Abstract:
The importance of local media is indisputable for media theorists and media practitioners, despite the widespread globalization. Although electronic media has the largest audience, while online media is constantly expanding, the traditional print media is still surviving and they influence the political and social life of local communities. “Narodne novine” [English: The People’s Newspaper] are a daily news and political newspaper with the longest publication time in south-eastern Serbia. By using the quantitative and qualitative content analysis, as well as the comparative and synthetic research method, the authors investigate how this newspaper has transformed in relation to genre, and in thematic and visual terms during the two socially and historically different periods - in the socialist and transitional period. The research corpus consists of 63 articles from two editions of “Narodne novine” – the newspapers published on May 1st 1949 (28 articles) and 70 years later, on May 1st 2019 (35 articles).

The subject matter of the article is thematic interpretation of species images. The goal of the work is to develop a model for thematic interpretation of species images, which will be based on the model for the formation of species images and additionally take into account geographic zoning. The following task was solved in the article: development of a model of thematic interpretation of view images, which takes into account the shortcomings of existing models and is based on the model of formation of view images, carries out the reverse transformation of the image coordinates into geospatial coordinates and clustering the image into separate classes according to their color and texture, additionally taking into account geographic zoning, which provides the possibility of advanced analysis and forecasting the temporal dynamics of data in geospatial information processing systems. The following methods used are – mathematical apparatus of the theory of matrices, methods of mathematical modelling, methods of data clustering, methods of differential calculus, methods of digital image processing. The following results were obtained – groups of existing models for interpreting the results of remote sensing of the Earth, their advantages and disadvantages have been analyzed; a mathematical model of the formation of a species image for a section of the earth's surface has been formulated in general form; a mathematical model of thematic interpretation of species images was formulated in general form; the operator of transformation of coordinates, operators of clustering, operators of zoning and their explicit form are considered; a model of thematic interpretation of species images in operator form is obtained. Conclusions: for the first time, a model of thematic interpretation of view images was developed, which, based on the model of formation of view images, carries out the inverse transformation of coordinates into geospatial coordinates and clustering by their color and texture, additionally taking into account geographical zoning, which provides the possibility of advanced analysis and forecasting of the temporal dynamics of data in processing systems geospatial information.

Abstract:
The present study describes some of the meanings death holds for contemporary individuals. Twenty-six well-educated participants were given the Knapp metaphor inventory and asked to discuss the metaphors they chose as most closely reflecting their views of death. The results of a hermeneutic analysis of these discussions yielded three independent themes: death viewed negatively as a barrier to life's meanings, death viewed ambivalently as an essentially negative condition made acceptable by a variety of mitigating factors, and death viewed positively as a reinstatement or transformation of life's meanings. A correlational analysis comparing results produced by Knapp's original participants with those of the present group revealed significant stability in metaphoric choices over a thirty-year period. A further analysis evaluating the influence of religiosity on the meanings of death revealed that participants from church groups viewed death significantly more frequently as a transformation of life's meanings than did non-church participants who viewed it significantly more frequently as a barrier to life's meanings.

Abstract:
Abstract The article deals with the transformation of an experimental ontology, classifying selected declarative knowledge for the domain of thematic cartography, into classes and interfaces of the Java language. The reason for this transformation is to transfer the declarative knowledge from the field of thematic cartography into the form of a program code in the Java programming language. The resulting program code containing declarations of interfaces and classes will be further used for creating a software application for an intelligent system for the interactive support of thematic map creation. The upcoming pilot project of this knowledge system is designed for the users without necessary cartographic knowledge, which will allow them to create interactively thematic maps and provide them with the support. The purpose of the use of such a tool is to prevent the users from deviating from established cartographic rules and avoid the occurrence of gross errors in resulting maps. A properly compiled knowledge ontology facilitates the design of the prepared intelligent cartographic application, as the use of cartographic knowledge is enabled based on the automated transformation into the program code in the Java language. The generated program code contains declarations of basic concepts of thematic cartography, their structuring into classes corresponding to the source structures described in the ontology. The code also contains descriptions vertical and horizontal relations between the declared classes and also the interface for access to these classes and relations. The automated transformation of ontology into the Java code is not completely lossless. The examples of a transformation of individual components of ontology (classes, individuals, and object and datatype properties) into interfaces and classes in Java show the differences occurred during the transfer of the declarative knowledge into the program code. From these examples it is clear that the elements of ontology component description are or are not transformed into the Java code in full. The article proposes recommendations how to optimize the knowledge description on the part of ontology in order to minimize possible losses of the transformation of knowledge into the Java code

