This thesis examines various approaches to public participation within rural planning. It deals with the roles rural residents, in unincorporated areas of British Columbia, can play in local planning. This thesis develops a conceptual framework that could be used to understand, assess and balance water resources supply and demand in regions where data are limited. In-flight variable stability aircraft and in-flight simulation are described. The uses of these vehicles and the associated requirements are described. Several forms of control architecture are identified for use in a T-6A in-flight simulator. A non-linear model of the T-6A Texan II is developed for use in MATLAB/SIMULINK®. My research explores the complex strategies animals adapt to cope with multiple selection pressures. I studied the behavioral and color response of two salamander sister species, Ambystoma barbouri and A. texanum, to temperature, predation risk and ultraviolet radiation (UVR, 280-320 nm). Cut off from Santa Fe, the hub of the network, Texas struggled economically as an independent nation.
