Motivation as a stimulating and regulating force of person’s character influences the result of all kinds of activities. There are many research works devoted to the connections of motivation and activities in psychological literature. The article analyzes the study of the problem of motivation in scientific sources, analyzes the motivation to learn adolescents and considers the specifics of motivation to learn in adolescence. Approaches to the study of personality motivation are determined, the connection of motivation with the cognitive needs of the personality and different types of activity is shown, as well as its influence on the efficiency of knowledge acquisition. It is determined that learning motivation is characterized by focus, stability and dynamism, excited by the hierarchy of motives, which may be dominated by either internal motives related to the content of this activity and its implementation, or broad social motives related to the need to take a position. system of social relations. Taking into account the age specifics of the modern teenager, the structure of his educational motivation is specified. It was found that interest is especially important in the formation of adolescent learning motivation. In the presence of stable interest, the process of development of cognitive (cognitive) functions and vital skills is greatly facilitated. There are two tendencies: the motive of success and the motive of avoiding failure. Empirical study of the peculiarities of motivation to teach adolescents has shown that students with an average level of learning motivation have an average level of grades, their knowledge of school subjects is not deep enough. This indicates a spontaneous impact on the motivation of the adolescent and an insufficient level of purposeful work with motivation. There was a noticeable tendency to an increased level of motivation to learn in the studied adolescents, but a closer look at their motivational sphere revealed that the dominant motive is positional, ie learning success is seen as a means to obtain high status in the reference group. Prospects for further research are formulated, which consist in the development and testing of a correctional and developmental program for the formation of educational motivation of adolescent students; in the study of personal readiness of teachers to form such motivation and the readiness of practical psychologists of the education system to the appropriate psychological support of this process.

Abstract:
The article examines the current issues of motivation in sports training and identifies its main features. It is noted that the study of motivation in sports training is important both from the point of view of science and practice, because during sports much attention is paid to the personality of the athlete, his professionally important qualities and individual typological features. It is determined that motivation is a process in which a person motivates himself to action, as a result of which he will achieve the goal and fulfill the tasks. It is emphasized that motivation in sports training is associated with intrinsic motivation and achievement motivation. Intrinsic motivation is what motivates a person to act to increase their self-confidence and independence, rather than for an external goal. Achievement motivation is a type of activity motivation that is associated with a person's need to succeed and avoid failure The main features of motivation in sports training are substantiated, namely: motivation in sports training has the form of a three-level pyramid, the higher the level, the higher the athlete's motivation to train; the second feature is the athlete's personal motives that encourage him or her to train systematically; the third feature is achievement motivation, which is a relatively stable attribute of the individual. However, it is also a dynamic formation and begins to act (actualizes) in interaction with situational factors, such as the value and probability (chances) of achieving success in a particular field of activity. Achievement motivation, i.e., the desire to succeed in a particular type of activity, includes not only achievement motives (stable personality attributes), but also situational factors (value, probability of success, complexity of the task). Prospect for further research is to conduct an empirical study to determine the personal constructs of motivation in sports training.

Abstract:
The aim of this research is paid to the peculiarities of junior ballroom dancers’ motivation. The sample of the research consisted of 70 12-15-aged junior ballroom dancers – 40 girls and 30 boys. The sport motivation scale (SMS) was chosen in order to reveal this issue. The study revealed that the internal motivation of junior dancers was expressed more than the external motivation, but some statements that reflect the internal motivation were evaluated differently by the dancers. The dancers did not have a strong opinion – they doubted the statements of the external motivation subscales. The dancers mostly disagreed with the following statements: I dance because my friends and other people respect and appreciate me for it and I dance because I think it’s one of the best ways to make friends and communicate. The amotivation of the dancers was not strongly expressed. They did not doubt their success, why they were dancing and they had no thoughts that they will not achieve their intended purpose. The girls that dance ballroom dances have higher internal motivation – to find out and internal motivation – experience; meanwhile, the boys had stronger internal motivation – to strive for perfection. It was also revealed the external motivation – to get identified and coincide – was important for the junior dancers of the both groups.

