This paper aims to see whether the EU enlargement was associated with positive, negative or non-effect on Poland’s economic growth. To be able to answer this question we use the econometric method, time series with data from 1997 to 2018. The determinants of economic growth in Poland are set of variables selected based on previous studies in the same field of our study. The findings of this study shows that there is no significant relationship between economic growth and the EU enlargement in the case of Poland. The determinants of economic growth have long been of interest, and have been empirically investigated in a number of recent studies. A common question in this area is: why have some countries achieved high rates of economic growth whilst the others remained at lower levels? Evidence from the literature indicates that some countries, particularly East Asian countries or small island states exploiting their own comparative advantage, achieve very rapid rate of growth and catch up with already well-off countries. The main purpose of this study is to examine the causal relations between energy use, CO2 emissions and economic growth for Sweden. Vector Error Correction model with annual data from 1970 to 2016 has been used in order to determine potential causality between the variables. According to orthodox theory, a key objective of stabilisation policies is to raise the relative price of tradeables to that of nontradeables. This should lead to a relative expansion of tradeables production. The factors of production that would benefit most are those intensively utilised in the expanding (tradeables) sector.
