Abstract:
“The Tempest” is one of Shakespeare’s great late-period plays focusing on isolation. This article examines a viewing during Covid-19 lockdown of “The Tempest” as a reflection on the stressors and difficulties of medical professionals facing Covid-19, both at work and in society. It discusses the difficulties of adapting to the new normal, the physical and psychological isolation of tending to patients with Covid-19, stigma associated with Covid-19, and the effects of burnout on healthcare professionals, through reflections on various pertinent segments of the play. The reflection also focuses

The article is devoted to the technical channels of Transient Electromagnetic Pulse Emanation (TEMPEST) information leakage. Methods of detection and measurement of TEMPEST, as well as broadband signals in general cases are briefly presented. The features of detection and measurement of broadband TEMPEST signals of modern digital interfaces (for example, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort) are considered. These digital interfaces are selected as the most relevant at the moment, against analog ones that are coming out of mass use (VGA).
As the greatest playwright and poet in the English Renaissance, William Shakespeare, a pious Christian for a life-long time, laid in the rich symbolical Christian tone and religious implications his devout and personalized beliefs in Christianity bestowed upon his humanism ideal. In his play The Tempest, Shakespeare contains much deep meaning by using tempest as his title. The storm or tempest imagery, which appears in the beginning of the play, is entrenched within the ideological heritage of the Bible. In the Bible, the storm is associated with dichotomous extre

Against the background of the creationist world picture and biblical beliefs about language - shared by Shakespeare and his audience this thesis elicits the idea of language which Shakespeare deliberately presents in The Tempest. The theme of language is attached to Shakespeare's search for a definition of man in this 'mankind* play. A triple language experiment is plotted, given that the concept of language in the Renaissance includes non-verbal communication and that language was believed to mirror the speaker's mind. The first experiment isolates the unique human ingredient, defined by its

An ecomusicological analysis was conducted on these two works, taking theatrical, literary, and musical aspects into consideration. The susceptibility of this temper to SCC is alleviated through the use of the T73, or overaged temper that provides SCC resistance, but at a 10-15% strength loss compared to the T6 temper. Experimental test results by Cina and Ranish indicated that retrogress and re-aging (RRA) heat treatments with retrogression performed at 200-280°C for less than 10 minutes reduce the traditional trade-off between T6 strength and T73 SCC re