Abstract:
The author has studied the peculiarities of academic motivation of final-year cadets (n=323) of higher education institutions with specific educational conditions. It has been determined that the dominant motivation for their professional training is internal motivation. They make independent decisions about their professional activities and seek to continue their service within the National Police.
Adequate and situational types of professional motivation are typical for cadets. Respondents are aiming for theoretical knowledge. The motives for the professional activities of final-year cadets do not affect their motivation to acquire theoretical knowledge, but they affect the acquisition of professional skills and abilities.
The “romantic halo” of the profession remains in the perception of the profession by final-year cadets, but the material component also becomes important.
The status of the profession in society and its material remuneration, as well as the curiosity of the chosen profession have significant influence on the motivation of future professional activities of fourth-year cadets. The motivating factor for internally motivated cadets is a sense of effectiveness, as well as status and state’s high salary for labor of law enforcement professionals. Externally positively motivated cadets in case of the decrease in the status of the profession, unrealized career ambitions or the reduction of the material rewards of law enforcement officers may begin to perform their duties formally or may leave the service. Externally negatively motivated cadets are not interested in performing professional duties.
On the basis of the obtained data, the author has concluded on the importance of mentoring in the process of professional development of young specialists and the continuation of professional training in the system of postgraduate education and service training of police officers. The author has emphasized the importance of further motivation of final-year cadets within professional activity, in particular the introduction of a “motivational” package for police officers by the state.

Abstract:
To ensure the effectiveness of activities, paying significant attention to personnel management is necessary. The issue of staff motivation is significant for higher education institutions. Staff motivation will determine the level of educational services provided and the place of the higher education institution in the higher education system. Given the decrease in the number of applicants caused by the mass deportation of children abroad in connection with the war, competition for the opportunity to study students is significantly increasing among higher education institutions. That is why it is crucial to assess the motivation of higher education institution staff and determine areas for increasing its efficiency. Theoretical and practical aspects of staff motivation are the subject of research by Ukrainian and international scientists. At the same time, the issue of studying the features of staff motivation in higher education institutions remains insufficiently studied. The study's purpose is to develop a mathematical model for determining the level of motivation of employees of higher education institutions. As a result of the research conducted based on an analysis of the characteristics of motivation of employees of higher education institutions, a mathematical model for determining the level of employee motivation based on considering the influence of material and non-material incentives has been proposed. The proposed model is a set of differential equations.

Abstract:
The article examines problems in the field of personnel management faced by domestic businesses during the war. It is defined that the most problematic fields are ensuring companies with personnel of the required quality and in sufficient quantity as well as retaining the employees avoiding the layoffs aspirations. These problems have arisen due to the evacuation of a part of the working population abroad, the mobilization of workers to the Armed Forces, the increase in the mortality rate of men of working age, etc. Analysis of external factors affecting the recruitment process has revealed many areas for improvement that will help companies to adapt to new realities. These include the use of modern tools and platforms for automating the recruitment process, the wide use of social networks to search for candidates for vacancies, etc. It is justified in the paper that the process of providing the company with personnel requires the use of fundamentally new approaches to its implementation. It has been proven that to retain and attract personnel, companies need to rethink their motivational programs, because certain motivational tools in wartime conditions have become obsolete and lost their relevance. It is recommended that along with traditional methods of material motivation, it is necessary to use those that will provide psychological support to the staff. Successful cases of modernization of the personnel motivation system of three large Ukrainian companies are presented. It was noted that in conditions of uncertainty, the personnel motivation system cannot remain stable, but should be built following the principles of change management. Therefore, it is recommended to constantly monitor the effectiveness of the current motivation system and, if necessary, to modernize it. To identify the level of motivation of the company's employees and analyze the influence of motivational factors on the efficiency of their work, it is recommended to use the "Motivation Efficiency Test" software.

