Abstract:
This topic examines the most important aspect of cognitive linguistics, which concerns how linguistic units reflect structures and categories existing in human thinking. A conceptual field is a system of related concepts that are perceived and interpreted based on life experience, culture, and cognitive mechanisms. Cognitive linguistics focuses on understanding how various linguistic expressions (such as metaphors, frames, and schemas) help organize and categorize conceptual structures in human consciousness. The study of conceptual fields allows for a deeper understanding of how individuals construct meanings and build semantic relationships between objects and phenomena in the world. An important role in this process is played by the conceptual metaphor, which serves as a bridge between abstract and concrete concepts, as well as cognitive schemas that organize our knowledge of the world.

Abstract:
Field Linguistics essentially relates to the method of gathering linguistic information and studying the linguistic phenomenon of a considerably less-studied language. Theories about the origin and nature of language and the interactions between languages have often characterized investigations here. Although, the name field linguistics might imply that the investigation must be carried in the field, a linguist can bring his source to himself. Fieldwork also bears a direct relationship with language description and thus the more fieldwork; the more information about the variability of language will be available to us. This paper aims to find the answer of these questions - what do we achieve through linguistic fieldwork and how does linguistics play an influential role in this kind of fieldwork. To explain this co-relation - linguistics as the technique in the fieldwork, its processes, common steps, used tools, ethical issues etc. are also discussed in here. Additionally, the idea and measurement along with the endangered languages of Bangladesh are also presented in here. Analysis level in linguistic fieldwork and creating a sketch grammar are two important aspects in the discussion in field linguistics. These dyadic scenarios are also introduced in this paper. At the end of the paper, some real life linguistic projects that ensembles collection of texts, activities and repositories regarding linguistic fieldwork are also briefly introduced.

Abstract:
Second language acquisition research (sla) is the systematic exploration of the conditions that make the acquisition of a foreign language possible, both in natural and in instructional settings. Its objects of study are the biological, linguistic, psychological, and emotional makeup of language learners and the educational, social, and institutional context of learning and teaching. Whereas language as a linguistic system is studied through the metalanguage of linguistics (phonology, syntax, and semantics), language learning, as psycholinguistic process and sociolinguistic discourse, is researched through the metadiscourse of applied linguistics: psycho- and sociolinguistics, anthropological and educational linguistics, discourse analysis, pragmatics, stylistics, and composition and literacy studies. These fields illuminate what it means to learn to speak, read, write, and interact in a foreign language, what it means to appropriate for oneself the national idiom of communities that share a history and a culture that are different from one's own. SLA provides the applied linguistic metadiscourse for the practice of language learning and teaching.

Abstract:
Language plays a crucial role in organizing social life. Problems with language use cause a person to be alienated from the mainstream of society. This is where the Clinical Linguistics comes in handy to address various types of language impairments. The subject of this dissertation is the practical aspects of clinical linguistics that help individuals regain language proficiency through the diagnosis, analysis, and treatment of language problems. Here we analyze the origin and growth of this study, a sub-discipline of applied linguistics, the activities carried out by this branch of linguistics for linguistic problem solving, and their methodology. Clinical linguistics is an interdisciplinary field of study that combines different scientific disciplines such as linguistics, psychology, speech and language pathology, neuroscience, and education. This field of study, which identifies and suggests solutions to problems in language structure, language use, and communication, is very relevant in practical life. Since errors in communication through language can negatively affect an individual’s intellectual and social development, such errors need to be identified and corrected early. The field of study known as clinical linguistics becomes effective when the various branches of linguistics are appropriately utilized in the medical field. Linguistic elements such as language structure, phonology, syntax, semantics, and practical approaches are utilized in clinical linguistics. Linguistic knowledge is applied in the medical field to assess and diagnose language disorders and prescribe appropriate treatment. All of these issues are analyzed in this paper. The scope of this study also includes the relevance of implementing clinical linguistics principles in contemporary society, especially in the educational process as the teachers are the ones who can anticipate students’ linguistic problems and suggest appropriate solutions. This paper also discusses the importance of providing them with the necessary training. Only if the concepts related to clinical linguistics, which are rapidly growing worldwide, are applied in the Kerala context, will their benefits reach the new generation. Based on this understanding, this study addresses the need for the Kerala community to embrace such timely and innovative fields of study and the means to do so.