Abstract:
The paper researches the landscape transformation of the surface mines of the Đurđevik coal basin (northeastern Bosnia region), where 35.24 Mt of brown coal were produced in the past 74 years, and 227.40 Mm3 of overburden was excavated and disposed of. This type of coal exploitation caused the formation concave and convex of anthropogenic relief forms which ultimately led to significant landscape transformation. These transformations were identified and geovisualized on the basis of field research and comparative GIS analysis of archival maps, satellite images, Digital Elevation Models and plans of this area. As a result of the research, especially comparative GIS analysis of two prepared terrain models of surface mines, the transformation of hypsometry, slope and aspect, hydrographic network, pedological as well as vegetation cover were determined. Obtained geospatial data are geo-visualized in QGIS, and as a result, thematic maps were created to provide insight into the essence of transformations. Therefore, established indicators of landscape transformation can serve as a significant factor in planning the revitalization and land re-cultivation of devastated areas in the Đurđevik coal basin.

The lens of transformative learning provided a deeper understanding of students’ experiences and the process of learning within an interdisciplinary creativity course for first-year college students. Through the thematic analysis of 930 reflective narratives written by 93 students, the research identified how the overall course activities expanded and reframed their insights on creativity. Three frames of creative minds are presented to show the potential for transformations using students’ voices about impactful experiences: creative dynamics, transformation as a heightened awareness of the value of creativity to society and self; creative mindsets, transformation as a deeper understanding of diverse aspects of creativity; and creative confidence, transformation as a transfer in perspectives to real-world applications. In addition, the findings from this study proposed a framework to build creative confidence via educational strategies for creative learning.

Abstract:
Abstract Arabic poetry and English rap are strikingly different products owing to the divergent language pairs and genre pairs. This study examines the nature and degree of change in translating the content of Arabic poetry into English rap. It studies three main content-based elements in the original Arabic poem and attempts to identify any changes in the target rap song in light of the conventional rap themes. The authors gathered study evidence from the translation of Nizar Qabbani’s famous poem “Qariat il-Finjan” into the rap song “Finjan” by the Syrian-American translator and rapper Omar Offendum. The data provides ample evidence that rendering Arabic poems into English rap songs can be achieved with a high level of success, yet with a considerable degree of adaptation to fit the target genre’s thematic conventions. The study points to how the considerable thematic adaptations fit into identity politics, youth culture and liberation theology which are distinctive features of the rap impulse.

Abstract:
Abstract The ubiquitous Internet platform in Africa has given rise to a new set of non-state actors responding to protracted conflicts through the use of new media technology. As a departure from a state-centric approach to addressing conflict in Africa, this interdisciplinary study explores the contribution of the public in responding to armed conflicts through citizen journalism. To unearth non-violent African digital innovations, this research explored the Ushahidi platform, which emerged as a response to Kenya’s 2008 post-election violence. Using a qualitative method, data was gathered through unstructured in-depth interviews. The data was analysed using thematic analysis. The data showed the transformative role the Ushahidi platform played during Kenya’s electoral violence through crisis-mapping, the early warning multi-agent consortium, a constitutional referendum, and election monitoring. Evidence also emerged regarding the pioneer work of Ushahidi in other non-violent technological involvements in addressing crisis in Kenya.

