Abstract:
Biometric identification systems based on Keystroke Dynamics have been around for almost forty years now. There has always been a lot of interest in identifying individuals using their physiological or behavioral traits. Keystroke Dynamics focuses on the particular way a person types on a keyboard. The objective of the proposed research is to determine how well the identity of users can be established when using this biometric trait and when contextual information is also taken into account. The proposed research focuses on free text. Users were never told what to type, how or when. This pa

Given that Poe's predilection for short forms of fiction is known to have motivated the majority of his writings, the status of The Narrative of Arthur Gordon Pym as his only completed novel forms an interesting development worthy of investigation. One of the most striking features of the novel is the discrepancy between physical phenomena and the protagonist's subjective interpretation of these. This study is concerned with the significance of Pym's perceptions particularly in those episodes which reveal the problematic relationship between appearance and reality evident in the character's co

This research aims to overcome the drawback of the large amount of training data required for free-text keystroke dynamics authentication. A new key-pairing method, which is based on the keyboard’s key-layout, has been suggested to achieve that. The method extracts several timing features from specific key-pairs. The level of similarity between a user’s profile data and his or her test data is then used to decide whether the test data was provided by the genuine user. The key-pairing technique was developed to use the smallest amount of training data in the best way possible which reduces the

Hur, Gi-Bong. "Identification of powered parafoil-vehicle dynamics from modelling and flight test data." Texas A&M University, 2003. http://hdl.handle.net/1969.1/3859.

Abstract:
During the final approach and landing phase of the X-38/Crew Return Vehicle, a steerable parafoil is used to maneuver and land at a targeted ground base under autonomous control. To simulate and verify performance of the onboard Parafoil Guidance, Navigation and Control system (PGNC), a commercial powered parafoil- vehicle, called the Buckeye consisting of a parafoil and vehicle two-body system like the X-38/CRV was modified to accommodate the avionics and scale-downed parafoil for aerodynamic similarity and a series of flight tests were conducted. Abstract:
Vehicle body durability evaluation strongly relies on the possibility of testing areal prototype on different testing surfaces, such as proving grounds, test rigsand real roads. Although many efforts have been made to reduce time requiredfor testing, this still remains one of the main resource-demanding phases in avehicle development. As direct consequence, more and more companies aim tooptimise and to improve vehicle development by means of CAE tools. This master thesis is a step towards virtual testing of a vehicle body, aimingto investigate and to select the most important measurements for a

Abstract:
This paper presents a flying qualities built-in-test for UAS application with the scope limited to the longitudinal axis. A doublet input waveform excites the AV and both α and q are used by EUDKF to estimate the A and B matrices which are short period approximations of the system. ζ, ω, GM, PM, observability, and controllability are calculated to determine flying qualities with the results displayed to the AVO in a color-coded, easy to interpret display. While SID algorithms have been flying in vehicles with adaptive control schemes, vehicles with other schemes (such as classical feedback) la