Abstract:
A bilingual Persian-English terminology for linguistics has not yet been compiled. A linguistic terminology plays a crucial role in organizing and indexing information in scientific documents, standardizing vocabulary, and facilitating the search and retrieval of information in linguistic databases and related linguistic research. The most significant challenge in producing and compiling a bilingual Persian-English linguistic terminology is designing a conceptual map of the field of linguistics. Finding suitable equivalents in Persian for English terms, as well as the existence of various perspectives and schools of thought within this field, are difficulties encountered in this research. The presence of Persian-speaking linguists specializing in different branches of linguistics, along with the availability of numerous English and Persian resources in the field of linguistics, as well as the expertise and experience in designing conceptual maps and compiling terminologies based on them at the Iran National Science Foundation (Irandaak), provided a valuable opportunity to design and compile a general conceptual map of the field of linguistics. This map was created using specialized English and Persian terms in the field of linguistics, taking into account the classifications within the discipline, so that in a subsequent project, a bilingual Persian-English linguistic terminology could be developed based on it.

Abstract:
This research describes the contribution of linguistics in forensic linguistics, especially in a legal context. This research is library research. The analysis shows that forensic linguistics applies language analysis and linguistic theories in linguistic events involved in the legal process, including products, interactions in the judicial process, and interactions between individuals that result in certain legal impacts. Forensic linguistic analysis involves linguistic fields, including phonetics, semantics, discourse and pragmatics, stylistics, morphological, syntactical, and sociological. The important role of forensic linguistics is supporting the law enforcement process, examining counterfeit documents, detecting plagiarism/lies, and analyzing sound recordings and conversations directly and indirectly. With the ‘power’ of the analysis tool of each branch, the results and conclusions obtained by linguistics forensic experts may indicate a high level of confidence. Many legal cases occur in society, including oral or written in social media such as cases of insults, defamation, threats, fraud, bullying, criticism, mockery, instigation, slander, insults, and defamation also other cases can be solved by using a forensic linguistic perspective. These cases may be quite challenging because everyone in this field is required to have comprehensive linguistic abilities with the support of elaborative capabilities of the use of spoken language or writing.

Abstract:
Corpora have emerged as a transformative tool in the field of linguistics, providing researchers with a robust, data-driven approach to understanding language use. By compiling large collections of texts-ranging from written documents to transcriptions of spoken language-corpus linguistics enables the analysis of authentic language in its natural context. Corpora in applied linguistics have revolutionized the study of language by providing a data-driven approach to understanding linguistic phenomena. By analyzing large collections of naturally occurring texts, researchers can uncover patterns, frequencies, and contextual usages that are not easily identifiable through traditional methods. This approach has not only enhanced the theoretical foundations of linguistics but has also offered practical applications in fields such as language teaching, discourse analysis, and translation studies. As highlighted by Hunston (2002), McEnery and Hardie (2011), and Biber, Conrad, and Reppen (1998), the integration of corpus methodologies into linguistic research has not only deepened theoretical insights but also provided practical tools for educators and researchers alike. Susan Hunston's "Corpora in Applied Linguistics," now in its second edition, serves as a comprehensive guide to these methodologies, reflecting the advancements in the field over the past two decades. This review aims to provide an in-depth evaluation of Hunston's work, highlighting its significance, distinct features, and contributions to the field of applied linguistics.

The author emphasizes that the metalanguage of linguistics is a complex phenomenon, which, on the one hand, there are the system relations between terms, on the other one there are general academic vocabulary, words and phrases that are used when describing various aspects of linguistic research. Terminology of linguistics requires a special effort in the studying, because the object-language and metalanguage coincide in terms of expression, that is, have the same substance. The article presents the analysis of the metalanguage state of French linguistics, which is a diachronic interweaving of numerous schools and directions, author’s theories and concepts; the distinctive features of the French linguistic terminology are examined. It is noted that in the semiotic aspect the French linguistic terminology is characterized by the following properties: French linguistic term is a simple or complex sign that in the framework of French lingui stics embodies a linguistic concept in its meaning. Terminological field of French linguistics meets the semantic space that is a counterpart of the French linguistics as a special subject area and includes the totality of semantic fields of general lingui stic, grammatical, phonetic, phonological and lexicological terms.