Abstract:
The subject of this research is the syntagmatic motivational linkages in prefix verb derivation of the Russian language, observed in the aspect of synchronic dynamics. The author examines such aspects of the topic as syntagma (combination of two verbal-cogitative components connected by hierarchical relations of the principal and explanatory) and syntagmatic motivation (substantiated by syntactic models). Special attention is given to the fact that the motivated verb derivative structure can correlate with the motivating components in either syntagmatic sphere or paradigmatic sphere. The scientific novelty is associated with determination of peculiarities of syntagmatic motivation of derived verbs, role of the verbal prefixes in syntagmatic motivation, stages of “derivational history” and varieties of syntagmatic motivation of prefix verbs. The following conclusions were made: 1) full structural-semantic syntagmatic motivation – prefix verbs are motivated by syntactic microstructures, including non-prefix verb and prepositional-nominal constructs, in which preposition is materially and semantically analogous to prefix; 2) semi syntagmatic motivation – prefix verbs are motivated by syntactic microstructures, including non-prefix verb and adverb or combination of noun with preposition, consonant with prefix semantically, but not formally.

Abstract:
The purpose of the study is to determine the peculiarities of the time perspective of internally displaced persons and to identify areas of life in which their motivation to construct personal future is reflected.Methods. To achieve the goal of the study a comparative analysis of the time perspective and motivational for the future of internally displaced persons and local residents was carried out with the help of The method of motivational induction by J. Nuttin.Results. The pilot study was conducted on the main sample, which consisted of 22 internally displaced persons, and the control sample consisted of 15 people who permanently live in one place. The endings of the sentences proposed for internally displaced persons and local residents contained 1073 motivational objects, which were analyzed using J. Nuttin’s coding system, additional codes for indication the effects of war and forced resettlement, and a separate code for the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. According to the results of the temporal analysis of motivational objects, the future time perspective of internally displaced persons in comparison with local residents is more open and uncertain with a small amount of short-term motivations. Analysis of motivational objects’ content identified 11 key themes for future motivations, which can be correlated with areas of future life. The theme dedicated to the consequences of war and forced relocation is specific for internally displaced persons. There is a large number of motivations associated with the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic in local residents’ answers, when the answers of internally displaced persons present almost complete absence of them.Conclusions. The effectiveness of J. Nuttin’s method of motivational induction in studying the length and motivational content of future of internally displaced persons was confirmed. The comparison of the motivational objects of internally displaced persons and local residents allowed to characterize the time perspective of internally displaced persons as more open and uncertain. Also, the areas of life related with constructing of personal future were identified, such as: personality and self-development, social contacts, self-preservation and personal autonomy, material values, work and study, rest.Key words: psychological time, personal future, forced relocation, forced internal migration, construction of personal future, method of incomplete sentences. Abstract:
Motivation for educational activities of adolescent age students is priority and one of the most difficult tasks of modern school. Low motivation for learning activities is associated with a number of negative trends: a decrease in cognitive activity and a slowdown in mental development, the appearance of negative motivation for social behavior, and a decrease in learning indicators. At the same time, positive motivation is a factor of psycho-social development, individualization and successful professionalization. This publication presents the experience of studying the motivation of adolescent students in the framework of the regional project «Improving the quality of education in schools with low learning outcomes and in schools operating in unfavorable social conditions» in the Yaroslavl region, the operator of which was the Institute for Education Development. On a representative sample of students in 6-9 grades at schools with low learning outcomes and functioning in difficult social conditions (n=1861), it is shown that students have a multivariate motivation to learn. At the same time, teachers state the predominance of low motivation to learn, which suggests a low congruence of ideas about motivation among various participants in the educational process and the need to develop and test a set of measures of psychological and pedagogical support that allows you to compensate for the identified contradictions. There were no significant differences in the level of motivation of adolescents in urban and rural schools, as well as in schools with low learning outcomes and functioning in difficult social conditions. There were significant differences between girls and boys in the motivation for learning activities, which is higher in boys. The resulting gender differences should be taken into account when implementing motivation both in an individual form, and when developing programs for the development and maintenance of internal educational motivation of students by teachers and parents.

