Abstract:
Nano silver has long been known as a highly effective disinfectant, capable of limiting the growth and eliminating many types of mold and bacteria. Nano silver can be synthesized by many different methods, depending on the purpose and requirements of use. Nano silver can be dispersed in solution or carried onto carriers for different applications. However, in solution, silver nanoparticles often tend to bind together, reducing antibacterial activity. In order to promote the antibacterial ability of nano silver and be able to recover and reuse many times, as well as to be able to disperse well into different materials, nano silver is often put on the carriers. In this study, nanosilver was synthesized on the surface of a zeolite by simple methods such as chemical reduction with NaBH4, N2H4 or thermal reduction at 350 °C. Ag+ ions are adsorbed onto 4A zeolite by ion exchange mechanism, then reduced by different methods. The materials were morphologically analyzed by XRD, SEM, EDX methods. Results showed that the method of reducing Ag+ to Ag0 on zeolite surface by chemical agent produce more evenly distributed silver nano-sized particles than the thermal reduction method. The silver content on the zeolite surface of the hydrazine reduction method is about 3 times higher than that of the sodium borohydride reduction method. The highest content of silver nanocarrying to zeolite. Zeolite bearing nano silver has the ability to disinfect against E.Coli with a concentration of ≥ 5 mg/ml. The Ag02/Z sample reducing Ag+ to Ag0 by Hydrazin has the best antibacterial ability against E.coli compared with the remaining samples when the diameter of the sterile ring at the concentration of 20 mg/ml is 9 mm. Abstract:
This study investigates the factors influencing compulsory tax compliance behavior among digital content creators in Vietnam, a sector experiencing rapid growth amid evolving digital tax regulations. A quantitative approach was used to collect data from Google Forms sent via email and social media, receiving 282 participant responses. The SmartPLS 3.0 software was used to analyze the data collected through the survey process. The results of the study indicate that four factors influence compulsory tax compliance of content creators in Vietnam: Tax fairness, the power of tax authorities, tax awareness, and tax complexity. Policy recommendations are proposed to improve tax administration and support digital content creators to effectively meet their tax obligations in Vietnam’s dynamic digital economy.

Abstract:
In Viet Nam, non-sulfide zinc ore in the Cho Dien deposit has been exploited for a long time. Up to the present, zinc ore remains the major exploited ore in Cho Dien. There are numerous studies of Pb-Zn ore in Cho Dien. However, most of the studies have dedicated only to description of mineralogical and chemical composition of Pb-Zn ore. There has been no publication on this non-sulfide zinc ore. Based on the mineralogical studies, the content of Pb and Zn in groundwater determined by reflective microscope, SEM, EPMA and ICP-MS methods, the study explained the formation of secondary non-sulfide zinc ore in the Cho Dien deposit. Strong weathering process makes the upper part of ore bodies completely oxidized. Difference in geochemical behavior of lead (Pb) and zinc (Zn) in the oxidation process of Pb-Zn ore is the reason to form non-sulfide zinc ore in the Cho Dien deposit. Oxidation of primary Pb-Zn ore is mainly sphalerite, pyrite, galena minerals which creates a low pH environment and transforms of zinc from immobile (sphalerite - ZnS) to mobile (Zn2+) and retained in solution under acid pH conditions whereas lead has the tendency to form soluble minerals (anglesite, cerussite). The acid neutralization actions of the surrounding rocks make zinc precipitate, to form secondary non-sulfide zinc minerals.ReferencesAndreas Nuspl, 2009. Abstract:
In Vietnam, Cinnamomum cassia is widely utilized not only as a spice but also as a key ingredient in medicine, cosmetics, and the processing industry. The varying climatic conditions across different geographic regions where cinnamon is cultivated significantly influence its quality, often leading to the unintentional mixing of cinnamon from multiple sources. To analyze cinnamon samples, Attenuated Total Reflectance-Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (ATR-FTIR) was employed to measure 139 samples collected from four distinct provinces in Vietnam – Yen Bai, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa, and Quang Nam – each representing unique climatic conditions. To enhance data quality, the second derivative Savitzky-Golay smoothing method was applied, improving spectral resolution and reducing noise. Unsupervised chemometric techniques, including Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Hierarchical Cluster Analysis (HCA), were used to assess classification potential. Additionally, supervised machine