This paper focusses on the question of when modules have ADS- preenvelopes and covers. For a ring [Formula: see text], it is proved that every ADS module over [Formula: see text] is injective if and only if every right [Formula: see text]-module has an ADS-(pre)envelope (an ADS-(pre)cover). In this paper, we also introduce a generalization of ADS modules stated in terms of their invariance under certain automorphisms of their envelopes.

For the boost case, we show that, although it trivially acts on the underlying theory, it nontrivially affects the entanglement entropy due to the length contraction. Cognitive limitations such as those described in Miller's (1956) work on channel capacity and Cowen's (2001) on short-term memory are factors in determining user cognitive load and in turn task performance. Inappropriate user cognitive load can reduce user efficiency in goal realization. For instance, if the user's attentional capacity is not appropriately applied to the task, distractor processing can tend to appropriate capacity from it. Search ads have evolved in recent years from simple text formats to rich ads that allow deep site links, rating, images and videos. In this paper, we consider a model where several slots are available on the search results page, as in the classic generalized second-price auction (GSP), but now a bidder can be allocated several consecutive slots, which are interpreted as a rich ad. As in the GSP, each bidder submits a bid-per-click, but the click-through rate (CTR) function is generalized from a simple CTR for each slot to a general CTR function over sets of consecutive slots. Abstract:
This research study titled "Effective Creativity against Banner Blindness" aims to investigate the factors that significantly influence the attention of Internet users toward banner ads. By observing Internet users during their natural online browsing behavior, we discovered that factors such as colors, text, and element layout have a negligible influence. However, a crucial finding of this study is that the user's current needs or interests play a significant role in capturing their attention. Consequently, recognizing that Internet users are primarily influenced by whether an advertisement a

The internet, where people spend a big chunk of their time, has become an indispensable part of life. Thanks to online e-commerce websites, being able to choose from different categories and products and procure everything needed, from clothes to technology, from major appliances to groceries, is one of the most important conveniences of our age. As the interest of consumers increased, so did the number of e-commerce websites. These websites started to make numerous special offers and marketing campaigns to differentiate themselves from their competitors. One of these campaigns, the Black Frid

Using close to 40 years of textual data from FOMC transcripts and the Federal Reserve staff's Greenbook/Tealbook, we extend Romer and Romer (2008) to test if the FOMC adds information relative to its staff forecasts not via its own quantitative forecasts but via its words. We use methods from natural language processing to extract from both types of document text-based forecasts that capture attentiveness to and sentiment about the macroeconomy. We test whether these text-based forecasts provide value-added in explaining the distribution of outcomes for GDP growth, the unemployment rate, and i

How informative are job ads about the actual pay and amenities offered by employers? Using a comprehensive database of job ads posted by Norwegian employers, we develop a methodology to systematically classify the information on both pay and non-pay job attributes advertised in vacancy texts. We link this information to measures of employer attractiveness, which we derive from a job search model estimated on observed wages and worker mobility flows. About 55 percent of job ads provide information related to pay and nearly all ads feature information on non-pay attributes. We show that publicly