Abstract:
The article analyzes the specific features of motivation of sport activity as a certain type of labor activity and studies the peculiarities of psychological factors that influence the type of motivation, the level of its manifestation and the duration of its preservation. The basic features of the judoist athlete's personality motivation, in particular the motivation for success and fear of failure, communicative and organizational inclinations, locus of control, internalizing, directivity, indicators of terminal and instrumental values are considered. Experimental work allowed to reveal connection of various forms of behavior and personality parameters with externality-internality. Conformal and compliant behavior is more peculiar to judoists with an externalistic locus. Internals, in contrast to externals, are less likely to submit to pressure from others, to resist when they feel manipulated, and they react more strongly than externals to the loss of personal freedom. Athletes from internalizing loci of control perform better at the independent level than they do under supervision or videotaping. The opposite is true for externals. Internals and externals differ in the way they interpret various social situations, particularly in the way they receive information and in their causal explanation mechanisms. Internals are more active in seeking information and are usually more aware of the situation than externals. Internals attribute more responsibility to the individuals involved in the same situation. Internals are more likely to avoid situational explanations of behavior than externals. According to the results of the study, the motives that determine attitudes toward actual circumstances are of the greatest interest. Almost all athletes are dissatisfied with the level of material provision, solution of domestic issues. Among the measures to increase the level of sports motivation the majority names the proper use of means of material and moral encouragement, improving the organization of work, the possibility of discussion and independent decision-making on their use.

Abstract:
Actuality. The reasons for insufficient focusing on of people's health and their involvement in recreational and healthful activities are due to the lack of motivation of individuals in different population groups, from childhood to maturity. Improving the situation in question requires taking a number of measures that presuppose identifying and creating conditions for the realization of the motives for recreational and healthful activities, involving people in regular physical training during their lives. The goal of the research is to determine the peculiarities in the motivational priorities of different population groups for recreational and healthful activities. Research Results. The task of recreational and healthful activities is to make motor activity more meaningful, purposeful in accordance with the individual peculiarities of everyone involved. E. O. Fedorenko suggested the classification of motivational factors for schoolchildren, which can be clustered into 5 groups: informational, individual, educational, informational and communicative, structural and financial. O. E. Likhachev distinguishes three types of motives for recreational and healthful activities in woman’s class: motivation by an object as a type of motor activity; motivation by a situation and motivation through partnership. It should be noted that motivational factors for the elderly, according to A.B. Belorusov are rather specific, namely: internal-personal motives, interpersonal motives, motives that operate at the community level. Conclusions. Due to the investigation of the motivation for recreational and healthful activities of different population groups, the absence of a unified, integrated system for the development of motivational priorities throughout life, from childhood to maturity has been found out. Each age period has its own specific features depending on conditions and environment, on the level of health and support of family members and friends, on the opportunities to learn and develop individually, on the level of satisfaction and the perception of environment.

Abstract:
Teaching English to adults presents a unique and captivating challenge distinct from instructing children or teenagers. Adults bring diverse backgrounds, motivations, and learning styles to language acquisition, making it essential for educators to adapt their approaches. Motivation is a key factor in adult learning, with adults often choosing to learn English for specific reasons such as career advancement or travel. While many adults urgently need English for international communication, they may face challenges due to prior unsuccessful learning experiences. The concept of "andragogy" emphasizes the practical orientation of adult learning, independent work, and the student's leading role in achieving specific goals. Notable psychologists like Carl Rogers stress the importance of relevance, preserving identity, involving the whole person, and encouraging self-criticism in successful adult learning. Ukrainian psychologists and scientists, including O. Tarnopolsky, M. Kushnirov, O. Palii, and T. Besarab, have explored the peculiarities of teaching English to adults. They highlight variations in language proficiency, goals, and learning styles among adult learners, advocating for individualization of training to cater to diverse needs. The time constraints of adults necessitate flexible schedules and the option for online learning. Practical language usage in real situations is crucial for effective learning.

