My doctoral research has focused on the characterization of dynamic response of atomic force microscope (AFM) cantilevers for thermofluidic and biophysical sensors, a novel scanning thermal microscopy technique development using a tipless microcantilever to investigate micro/nanoscale transport properties in liquid, and the characterization of the surface nanomechanical properties of biocompatible polyelectrolyte hydrogels with AFM for biomedical applications. The temperature effects on Sader‟s viscous model for multilayered microcantilevers immersed in an aqueous medium were experimentally ve

One of the most significant discoveries from mutational analysis of protein interfaces is that often a large percentage of interface residues negligibly perturb the binding energy upon mutation, while residues in a few critical "hotspots" drastically reduce affinity when mutated. The organization of protein interfaces into hotspots has a number of important implications. For example, small interfaces can have high affinity, and when multiple binding partners are generated to the same protein, they are predisposed to binding the same regions and often have the same hotspots. Even small

Multiphase transport phenomena primarily encompass the fundamental principles and applications concerning the systems where overall dynamics are precept by phase change evolution. On the other hand, multiscale transport phenomena essentially corroborate to a domain where the transport characteristics often contain components at disparate scales. Relevant examples as appropriate to multiphase and multiscale thermofluidic transport phenomena comprise solid-liquid phase change during conventional solidification process and hydrodynamics through narrow confinements. 碩士
中原大學
機械工程研究所
89
The purposes of this research are directed at Advanced Boiling Water Reactor (ABWR) adopted by the Lung-Men Nuclear Power Station (LMNPS) using the RELAP5-YA methodology to establish an evaluative mode and to analyze the safety of the behavior of the reactor core under the postulated LOCA conditions. The main point of this research is to simulate loss-of-coolant accidents (LOCAs) which are caused by different broken lines positions and areas and also to evaluate how limiting the accident is if the core reaches its peak cladding temperature (PCT) and the minimum w
