their relative usage of low-skill labor while increasing their capital expenditures. These endogenous changes in the input mix allowed manufacturers to maintain the value added despite the increase in the price of low-skill labor, avoiding the potential short-term crowding-out effects of the natural resource boom. Abstract:
Satellite data offer panoramic and long-term perspectives that assist us in managing ecosystems to meet social, economic, and ecological objectives. In particular, remote sensing data are becoming increasingly common and critical inputs to ecological models. Models help us to understand ecological patterns and processes and the affect of human actions on those phenomena. Remote sensing has changed how ecologists approach the modeling process, e.g., new capacity to track severe events like hurricanes has improved our ability to prepare, respond, and mitigate effectively. Abstract:
The article analyzes the results of the survey of 75 lecturers on using learning content management system (LCMS) Moodle in the educational process. It is defined that more than 75% of the respondents use LCMS Moodle. The lecturers up to 30 or over 60 years old, with up to 3-year-work experience in Universities need methodic assistance. Textual e-learning resources are widely used in developed courses while video and audio are not used enough. LCMS Moodle is mostly used during exams or tests and student work, and using LCMS Moodle should be intensified in lectures, laboratory and practical cla

Abstract:
The nutritional adequacy of Canterbury Food Bank (CFB)’s emergency food parcels for children and adults was evaluated to assess their alignment with UK Government dietary recommendations and ensure their ability to support recipients’ long-term health. The protein, fibre, calories, minerals and vitamins in the parcels often exceeded the UK Government nutrient recommendation for children (2-3 years) and adults (19-64 years), making it sufficient to last beyond the intended three-day period. Mono- and poly-unsaturated fats and mostly Vitamin D were found to be very low in the parcel foods. Possi
