Abstract:
The thermal properties of soursop seeds and kernels were determined as a function of moisture content, ranged from 8.0 to 32.5% (d.b.). Three primary thermal properties: specific heat capacity, thermal conductivity and thermal diffusivity were determined using Dual-Needle SH-1 sensors in KD2-PRO thermal analyser. The obtained results shown that specific heat capacity of seeds and kernels increased linearly from 768 to 2,131 J/kg/K and from 1,137 to 1,438 J/kg/K, respectively. Seed thermal conductivity increased linearly from 0.075 to 0.550 W/m/K while it increased polynomially from 0.153 to 0.

Elemental alloying has been proven to be a valid approach for improving the performance of coatings and has attracted significant research attention. This study aims to explore the impact of W-addition on the structure, mechanical and thermal properties of arc evaporated TiSiN coatings. In this paper, composites of epoxy resin reinforced with walnut husk powder with a granular size (80 nm) were prepared, where the resin was mixed with percentages (1- 4) % by weight. Liquid mixing method and ultrasonic dispersion technique were used for the purpose of obtaining homogeneous nano composites. Thermal insulation tests were carried out using the TCI-MATHIS thermal analysis technique. The practical results showed a significant improvement in the thermal insulation values from (4 to 10) m.K/W. Any penny more than (50%) improved.

The results of the study show that the thermal conductivity of granulated silicon increases from λ ~1,12 W/mK to λ ~2,74 W/mK at T~300÷600 K, which is consistent with the results of silicon oxide (λSiO2~1 W/mK). It was also observed that the electrical conductivity changes in the range of σ~0,0038÷0,017 (Ohm·sm)-1. Abstract Plate samples for a Ni-Cr-W-Mo alloy (UNS N06230) were aged at temperatures of 1200°F (650°C), 1400°F (760°C) and 1600°F (870°C) for periods of up to 16,000 hours. Room temperature tensile and charpy-V impact toughness properties were determined for the aged samples. In addition, the microstructural features of the aged materials were recorded, and SEM examinations were conducted on the fracture surfaces of the impact toughness samples. The results indicate that the alloy possesses excellent thermal stability characteristics.