Abstract:
This study explores war linguistics as a new field in applied linguistics, reflecting the unique characteristics of linguistic representation of military art through mass media. The paper identifies potential approaches that define the substantive and informative aspects of military linguistics, converging withmilitary discourse in an existential challenge addressed by science. Accordingly, the subject of military linguistics research includes linguistic tools of operational art theory (operations and combat actions), tactical theory (preparation and conduct of battle), and strategic theory (military management), oriented towards accurate interpretation of the military context in media coverage. The conceptual framework of war linguistics is outlined, demonstrating that all concepts function cyclically, maintaining a balance between the interrelation and interdependence of political subjects, political processes, and elements of military discourse. Drawing on the methodologies of military strategy and tactics, as well as linguistic pragmatics, the study identifies key concepts such as military communication, military discourse, militarypolitical terminology, military-political text, and military journalism. It is concluded that within the study of linguistic phenomena in military discourse and military journalism, the political strategies of countries, and corpus patterns, the text is a product of war linguistics and represents the pinnacle of contextual similarity in clustered paradigms in the realms of politicallinguistics, territory and resources, history and culture, ideology, and economic policy. In military journalism, various linguistic levels are influenced by the Russo-Ukrainian war, characterized by new trends in interpreting linguistic changes due to the numerous appearances of war-related collocations innewspaper publications.

The field of linguistics, the scientific study of human natural language, is a growing and exciting area of study, with an important impact on fields as diverse as education, anthropology, sociology, language teaching, cognitive psychology, philosophy, computer science, neuroscience, and artificial intelligence, among others. Indeed, the last five fields cited, along with linguistics, are the key components of the field of cognitive science, the study of the structure and functioning of human cognitive processes. In spite of the importance of the field of linguistics, many people, even highly educated people, will tell you that they have only a vague idea of what the field is about. Some believe that a linguist is a person who speaks several languages fluently. What is linguistics, then? Fundamentally, the field is concerned with the nature of language and (linguistic) communication. It is apparent that people have been fascinated with language and communication for thousands of years, yet in many ways we are only beginning to understand the complex nature of this aspect of human life.

Abstract:
Development of linguistics has gone through various stages until it became an independent science. The universal structure of the language, as well as the features that distinguish it from other languages, form the basis of linguistic research. Linguistics researchers have different views and fields of study on this basis. Throughout the history of linguistics, research on language and the methods used by these researches have led to the emergence of different schools. Scientists who were influenced from each others, used the same methods in the language they studied and from time to time they contributed to the expansion of linguistics by adding on these methods and studies. Similar processes exist for linguistic studies in Russia. Russian linguists, who are followers of the studies in the field of linguistics, have been the founders of new movements and schools, while operating on a similar level to the studies of other scientists. In the beginning, dictionary studies and research in the field of dictionary and grammar studies have evolved into evaluation of nature of language, comparison of languages, evaluating historical aspects, social and spiritual aspects of language. The intensity of studies in the field of linguistics in Russia increased gradually in the 19th century and formed the basis for 20th-century linguistic studies. Russian linguists who carried out their studies in the 19th-century both influenced their contemporaries and became a guided 20th-century linguists. In this respect, the aim of the study is to examine the developmental stages of linguistics in Russia based on the history of linguistics and to reveal these stages in general terms. In addition, the studies of Russian linguists and the development of Russian linguistics in the historical process are mentioned.

Linguistic pragmatics is one of the most promising and new areas of modern linguistics, which is an integral part of the theory of language and is studied in the course of general linguistics. Lingvopragmatics refers to the study of how language is used in specific contexts and social settings. It combines the fields of pragmatics, which studies how meaning is constructed through language use, and linguistics, which studies the scientific structure and function of language. This field examines how pragmatic factors such as social context, speaker intentions, implication, presupposition, and the cooperative principle interact with linguistic elements to influence communication.