Abstract:
This article presents the history and contemporary state of Polish media on the theme of video games. Media about video games emerged on the Polish market after the country’s political transformation of 1989 and quickly became very popular. The ever increasing multitude of players led to demand for information and reviews on games. During 1990’s there were many more or less significant magazines about video games in Poland. Almost all of them perished. Currently, there are only three of them on the Polish market. TV programmes about video games appeared during the 90s which effectively showcased them in action. The media landscape has changed as the internet has become widely available and largely overtaken the information and entertainment function of the press and television in regards to video games. Today thematic websites about games are still important but youtubers and Twitch streamers are taking advantage. Their broadcast is especially important for younger generation of gamers. Presenting video games in action and live commentary is a very popular way of communication. Many online content creators have built great audience and income doing so.

Abstract:
The article is devoted to occasional transformations of phraseological units in the modern Russian language. The relevance of the study is based on the attention of scientists to the problems of variability of language units in speech. The novelty of the study is based on insufficient knowledge about transformation capacity of idioms from various thematic, phraseological and semantic groups and fields. One of the groups unites idioms with the colour-component featuring semantic peculiarities, which determine specific transforming processes. The article studies transformations of phraseological units with the component white by means of substituting the component white by occasional components. Analyzing phraseological semantics, the author regards specific features of the colour-adjective both as a phraseological component and a free lexical unit. It is important to mention that color-words may function as a symbol. The article deals with idioms where a colour-component either represents meaningful semantic elements or conveys a symbolic meaning, or it is excluded from phraseological semantics. To define transformation peculiarities of idioms, the author analyzes component substitutions based on paradigmatic connections among colour-words and on their asystemic connections. The results of the research demonstrate dependence of transformation capacity on the degree acolour-component is involved in forming a phraseological meaning: the less a component participates in forming a phraseological meaning, the more possibilities for transformations are presented in speech and, thus, the higher transformation capacity is.

This study investigates how and why the personal transformation occurred in former convicts in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews and review of documents including social media as data collection instruments. Two former convicts serve as the research subjects, while five people among ex convicts’ family and friends serve as the research informants. To provide the study credibility, triangulation of data and resources was conducted, namely by examining data obtained from social media like YouTube that displays personal experiences some ex criminals who have transformed. Data were analyzed by using thematic analysis technique. The results showed that the process of personal transformation occurred throughout a long stage and did not occur shortly. It was also found that the personal factor (e.g. the understanding of personal experiences and social factors, especially intensive and prolonged interaction with religious leaders) was the main drive for personal change. The theoretical implications of these results were also discussed. KEY WORDS: Personal, transformation, experiences, contact

Abstract The author reviews the basic facts necessary to understand the specific process of Montenegro’s capitalist transformation in the past thirty years or so, a process particularly influenced by certain characteristics of the political system. The survival in power of one political party throughout the period of systemic changes, as well as the more than twenty-year personal rule of Milo Đukanović which continued despite the introduction of liberal-pluralist principles, are primarily explained by the control of the state apparatus by the ruling elite. Alongside that was a low level of economic development. In addition, ambivalent attitudes of the populace to Montenegro’s independence from Serbia and the interethnic relations of Serbs and Montenegrins have played their own role. In the second part, the text displays the leitmotif underlying the contributions to the thematic section on Montenegro in this issue.

Abstract:
Brahms's Third String Quartet, op. 67 in Bb Major, represents one of his greatest efforts in cyclical form, but has been neglected in the analytical and critical literature, which has focused on the Third Symphony, the Schicksalslied, and the German Requiem. Brahms's cyclic techniques fall between the procedures of Beethoven, who aims for thematic unity or coherence across a work, and French composers at the end of the 19th century, who use extensive, intricate thematic transformation to bind a piece. Brahms designs the finale of his Bb Quartet, a theme and variations, to evolve toward the reappearance of the main thematic material of the first movement. In the coda of the finale, the themes of the two outer movements are superimposed in ways that reveal their latent kinship.

