Abstract:
Document clustering is a textmining technique for unsupervised document organization. It helps the users browse and navigate large sets of documents. Ho et al. proposed a Tolerance Rough Set Model (TRSM) [1] for improving the vector space model that represents documents by vectors of terms and applied it to document clustering. In this paper we analyze their model to propose a new model for efficient clustering of documents. We introduce Similarity Rough Set Model (SRSM) as another model for presenting documents in document clustering. The model is evaluated by experiments on test collections. The experiment results show that the SRSM document clusteringmethod outperforms the one with TRSM and the results of SRSM are less affected by the value of parameter than TRSM.

Abstract:

Abstract:

Abstract:
—Based on the traditional classification of plain text in E-Commerce, this article has put forward a processing method in accordance with semi-structured data and main information in web pages, which enhances the accuracy of the product distribution. On the basis of the traditional textmining, combined with the structure and links of web page, this article has proposed an improved web page text representation model in E-Commerce based on supporting vector machines and web text classification algorithm, but there are still a lot of shortcomings waiting for further improvement. According to the data contrast in precision ratio, recall ratio and F-measure, the effect of the improved experiment with LDF-IDF is comprehensively better than that of tf-idf. The precision rate in certain classification can reach 100%, but there is low precision rate caused by items with fewer samples or samples fuzziness. Therefore, the classification of the correct category will directly affect the effect of classification.

Abstract:
The year 2020 sees an important milestone for Professor Michael Kleinaltenkamp (Michael hereafter), as he concludes his official academic working life. This paper acknowledges the significant contribution Michael has made over the years. In particular, using Leximancer to undertake textmining of Michael’s English language publications, we not only uncover the underlying structure of these contributions but also explore if and how focal themes of his research have changed, particularly considering his close engagement with the Australasian academic marketing community. Findings indicate foundational facets and the overall gestalt of his research over time, yet also point to important differences across the time periods analysed. Finally, we reflect on our findings from a musical perspective, drawing on Michael’s passion for music, as we thank him for the many jams and the rehearsing, aswell as for his support for the bands and scenes he belongs to. For future research, it should be noted that future acknowledgements would benefit from cooking as a metaphor to complete the picture.

Abstract:
Unlike artificial languages, natural languages are difficult for computers to process directly. Therefore, it is necessary to process it as structured data. In the end, by giving weight to the sample text, the frequency of appearance in the document was weighted. The inaugural address data was entered through information filtering of text mining, and it was possible to obtain the result of the characteristic value according to the relation to the main word. This study analyzed the vocabulary of the inaugural speeches of past presidents of the Republic of Korea. After refining words through morpheme analysis, we found vocabulary frequency and characteristic values, and the data was visualized in wordcloud. This study did not perform a fragmentary analysis of the existing lexical analysis. This study presented feature values and word clouds. Therefore, it was possible to extract objective keywords representing the characteristics of the keywords.

Abstract:
In this study, a system for allowing combination of textmining and crowdsourcing of annotation approaches for detection of DDIs from drug package inserts is presented. An annotation study was designed to evaluate expert versus non-expert curation performance, and the impact of NLP pre-annotation on precision and recall on both groups. The design and development of the system and annotation study, consisted of three stages. First, our existing NLP pipeline for DDI extraction was improved, and it was used to preannotate 208 drug product labels with drug mentions and DDIs. Secondly, a DDI machine readable representation scheme was created using the Annotation Ontolgy. This model allowed us to load the NLP preannotated drug label sections into our plugin for human curation created using the Annotation tool DOMEO. Finally, the annotation study was performed along with usability questionnaires for collecting qualitative feedback. To our knowledge, this is the first study in comparing experts and non-experts for pharmacokinetic DDI annotation. Results showed lower performance on non-experts compared with expert annotation without the use of NLP,and an improvement of non-expert annotation performance using the NER module of the NLP assistance. Simplification of the workflow for NLP assisted annotation is necessary for scaling ourapproach.

