Madness and betrayal are poignant themes in the works of Shakespeare and, more contemporarily, in Hassan Blasim's "The Madman of Freedom Square." Both literary works tackle the complexities of human psychology, exploring the destructive consequences of mistrust, deceit, and madness. This psychoanalysis study aims to analyze the depiction of these two characters within the perspective of madness and betrayal in both works, examining the way they shape the characters in terms of behaviors and actions. Abstract:
This paper is concerned with the identification problem of two degree of freedom robot arm’s joints’ time-varying stiffness. The dynamic equation of two degrees of freedom robot arm can be obtained by using analytical mechanics method. Then by choosing limited memory least square method, time-varying stiffness can be identified. Finally, the calculative stiffness is compared to the “real” stiffness which is simulated in ADAMS. The whole process shows that the robot arm’s dynamic model and the method of identification are both effective.

Abstract:
Based on the energy analysis of a multi-degree-of-freedom (MDOF) system, a mode decomposition method for the input seismic energy is proposed, which substitutes a MDOF system with equivalent single-degree-of-freedom (SDOF) systems. The input seismic energy is obtained, using the actual earthquake data. The influence of ground motion parameters is analyzed. The results show that the seismic input energy increases proportionally with the square of ground motion acceleration peak. The bigger the predominant period is, the more the input seismic energy is.

Abstract:
Purpose This study aims to expand the conventional tax effort model to incorporate relevant economic freedom variables to investigate whether economic freedom fosters tax revenue performance in `sub-Saharan Africa (SSA). Design/methodology/approach This study uses data from 42 countries across the four sub-regions of SSA from the period 2005 to 2012 with 252 year-country observations in an unbalanced panel method. The data were statistically treated using feasible generalised least square (FGLS) and panel-corrected standard errors (PCSE) estimate techniques. Findings The findings are twofold.

Abstract:
We investigate the mean-square stability for single-degree-of-freedom linear systems with random parametric excitation. The excitation is assumed to be of the form of a Gaussian stationary non-white process. We propose a new numerical approach to determine regions of parametric resonances based on a closure procedure for hierarchy of moment equations. Mean-square stability charts are obtained using the numerical analysis of eigenvalues for large-scale matrices. The results show three parametric resonances for narrow-band excitations.

In the paper, the decoupling control method based on least square support vector machine (LS-SVM) inverse system is proposed, and adopting the method realizes decoupling control of an AC-DC three degrees of freedom hybrid magnetic bearing (AC-DC-3DOF-HMB). Aimed at the complicated multivariate nonlinear, strong coupling system of the AC-DC-3DOF-HMB, the reversibility of original system was analyzed, by the ability of least square support vector machines (LS-SVM) in universal approximation and identification fitting to get inverse model of AC-DC three degrees of freedom hybrid magnetic bearing.

Existentialism is an approach that emphasizes human existence. It opposes rationalist tradition and culture by emphasizing action, and freedom, and choosing them as important to human existence. This study is an attempt to unveil Maya Angelou’s existential themes in her poems. Angelou, as an African-American poet naturally possess the existentialistic attitude and fought for the freedom of her community. The selected poems for this study are: “Times-Square-Shoeshine-Composition”, “Harlem Hopscotch”, and “Africa”. Most of her poems are found with the themes of pain, hope, quest for freedom and

Network control systems (NCSs) where the problems of data packet dropout induced by communication channel is studied in this paper. We model the data packet dropout a Markov Jump Linear systems and introduce a freedom matrix. Our goal is to find a controller such that the Markov Jump Linear systems mean square stable. According to linear matrix inequalities (LMI), we can get the sufficient condition on the mean square stabilization of NCSs. Finally, a numerical example is provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