It is characterized by an increased interest in social problems, especially in connection with geographical analysis of post-totalitarian transformation. This observation is introduced by a short survey of changes of human geography paradigms worldwide after World War II. The second one includes key theoretical questions of the discipline which have not been solved yet. Possibilities of their explanation are discussed on the example of three problems: subject specification of human geography, existence and character of human geographic regularities and possibilities and limits of their explanation.

This research explored the experiences of healing and transformation within Reiki practitioners. Reiki practitioners are attuned to a traditional and ancient hands-on healing technique which involves the practitioner channelling life-force energy through their hands to heal themselves or others. The methodology of intuitive inquiry was used, and the interview transcripts of eight participants were analysed using Thematic Content Analysis. Eight themes were formed and included: Opening the Door, Shifting Beliefs, Lifestyle Changes, Healing Crisis, Moving Past Doubts, Spiritual Connection and Self-Empowerment. The results were presented through a compound narrative of the participants’ experiences. The findings showed that Reiki practitioners experienced transformation on mental, emotional, physical and spiritual levels. Many of the participants experienced struggles that they learned to interpret as meaningful. They also shifted their beliefs and made lifestyle changes which led to greater self-empowerment.

On first inspection, the declaration is breathtaking in its scope and ambition. Constituted by a list of 17 goals and 169 targets, it is arguably the most comprehensive global agenda adopted since the UN Charter in 1945. Its thematic repertoire ranges from poverty, health, education, and inequality, to energy, infrastructure, climate change, marine resources, peace, security, and good governance. Abstract:
Retaining its unifying function in creating academic texts, academic writing is undergoing various changes brought about by digitisation. The key trends are related to three aspects of academic writing: formal bibliometrics, principles of collaboration, and interaction with the readers. The first trend concerns the growing importance of identifiers, citation standards, key words and other metadata that underlie the creation of data bases allowing universities and scientific centres to take administrative and organizational decisions. Secondly, information technologies for collaborative writing stimulate the shift from individual authorship to the collective one and from thematic collaboration to the functional distribution of authorship. Finally, academic writing has adopted marketing strategies and instruments in communicating scientific knowledge to the audience. Digitisation has caused the emergence of postproduction in academic writing, i.e. applying Internet resources to enhance the reach of one’s academic papers. These trends require a revision of the approach to teaching academic writing and a more profound study of the new phenomena conditioned by the digital era.

Abstract:
AbstractThe aim of the present study is to clarify the lay experience of grace through person-level narratives. This empirical qualitative study follows a bottom-up approach, not restricted by specific theoretical assumptions, and includes a large and heterogeneous group of Belgian participants. The sample (recruited online) was composed of 456 participants (64% women, mean age = 50.04, age range from 18 to 93 years). Data consisted of 456 written narratives describing the experience of grace. They were analysed using a thematic analysis and thematic network approach with the help of a qualitative data management package Nvivo 12 pro. The resulting thematic network visualizes the experience of grace in the flow of time with (a) antecedents, grace can happen anywhere and anytime, but difficulties often precede grace; (b) the core experience is one of receiving an unmerited free gift in response to failure or brokenness or as an encounter with goodness and beauty, and this can be given by the divine or by other people and lastly (c) consequences entails a transformation at the intrapersonal, interpersonal and/or situational level. Our approach allows for an ecological and bottom-up understanding of grace as experienced nowadays in a secularized country and can empirically inform future studies about the connection between grace and psychological flourishing.

