In january 2013, I travelled with my studio to Israel. This project is a collection of what I experienced on our journey through the country, and the thoughts it evoked. It is also a collection of symbols and metaphors found in the areas we visited. Tel Aviv is widely known as the “White City”. According to the myth, it rose out of the dunes of sand as a new Hebrew city. Kladno-Rakovník Basin and especially its western part is well known for its abundant silicified wood, so-called as "araukarity". The occurrence of these fossils is described since the 19th century, however, modern systematic classification is lacking.