Abstract:
The article analyses theoretically motivation to study at a universities, as well as the features of such motivation at foreign students (of the first academic year) – future teachers studying at Ukrainian universities. Motivation, as it presented in modern researches on foreign students’ trained at Ukrainian universities, is analyzed. In our research light, such phenomena as academic motivation, socio-psychological adaptation, students’ adaptation to university training, adaptation to an academic group are analyzed. The article confirm that the peculiarities of academic motivation of first-year foreign students studying at Ukrainian universities influence their socio-psychological adaptation, and, accordingly, the quality of their professional knowledge, relevant competencies and transformation of future teachers’ personal characteristics. Motivation to acquire professional knowledge is a compensating factor of socio-psychological adaptation in the situations when necessary knowledge and skills are insufficient. Today, it is important to form foreign students’ stable positive motivation for professional training, as a factor for successful socio-psychological adaptation and chosen profession mastery. The empirical study was organized at the Institute of Slavic and Foreign Philology and the Physics and Mathematics Faculty, A.S. Makarenko State Pedagogical University in Sumy; the sample consisted of first-year foreign students; their motivational characteristics were studied. According to the obtained data, the main motive to university training at 19% of the examined foreign students was knowledge acquisition, 65% wanted master their professions and 19% of the respondents wanted obtain a diploma. Thus, most international students had chosen university training with motivation to master their profession, which evidenced conscious choice of learning area, compliance of their training with their professional interests and a vision of professional perspective. Motivation to obtain a university diploma evidenced a desire to achieve various goals, not directly related to further professional work in a chosen specialty. 77% of the study participants showed high scores as for adaptability to an educational (academic) group and 23% showed low ones. High scores meant a favorable psychological climate for students during their studies, created at the university, without difficulties in interacting with fellow student, foreign students’ willingness to interact, initiative, acceptance of group norms and values, compliance with group rules, mutual support. Low scores of adaptability to an educational (academic) group signaled complicated communications and interactions, inability to find help from other students and lecturers on issues of education, life, etc. 71% of the examined students showed high scores as for adaptability to educational activities, which indicated their high desire to master knowledge and successful knowledge acquisition, and 29% of the participants had low scores on this scale. The students had the following difficulties: language skills, terminological apparatus of academic disciplines were insufficient to understand instructions and to have successful interaction; lecturers or fellow students did not propose active cooperation; the students avoided initiative, responsibility, and so on. The examined students, as a rule, did not have formed motivation for professional training, had low communication skills, communicative barriers, etc. Permanent systematic consultations (according to pre-organized schedules), organization of individual independent work and analysis of its implementation introduced into university lectures’ work could be effective at work with such students. The motivation to study is a significant factor of successful socio-psychological adaptation; the specific of such motivation at students with low adaptability to learning activities was that their main motive was to obtain a diploma. However, the dynamics of foreign university students’ motivation to study depends on many factors at different stages, positive motivation is influenced by lecturers’ professionalism (from the point of view of foreign students, it means lecturers’ knowledge and the sense of justice); university lecturers’ attitude to students as competent people; lecturers’ assistance and cooperation with students for students’ self-determination, their awareness of close and ultimate education goals, professional orientation; development and support of a favorable psychological atmosphere during interactions; learning sequence and understandability of study material; introduction of innovative educational methods in order to stimulate educational and cognitive activities; organization of individual work; work of the preparatory department to organize the continuity of the study material for foreign students’ university training; creating and “reinforcing” a success situation during training. The main task for the lecturer staff of Ukrainian universities in their interactions with foreign students, in particular, first-year student, is to form the student’s sense of self-efficacy (belief in the effectiveness of their own actions, a sense of confidence), which is possible with constant practice in knowledge mastering. The effective innovative teaching methods are: didactic and role-playing games, special trainings, problem solving, individual research tasks, etc. Prospects for further research include developing effective methods and forms of educational process organization based on studies of lecturers’ experience at Ukrainian universities. Today, the problem of foreign students’ sustainable motivation to study at different educational stages at Ukrainian universities remains important, as motivation changes affect not only academic achievements but also learning continuation and university graduation; thus, scientific research on this phenomenon should be activated.