Abstract:
Purpose Integration of health services involves multiple interdependent leaders acting at several levels of their organisation and across organisations. This paper aims to explore the complexities of leadership in an integrated care project and aims to understand what leadership arrangements are needed to enable service transformation. Design/methodology/approach This case study analysed system and organisational leadership in a project aiming to integrate primary and specialist care. To explore the former, the national policy documents and guidelines were reviewed. To explore the latter, the official documents from the transformation team meetings and interview data from 17 health-care professionals and commissioners were analysed using thematic analysis with the coding framework derived from the comprehensive and multilevel framework for change (Ferlie and Shortell, 2001). Findings Although integration was supported in the narratives of the system and organisational leaders, there were multiple challenges: insufficient support by the system level leadership for the local leadership, insufficient organisational support for (clinical) leadership within the transformation team and insufficient leadership within the transformation team because of disruptions caused by personnel changes, roles ambiguity, conflicting priorities and insufficient resources. Practical implications This study provides insights into the interdependencies of leadership across multiple levels and proposes steps to maximise the success of complex transformational projects. Originality/value This study’s practical findings are useful for those involved in the bottom-up integrated projects, especially the transformation teams’ members. The case study highlights the need for a toolkit enabling local leaders to operate effectively within the system and organisational leadership contexts.

Purpose This paper aims to understand the conceptualisation of the notion of transformational government that is emerging within the electronic government domain. It reviewed how transformational government is manifest in the policy and strategic commitments of government departments in South Africa. The study focused on understanding the role of public sector planning towards the attainment of transformational government. Design/methodology/approach The study is interpretive and qualitative in nature. It provides the outcomes of a deductive thematic analysis conducted on strategic documents of government departments to explore their alignment and support for transformational government. Findings The paper argues for the need for public sector planning that is focused on citizen benefit realisation. The results highlight the significance of strategic plans for developmental transformation. However, the planning instruments were found to have an inconsistent orientation towards transformational government. Originality/value The study is significant in light of the implications of public policy and the associated strategic plans for citizens. This paper also contributes to research on the nascent area of transformational government.

Abstract:
The 2030 Agenda of the United Nations comprises 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and 169 sub-targets which serve as a global reference point for the transition to sustainability. The agenda acknowledges that different issues such as poverty, hunger, health, education, gender equality, environmental degradation, among others, are intertwined and can therefore only be addressed together. Implementing the SDGs as an ‘indivisible whole’ represents the actual litmus test for the success of the 2030 Agenda. The main challenge is accomplishing a more integrated approach to sustainable development that encompasses new governance frameworks for enabling and managing systemic transformations. This thematic issue addresses the question whether and how the SDGs set off processes of societal transformation, for which cooperation between state and non-state actors at all political levels (global, regional, national, sub-national), in different societal spheres (politics, society, and economy), and across various sectors (energy, transportation, food, etc.) are indispensable. In this editorial, we first introduce the 2030 Agenda and the SDGs by providing an overview of the architecture of the agenda and the key challenges of the current implementation phase. In a second step, we present the eleven contributions that make up the thematic issue clustering them around three themes: integration, governance challenges, and implementation.

Abstract:
Finding and selecting interesting and relevant information in large online digital text archives can be challenging. We tackle this information access problem from a geographic information science perspective using a case study exploring a semi-structured historical encyclopedia. We propose a three-pronged approach for this, based around (1) automatic retrieval of spatio-temporal and thematic information from digital text documents; (2) transformation of the extracted information to spatialize and visualize spatio-temporal and thematic structures; and (3) integration of the spatialized displays in an interactive web interface driven by a user-centered design and evaluation approach. We implemented an interactive spatialized network display to allow identification of spatio-temporal relationships hidden in the text archive, complemented by an interactive self-organizing map display to visualize thematic relationships in these text documents. We evaluated the utility and usability of the developed interface in a user study with digital humanities scholars. Empirical results show that the developed interface supports target users in the humanities uncovering latent spatio-temporal and thematic relationships and generated new insights through the spatialized text collection. Adopting this approach, we illustrate one avenue to addressing the information access problem in the digital humanities from a GIScience perspective.