Abstract:
The article analyzes applied linguistics as a field of knowledge in the Canadian experience and its interdisciplinary interactions. It is pointed out that interdisciplinary interaction with other sciences such as psychology, sociology, informatics, semiotics, cybernetics, etc. determined the evolution of linguistic research in recent decades. In the result of the integration of scientific efforts, such complex sciences as psycholinguistics, sociolinguistics, cognitive linguistics, computer linguistics, neurolinguistics, etc. have emerged. It is noted that the interdisciplinary interaction of applied linguistics contributes to its formation as a field of knowledge, enriching research and solving complex linguistic problems. It is established that the connection of applied linguistics with other scientific fields contributed to a comprehensive understanding of language and its use in various fields. The nature, advantages and influence of interdisciplinary connections of applied linguistics in Canada with other fields of knowledge are analyzed. In particular, the connection of applied linguistics with psychology offers an understanding of the cognitive processes involved in language acquisition. At their intersection, the subfield of psycholinguistics emerges. Leading researchers have identified psycholinguistics as the study of how people perceive, create, and understand language. It is noted that the interdisciplinary connection of applied linguistics and sociology solves the problems of language identity, diversity and the influence of social variables on language learning and use. It is determined that the connection of applied linguistics with information technologies, in particular with computational linguistics, contributes to the progress of computer-aided language learning (CALL) and innovative approaches to language learning. It is highlighted that interdisciplinary collaborations in applied linguistics have many advantages, such as a deeper and more thorough comprehension of language-related problems, creative approaches to research, and the creation of workable solutions to real-world language problems.

Abstract:
The paper presents the structure of a multilingual dictionary of keywords, which is an integral part of the bibliographic database of Slavic linguistics iSybislaw representing the digital information retrieval system (www.isybislaw.ispan.waw.pl). The lexical units (keywords) of the language of keywords used in the system are represented primarily by linguistic terms. In spite of a different denotation – the keywords directly denote sets of documents, and indirectly the non-documentary reality, while the terms denote elements of linguistic reality – they are formally equal with linguistic terms, which allows them to map the semantic field of a particular discipline, in this case Slavic linguistics. The dictionary is therefore a domain-based online specialist dictionary, which is a tool for users of the bibliographic database of Slavic linguistics. The dictionary is addressed to all those who deal with linguistics and linguistic terminology, first of all to scholar-linguists, Ph.D. students and students of philologies, as well as translators of academic papers in the field of linguistics.

Abstract:
The article presents an overview of modern research in the field of computational and corpus linguistics. The relevance of the work is due to the fact that these areas are rapidly developing, so it is important to present an overview in Russian of the possibilities and achievements of computational linguistics. The work uses theoretical research methods. The article consists of two sections. The first examines the main studies in the field of corpus linguistics, the second briefly presents the achievements of computational linguistics. It is noted that corpus data have become an important source of data for linguistic works on various issues. Corpus information is used in studies of lexical semantics, grammar, discourse, history of language, author's individual style, etc., as well as for solving practical problems related to translation and language teaching. In general, work carried out using corpus data can be classified as functional and is often based on a distributive (thesaurus) approach to meaning. Computational linguistics is a broad field of research located at the intersection of linguistics, mathematics and information technology. The achievements of modern computational linguistics are used in practical tasks (automatic generation and perception of text, indexing and analysis of information). For the automation of speech, formal models of description are used, which assume consistent graphematic (phonological), morphological, syntactic, semantic and discourse analysis. Modern language models, which are most often trained on special corpora, are also used to solve linguistic problems. This work is addressed to linguists, specialists in the field of information technology, as well as students of philological and information sciences.

What to get – a comprehensive reference grammar (written in terms of basic linguistic theory), a volume of texts, and a dictionary/thesaurus. What to do: insofar as possible, become a member of the community (for ‘immersion fieldwork’); analyse texts; only use elicitation at a late stage, within the language of study (not from a lingua franca). How to work with consultants (and some things which should be avoided). Writing up the grammar. There is a short final section concerning field methods courses in a university.

