With the emerging of the experience economy and the rapid transformation of business model, Chinese business landscapes have already been unable to cater to the bidirectional demands of enterprises and customers. The design of business landscape needs a new design concept to coordinate with the future development trend of business district. This paper tries exploring the design methods for the new design of experiential business landscape by combining user experience theory with the theory of business landscape design.

How do different methods employed by landscape architects impact the design outcome? This paper identifies and defines design methods in landscape architecture that may be classified as part of four internal and external connections and structures categories. Methods are further examined through two design exercises. In the first design exercise, the identified methods are individually applied to the same simple design which is used as a control. The only variable changed is the method used to design. The resulting designs are shown and analyzed. In the second design exercise, three differen

Abstract:
In road mitigation systems characterized by multiple wildlife crossing structures (CS) and multiple-focal species, these species-specific design criteria are important to meeting management goals. CS types and locations are fixed in place and cannot be manipulated experimentally; long term studies may offer the best chance to inform evidence-based designs for new CS projects in the future. Long-term data from Banff National Park are uniquely posed to answer these critical questions. More recently, highway mitigation along US93 in Montana provides an additional case study with which to understa

This handbook is the culmination of the NORDGREEN project, which develops and implements smart planning and management solutions for well-designed, high-quality green spaces that promote health and well-being. Researchers and practitioners worked alongside one another in six Nordic cities: Aarhus (Denmark), Espoo and Ii (Finland), Stavanger (Norway), and Täby and Vilhelmina (Sweden). Together, the researchers and practitioners applied methods including GIS data analysis, statistical analysis, PPGIS surveys and analysis, policy document analysis, interviews, and evidence-based design models. Abstract:
Beginning primarily as snowmelt from the Rocky Mountains, the Colorado River supplies water to over 40 million people in seven U.S. states and Mexico. As demand for water grows and climate-driven drought threatens supply, there is an urgent need to advance decision-relevant hydrologic research in this region, which serves as an example for similarly positioned mountain headwaters around the world. Within this report we share the design for a collaborative process for testing innovative approaches to doing research—a test bed for short—that leverages existing research efforts and articulates st
