Abstract:
WITHDRAWAL NOTICE In our paper entitled ROC and Anova Analysis on Human Macrophage THP 1 Gene, where the corresponding author is Qingqing Li, which was published in Journal of Medical Imaging and Health Informatics, 2019, Volume 9, pp.1246–1253, there is a conflict of interest between the authors of the article. We have found that the results in Figures 1 and 2 of the article may be unreliable under different growth states of the cells. Therefore, after careful consideration, we have decided to withdraw this paper with great regret. After resolution of the problematic results, we will resubmit the manuscript. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused by the withdrawal of this article from the journal.

Abstract:
A grant is a free agreement in the form of giving part of the property to another person which cannot be withdrawn. Irrevocability is not an absolute provision because Article 1688 of the Civil Code regulates the conditions for withdrawing grants. However, the fact is that the withdrawal of the grant was given without heeding the provisions of the article. As a result, the withdrawal of grants that does not heed Article 1688 of the Civil Code will result in losses for the grantee and fall into the category of unlawful acts. The purpose of this study was to examine the cancellation of the grant granted by the judge in the decision no. 156/Pdt.G/2017/PN.Tjk with the Civil Code and analyze unlawful acts originating from the cancellation of grants that harm the grantee. To achieve this goal, the author uses a juridical-normative research method based on secondary data. Based on the research results the authors conclude that the cancellation of the grant in decision no. 156/Pdt.G/2017/PN.Tjk did not heed the provisions of Article 1688 of the Civil Code and as a result of the cancellation of the grant which harmed the grantee as compensation for fulfilling elements of an unlawful act in Article 1365 of the Civil Code.

Patterns of articles published in The Career Development Quarterly (CDQ) from 1990 to 2011 were reviewed in this metastudy. Author characteristics (e.g., gender, employment setting, nation of domicile) and article characteristics (e.g., topic, type, design, sample, sample size, participant type, statistical procedures and sophistication) were described and analyzed for trends over time. Significant changes were noted in increased proportions of female authors, international contributors, research articles, more sophisticated research designs, and decreased numbers of practitioner-authors. These trends highlight a robust journal that continues to evolve to address changing career development and counseling challenges.

First, the trust value of an article is determined by tracking the article revision history, and then the credits of authors are given according to their individual contributions to the article. Furthermore, we extended the results of authors’ credits to recommend the articles which users may be interested in or capable of editing. The main contributions of this thesis are: (1) Define and evaluate the trust value of an article. (2) Define and evaluate the credit which the author would deserve. (3) Propose a new collaborative filtering recommendation system.

Is there a difference between a contracted journalist and a freelance journalist? Which journalistic works deserve author rights protection? What is the difference between Portuguese law and other legal systems? Do we have in Portugal a true publisher related right? What are the rules imposed by a publishing contract? Did the Directive 2019/790 bring the end of the Internet? What new uses are allowed? Which of these changes are useful for journalism? What were the main changes that the Internet made in the media? What is the responsibility of digital platforms? What is the basis for the battles between journalism and news aggregators? What implications does article 15.º have in journalistic activity?These are some of the general questions that this dissertation intends to explain, as to answer the question: in what terms should the transposition of article 15.º of the Directive 2019/790 into the Portuguese legal system be guided?Thus, the present dissertation traces a path through the regime of author rights protection in the journalistic activity in the portuguese legal order and in terms of comparative law, by explaining the relationship between author and the editor in Portugal, by exposing the fundamentals and giving insight in the scope of Directive 2019/790 and, finally, through the analysis of article 15.º of the Directive, concerning the protection of press publications regarding online uses.The so controversial Directive 2019/790 established in its article 15.º a new related right, “sui generis”, aiming to ensure media remuneration for the use of online services that emerged with the Internet, such as news aggregators or the monitoring services of social media.

Forensic transport examinations are one of the highly effective means of establishing circumstances in the investigation of crimes against traffic safety and operation of transport or the commission of certain traffic accidents. The work is mainly devoted to the use of special knowledge in the field of forensic motor vehicle (automotive) expertise in the investigation of road accidents; the conceptual foundations of the private theory of forensic transport expertise have not been considered by scientists. In addition, the theory and practice of judicial water transport, air transport, and rail transport examinations have not been studied to date. Based on the studied judicial, investigative and expert practice, the needs of investigative authorities (in relation to the investigation of crimes provided for in Chapter 27 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, as well as Article 238 of the Criminal Code), the author synthesizes special knowledge in the field of automotive, air, water (inland and marine) and rail (railway, street (urban) land electric and off-street (metro)) transport in order to form a unified private theory. Taking into account the latest changes in legislation, the monograph examines the norms of administrative-tort and criminal legislation providing for administrative and criminal liability for illegal archaeological activities in the Russian Federation. According to the author, the emerging judicial practice in Russia in cases of administrative offenses provided for in Articles 7.15, 7.15.1 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation, and criminal cases of a crime provided for in Article 243.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation raises many questions, which requires further improvement of Russian legislation in the field of protection of cultural heritage objects.&#x0D; The author suggests a number of innovations that could be taken into account when developing a law on archaeological heritage sites and on improving the relevant protective norms. Special attention is paid to the analysis of norms-definitions that reveal the content of the basic concepts: "archaeological heritage object", "archaeological objects", "cultural layer". The necessity of abandoning the "floating" age criterion (at least one hundred years old), fixed in the Federal Law "On Objects of Cultural Heritage (historical and cultural monuments) of the peoples of the Russian Federation", is substantiated. Instead of the age criterion, it is proposed to introduce the concept of "archaeological epoch" into legal circulation. The content of the concepts is also revealed: "illegal search and seizure of archaeological objects from the archaeological cultural layer", "archaeological cultural layer", "damage to the archaeological cultural layer", "destruction of the archaeological cultural layer".&#x0D; It is intended for scientists and practitioners, law enforcement officials, public authorities and local self-government, teachers, graduate students and students of law schools and faculties, historians, as well as anyone interested in the legal protection of archaeological heritage sites.