In the research, forensic linguistics was considered as a young branch of linguistics. In modern science, it is very important to reveal the paradigmatic essence of the science of linguistic expertise. The paper examines the scientific apparatus of forensic linguistics of a new direction in general linguistics, the names of concepts characteristic of this field, and describes the conclusions of research scholars who have studied it. The analysis of some judicial expert processes is also carried out. It is known that forensic linguistics began to form at the junction of language and law as a new area of expertise. This field of science is becoming very important and relevant due to the lack of a system of linguistic and legal concepts and its unified terminology and the high demand for theoretical and applied linguistics. Until the present, no comparative analysis of the subject and the subject of the study of judicial linguistics and speech education in court has been conducted. Therefore, this study creates prerequisites for the formation of the theory of Kazakh forensic linguistics based on theoretical conclusions in linguistics. Investigations on the intersection of interdisciplinary sciences open up new facets of the field of pragmalinguistics of linguistics and contributes to the deepening of knowledge.

ABSTRACT This article aims to analyze the possible dialogues between Linguistics of Enunciation and Ecolinguistics, considering mainly the studies of Benveniste and Bakhtin, in the field of Enunciation, and Couto, in the field of Ecolinguistics, especially Ecosystemic Linguistics. This interrelation is proposed since both fields represented a great change in what was being done until their emergence, offering new ways of studying and seeing linguistic phenomena, therefore, they present some points in which they differ and others that they have in common. Thus, one can notice the presence of enunciation theories traces in the presuppositions of Ecolinguistics/Ecosystemic Linguistics, despite the fact that the latter has reworked the concepts and presented a reformulated perspective. The relationship between the theoretical fields is related to the ecology of communicative interaction. However, Ecosystem Linguistics innovates more in the sense of looking at its object in its entirety and not seeing language as the realization of a system that produces a text, but rather as a (communicative) interaction between two people. The whole of the dialogue is emphasized, not just its product.

Students find linguistics at times abstract and intimidating and they have a hard time understanding how they can apply what they learn in our classes to the real world and how to relate their cultural/community experiences to it. As a consequence, we inadvertently restrict the pool of linguistic students. Inspired bywork done by Hudley et al. (2017), Trester (2017), Chávez & Longerbeam (2016), and by my personal experiences, I created a series of activities for my introduction to linguistics and syntax courses to respond to this problem. I offer some suggestions on how to make our linguistics courses more practical and relatable to our students, in particular first-generation students. The long-term goal is to organically engage and retain a diverse pool of students, thus enriching our field with their perspectives. We can achieve this goal by balancing teaching practices across cultural frameworks.

Abstract:
The interdisciplinary character of the science of language causes great difficulties in bibliographic support in this field. The object of bibliographing in linguistics is not only literature on the language, but also a variety of linguistic resources, which represent a special object to study a branch of linguistics - lexicography. Bibliography of linguistics is the least studied field by specialists among humanitarian bibliographic complexes. The paper first studied the array of domestic bibliographic sources for more than 150 years; the most significant of them are shown. The subject of research is national bibliographic resources in the linguistics field. The objective is to characterize the historical development of the linguistic bibliography in Russia. To achieve this goal we had to solve a number of tasks: identify existing sources for ongoing historical research; to trace the history of forming bibliographic sources, bibliography of bibliographies of linguistics; to form and analyze the body of bibliographic materials; to characterize the problematic areas in the bibliographic software of linguistics. Using the bibliometric analysis it was studied an array of bibliographic products published between 1860 and 2013, the dynamics of bibliographic resources formation was determined, the degree of bibliographic support of some topics and issues in linguistic science and prior directions of their development were revealed. The main results of the study should be considered: 1. The nuclear of fundamental indices on general and applied linguistics is singled out in analyzed literature sources covering the period 1918-1977, as well as in Slavic linguistics for 1825-1981. The complex of current and retrospective bibliographic products was formed and replenished in the country in 1963-1988. 2. The largest share of bibliographic sources in linguistics is presented by book and article bibliography (over 70%), many of which remain bibliographically unrecorded and unused. 3. The following subject areas of linguistics are considered to be bibliographically supported: inter-linguistics, culture of speech and language norms, lexicography, linguistic geography, linguistics regional geography, onomastics. 4. An obvious need to continue the index or database of bibliographic aids in the field of linguistics over the past 50 years is marked. 5. Further development of the linguistics bibliography is impossible to imagine without creating an electronic guide on the bibliographic resources of linguistics, which would reflect the diversity of bibliographical resources and provide their rich information potential for professionals and remote users