Abstract:
Motivation is an important aspect that determines human behaviour and various studies have been carried out to establish the determinants of human behaviour and its motivational aspects. Military profession offers a different set of working conditions where the magnitude of challenges is well above those found in commercial and other business organisations. The aspects of motivation are peculiar to the military profession and Military motivation is in a league of its own. Militaries across the world face physical and psychological challenges at work that most other people don't. Being armed with the right set of motivational techniques is critical for rising to the demands of such challenges and ensuring the best performance from the soldiers.
This study aims to review the different motivational theories and determine their relevance in the context of military motivation. Four of the primary motivation theories in practice today have been reviewed for this purpose. These motivational theories include Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs Theory, Herzberg’s Motivation-Maintenance Theory, McClelland’s Theory of Need Motivation and McGregor’s Theory X/ Theory Y. These theories show how employees can be motivated to achieve tasks set upon them in the workplace.
The relevance of these theories to Military motivation is analysed. Given the peculiarities of the working conditions of the military and the challenges faced therein, these motivational theories can be suitably adapted to modify the functional aspects of military and institute suitable changes in the leadership styles and working mechanisms to improve motivation and enhance task achievement. It has been found that all these motivational theories are still relevant in military environment and can be factored in effectively in the Armed forces.

Abstract:
This article reports on the findings of a study investigating the motivation of Bulgarian undergraduates of International Relations to learn English as a second language (L2). First, we consider language learning motivation in the context of three influential theoretical developments in research on motivation. Then, we report on a small-scale survey aiming to define the motivational profile of students of International Relations through the lens of the L2 Motivational Self System. The analysis of the survey data reveals similarities with findings of previous research as regards the favourable attitude towards English language learning, the prominent role of the ideal L2 self in the motivational pattern, and some doubt over the relation between the ought-to L2 self and the intended learning effort. The study results also indicate relations between travel orientation and the ought-to L2 self, and between the two types of instrumental motivation which have not been reported in previous research. These motivation peculiarities are explained through the specifics of the surveyed group that refer to students’ aspirations and potential careers in international relations.

Abstract:
<p style="text-align: justify;">The article presents the review of foreign publications on peculiarities of achievement motivation in young football players. Sport motivation is examined within the framework of the theory of self-determination. External and internal motivations and their typical for teenage players forms are highlighted. The review denotes that motivation varies depending on the age and skills of juniors, becoming less autonomous in early adolescence, and more autonomous as skills are acquired. The importance of the influence of social agents (parents, peers, coach) on the formation and increase of the level of internal motivation of football players is demonstrated. There is a connection between the motivational climate, encouraged by the coach and parents, and getting pleasure from training and competitions, the formation of perseverance and purposefulness, as well as efficiency in setting goals and completing tasks. The importance of age-related psychological and physiological characteristics of players is also emphasized, since the use of only external stimuli (punishment and encouragement) instead of the development of internal motivation can lead to negative consequences and unwillingness to engage in this sport in the future. The conclusion is made about the importance of a comprehensive study of motivationally significant influence on the part of coaches, parents and peers at different stages of age development of young football players.</p>

