Abstract:
The taxonomic structure of the Therates fruhstorferi species complex (sensu lato) within the batesi-species group is revised. The lectotypes and paralectotypes of Therates fruhstorferi W. Horn, 1902 and Therates fruhstorferi sauteri W. Horn, 1912 are designated. Therates biserratus Tan, Mo, Liang, 1991 and T. vitalisi ida Mandl, 1954 are restored from the synonyms of T. vitalisi W. Horn, 1913 as the separate species and subspecies, respectively while T. sauteri is considered as a separate species, but not as a subspecies of T. fruhstorferi. Three species and two subspecies are described as new

Background Sexual dimorphism, driven by sexual selection, leads to varied morphological distinctions in male and female insects, providing insights into selection pressures across species. However, research on the morphometric variability within specific taxa of tiger beetles (Coleoptera: Cicindelidae), particularly arboreal and semi-arboreal species, remains very limited. Methods We investigate sexual dimorphism in six semi-arboreal Therates tiger beetle taxa from the Philippines, focusing on morphological traits. Dementia is a chronic insidious disease that destroys the individual's cognitive, emotional and mental abilities. Ultimately, the individual is unable to appropriately verbalize basic wants and needs; therefore, behavioral symptoms become the way of communicating. Behavioral symptoms vary greatly from passivity to hostility and aggression. Unfortunately, due to the difficult task of caring for these individuals many families must place their loved ones in a long-term care facility for direct supervision. This places a greater demand on developing new therapies to treat cancer. Their analysis using the classical bioheat equation has proven to be an effective and useful approach to treatment planning, experiment modeling, and new device development efforts.