Abstract:
The article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the stages of formation and development of corpus linguistics. The purpose of the article is to analyze various scientific approaches to the scientific significance of this linguistic discipline and identify a set of concepts and criteria that form the foundation of this field. Corpus linguistics is one of the most promising and rapidly developing areas of language research. Linguistics of the XIX century set as its goal the study of language as such, and linguistics of the XXI century sees the relevance of the research not in identifying absolute linguistic categories and meanings but in the practical application of linguistic knowledge. The relevance of the article is determined by the fact that the linguistic corpus contains a vast potential, which the scientific community has not fully comprehended since the text as the main object of corpus linguistics in various forms of its implementation is one of the central components systems of language and speech-thinking activity of a modern native speaker of any language. The content and volume of linguistic corpora of various kinds allow obtaining reliable information about the modern and real use of a particular term: the corpus becomes a tool for analyzing the functioning of this term both in the linguistic field of morphology, syntax, and vocabulary and in the theory and practice of translation, identifying the register of its formal or informal usage. The fundamental novelty of this studys results allows us to speak about the legitimacy of the creation of corpus dictionaries and corpus grammars of a new generation, developed and verified concerning a specific fixed corpus. Simultaneously, the author substantiates the proposition that the corpus nature of dictionaries and grammars increases their reliability and objectivity and avoids the subjectivity that is often characteristic of research-based solely on the intuition of a linguist. The corpus is a medium for obtaining new scientific data, the comprehension of which seems to be a priority for modern linguistic description and necessary in the scientific activity of a modern researcher. From our point of view, this article's relevance and novelty lie in the fact that the expediency of corpus research is an essential requirement of the time, associated with a new quality of linguistic reality and meeting the needs of modern society. The article examines the main stages of the formation of corpus linguistics as a scientific field, characterizes the scientific concepts and approaches inherent in each of these stages, provides an overview of the main conceptual provisions of corpus linguistics within the framework of domestic and foreign linguistics. The author analyzes in detail the polemics between representatives of various scientific directions and reveals the advantages of one or another approach, traces the similarities and differences between approaches to the study of corpora at various historical stages of their formation. The review's focus is the role and place of corpus studies of language in modern linguistics, comparison of the pro and contra arguments of the use of corpus technologies in linguistic description. Considerable attention is paid to the main criteria for the classification of corpora, a brief overview of the most famous corpora in history is offered, and the prospects for their use in various fields of modern language science are discussed.

Abstract:
AbstractAny discussion of transdisciplinary applied linguistics needs to engage with three central questions. First, whileinterdisciplinarity may allow for disciplines to stay in place and engage with each other, transdisciplinarity implies a space beyond or above disciplines. As a result, we have to consider whether applied linguistics is seen as a discipline (in which case it is not transdisciplinary) or whether it is seen as a transdisciplinary field of study (in which case it is not a discipline). Second, while applied linguists may engage with work from other fields – sociology, geography, philosophy, cognitive science are common examples – this does not necessarily mean that we engage with those fields as disciplines. Rather, the engagement with such work is often on the basis that relevant thinkers are engaging themselves with broader epistemic shifts. Such work may therefore be seen as having to do withepistemesrather than disciplines. Third, a focus on transdisciplinarity obscures broader concerns about unequal relations of knowledge production, particularly between North and South. If applied linguistics is to become a responsible field of work, it needs to engage with southern epistemologies. In order to do so, applied linguistic practices can be more usefully understood as temporary assemblages of thought and action that come together at particular moments when language-related concerns need to be addressed. This flexible account helps us see how applied linguistic practices are assemblages of different language-oriented projects, epistemes and matters of concern.

This article explores the semantic and cultural dimensions of the abstract emotional concept hope, focusing on its linguistic realizations in English (hope) and Uzbek (umid). Anchored in the theory of lexical-semantic fields, the study examines how individual lexemes serve as cognitive and cultural signposts, contributing to broader worldview construction within a given language. By employing componential analysis, contrastive lexicography, and cultural linguistics, the article maps the core and peripheral meanings associated with hope/umid, identifying both universal emotional structures and culture-specific semantic patterns. The article demonstrates that lexical items like hope and umid are not merely linguistic units but carriers of cultural memory and emotional worldview, highlighting the dynamic relationship between language, thought, and cultural identity.
