Abstract:
In the present literature review modern view on the etiopathogenesis, clinical course, diagnosis, treatment and prognosis of testicular abscess, which is a rare disease, are described. Testicular abscess develops most often as a result of acute epididymo-orchitis (more than 80% of all cases), much rarer due to testicular inversion and injury. The etiological agent is often E. coli. The disease occurs at any age, especially in immunocompromised patients. Clinical and laboratory picture of testicular abscess has symptomatic nature and consists of local and general signs of purulent inflammation.

Testiculat torsion (TT) is an emergency condition that is accompanied by partial or complete chorda spermatica vessels compression resulting in testicular infraction. TT main symptoms are sharp pain, scrotal hyperemia, generalized edema, nausea, vomiting and unconsciousness. However, these symptoms are characteristic of many other acute diseases of genital gland. In course of time the symptoms are less defined, which in its turn raises the issue of timely differential diagnostics. How did men cope with sexual health issues in early modern England? This vivid history investigates how sexual, reproductive, and genitourinary conditions were understood between 1580 and 1740. Drawing on medical sources and personal testimonies, it reveals how men responded to bouts of ill health and their relationships with the medical practitioners tasked with curing them. In doing so, this study restores men’s health to medical histories of reproduction, demonstrating how men’s sexual self-identity was tied to their health. Testicular germ cell tumours (GCTs) represent the most common solid malignancy of young men aged 15–40 years. The disease is rising in incidence. Germ cell tumours are best divided into those with pure seminoma and non-seminoma (NSGCT) histology. While cryptorchidism is clearly established as a risk factor, the pathogenesis of testicular cancer remains unknown. Familial studies and molecular analyses suggest an association to genetic alterations. Most testicular cancer patients present a primary tumour in the testis.