Abstract Introducing a thematic section, this article presents an overview and some of the theoretical considerations resulting from COST Action IS1301, an international research network devoted to the study of lay religious culture during the long fifteenth century. A particular aim of this network was to discuss new European narratives framing the important transformations of lay religious culture during the period c. 1350–1550—a complex historical process that is still often obscured by the competing older narratives of Reformation, humanism, and Renaissance which shape the historiographical heritage. To get beyond the “methodological nationalism” and “methodological modernism” inherent in older paradigms, the article suggests viewing the transformation of lay religious culture as a long-term process of cultural evolution. It closes with an overview of the most important aspects of this evolutionary process during the long fifteenth century.

Abstract:
Purpose The Recovery College model is an innovative approach to providing education to consumers, carers and mental health staff, with the potential to facilitate both personal recovery gains and organisational transformation towards recovery-focused service provision. The purpose of this paper is to explore the experiences of students who attended the South Eastern Sydney Recovery College (SESRC). Design/methodology/approach An exploratory, descriptive qualitative design was employed with data collected through seven focus group interviews with consumers and mental health staff who had participated in courses run by the SESRC. Thematic analysis of the data was conducted using both deductive and inductive processes in order to interpret the data. Findings All participants were positive about their involvement in the RC. Four themes emerged from the thematic analysis: connection with others, hope for the future, the importance of the lived experience, and changing attitudes and systems. Originality/value The outcomes of this study indicate that the SESRC is achieving its aims in relation to both personal recovery gains, and the potential to impact on service transformation. It highlights the centrality of co-production as a fundamental aspect of the Recovery College model. This paper contributes to the emerging evidence base for this model and provides evidence that this model is applicable to the Australian context.

Abstract:
Since M.A.K. Halliday published his influential essay (1971) on the thematic function of transitivity patterns in William Golding’s The Inheritors more than 30 years ago, there have appeared numerous stylistic investigations into transitivity in literary narratives. The investigations, however, are mostly concerned with power relations between conflicting parties and for those that probe into a character’s inner life, what is revealed is usually a certain mental state or ‘mind style’ of the character. A transitivity analysis of Sheila Watson’s The Double Hook(1989) demonstrates that the model of transitivity can function as a useful tool in revealing the process of a character’s mental transformation, and, further, that a transitivity analysis may shed fresh light on the interpretation of the text. The present study focuses on the process of mental transformation of the novella’s protagonist James on his return journey, a process subtly brought out by the change in transitivity patterns, and a process that has been neglected by previous critics who have concentrated on the physical aspect of James’s return. It is argued that James’s mental transformation as realized by the change in transitivity patterns is of great importance to the novella’s theme of forming a spiritual community.

Abstract:
Human resource was the fundamental capitals and the source of transformation and innovation in organizations. One of the most crucial ways for attracting and retaining human resource was to create a productive process and supply chain. The human resource supply chain was an integrated approach to planning, locating and controlling human resource in different businesses, from human resource’s suppliers to replacing them in relevant jobs. According to the lack of supply chain of human resource in organizations, the importance of this issue was clear to everybody. After considering the sources extracted from databases, 136 sources were obtained as samples. In this research, the design of the supply chain human resource model was done by the qualitative research method of thematic analysis, and by studying the theoretical foundations and thematic literature. The process of thematic analysis was done manually and using MAXQDA software. The results of this research show that the human resource supply chains could be summed up in six main themes of organizational needs assessment, human resource planning, recruitment and selection, human resource improvement, performance evaluation, and human resource management. By integrating these themes with the components of the supply chain, the supply chain of human resources derived from theoretical literature can be achieve. Based on the theoretical foundations of the supply chain and human resources management, the following model was present. For the amount of credibility of the human resources supply chain pattern, a model derived from theoretical literature among seven experts in the field of human resources was presented and using the Delphi technique to present the final pattern of the chain Provision of human resources.