learning models, such as Support Vector Machine (SVM), Decision Tree (DT), Random Forest (RF), GausianNB, BernoulliNB, AdaBoost, and Gradient Boosting were combined with PCA results and trained using first derivative Savitzky-Golay smoothed spectra for classification. The results demonstrated that the PCA-SVM model achieved the highest classification accuracy (96.88%) with the second derivative spectra, whereas first derivative and raw data exhibited lower performance. This study underscores that ATR-FTIR spectroscopy, when combined with second-derivative preprocessing and PCA-SVM, provides a simple, rapid, non-destructive, and cost-effective approach for distinguishing cinnamon bark samples based on their geographical origin, offering valuable insights for quality assessment. Abstract:
Rong Cave is one of the more important caves in northern Vietnam’s Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark (part of the Global Geoparks Network), because its subterranean lake provides agricultural and domestic water for neighboring communities. Maintenance and utilization of Rong Cave’s water reservoir, as well as touristic cave use, require frequent human access to Rong Cave. Depending on the availability of seasonal drip water and the water level of the lake, the abundant clay-rich sediment in the back portion of Rong Cave and possible seepage of gas from deeper strata along geologic faults provide seasonally elevated concentrations of radon in cave air. Based on repeated measurements over 10 months in 2015 and 2016 of the concentrations of radon isotopes (222Rn and 220Rn, also called thoron) with a portable SARAD® RTM 2200 instrument (SARAD® GmbH, Germany), the human total annual inhalation dose was estimated according to the UNSCEAR (2000) algorithm. The result indicates that the radon-related radiation exposure is insignificant for short-term visitors but may reach ~1.8 mSv a-1 for tour guides and ~25 mSv a-1 for cave utility workers. The latter values exceed the IAEA-recommended safety threshold of 1 mSv a-1 (IAEA, 1996). We recommend radiation monitoring for cave utility workers and tour guides. Prolonged human presence in Rong Cave should be avoided during periods of seasonally elevated radon concentrations.References Cigna A.A., 2005. Radon in caves. Abstract:
Climate change induced sea-level rise (SLR) is on its increase globally. Regionally the lowlands of China, Vietnam, Bangladesh, and islands of the Malaysian, Indonesian and Philippine archipelagos are among the world’s most threatened regions. Sea-level rise has major impacts on the ecosystems and society. It threatens coastal populations, economic activities, and fragile ecosystems as mangroves, coastal salt-marches and wetlands. This paper provides a summary of the current state of knowledge of sea level-rise and its effects on both human and natural ecosystems. The focus is on coastal urban areas and low lying deltas in South-East Asia and Vietnam, as one of the most threatened areas in the world. About 3 mm per year reflects the growing consensus on the average SLR worldwide. The trend speeds up during recent decades. The figures are subject to local, temporal and methodological variation. In Vietnam the average values of 3.3 mm per year during the 1993-2014 period are above the worldwide average. Although a basic conceptual understanding exists that the increasing global frequency of the strongest tropical cyclones is related with the increasing temperature and SLR, this relationship is insufficiently understood. Moreover the precise, complex environmental, economic, social, and health impacts are currently unclear. SLR, storms and changing precipitation patterns increase flood risks, in particular in urban areas. Part of the current scientific debate is on how urban agglomeration can be made more resilient to flood risks. Where originally mainly technical interventions dominated this discussion, it becomes increasingly clear that proactive special planning, flood defense, flood risk mitigation, flood preparation, and flood recovery are important, but costly instruments. Next to the main focus on SLR and its effects on resilience, the paper reviews main SLR associated impacts: Floods and inundation, salinization, shoreline change, and effects on mangroves and wetlands. The hazards of SLR related floods increase fastest in urban areas. This is related with both the increasing surface major cities are expected to occupy during the decades to come and the increasing coastal population. In particular Asia and its megacities in the southern part of the continent are increasingly at risk. The discussion points to complexity, inter-disciplinarity, and the related uncertainty, as core characteristics. An integrated combination of mitigation, adaptation and resilience measures is currently considered as the most indicated way to resist SLR today and in the near future.References Aerts J.C.J.H., Hassan A., Savenije H.H.G., Khan M.F., 2000.
