In this contribution, we present simulations and first experimental results on the apparent longitudinal relaxation behavior of mobile spins in thin periodically excited slices. This phenomenon is especially of interest in the context of NMR microimaging at extremely high spatial resolution and also for the development of mechanically detected NMR on biological samples under semiambient conditions. In the most simple case, the signal amplitude available in such an experiment is determined by the recovery of saturated in-slice magnetization during the time interval between two excitations. This

Para tal realizámos dois estudos, o primeiro de codificação de comportamentos não verbais de 46 candidatos em contexto real de entrevistas de seleção e o segundo de julgamento com 100 participantes (profissionais e estudantes). It has, however, become clear that the role of the writer within the collaborative game development process is still ill-defined. And therefore, the writer who wishes to start writing for the g

In this thesis, the superconductive and superresistive properties of thin percolating films of lead nanoclusters are presented. The samples were created by depositing clusters from an inert gas aggregation cluster source onto substrates held at either room temperature or 10K. Observations of the characteristic behaviours of the samples were made through R(T ) and V (I) measurements. Several interesting features were observed - smooth and discrete steps in the R(I) curves, hysteresis between increasing and decreasing bias currents, and non-zero resistances at superconducting temperatures. Intuition is an important aspect of counseling, several revered counselors have either attested to the powers of their intuition or have had such powers attributed to them by their contemporaries. Moreover, many counselors believe that their intuition is more influential in their work with clients than are evidence-based practices (EBPs). However, the academy criticizes intuition for its susceptibility to cognitive errors and its poor performance when compared to statistical methods. In addition, the exact nature of intuition's role in counseling is largely unknown. Therefore, its contribution

Increased airway smooth muscle (ASM) mass contributes to airway hyperresponsiveness (AHR) in asthma and is orchestrated by growth factors, cytokines and chemokines. Airway contractile responses are influenced by neuromediators, such as acetylcholine, and glutamate released by parasympathetic and sympathetic airway nerves. Hyperactivity of these neural elements, termed neurogenic inflammation, is linked with hypercontractility and AHR. Abstract:
Our perceptual systems can create a rich representation of the social cues gathered during social interaction. Very brief exposures or ‘thin slices’ of behavioural and linguistic information are sufficient for making accurate judgments regarding social situations and building these social representations. This is akin to our accurate recognition of static visual stimuli with brief exposures to a scene in the study of scene gist (Oliva, 2005). Internal consistency was excellent for the thin slice measure and questionable for the interval measure. Inter-rater reliability was good for both.