Abstract:
Cluster analysis of textual documents is a common technique for better ltering, navigation, under-standing and comprehension of the large document collection. Document clustering is an autonomous methodthat separate out large heterogeneous document collection into smaller more homogeneous sub-collections calledclusters. Self-organizing maps (SOM) is a type of arti cial neural network (ANN) that can be used to performautonomous self-organization of high dimension feature space into low-dimensional projections called maps. Itis considered a good method to perform clustering as both requires unsupervised processing. In this paper, weproposed a SOM using multi-layer, multi-feature to cluster documents. The paper implements a SOM usingfour layers containing lexical terms, phrases and sequences in bottom layers respectively and combining all atthe top layers. The documents are processed to extract these features to feed the SOM. The internal weightsand interconnections between these layers features(neurons) automatically settle through iterations with a smalllearning rate to discover the actual clusters. We have performed extensive set of experiments on standard textmining datasets like: NEWS20, Reuters and WebKB with evaluation measures F-Measure and Purity. Theevaluation gives encouraging results and outperforms some of the existing approaches. We conclude that SOMwith multi-features (lexical terms, phrases and sequences) and multi-layers can be very e ective in producinghigh quality clusters on large document collections.

Lee, Jihyun, Kwang Min Cho, and Hyungchul Joo. "This research aims to examine how bicycle race is perceived in our society through a Big Data-based text-mining analysis. Data were collected from the major internet portal sites such as Naver and Daum by using Textom, an data analysis tool, and only those published during the period from June 16th, 2018 to June 16th, 2020 were collected. Textmining was applied to the collected data and then they were visually analyzed through a CONCOR analysis. Throughout these processes, the following findings were discovered. First, the ten words highly ranked in the keyword analysis result were COVID-19, KCYCLE·KBOAT Fund Rasing Office, stadium closure, bicycle racer, bicycle, extension, frame, recommendation, spread, and Korea Sports Promotion Foundation. The eight major groups produced by the CONCOR analysis includes ‘direction of bicycle race management’, ‘bicycle race trading’, ‘solution for speculative betting’, ‘award-winning career issue’, ‘racer branding’, ‘consideration for bicycle race products’, ‘trade of bicycle race products’ and ‘means for online promotion’. The word most often mentioned with the keyword ‘bicycle race’ is COVID-19, which has emerged as the biggest social issue during this period, For the past two years. On the other hand, the words relevant to betting have often been mentioned as those in the ‘bicycle race trading’ group, indicating that, for the participants in the bicycle race, betting information has one of the most important concerns. Meanwhile, ‘award-winning career issue’ and ‘racer branding’ are two groups, from which the public interests in the information of bicycle racers, especially their award-winning career, could be inferred. The groups such as ‘consideration for bicycle race products’ and ‘trade of bicycle race products’ suggest that bicycle racing has become a significant part of public sports. At the same time, the negative public perception of bicycle race is also identified from the group of ‘solution for speculative betting’ but the keyword of the ‘means for online promotion’ group is expected to be useful for future marketing to bring out positive effects." Abstract:

Abstract:
The concept of new literacies refers to new forms of literacy. The meaning of literacy is constantly changing as new technologies and new social practices emerge. To be literate in the future means being able to use a combination of new technologies and new social practices that have not yet appeared. This has important implications for education. In this paper, we analyse Finnish educational policy and strategy papers from 1998 to 2014 conducting textmining and traditional close reading. By means of lexical dispersion we separate three distinct time periods: before 2005, the years 2005–2010 and after 2010. By close reading and topic modeling, we examine the emergence of new literacies in our research material and how thisis related to the sociocultural contexts of each period of time.

Abstract:
Weather forecasting and warning is the application of science and technology to predict the state of the weather for a future time of a given location. The emergence of adverse effects of weather has endangered the life of general public in previous years. The unpredicted flood and super cyclone in many places have created havoc. The government and private agencies are working on its behaviours but still it is challenging and incomplete. But, the application of soft computing techniques in weather prediction has made a significant perfomance now a days. This research work presents the comparative study of soft computing techniques like MultiLayer Perceptron(MLP), Support Vector Machine(SVM) and J48 Decision Tree for forecasting the weather of Delhi with ten years data comprising of temperature, dew, humidity, air pressure, wind speed and visibility. This paper tries to describe the comparison among above models using four different error values like Relative Absolute Error(RAE), Mean Absolute Error(MAE), Root Mean Squared Error(RMSE) and Root Relative Squared Error(R2 ) with a proposed model by defining new algorithm. Further the performance can be enhanced if textmining will be applied in this proposed model.
