Confirmation of the composition of pharmaceutical products is an essential pharmaceutical issue. The purity and identity of active pharmaceutical ingredients (API) in the finished drug impact the effect of correct and safe pharmacotherapy. The currently frequently used advanced analytical methods are laborious and time-consuming. On the other hand, less advanced techniques such as UV-Vis spectrophotometry are less specific. In the presented study, thermogravimetry analysis (TGA)—supported by calculated differential thermal analysis (c-DTA)—was proposed to evaluate the composition of pharmaceut

Abstract:
Laterite soil is widely found in various tropical and subtropical regions. This study focuses on the physical and chemical properties of laterite soil as a precursor for geopolymer synthesis. The characteristics of the soil were determined through experimental analyses, including XRF, XRD, SEM, EDS, FTIR, TGA/DTA, and pH measurements. XRF analysis revealed that the primary chemical oxides are silica, alumina, and iron oxide, which are very essential for geopolymer production. Both XRD and FTIR assessments revealed that the calcination process applied to laterite diminishes its crystallinity wh

FTIR and TGA-DTA techniques were used for the high-defective Al-Na free silicalite characterization. Methanol reacting with external and internal silanols provides a sample modification evidenced by the combined use of these two techniques. A quantitative correlation between the FTIR and TGA data was drawn out although the incomplete methoxylation did not allow to quantify the total number of silanols. At least two distinct types of methoxylated sites were found according to their oxidation temperature which is unexpectedly high for one of them.

Various electrospun epoxized natural rubber / poly (vinyl chloride) (ENR/PVC) blend nonwoven membranes were prepared by electrospinning technique. Various concentration of epoxidized natural rubber (ENR) solution in N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF) were directly added to PVC solution for plasticization of the electrospun nanofibrous. Differencial thermal analysis (DTA), thermogravimetry analysis (TGA), fourier transfrom infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) were used to characterize the pristine and plasticized nanofibrous. DTA results indicated that the addition of

A polyethylene terephthalate – Rice husk (PET-RH) composite was produced from waste plastic water bottle and rice husk. Burning rate test, scanning electron microscope (SEM), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and differential thermal analysis (DTA) were employed to study the produced composite. The burning rate carried out on the composite revealed resistance to burning as result of the introduction of more PET material into the composite at varied proportions, it also revealed that to produce a more durable PET-RH composite, the ratio of PET to RH must be at optimum concentration to achieve a