Abstract:
Purpose The purpose of this paper is to comprehensively review the vast literature on sustainable supply chain management (SSCM), with the specific objective of a thematic exploration of the literature in order to explicate the principal facets of SSCM development. Design/methodology/approach This comprehensive review follows the systematic literature review approach. Findings The authors find SSCM to develop around five principal facets. The first facet is adoption, which accounts for the development of preparatory grounds – for facilitating the generation of a SSCM philosophy to gradually seep into the frame of traditional supply chain management (SCM). The second facet of implementation accounts for the manifestation of a SSCM-oriented transformation for producing gradual upgrades in the traditional SCM environment. The third facet of extension signifies the broadening of the scope of implementation at a more wider (supply chain) level. The fourth facet of maintenance outlines the need for ensuring the continuity of progress in the course of SSCM development. The fifth facet of outcomes focuses on the yields of SSCM’s pursuit. Originality/value These principal facets are built across the multiple levels and unique conceptual standpoints as propagated by 13 themes and 34 sub-themes. These themes are generated based upon 419 articles (2000-2017) from more than 40 leading journals. The authors discuss the facet-specific key implications for guiding the literature in its further advancement, and thus propose a rigorous thematic landscape of the SSCM literature with a unique approach. Overall, the outcomes of this review provide a fundamental organization of the SSCM literature – from the perspective of a journey involved in the transition from traditional to sustainable supply chains.

Abstract:
There are a significant number of image processing methods that have been developed during the past decades for detecting anomalous areas, such as hydrothermal alteration zones, using satellite images. Among these methods, dimensionality reduction or transformation techniques are known to be a robust type of methods, which are helpful, as they reduce the extent of a study area at the initial stage of mineral exploration. Principal component analysis (PCA), independent component analysis (ICA), and minimum noise fraction (MNF) are the dimensionality reduction techniques known as multivariate statistical methods that convert a set of observed and correlated input variables into uncorrelated or independent components. In this study, these techniques were comprehensively compared and integrated, to show how they could be jointly applied in remote sensing data analysis for mapping hydrothermal alteration zones associated with epithermal Cu–Au deposits in the Toroud-Chahshirin range, Central Iran. These techniques were applied on specific subsets of the advanced spaceborne thermal emission and reflection radiometer (ASTER) spectral bands for mapping gossans and hydrothermal alteration zones, such as argillic, propylitic, and phyllic zones. The fuzzy logic model was used for integrating the most rational thematic layers derived from the transformation techniques, which led to an efficient remote sensing evidential layer for mineral prospectivity mapping. The results showed that ICA was a more robust technique for generating hydrothermal alteration thematic layers, compared to the other dimensionality reduction techniques. The capabilities of this technique in separating source signals from noise led to improved enhancement of geological features, such as specific alteration zones. In this investigation, several previously unmapped prospective zones were detected using the integrated hydrothermal alteration map and most of the known hydrothermal mineral occurrences showed a high prospectivity value. Fieldwork and laboratory analysis were conducted to validate the results and to verify new prospective zones in the study area, which indicated a good consistency with the remote sensing output. This study demonstrated that the integration of remote sensing-based alteration thematic layers derived from the transformation techniques is a reliable and low-cost approach for mineral prospectivity mapping in metallogenic provinces, at the reconnaissance stage of mineral exploration.

Abstract:
With the advent of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, businesses are adapting to the use of digitalisation which requires the digital transformation of their existing business models. However, there is limited empirical research on this phenomenon. The purpose of this study is twofold: (i) to develop a framework for businesses to digitally transform their business models and (ii) to examine literature in order to identify and analyse the constructs underlying the three concepts of Digitalisation, Digital Transformation and Business Model Innovation. The study is qualitative in nature and is based on a narrative review. Relevant articles were identified by using international bibliographic databases and scrutinised using thematic analysis. The findings reveal that the first two constructs require digital capabilities and a digital strategy. The third construct requires digital transformation in the realm of customer-centricity, resources, processes and profit. A set of propositions was formulated and the commonalities were mapped. Based upon this map, a conceptual framework was developed. The findings will assist in the development of future instruments that can guide businesses to digitally transform existing business model elements. This study aims to fill the gap on how business model innovation should be pursued through digital transformation by developing a conceptual framework.
