The test is intended to determine the fire-resistance of several types of hydraulic fluids used in mining machinery. Schematic diagrams of the test facility, equipment, and a circuit diagram of the related instrumentation are presented at the conclusion, along with samples of test recording sheets.

Abstract:
This paper addresses a portfolio selection problem with trading costs on stock market. More precisely, we develop a simple GMM-based test procedure to test the significance of rading costs effect in the economy with a áexible form of transaction costs. We also propose a two-step procedure to test overidentifying restrictions in our GMM estimation. In an empirical analysis, we apply our test procedures to the class of anomalies used in Novy-Marx and Velikov (2016). We show that transaction costs have a significant effect on investors behavior for many anomalies. In that case, investors signific

There have been a number of notable girth weld failures in newly constructed pipelines in North America, Asia, and South America. The primary contributors to the North America incidents have been identified as (1) weld strength undermatching, (2) heat-affected zone softening, and (3) elevated stress-strain in the affected girth welds. This project is a continuation of previous PRCI supported work and JIP with a particular focus on addressing the first two contributors through enhanced girth welding procedure qualification. Three test options for enhanced welding procedure qualification are pro

Abstract:
Performance testing pumps in the field can be challenging and even more complicated when the pump is in crude oil pipeline service. Pumps installed in crude oil pipelines normally do not meet the basic requirements set forth in typical pump testing standards, additionally crude oil fluid properties are irregular, thus making it difficult to obtain the desired accuracy for proper evaluation and comparison to factory tests. All inconsistencies need to be evaluated and reconciled to successfully field performance test pumps pumping viscous fluid. The objective of this project is to develop a prac

Abstract:
The work described in this report focuses on the development of data processing routines for curved-wide-plate (CWP) tests, the presentation of test results in a consistent and unified format, generation of fracture resistance curves from, and the examination of transferability between CWP and SENT (single-edge-notched tension) test specimens. The results of this work can be used for: Drafting and implementing consistent test procedures for CWP tests, Formulating test data for consistent presentation and comparison, Understanding the differences and limitations of test specimens of different s

This report describes the development of a Scope of Work for the screening test program. The Committee will submit the Scope of work to potential testing laboratories as a part of a request for a quotation package. It completely defines the tests that will be required in the screening test program. Manufacturers of several of the selected connectors have submitted reports to the committee that describe the procedures and results of tests that have already been performed on their connectors. When possible, the committee wants to use these test results to eliminate duplicate testing and improve

The aim of the research reported was to develop ‘performance-based’ finite element modelling approaches and appropriate physical test procedures to approve petroleum road fuel tankers with novel designs that otherwise would not satisfy the current ‘design-based' requirements, i.e. to provide an alternative means of approval that gives more freedom to innovate while maintaining an equivalent (the same or a better) level of safety. The main conclusion of this research regarding the development of performance-based requirements for rollover safety is that the deflections and likelihood of major l
