Full textIntegration appears among the core concepts of organizational theories, which have supported the progresses of social sciences. Faced to difficulties in collective actions, researchers and managers have been thoroughly studying the levers for action, in search of the key conditions for unity, cooperation and agreement. Their aggregated findings have unveiled the multiplicity, the complexity and the various foundations of integration: formal organizations and devices, culture, systems of action or cognitive dynamics. Yet, the managerial uses sometimes restrict the phenomenon to control and hierarchy and wrongfully attribute properties such as homogeneity, discipline and relational harmony to organizational integration. The uncommon functioning of the retail banking of Crédit Agricole fixes these distortions. Diverse, democratic and non-centralized, this organization unrolls various sturdy integration processes through sophisticated assemblies of the social components pointed out by scientists. This case study emphasizes the fundamental functions of integration, which consists in making compatible heterogeneous logics of action and conciliating diversity, in order to facilitate the collective functioning. It calls attention on the sometimes surprising forms of integration and highlights the many benefits of diversity. Finally, this research combines the compatible integration and action theories and proposes a set of pluralistic tools - definition, methods, analytical framework - that enhances the ability to fully understand the richness of this social phenomenon

Full textThis is a study on the gesture of care, i.e. the fact of caring for other people and providing them with the help required. It focuses on a particular case : humanitarian action, the action conducted by organisations that intervene in emergency situations generated by conflicts or disasters. This sector of practices nourrishes and contextualises this philosophical reflection. The impulse of this work resides in the observation of a set of pitfalls of caring practices. These issues are generally perceived as abuses of power: it is either the care-reciever that is being abused (imposition of a particular form of care, lack of respect, etc.) or the care-provider (lack of recognition, manipulation, empathic distress, etc.). According to the dominant understanding, these pitfalls would find their origin in the asymetry of the caring relations. It would then be necessary to reduce, or even, to remove this asymetry. However, what would care be in the absence of this asymetry? What could the carer do if he/she was as vulnerable as the one being cared for? This thesis critiques a dominant conception of care that leads to a weakening of the carer. Not only does this understanding makes it impossible to properly respond to suffering, but it also leads to legitimising distress and vulnerability, and even, celebrating these states. Hence, this work seeks to denounce this empire of suffering and reveals its deeper roots. Furthermore, this thesis is not only a critique; it also makes a proposition, that of coming back to power of acting at the heart of the gesture of care. It shows that the source of this power resides in desire, a desire understood in a fundamental and intrinsic sense. It eventually proposes to place desire at the center of care. The vitalism and the normative and anti-dogmatic power of philosophers such as Spinoza, Nietzsche, Canguilhem and Deleuze are a source of inspiration throughout this work, as well as an empirical study conducted with humanitarian actors
Sánchez, Osorio José Francisco. "La valeur économique comme modalité d'action chez Marx." Thesis, Toulouse 2, 2016. http://www.theses.fr/2016TOU20072/document.
Full textThis work offers an interpretation of the category of economic value which is an alternative to the “economistic” reads of Marx. Instead of speaking of the “labor theory of value of Marx” and instead of questioning the veracity of this theory in terms of ability to predict commodity prices from what is stated in The Capital, we offer to focus on the form of economic value. We believe that it is possible to consider the form of economic value from the perspective of human action. Thus, the economic value would be the categorical reflection of a form of action characterized by the fact that men can’t behave vis-à-vis each other, vis-à-vis the natural world and vis-à vis the social world, without running a certain category of substance as a condition of possibility, as a mediator and as a principle of rationalization of their behavior. This understanding of the economic value involves taking into account the quantification of the substance in order to make operative most part of the interactions. This quantification can be seen as a social norm which is in the actions of men without it being, however, an intellectual act taking place “in their head”

Full textIn an attempt to improve the health status of their population, health care systems in developing countries face several organizational issues. These issues include the presence of international organizations with different goals and characteristics, as well as little convergence and poor coordination. While focussing on this specific issue, the objective of this dissertation is to deeply explore the issues related to the process of introducing change in health care systems of developing countries. The research method for this study is a concept analysis that requires a literature review, the use of new theories to clarify these concepts as well as the use of case studies to empirically validate these concepts. Using Parsons’s social action theory and the complexity theory, a new theory of change (1st concept) was developed and applied to the process of introduction of an epidemiological surveillance system in Haiti. More specifically, in the first two articles, we have analysed the process of adopting the epidemiological surveillance system (2nd concept) and the determinants of collaboration among the different organizations involved in the change process (3rd concept). The results from these two articles enabled us to highlights the low level of adoption as well as the weak articulation of the determinants of collaborations between the various organizations involved in the change process. From these analyses, we were able to highlights the dynamics of chaos operating in Haiti’s health care system in the third article. This chaos stage which could enable us to show the difficulties associated with the introduction of change in health systems in developing countries in general, and Haiti in particular, was characterized by a hidden order underlying an apparent disorder in the operation of certain components of the Haitian’s health system, the existence of instability, unpredictability as well as structural invariance at various levels of governance. Moreover, this research also enabled us to show that these characteristics are maintained by the presence of three well articulated and coherent social action systems at all levels of the health pyramid. They are those related to bilateral cooperation agencies, those related to international foundations and global initiatives fighting against AIDS, and finally those associated with the United Nations Organizations. These social action systems are also associated with other more complex systems outside the Haiti’s health system. On the basis of these results, we proposed a new approach to understand the process of introducing change in health care systems of developing countries that would fit into the logic that supports the setting up a larger interconnections and diversification among various organizations involved.
