Solifluction lobe process and morphology were studied on an alpine slope (1800 m a.s.l) above Kluane Lake, south-western Yukon Territory. Contemporary rates of surface movements, measured by theodolite survey, were found to be greatest in the first two weeks of spring thaw, and movements were consistently faster on lobe treads than on lobe risers. Abstract:
The creation and development of urban agglomerations is one of the main aspects of the new state territorial development policy. At the federal level, special attention is paid to St. Petersburg agglomeration formed within the territory of two large subjects of the Russian Federation - the city of St. Petersburg and Leningrad Region, first of all, to the development of top-priority industries and high-speed transport, especially rail transport. Shortening the time of travelling to a workplace to 1.5 hours may indicate integration of a town of Leningrad Region into St. Petersburg agglomeration.
