Nesta dissertação foi proposta a avaliação da estratégia de coleta de células progenitoras hematopoéticas por aférese ocorridas no Hemorio no período de julho de 2004 a julho de 2015 com o objetivo de verificar se a eficiência ou a eficácia de coleta se deterioram nos dias subsequentes. Os resultados desse estudo podem indicar que há um dia mais favorável para a coleta, no qual o processamento de maiores volumes de sangue poderá aumentar a chance de sucesso, reservando os dias subsequentes como exceção e não como regra, reduzindo os riscos e os custos associados às coletas múltiplas.