Abstract This chapter discusses moral rights associated with copyright, covering the right of paternity, right of integrity, right of divulgation, right of withdrawal, and limitations and waiver of moral rights. Moral rights secure the bond between an author and his work through several legal ties. Two of these rights, required of all Berne Union members since the 1928 Rome Act, are the author’s right to claim paternity or authorship of her work and her right to the work’s integrity—to object to any distortion of the work. Both rights are secured by Article 6bis of the 1971 Paris Act. Many countries also recognize a moral right of divulgation, or disclosure, and some recognize a right to withdraw the work from circulation if it no longer represents the author’s views.

Abstract The three-volume novel costing 31s. 6d. survived for over six decades thanks to the purchasing influence of the circulating libraries. In June 1894, following longstanding complaints, Mudie’s and W. H. Smith finally withdrew their support by announcing that they would pay no more than 4s. per volume for fiction. The rejection of the ‘triple-decker’ by Walter Besant (1836-1901) is significant because, as well as being a novelist, he edited The Author (1890), the journal of the Society of Authors (Besant had helped found the society in 1884). This article, written for a progressive American literary periodical, The Dial (1880— 1929), explains why authors disliked the three-volume format.

The text describes the profile and legacy of Flora Szczepanowska (1884–1929), a pedagogue from the interwar period, a teacher of solfège and eurhythmics at the Music Conservatory in Poznań, author of valuable scientific articles, supporter of the absolute method and a student of Émile Jaques-Dalcroze’s, whose thoughts and ideas she transferred to Poland, e.g. by establishing an innovative music school in Lviv. A biographical sketch of Flora Szczepanowska was presented, based on archival newspaper clippings that the author managed to find, including a list of the most important works related to the methodology of ear training in students of early education, as well as the absolute method proposed by Flora Szczepanowska. The author emphasized her innovative approach to teaching the subject, which at that time was known as “solfège”. The model of the organization of an elementary music school proposed by Flora Szczepanowska, prepared by her at the request of the Legislative Committee for the Music Education System at the Ministry of Religious Denominations and Public Education in 1929, was discussed, and the attitude of the contemporaries and their successors to its achievements was presented. In the light of the latest scientific reports, the achievements of this precipitously withdrawn solfège turns out to be surprisingly accurate and, undoubtedly, deserves more attention.

Abstract:
In the article on the material of the Salzburg weekly «New Days» (1945–1947) various spheres of activity of Peter Volyniak are presented. It is noted that this edition was a business card of the publishing house of the same name and had a history of continuation: in Toronto Petro Volyniak restored the publishing house of the same name and continued the publication in the format of the universal monthly «New Days» (1950–1969). The article also presents periodicals («Latest News», «New Days», «Timpani», «Our Way») and literary, artistic and scientific collection «Steering Wheel», which were published in the Salzburg publishing house of Peter Volyniak «New Days». The purpose of the publication is to trace the path of Petro Volyniak from a writer to a literary critic, journalist and publisher. This trend is reproduced in chronological order. Peter Volyniak as a writer is informed in the article «Literary Evening of P. Volyniak» (author – M. Ch-ka). O. Satsyuk’s literary-critical article is devoted to the coverage of ideological and artistic aspects of Petro Volyniak’s collection «The Earth Calls» (Salzburg, 1947). Petro Volyniak as a literary critic is presented in an article devoted to a collection of literary tales by A. Kolomiyets (Salzburg, 1946), which was published by «New Days». Petro Volyniak as a journalist presents the essay «This is our song…». With the help of content analysis it was observed that the text is divided into two parts: the first contains the author’s reflections on the Ukrainian song, its role in the life of the Ukrainian people; in the second, main, Peter Okopny’s activity abroad is presented. The publisher Petro Volyniak in 1947 in a separate publication of the February issue of the weekly summarizes the third year of activity, providing statistics on the publication of periodicals, books, postcards, calendars, various small format materials. The analyzed material demonstrated the experience of combining creative work and commercial activity.

The article is a reference to a scientific publication by Mykola Tymoshyk, Professor and Head of the Department of Journalism at the Kyiv National University of Culture and Arts, who raised a number of topical issues in the field of national journalism studies. The purpose of this review is to examine the main points of this article through the prism of my teaching (primarily lecturing) and journalistic experience. Using the method of content analysis, the article discusses the controversial issues related to the concept of «journalism genre», distinguishes the strengths of the researcher’s main theses on the theory and practice of genres. The article points out the valuable aspects of Prof. Tymoshyk’s article for researchers of journalistic genres, especially with regard to the grouping of genres in the works of foreign authors (European and American schools of journalism). These groupings are supplemented by the vision of German authors - researchers of media genres. In this article the author uses the historical method to examine the current works of Ukrainian media scholars on the issue of the main groups of genres. The author discusses with Prof. M. Tymoshyk on the subject of presence of some genres in the media of our information space and the expediency of their consideration in the studies of media researchers. Attention is paid to the advantages of this publication in relation to the following issues: the ambiguity of journalistic investigation from the point of view of journalism theory, the expediency of using the concept of «hybrid genres» in scientific texts of media researchers. The conclusion about necessity of further research on the issues of genre creation in journalism, especially in the context of the current war is made. The researcher’s thesis about the importance of not theoretical «new products» in the form of new names of genres as forms of journalistic presentation, but the substantiation of their varieties within the existing genres of national journalism is accepted.