Abstract:
The article is devoted to the main types of motivational relations from the synchronous point of view in English word-formation rows with the suffix -ment. Verbal, verbal-nominal, nominal, adjectival, verbal-adjectival word-formation rows were built. Their structure is investigated with the help of the relator language of the applicative generative model, which results in profound analysis, and detailed study of the motivational relations in word-formation rows. The peculiarities of semantic motivation were thoroughly investigated which leads to the conclusion that the bigger amount of derived words are characterized not only by partial metaphorical motivation but also by complete motivation. Despite this fact, there are some words with morphological motivation. Two models applied for deriving new compound words were outlined. Another peculiarity of the derived words with the suffix -ment is the developed polysemy. The fact is that some derived words can obtain not only direct but also indirect meaning. A lot of words can be characterized by multiple motivation which proves the idea of polymotivation of English words with the suffix -ment. Different classifications of motivation types are highlighted in the article such as complete and incomplete, unique and multiple, incoming and outgoing motivation. The theoretical framework of the motivology, i. e., «motivation», «derivation», «synchronous lexical motivation», «multiple motivation», «peripheral motivation» is highlighted in the paper. The connection between the motivation and antonymy is explained. In conclusion, the derived English words with the suffix -ment are characterized by synchronous lexical motivation that can be expressed in the form of the motivational square. Keywords: a word-formation row, synchronous lexical motivation, a motivational square, multiple motivation, polysemy.

Abstract:
The article examines the topic of the influence of motivation on students in the field of physical education and sports. The basis of any activity is motivation, because a person's interest, activity, purposefulness, focus on satisfying one's needs, and determination of life orientation depend on it. Motivation usually means the process of inducing activity to achieve a set goal. In connection with the fact that the goal of higher professional education is the training of highly qualified specialists, competitive on the labor market, working in their specialty, the requirements for high quality education, both for the system as a whole and for the level of teaching activity, in particular, are increasing. The obtained data reveal the structure of students' motivation and indicate the need to intervene in the process of its formation. Physical education is a special process that concerns the biological, social, and psychological activity of an individual. The traditional way of mastering the values of physical culture with the priority of physical training, aimed at the implementation of unified program credit standards, is only the basis for the formation of the entire system of values of physical culture, which are far from being exhausted only by the physical conditions of a young person and represent unity in the development of the spiritual and physical spheres. Motivation for physical activity is a special state of personality aimed at achieving an optimal level of physical fitness and work capacity. The process of forming interest in physical education and sports is a multi-stage process: from the first elementary hygienic knowledge and skills to deep psychophysiological knowledge of the theory and methods of physical education and intensive sports. The success of students in physical education in higher education depends on the effectiveness of organized classes starting from the 1st year. With this in mind, it can be argued that motivation for students is the most effective way to improve the learning process. Motives are the driving forces of the learning process in mastering the material. Key words: motivation, motivational factors, educational activity, physical culture, sport.

Abstract:
Being characterized by high numbers of physical and mental health issues, the veterinary sector faces some negative peculiarities compared to other professions. To evaluate and possibly improve employees’ well-being and to reward according to individual motivation, managing staff and the profession in general must understand every individual’s motivation. Defining the motivation of veterinary professionals in a multidisciplinary way can be the first step in increasing the well-being of employees. To assemble current theories of work motivation and adapt and extend them to serve the veterinary profession, basic knowledge of the classical general psychological motivational theories and work motivational theories is inevitable. The authors aimed to illustrate the different motivational theories’ key aspects and historical evolution to provide veterinary personnel with broad knowledge. In addition, the availability of already existing literature should be evaluated. A scoping review was performed. Methodological, empirical, review, and theoretical articles were evaluated. Only a minority of the studies (1.3%) evaluated motivational theories in veterinary health care. This reflects that there is a need for research in this field. Still, it is illustrated that the veterinarian profession would benefit from the implementation of general psychological as well as motivational work theories.
